Author's Notes:

Hope you guys enjoy my longest chapter yet! It was so much fun to write. And thank you for your support!

-Three Months Later, Ponyville-

Obsidia couldn't have been happier when she found out that a problem with developing a way for the dinosaurs to get home would keep them stranded in Equestria for at least another year. That meant more time with Rex. The unicorn seemed equally as joyful about the situation as the light brown pegasus did.

She could've been a lot happier when a doctor found out something that even SHE didn't know after a certain furious Dilophosaurus attacked her, a way of taking revenge on Rex... The doctor found out one day after a blood sample to test for venom in the blood stream was ready for analysis.

If her parents found out, she had pretty much decided that they were probably going to kill her. They would already know if the doctor hadn't promised to keep her mouth shut about the situation.

"You can't tell ANYPONY!" Obsidia had panicked. "If my parents find out, they'll KILL me!"

"They wouldn't do that..." the nurse had said with a not-so-heart warming smile. "They'll probably get extremely furious, yes. Kill you? Nah." the pony continued, turning and opening the door for the pegasus.

"Gee. That makes me feel a WHOLE lot better about the situation. Thanks." Obsidia said sarcastically at the time.

"I'll keep my lips sealed. But only because you're my favorite patient with that humor of yours." the doctor said, causing Obsidia's wings to lift, as well as her mood. Obsidia uttered a sigh of relief and a thanks before exiting the room.

-Three Days Later-

Obsidia's parents spoke as if she wasn't there. The pegasus shifted uncomfortably in her seat, dislike the direction the conversation had taken involving 'cravings' or even worse, 'labor.' These were both something that the light brown pegasus would unfortunately have to face in the near future. Obsidia wondered how the foal would look. She made the assumption that it would be an alicorn, due to Rex's and her own species.

With a sigh, the pegasus dropped her gaze to the floor.

Scarlet Blitz looked at her daughter with a concerned expression spreading across her face. "Honey what's wrong?" the white and red pegasus asked Obsidia.

"N-nothing!" she stammered, her wings stiffening with fear as Onyx lifted an eyebrow and shifted his view to the nervous Obsidia, a glare forming on his face in suspicion.

"Something's obviously wrong." Onyx stated, only adding to the pressure. "And I want to know, right now."

Scarlet Blitz frowned and looked at Obsidia with a nerve wracking expression that only a parent could give chewing out their child. "C'mon, spill the oats." her mother told the light brown pegasus with a demanding tone able to be hinted at on her voice.

Obsidia looked at the snow white pegasus with a look of pure guilt. Onyx clenched his teeth together in growing agitation as his daughter bit her lip and avoided eye contact with her momentarily. "I-I... RRRGH! Why is it so hard to talk to you two right now?" Obsidia growled to herself, holding a hoof to her forehead.

"One of classical, first signs of having done something you know you shouldn't have." Onyx grumbled quietly, shaking his head in anger. "Stalling."

"Dad, can I tell you later?" Obsidia asked the irritated stallion. "I would feel safer telling mom, first."

"Fine. Take all the time you need!" he grumbled, rising to his hooves and exiting the room. A loud slam rang out in Obsidia's ears momentarily as she winced at the sound.

"Now then." Scarlet said. "Why the secrets? What's wrong?"

"I-I'm... Well what I mean is, I may be... Uuuhh. I could possibly be..." the light brown pegasus stammered, trying to find the right wording that won't be too angering.

"You may be, what?" her mother asked, lifting an eyebrow at her daughter and lifting her head to look her in the eyes.

"Pregnant." Obsidia said suddenly and swiftly, nervous, stressed, and utterly terrified about what her parents would think of the situation. The pegasus winced briefly, expecting shouts, or negative language of some kind.

Scarlet sat there, her eyes wide with surprise. "Holy hell." she muttered, becoming unmoving, contemplating what to make of the situation. "Hmm." she pondered, rubbing her chin in thought. "Your sure of this?"

"The doctor found out after a blood draw to see if any of the changeling's venom was in my blood stream after he attacked me." she muttered sadly, nodding her head with a disappointed from on her face. "I didn't realize."

"I believe you... Who got you this way, baby?"

"Rex." Obsidia murmured, her eyes on the floor instead of her mother.

"Come again?" Scarlet asked, lifting a hoof to her ear to signal that she hadn't heard the pegasus' reply.

"Rex." the pegasus mare said again, this time just barely audible to her mother. Obsidia looked up at her mother with the look that didn't need her to apologize, it did that for her.

"Soooo, you somehow managed to get yourself alone with him... and go at it?" Scarlet asked, surprisingly calm as she put the reply into the forefront of her mind.

"Yeah." Obsidia acknowledged with clear-as-a-sunny-day guilt... and fear.

"Your father's going to go ballistic, you know that right?" the white mare asked, placing a gentle hoof on Obsidia's shoulder.

"Yes... But that's why I wanted to talk to you first. I thought you'd understand how nervous I was. I just don't know what to do." the pegasus said in a slightly panicked voice, her ears flat and her wings limp.

"HONEY! Calm down! Alright? I'm not mad. Just a little surprised, is all. But I can totally relate to the situation you're in. When I was told that I was pregnant with you, Frost Bloom practically had a heart attack. You see, at the time, she absolutely HATED your father and uncle, so the doctor had to try and get her face to go from purple with anger, to the normal blue you're used to seeing."

Obsidia couldn't help but giggle at the words.

"Anyway, back to the subject. Does Rex know your pregnant yet?" Scarlet Blitz asked, causing Obsidia's heart to sink in her chest. Obsidia's shoulders sagged as she slowly shook her head... "Aw, Sweetie." he mother cooed sympathetically, pulling her daughter into her arms. "We'll sort this out, how's that sound?" she whispered into her ear.

"Thanks for understanding, mum." Obsidia replied, a tear rolling down her cheek.

When the two had finished, Scarlet looked into her daughter's eyes and gently wiped a tear away from her cheek. "You ready, sweetheart?" she asked the nervous pegasus.

"I guess." Obsidia murmured with a sigh.

"Okay." her mother replied, letting an irritated Onyx into the room

"You ready to tell me what's going on lately?" he asked, tapping an impatient hoof against the wooden floorboards. It was a moment before he heard anything more than a mutter.

"Yeah."

"Then let's hear it." he said, terrifyingly serious. His nostrils already began to flare and an underbite already present as he prepared for what he had been suspecting from Obsidia the entire time.

"I..." she began, gulping. "I'm pregnant." Obsidia brace herself for the bellow like shouting that would come from her father. Only, none came. Onyx's hoof stopped tapping as he gazed at the pegasus with a mix of awe and bewilderment.

"Well, to be completely honest, I expected you to confess to doing drugs or something like that." he said with a slightly guilty smile, rubbing the back of his head with a hoof. "But this? Obsidia, you're only 19. And, who on Equestria is the father?" Onyx asked, his voice growing low and serious.

"That's what I was afraid to tell you..." Obsidia sighed, taking a deep breath. "Rex... is the father." the pegasus mare continued, looking at her father with an apologetic expression.

Onyx's expression remained terrifyingly calm, only stressing Obsidia more than she needed to be. "Okay." he replied. "Don't see any reason to be surprised that HE'S going to be the father."

"So, you're not angry?" Obsidia asked, ever hopeful.

"I didn't say that. I'm actually pretty pissed about that, but seeing to the fact that the only solution to the problem is abortion, an option that only a heartless, idiot of a parent, would do to their child, I don't see any reason to be tearing my mane out. Rex being the father, however. That's different." he said, noticing the terrified look on Obsidia's face. "Don't worry! I'm not going to do that! And it doesn't mean I love you any less. It just means that I am going to have to have a serious chat with Mister Rex." he reassured the pegasus with a soft smile, causing her wings to lift and a smile to cross her face.

"Thank you!" she shouted joyfully, wrapping her arms around his neck.

-Thirty Minutes Later-

Rex entered the room, an irritated scowl crossing the unicorn stallion's face. "Was it so important that you couldn't wait until my lunch break or AFTER work?" he growled, not noticing the stern, serious expression on Onyx's face until after he had finished ranting on about his job as one of Canterlot's guards.

"No. I think you might want to hear this." Onyx said, a sarcastic smile crossing his face.

"O-oh! Sorry, Mister Onyx." he stammered, correcting himself as quickly as he could. He then planted himself next to Obsidia, kissing her on the cheek. The mechanic rolled his eyes before starting

"Were you made aware that my daughter is pregnant?" he asked, a quizzical, if not irritated, expression.

"N-no, Sir! W-why?" Rex gulped, choking on the words.

"Because if things go according to plan, that means you, young mare, getting your butt to Canterlot in a few months so Rex can look after you," he started, pointing at Obsidia with wide eyes. He then turned to Rex. "you're going to be a father." Onyx continued as Rex took a swallow of coffee that he had brought home from Hoofington Farms.

Suddenly, the tall stallion held a hoof over his mouth and choked down the coffee. Letting his tongue hang from his mouth, he looked closely at the label and shrugged his shoulders before turning back to Onyx. "So, wait. I'm gonna be a father?"

Obsidia nodded her head, her cheeks flushing slightly.

Rex dropped the coffee cup, its contents spilling onto the wooden floor. His eyes rolled into the back of his head as he fell backward, Obsidia gasping in fright.

-A Few Months Later, Canterlot-

Obsidia lay upon the bed in her designated chambers, Princess Celestia having been kind enough to look after her as Onyx requested until the foal came. Rex gazed at the pegasus mare's belly with a soft smile, a twinkle in his eye. Obsidia, on the other hoof, was far less happy than the unicorn stallion. Hardly a day passed that when she felt a kick, the risk of hurting herself from the shock wasn't present. To make matters worse, the cravings that her parents had spoken of were enjoyable, those cravings involving an item that is frowned upon the usual pony menu: meat. Living with a carnivore changed her from an herbivore to an omnivore.

Looking at the bright side, though, she was a big sister! Her little sister had been born shortly after the discovery of Obsidia's own pregnancy.

Obsidia, grumbling and cursing under her breath while staring down at her large tummy, was beginning to feel resentful toward Rex, though he didn't care much.

"Ah, cheer up!" the former Tyrannosaurus told her, waving a hoof.

"I hate you right now." she growled in response to his comment, her lips curving downward at the thought of the future pain that she would have to go through delivering the foal. Blood, Sweat, and Tears, her mother had once told her when the pegasus heedlessly asked what it was like to give birth.

"You say that now." Rex chuckled, approaching Obsidia with a devious grin on his face. "But just wait."

With that, he sat on his haunches and leaned forward, kissing the pegasus on the lips. It pulled the annoyed feeling from Obsidia like taking candy from a foal. Obsidia's eyelids dropped and her frown morphed into a smile as Rex gently pulled her toward him and wrapped his arms around her waist. Then, cautiously, the stallion lifted her up and let himself onto her bed before releasing Obsidia just long enough for her to get comfortable.

For a dinosaur, Rex was quite capable of being just as romantic as some of the stallions the pegasus used to date when she was just a teen.

"You remember our first kiss?" Obsidia asked the predatory dinosaur king turned gentle unicorn.

"How could I forget?" Rex replied, kissing her again. "It was a full moon, we were under the stars with the sounds of crickets in the grass. he said with a giddy smile, his hoof trailing up her hip toward her wrist.

"Yeah. Then the next morning I woke to my dad yelling in my face." Obsidia said flatly, causing the both of them to laugh. The pegasus winced at the pain caused by the jolting movement and held her belly.

"You alright?" Rex asked, a frown on his face and his brow furrowed. He then held a hoof to her stomach and therapeutically rubbed it with his hoof, a soft reassuring grin crossing his face, revealing some of his curved teeth. The teeth of a predator. Despite what used to be a vicious predator, the stallion was no less a citizen to Equestria than any of its other residents now.

"I'll be okay." Obsidia reassured him, though his expression believed otherwise. Her breath was now coming faster, as well as her heartbeat. Rex frowned and ran his hoof through her mane. Slowly, her breath and heart rate slowed and returned to it's normal state. Rex let out a long sigh, as he knew that this would happen again in the near future.

A quiet knock interrupted the two, the door opening as a familiar face entered the room with a smile. "Knock, knock." Frost Bloom said quietly, her eyes fixed on Obsidia.

"Hello, Frosty?" Obsidia said as her mother's friend was followed by a servant unicorn with a tray levitating beside her. Standing on the tray was a mug of steaming liquid and an assortment of medical utensils... Including a syringe. "Crap." the pegasus muttered as the doctor nurse placed the mug on a nightstand next to the bed.

"Sorry." the icy blue mare said sympathetically, sucking in her breath with an apologetic grin. "It's just to make sure that you're doing alright. Oh, and I brought a little surprise to lift your spirits.

On cue, a metallic clopping and a loud voice caught Obsidia's attention. "Alright, where is she?!" Ratchet called out, entering the room with a goofy grin on his face. "Thanks, Babe." he then said, quickly planting a kiss on Frost's face before turning to the pregnant pegasus.

A joyful grin crossed Obsidia's face at the sight of the guard, his armor and uniform still on his back as a result in the sudden change of plan involving his visit to his niece. "Uncle Ratchet!" she exclaimed, climbing out of bed with an effortful grunt to hug her uncle.

"Hey, kiddo!" Ratchet replied. "How goes things with 'you know what?'" he then asked, winking and nudging her shoulder with his elbow. A grin crossed his face.

"Smoothly. Doctors said it should be due some time this, or next month." Obsidia replied with a smile.

"Good! Good. Anyway, I brought ya a little gift along the way. Thought it might help with them cravings of yours." Ratchet said, pulling a small box from a pocket on his saddlebag with a smile.

"Hey, Ratchet." Rex's voice said, causing the guard stallion to look up.

"How d'ya do?" Ratchet replied, nodding his head to the stallion.

"Not half bad." the unicorn replied, returning the gesture. He then noticed a large steak in Obsidia's hoof, a smile spread across her face. "Yer gonna share, right." Rex the pegasus mare playfully.

"In your dreams." Obsidia replied, rolling her eyes. "Thank you." she then said to her uncle happily, wrapping her arms around his neck with a smile. The Earth pony blushed slightly and rubbed the back of his head.

"Oh, it was nothin, really... But your welcome." the pony replied, gently returning the hug with a smile. "Now, you better get yerself back into bed before you hurt yourself." Ratchet continued, pointing at the large bed.

Obsidia groaned but didn't object to his order.

"Drink this." the servant then told Obsidia, cautiously handing her the mug. "It'll keep the pain at bay, should any sudden movements occur.

"Thank you." the mare replied, gently blowing on the drink before she took a sip. Rex smiled and turned to Ratchet.

"Thanks for stopping by." Jurassic World's former Tyrannosaurus Rex said to the stallion.

"Anytime." Ratchet acknowledged, approaching Obsidia. "Enjoy the steak, stay in bed, and try not to make any sudden movements." Ratchet told her, kissing her forehead and turning to walk off.

"Thank you!" she called after him, a smile crossing her face as she snuggled herself under the covers of the bedding.

"Your welcome." Ratchet said with calm, quietly closing the door behind him as he left the room.

"Now for your shot." the servant unicorn said, lifting the syringe from the tray. "This will only hurt a little." she continued as Rex reassuringly squeezed Obsidia's hoof.

Obsidia's eyes widened as the doctor stuck the needle into an artery in her arm. "MMM." she breathed through tight lips, trying her best not to yell at the pain.

-Later That Month-

Rex's ears twitched as a voice echoed in his mind, arousing him from his deep slumber. Groggily, the stallion lifted his head, he could hear the sound of rapid gasps. Suddenly, the realization struck him like a taser used on his home planet.

Jumping to his hooves, Rex swung his head to look at Obsidia. Even in the dim light he could see that the blood drained from her face. Swiftly, but gently, the unicorn lifted the pegasus and hoisted her onto his back. "Rexy, Baby." her hoarse voice whispered exhaustively as he sprinted toward the medical wing, fear of the worst striking him in the heart with invisible impact. A terrified expression began to cross the stallion's face as he listened to the mare float in and out of consciousness.

For what seemed, like hours, Rex ran until he thought his lungs would burst and his heart explode. And he kept running still.

Finally, a door marked MEDICAL WING came into his well adapted eye sight. Without stopping, he gently placed the labored Obsidia onto the marble floor and bucked the door, throwing it from it's reinforced hinges. He then lifted the pegasus back onto his shoulders and rushed into the room, where he nearly collided with Princess Celestia.

"Y-you gotta help!" Rex gasped, taking gulps of air into his airways.

Seeing the pony on his back, Celestia swiftly levitated Obsidia to a bed with a gentle hold and rushed toward a group of doctors, who apparently hadn't seen the door strike the opposite wall.

The ponies went right to work, helping Obsidia through the grueling process.

"I'm sorry, but I'm afraid you have to wait outside." one said, attempting to push Rex out the door. The stallion didn't budge, but only glared down at the struggling mare.

"NO!" he snarled in her face. "I'm not going anywhere!" he shouted, baring the ranks of sharp teeth imbedded in his jaws.

"He will stay if he wishes." Princess Celestia said as Obsidia screamed in pain, startling even the celestial monarch.

Rex trotted to the mare's side with a worried expression, his hoof squeezing her own. Her cries accompanied his own periodic worried sobs.

As the seconds turned to minutes and the minutes to hours, Rex found himself repeatedly slipping into sleep, despite his worry for the pegasus mare. And despite his best efforts, even Dinosaurs need sleep every once in a while.

But finally, when his eyelids dropped and his breath became audible with snores, a new cry startled him awake. That of a child, but not like any human cry he'd ever heard. It was more of a whinny than a cry.

"It's a filly!" he heard a doctor shout joyfully.

Rex grunted from exhaustion as he lifted himself to his hooves. A doctor carefully scooted past the stallion and gently placed what appeared to be a bundle of towels into Obsidia's arms. The mare's cries slowly ceased, except for the occasional gesture of slight pain. Rex glanced from the smiling, though blood drained and sweat soaked Obsidia, to the bundle in the crook of her arms.

It was the most beautiful thing he'd ever seen... A tiny pony with a red and brown mane, and a small horn sticking out of the middle of her forehead.

"Congratulations, you two love birds." Princess Celestia said, giving Rex a light punch on the shoulder. Rex could only sit there, his bottom jaw slackly hung open, and his eyes wide. Obsidia smiled up at the stallion, the blood slowly returning to her face. With a noticeable wince, she carefully laid the bundle in Rex's arms. The new father gently pulled part of the towels away to get a better look at his new daughter. Obsidia smiled at the sight of a pair of striped wings slowly flexing themselves apart. It was an alicorn.

Astonished at the first alicorn birth in decades, Celestia gazed down at the brown and red newborn.

Rex cracked a toothy grin as the foal uttered a tiny whinny and placed her front hooves on his snout. With an affectionate nuzzle, Rex's yellow eyes met the fillies' rose red eyes. The tiny alicorn let a tiny yawn from her mouth, her eyelids lowering slightly as Rex gently placed the foal into the crook of her mother's arms.

It was then that the thought really sank into Rex's mind. "I'm a father." he muttered, holding a hoof to his forehead.

"You alright there?" the celestial mare asked Rex, nudging his shoulder.

"Yeah. I'll be fine." he replied, shaking the dizziness from his head and vision.

Suddenly, the room became filled with Talon, Unicorn Wizard, Toucan, and surprisingly, Dawn. "You little charmer, you." Talon teased Rex, a mischievous smile crossing her face as she wrapped her left arm around his neck and rapidly ran a hoof back and forth on his head.

"Get OFF!" he commanded with a grin, pulling away from the spinosaurid's grip.

Unicorn Wizard approached Rex with a smile and a respectful bow. Dawn stood, rooted in a spot, not so much as a twitch in her lips appearing to anypony.

Toucan was the first of the three saurians to get a good look at the newborn. His eyes lit up and the pterosaur gryphon cracked a smile. "Congrats!" he beamed, the same goofy, toothless grin on his face.

"Thank you." Obsidia replied as Dawn finally moved, leaning over the mother and gazing at the frail alicorn. Obsidia pulled the pony away from the hybrid with a deathly glare.

Rex patted the albino on the shoulder, a sigh leaking from his throat. "Don't get yer mane all tangled up." he said as the Indominus clenched her teeth together and growled, resisting the urge to slam her jaws on his wrist. She liked her space, and Rex had just then intruded on it.

"I may be calm now, but I won't be if you don't get your filthy hooves of of me." she growled as Onyx and Scarlet Blitz entered the room and pushed their way to their daughter.

"Obsidia, sweet heart!" Scarlet shouted, her eyes wide with worry. Onyx's expression was hardly any different. As the couple approached the bed, Onyx took one look at his daughters sweat soaked, blood drained face and fainted.

"Dad!" the pegasus mare said with concern.

"Well, that happened/" Rex muttered, receiving a menacing glare from Obsidia. "What?" he chuckled, shrugging his shoulders and putting his hooves into the air jokingly.

Scarlet Blitz swiftly lifted her husband up and opened his eyelid. Quick to react, the stallion shook himself from his daze as Bill Redwood and Ratchet let themselves into the room.

"What happened?" Onyx asked, rubbing his eyes.

"You're a grandfather!" Scarlet explained with a wide smile.

"R-really?" he asked in shock.

"It would appear so." Bill Redwood answered for the red and white pegasus, gazing at the young alicorn with a soft smile crossing his face, his cheek pushed up into his eye.

"I'm so proud of you." Onyx said, Scarlet, Red, and Ratchet nodding in agreement.

"You should be." a deep, menacing voice growled. Rex's pupils constricted as he swung around to see a trio of ponies, lead by One Eye. Venom and the Ophiacodon trailed close behind the scarred tyrant.

"YOU!" Rex snarled through clench teeth, shaking with rage. The other ponies took a step away from him as the stallion's face turned bright red, his mane and tail bristled with growing anger.

"I must say. I felt quite distressed at not receiving an invitation to this marry gathering." One Eye declared, ignoring the stallion. Obsidia could almost picture steam shooting out of Rex's ears like she used to see on cartoons as a foal.

"You're not welcome hear." the former tyrannosaur snarled, baring his teeth.

"Oh, whatever shall I do about this, this... Situation?" One Eye said with a twisted smirk on his face, the smug expression infuriating the father.

"Let me handle this." Venom growled, approaching Rex with an overly confident smirk, his flaming frill of skin slowly spreading. Rex let a chuckle leak from his throat as a particularly fun tactic that he used on King Sombra months ago floated into his conscious. With a devious grin, the stallion threw a hoof at the changeling's face, striking him square in the nose. The now pissed Venom screamed in pain, furiously stomping his hooves on the floor as he held his nose.

"You idiot." One Eye grumbled, shaking his head and holding a hoof to it.

"Let's see YOU try to dodge that!" Venom yelled in defense. "He punches like a god damn bullet!" he continued, his face growing red with anger.

"Language flag." Rex corrected wagging a hoof in the dilophosaur's face. Venom promptly slapped it away and glared at the stallion with disbelief.

Dawn raised an eyebrow, Toucan spread his wings, and Unicorn Wizard's horn was enveloped in a purple aura, the magic pulsing through the floor. Talon joined in as well, unhinging her jaws to reveal rows of conical, fish hunting teeth.

One Eye snarled, Venom held his nose, and the Ophiacodon growled menacingly, her own horn crackling and firing of small, teal sparks of magic.

"ENOUGH!" a voice yelled before the battle could even go underway. It was Obsidia, her face flushed bright red as she gently handed the alicorn foal to Princess Celestia.

"I'll NOT deal with this today." she said in a startlingly demanding voice. "One Eye. Let me ask you a hypothetical question. Would you attack us if it meant looking like a complete LUNATIC in front of EVERYPONY in the room? What did we do that pissed you off, huh? Why do you CONTINUOUSLY, show up, only to kill?" she shouted in One Eye's face, causing him to cower slightly. Rex stared at his girlfriend, flabbergasted with the anger that she was capable of.

"Uh... I... Holy shit." he stammered with wide eyes as Obsidia's look only hardened.

"I-I, blah, blah." Obsidia mocked, either bravely, or extremely supidly. "Stop blabbering and speak up, lizard!" she commanded him, not noticing the scowl on his face.

"You're starting to scare me." One Eye said, reeling back as the pegasus grabbed him by the scruff on his neck.

"Good." Obsidia growled, apparently fully recovered from the three hour long ordeal she just went through. "Now listen up, bird-brain. You're starting to piss me off on a day that is supposed to be one of the best in my life. Are you sure you want it to get any worse?" she threatened through clenched teeth, an angry underbite becoming visible to Rex's mirror brother.

Rex couldn't take his eyes off of the mare with wide eyes as she chewed out the taller, and obviously stronger, unicorn before her.
Looking around, he wasn't the only one staring. Everypony in the room, including Princess Celestia, was staring at the enraged Obsidia with wide eyes, not one of them daring to interrupt her guilt tripping.

Talon was the first to speak. "You're getting your but whooped by a NATIVE." she muttered. "And your a dinosaur!" the spinosaurus mare continued, causing the other former dinosaurs to chuckle quietly to themselves.

"I did NOT wait seven months just to have some scarred chicken headed FREAK ruin my day, understand?!" Obsidia yelled at the terrified striped unicorn, her face now as red as the streaks in her mane. "Now, you and your lizard friends better get your furry asses out of here before I KICK 'em out!" she finished, slapping his cheek with full force.

"That's gonna hurt in the morning." Rex laughed in One Eye's face, noticing that the bruising was already taking affect.

"If he's still alive tomorrow morning." Obsidia grumbled, gently taking her foal from Celestia's hoof and laying back on the bed.

"C'mon, guys! Let's go, before she goes berserk on us." One Eye growled in a slightly panicked voice. The other two ponies nodded in agreement before practically trampling each other as they rushed to the door.

"Is that really our daughter?" Onyx whispered into Scarlet Blitz's ear. "Cause I didn't know she was capable of that."

Scarlet slowly nodded her head in response, flabbergasted with how easily the pegasus scared perhaps the most ruthless and terrifying pony known to Canterlot away.

"I know what we can call her." Obsidia's voice said, interrupting the white pegasus' train of thought... "Thalia...Little Thalia Redwood." she whispered, nuzzling the foal's belly with a smile. Rex smiled and nodded his head, staring into the alicorn's large, ruby red eyes.

"Yes, Thalia is perfect." he whispered, planting a kiss on Obsidia's cheek.

"AWWWWW!" the ponies whinnied, followed by a single applaud from Unicorn Wizard, then by Toucan, the doctors, Obsidia's parents, Princess Celestia, Bill, Ratchet, and Talon.

"C'mon, Dawn." Talon said, dragging the hybrid into the group. A frown crossed the albino mare's face before the spinosaurid nudged her shoulder with a toothy grin. "Birth. Awesome. Smile." the Earth mare cued, lifting the corner of her lips with her hooves to form a grim. "And don't think nobody saw that last one." she continued. "Behind that stone cold, predatory face lies a heart of gold, and you know it."

"Yeah, sure." the Indominus Rex snorted irritably, rolling her eyes.

Everypony soon grew quiet, watching as a small alicorn wiggled out of the towels with a tiny sounding whinny. Obsidia and Rex smiled as the foal exhaled a small sneeze. With a little help from her father, Thalia stood on shaky hooves momentarily before sneezing again and falling into the beds soft cushioning. Obsidia chuckled quietly to herself before lifting Thalia and holding her to her chest, the mother's heartbeat pushing the pony into a sound sleep.

Finally, Dawn cracked a barely noticeable smile as Rex sighed with a smile before Obsidia was soon asleep as well. Rex rose to his hooves and motioned for his friends to leave. The doctors followed, allowing the family some alone time.

"Let me know if you need anything, Princess Celestia whispered before leaving the room, a aura enveloped door following her. With a quiet shifting, the door was back on the hinges, leaving Onyx, Scarlet, Obsidia, and Rex at peace. As well as the small alicorn snuggling into the crook of her mother's arms.

Onyx and Scarlet stayed awake as Rex soon found himself also asleep. Onyx smiled at his wife and kissed her cheek. Soon Scarlet had her head rested on his shoulder and was snoring softly.

So it turned out, that Rex wasn't that bad a stallion or father, that Onyx originally thought he would be.

"Cute couple, don't ya think?" Bill asked the father with a slight smile.

"Yeah. Glad to have met Rex, actually." Onyx said, his brother turning to face him with a shocked expression. "What?" Onyx asked, noticing the look

"Your starting to LIKE Rex?"

"Yeah, so?"

"Nothing."
