Hiding in Plain sight

Geralt sighed in defeat.

"Fine. Where's your armor?" Celestia smiled and her horn glowed. A set of Golden Armor was on Geralt, over his armor, strangely.

"Comfortable?" she asked.

"As long as this gets off when I'm out of here."

"Oh, it will. Just follow the next patrol about right... now!" Geralt turned to see a passing patrol of guards. He got up and followed the patrol. None of the guards seemed to notice, nor care, that Geralt was following them. If there was one thing Geralt didn't want to do, it was being a guard, even if it meant escaping his now sudden fanbase; many of the guards back home were nothing more than slobs that walked around to keep their kings' form of 'order' that couldn't handle anything but the local, defenseless peasant. These guard were different, at least species and ability wise, but working with Celestia, who actually was powerful enough to move the sun, she may be a deity-tyrant one day.

If she can move the sun, how did the world survive before her? He thought to himself And if Luna raises the moon, what else can she do? What can Twilight do? And are there more of them, or are they the last of their kind? He pondered to himself, wondering about the Alicorns; their role in this world and how they're affecting it made Geralt wonder hard.

He walked outside to the streets, passing by the various citizens, all gathered around to see Geralt, all yelling & holding bags of gold for his services. As soon as he got out of the Castle's courtyard, the armor on him vanished.

"Guess she's a woman of her word." He spoke to himself. "And if I'm going to do this, I need some supplies." He walked around and, soon, found himself at a marketplace. All around him, creatures of sorts were buying and selling whatever they had, but Geralt had his eyes on two things: Armor and weapons. He approached the blacksmith, a stallion earth Pony that looked a bit bulky.

"Hello, sir!" He greeted in a matching voice that sounded strangely innocent "Here to purchase some weapons and armor! The best around here!"

"If I see something, I'll probably buy it." If there was one thing Geralt could tell, it was the stats of various armors and weapons. Though he couldn't explain it, he could tell if a weapon or armor was better or worse than what he was using. He looked at the armor on display, seeing them all from left to right. Some of these are pony based, others not so much. Rule out the others... seven left. Two of them have holes, meaning it's for the pegasi, takes those out; don't want to get stabbed in the holes, nor will I grow wings. Those two won't fit me; one too big and the other's too small. Three left. hat one looks light; I'll be able to move faster, though I'll need to maintain it more. That one looks like mine, just with slightly more defense. Final looks heavy; will be slow now, but I'll have added protection. He looked up to see helmets, some fitting for ponies. Some of the helmets had hole in them. Should I wear a helmet? Protecting my new horn should help. Then he saw the weapons. Swords, axes, and... sticks. Oh god! They're all awful!!! Oh... that sword looks like it could slice an arm off easy... and that one looks enchanted. Axes are slower, but provide more damage... and that looks enchanted as well.

"Sir?" Geralt snapped out of it.

"Sorry. Looking at the stuff."
