New Armor and Questions

Geralt made up his mind.

"Yeah, I know what I want. I'll take the middle armor, please." The stallion followed "That sword, please. And the helmet." All his stuff was on the counter.

"That'll be 500 bits." The blacksmith spoke. Geralt took the coin he had on him and gave it to the blacksmith. He counted all of them, much quickly than what Geralt expected, but nodded. The Witcher began to take his armor off. "Uh, what are you doing, sir?"

"Switching Armor."

"... In public?"

"Yeah. I do it all the time back home."

"Uh... yeah. Look, I don't know about you, but it's true that around here, ponies walk naked, but if you want to change, do it in a private place."

"...Fine. But I'm find putting on the helmet and sword?"

"That, you are, sir."

"Good." He put the helmet on finding it somewhat weird. In his life, he never once considered putting on a helmet, with the exception being masks at balls, but with his horn sticking out, moving more like cartilage than bone, it needed to be protected. The tip of his horn fitted through the hole perfectly, and, as a weird extra, his mane stuck out a bit. He quickly changed his steel sword around as usual. "Do you buy weapons and armor?" The blacksmith gave him a weird look.

"What does this look like? A pawn shop? I don't how it works where you come from, but If I started spending money on used swords and armor, then I'd be out of business in a jiffy!" Geralt wanted to reply, but, he did have a point.

Is it because I'm a witcher that they buy from me? Or is it something else? He thought to himself.

"Geralt!? Is that you!?" Geralt turned to see the white unicorn from Twilight's group, wearing what looked liked a large brim hat and had a saddle with bags. "Oh, Geralt! I had no idea you were the type of pony that shops. Is that... a helmet you're wearing? It's certainly... revolting."

"...You've seen what I've done, and I need some protection."

"Uh... I guess you have a point there. Care to join me? I'm certain Twilight would love to see how well you're doing."

"I was actually planning on seeing her, actually."

"Splendid! But I do wonder, where's your friend?"

"She's not my friend and I don't care where she's at."

In the Canterlot Guard's break room, three guards sat around a table playing with some cards. Roach approached to them.

"Hey boys." She spoke seductively. "Whatcha' playin'?"

"... Poker." One of them responded, not looking away from his cards.

"Ooh! Whatcha playin' for?"

"...Fun." Another responded.

"You sure? I think the winner should win... me!"

"...Uh huh." the last spoke

"YES!!! So you want foals with me!?" The guards lowered their cards and turned to Roach, who turned around and lifted her tail up. "Go on! My body is ready." One of the guards covered their eyes, the other covered their ears, and the other covered his perked up cheeks.

Both Geralt and Rarity stood at a station, waiting for something to come.

"Why were you at Canterlot, Rarity?" Geralt asked "It seems most of your friends had left."

"Oh, they did," Rarity replied "but, truth be told, I don't think any of us knew you'd be up again from a short time."

"So you were going to visit me?"

"Every week or so."

"As a group. But what were you doing?"

"Me? Well, my friend, I had my sights on a building to open my second boutique!"

"...You have a boutique?"

"I do indeed. Carousel Boutique! Of course, it's also my home, where my sister and I live."

"Sister?"

"You... didn't see her, but she saw you in that... stampede of other ponies, and thought it was a joke before you had a vase dropped on your head."

"... Of course."

"So! While we're waiting, do you have any family? Friends?"

"...I'd rather not tell."

"Oh... rough past?"

"You can say that."

"Well, what happened in the Canterlot castle? Did you meet Celestia!?"

"My employer? Yes."

"Employer!? What does she want you to do!? Perhaps my friends and I can-"

"I don't need your help. I have to find some information about your... 'princess', and I have to find my friends."

"Oh! That sounds like something Pinkie can help you with! She knows-"

"NO!!! Not her." He shivered as he remembered her laughing with snorting. A loud horn was heard in the distance, followed by a large machine stopping, letting out the loudest screeching Geralt heard, covering his ears in pain. The machine stopped with loud hissing and, just like with Pinkie, Gearlt hid in fear, unsure on what it was. A stallion came out, wearing a stopwatch a vest, and a matching hat with a large mustache.

"ALL ABOARD!!! NEXT STOP: PONYVILLE!!!" Rarity walked ahead, but turned to see the frightened Geralt.

"Geralt?" she asked "What's wrong?" Geralt popped his head out.

"What the hell is that!?" He asked "And why is it on those tracks!?" Rarity turned to the machine, then back to Geralt, letting out an annoyed sigh.

"That's a train. Haven't you seen a train before?"

"NO!!!"

"Oh... well, don't worry, it's alright. Nothing bad's going to happen to you."

"No!"

"Come on. You want answers? Get on with me."

"NO!" She growled.

"GET ON THE TRAIN!!!"

"AND I SAID NO!!!" Rarity's horn glowed with a blue aura and lifted Geralt's tail. The witcher was dragged from his hiding spot.

"You have the courage to fight a dragon, yet you're afraid of a train? There's something wrong with you." Geralt swung his hooves.

"HELP!!! I'm being kidnapped!!!"

"Oh hush! You're making a fool out of yourself."

"HELP!!!"

After an embarrassing ride where Geralt screamed the whole way, making even the youngest foals stare at him and asking their parents what's wrong with him, they arrived in Ponyville. Geralt ran through the door and kissed the floor.

"Thank the gods!" He shouted, though he never really believed in them back home. Rarity lifted Geralt in her magic and murmured.

"That was the most embarrassing ride I've ever went through! For someone who's mature enough to battle a dragon with no fear, you acted like... like a child!"

"It's my first time being in... that thing! You expect me to take this so easy!?"

"...You have so much to learn about proper pony ways."

"Fine, I guess I'll take a shit in the middle of the street."

"I have no idea what that means, but don't do it! Use that outhouse over there to change into your... other clothes." She dropped him and walked away, lifting her head high. Geralt went into what was a small house that had a smell that would make any dwarf gag. Inside, he quickly switched his armor, then came out, only to see Twilight with Applebloom and what was probably Sweetie Belle, the unicorn, and a pegasus that looked like it could be Rainbow Dash's sister. He walked to Twilight, who turned to him.

"Geralt!?" she asked in shock. "What the-!? How are you here!? Why are you up so fast!? And why do you smell so bad!?"

"Outhouse." Geralt quickly answered, pointing at the outhouse. "And all the rest is part of my Witcher abilities. Anyways, Twilight, I'm here to-"

"Hey Gary!" Applebloom interrupted "Off that cider now?" Geralt turned to her.

"...What?"

"Mah friends and I saw you being chased by that stampede of other ponies."

"You acted like you drank a whole barrel of cider." The small pegasus added "Don't ask me how."

"Berry Punch." Sweetie Belle whispered, pointing. Geralt turned to where Sweetie was pointing, seeing a purple mare with a darker mane & tail, stumbling around drunkenly with what looked a bottle in her left foreleg, rambling before falling. Geralt blinked.

"Right." he spoke, turning to Twilight. "Twilight, I have some questions for you."

"Ask away." Twilight replied eagerly.

"If Celestia controls the sun, and Luna controls the moon, how did this world survive?"

"...What do you mean?"

"The world had to be created somehow, and I know the princesses did just arrive out of nowhere, so, how did this world came to be?" Twilight stared for a few moments, then turned to the fillies.

"Go home, kids. Twilight Time is over." They groaned and walked away. She turned to Geralt. "Come with me to the castle. We can discuss there."

It took a while, but Twilight did her best to explain everything. While it is true that Celestia and Luna weren't the first Alicorns, but it was really their parents; Queen Faust and King McCracken. Both were the first of their kind, and both created the land they lived on; McCracken created the sky, and with it, the Pegasi, while Faust created the water, and with it, the unicorns. The earth Ponies came from the land, and from many events, so did many of Equestria's other creatures. But the world was in eternal darkness; no one could see each other. With their power, both created the sun, bringing light to land, and, as an added result, Celestia emerged from the sun. The filly's power was unimaginable, as she controlled the sun with her magic easily, but was reckless. She was hidden away, leaving her parents to physically roll the sun, but it left darkness across the land that wasn't lit, and the sun, though brought light, was too hot. They took a small chunk of the sun off, making it cooler, and the moon was made, along with Luna herself. Like her sister, Luna was powerful to move the sun, but was also reckless, so she too had to be with her sister to train in their use of magic from the Unicorns. During this time, however, the three main tribes were divided from each other, working together to survive, but never appreciating each other. That is, until the Wendigos came, bringing an endless winter that was only defeated if the three tribes worked together to survive.

"And that is why we celebrate Hearths Warming Eve!" Twilight finished. "Got it all, Geralt?" He was gone. "Geralt?"

"HELP!!!" The voice of a regonizable character shouted. Twilight turned to see Geralt chasing after Spike, the purple with green spined baby dragon that was both her adopted brother and assistant.

"You'll pay for biting me!!!" Geralt yelled

"I said I was sorry!!! I didn't know you were Geralt!"

"You do now!!!"

"Geralt! Stop!" Twilight yelled. The Witcher stopped and turned to her. "Did you get any of that?"

"Something about two giant Alicorns making your leaders and a holiday; got it." Geralt answered bluntly.

"... Good enough." Her horn glowed and she lifted the map Geralt received from Celestia. "And what is this for?"

"Finding my friends."

"You have friends!? You know what they look like?"

"No, but I'll tell."

"How... can you tell if they are your friends?"

"Just like me, they've changed. I'll know them soon enough. Thanks for the info, Twilight. It sounds fake, but in a world like this, I shouldn't be surprised."

"...Your welcome? But, before you go, Geralt, let my friends and I help you."

"You don't even know who-"

"We will when we use your name. Plus, we know more about our place than you do, so you should receive some help, especially with a friend like you."

Take Twilight and her friends?

It's going to be dangerous. Stay here.

You have a point. (Take 1-6 members. Who will join Geralt?)

Fine, but I'm going on my own.

Where to start?

The outskirts

Froggy Bottom Bog.
