As the group reached the school they went their separate ways, going to different areas of the school to see what was set up, as the school has essentially been turned into a mini Halloween festival in the one building. Shard, Ditzy and Carrot stayed together, although Shard trailed behind the girls as he was trying too think of what was making his girlfriend so uneasy. His thoughts were lost however as he noticed something around the corner of the school building. "Hey, you two go on ahead into the gym, I just gotta check something." He said as he walked away.

Ditzy and Carrot shrugged as they walked into the building, chatting away about random things. As Shard turned the corner, he found what seeked to be a large robot sitting down with its back to the school. It had one red eye on its head and had no legs, much like Rayleigh, but had two large arms and a large torso.

"Damnit, did one of CyCorps prototypes get out again?" As he looked closer, he found multiple bones age skulks were painted onto it, along with a few hearts, and the metal plating appeared to be heavily scratched, most of it most likely made of scrap metal. "Definitely not from CyCorp..." He stood there as he tried to figure out who it could belong too. As it looked at him, he noticed its eye flickering slightly and some rumbling was coming from its torso. "You running ok there big guy?"

The robot shook its head.

"Well, lucky for you I know a thing or two about robots, admittedly on a smaller scale but I can manage." Shard placed a bag he was carrying down and pulled put a few tools. "Alright, you got a hatch I can open?"

The robot nodded and pointed to a small but noticeable handle on its stomach area.

Shard smiled and opened the hatch. "Alright, let's see what I can do."

"You sure you're ok Ditzy?" Carrot asked as the two sat at the side of the gym after about fifteen minutes of dancing to Vinyl and Treble's music.

"I'm fine, just a bit on edge..."

"Why? Having bad dreams or something? I noticed you were kind of nervous while hugging him earlier." Carrot smirked and leaned close. "You planning on jumping him tonight?" She asked teasingly.

"No! Stop bringing dirty stuff like that up!" Ditzy complained as she punched Carrot in the shoulder. "But it does have something to do with Shard though..."

"How so?"

Ditzy sighed and looked around before speaking in a low tone. "I've been having these...nightmares about him."

"Geez, whoever built you may have done a good enough job, but these materials and wires were not made to last..." Shard muttered to the robot as he began re-attaching broken wires and tightening loose bolts and nails, also dinging out a few dents.

"Hey!"

Shard stopped and pulled out of the robot (Don't you dare...) and looked over to see a girl standing their glaring at him, she had ginger hair and wore a dark grey hoodie, with a shirt red skirt and stripped grey and dark grey tights, her hair tied in two pigtails at the side of her head. "Yeah?"

"What do you think you're doing to my robot friend?" She asked in annoyance.

"Well for one I'm fixing him and two, I was trying to find a better way to build him, considering what you've managed to do with such fragile materials." He answered as he went back to work.

"I built him just fine." Gaige retorted with a hint of anger.

"This guys interior says otherwise, seriously, it's like everything has be repeatedly squashed together in here."

Gaige rolled her eyes. "He shrinks down into a cube."

"Well that explains why some of the wires are completely crushed, what kind of technology did you use here?" Shard asked as he finished shed the repairs, closed the hatch and jumped down in front of Gaige.

"I just built him, I researched robotics for years, I didn't use a specific kind of technology to build him."

Shard scratched his chin while looking the robot over. "Would you like some suggestions?"

Gaige was about to protest, but she realised that the guy in front of her obviously knew about robotics, something she was very interested in, plus, she could use more friends anyway. "Eh, why not?"

Carrot simply stared in shock as Ditzy finished her explanation of the various nightmares that involved her boyfriend. "Wow...I mean...how do you even respond to that?"

"I don't know." Ditzy looked at her cup and sighed. "I don't know what I'm going to do Carrot, I don't even know what to say..."

"Tell him." Carrot stated simply, placing a finger on Ditzy's lips before she could start to go over ridiculous and made up reasons why she couldn't do that. "Trust me, he'll understand, it's not gonna get better if you don't bring it up with him." Ditzy looked her friend in the eyes and nodded, earning a smile from the carrot farmer. "Atta girl, but just wait until after the party, just enjoy yourself and dance with your man. Speaking of whom..." The two looked around in confusion. "...where is he?"

Suddenly, the robot broke through one of the gymnasium walls with an intoxicated Gaige giggling on his shoulder while a drunk Shard fell off the other. "Happy birthday everyone..." He groaned before a piece of rubble hit his head.

"Ok, who spiked Deathtraps soda dispenser?!" Treble called out as he shut off the music. "Was it you Flash?! I swear to God if you've got my little sister drunk-"

"Wasn't me dude." Flash Sentry put up his hands defensively. "If I did, I'd be drunk too."

Meanwhile, Pinkie stood outside giggling as she tucked an empty wine bottle into a bush.

"Well, at least he wasn't getting drunk on purpose..." Ditzy muttered as she walked over to her love and knelt down beside him. "You ok there Shard?"

"I feel heavy and light at the same time...what was in that soda?" He asked groggily.

"I have no idea but I loved it!" Gaige exclaimed as she laughed hysterically, her laughter split up by her drunken hiccups.

Carrot just nodded her head in slight amusement. "Yeah, it's gonna be an interesting night."
