“I didn’t think we’d be running the whole way to this house of evolution.” said Amethyst as she and Derpy ran through the thick forest.

“Well I wanted to fly there but you told me not to.” said Derpy, running along side her niece.

“Auntie, you and I both know that you can’t fly that well. Especially when it come to being around builds or trees this close.”

“Still I could do it if you just let me.”

“Only when you’re good at flying is when I’ll allow you to do that.”

“This is just like the time you wouldn’t let me work the oven.” Derpy said as the duo started to jump from rock to rock as they launched themselves over the hill.

“Which is why you’re not allowed to touch until you’re good at cooking.” The Cyborg pony said as they landed in front of a tall building in the middle of the forest.

“We’re here. This is the place Gorilla told us of.”

“So this is the house of evolution?” Derpy asked as she counted the floors of the building. “One, two, three, four, five, six...Looks like it’s about eight stories high-.” Before Derpy could finish, Amethyst charged up her incinerators to full power and blasted the building until there was nothing left standing. “Um...What was that all of a sudden Amethyst?”

“It would be most efficient to destroy the building in one swoop then to have to enter into a building full of traps.”

“T-True, but isn’t this going a bit overkill?”

“Better safe than sorry.” Amethyst said as she notice a metal door on the floor. “Looks like we found a way inside.”

“S-Stop!!!!” yelled the clone of Dr. Genus as he fired a hail of bullets at the figure in the shadows. The bullets had no effect on the figure as it simple punched the clone without mercy, turning him into a lump of flesh.

“Heh, weak.”

“Hey, Carnage Kabuto.” said Dr. Genus as he entered the room. “Are you doing well? It appears you’ve killed a bunch of my clones again. Satisfied?”

“Huh? Fool! Why would I be satisfied?” Kabuto asked as he turned around to face the scientist. “I’ve been kept locked up deep beneath the earth.” He answered as he broke the metal collar around his neck. “Me! The strongest warrior in the entire house of evolution.”

“You are mentally unstable. We couldn’t control you. There was no other choice.”

“Control!? You moron! I am the culmination of the new species you guys have sought for so long. My intelligence and physical strength and your own are incomparable!” Kabuto said as he got up close the the scientist’s face. “You should be the ones obeying me.”

“No. You’re a failure. It’s true you perform at unheard of levels, but it is humanity that you lack.” Dr.Genus thought as he cleared his throat. “Go ahead, kill me. Plenty of clones could take my place.”

“Oh?”

“But I have a favor to ask first. There’s a specimen I must have.” He said as he pulled up a digital screen with Derpy and Amethyst’s face on it. “She’s extremely strong. Only you can defeat this pony. I want you to catch this creature for me…..dead or alive.”

“This basement is huge! I bet if you yell loud enough, you could hear your voice echo.” Derpy said as she was about to yell, only for Amethyst to cover her mouth.

“Please don’t do that Auntie. We don’t want to get notice by the enemy.”

“I’m pretty sure they know we’re here when you blew the building above us into ashes.”

“........Whatever let’s just get this over with.” Amethyst said as she continued to walk, only to stop.

“What’s wrong?”

“I’m sensing something down here. Two of them are approaching us.” She said as the duo looked down the hallway to see the lights going off.

“Oh, here we go!” yelled Kabuto as he dragged Dr. Genus along with him down the hallway. “There are two. Which one is it?”

“The one on the right.”

“In that case, you don’t need the one on the left!” As the humanoid beetle came close to the two mares, Kabuto raised his fist and slammed Amethyst into the wall beside her.

“Amethyst!”

“I am Carnage Kabuto! We got a combat experimentation room. Let’s do this in there.”

“You’re gonna pay for turning my niece into a piece of modern art.” Derpy said as she cracked her neck. “Fight’s on!”

(Combat experimentation room)

“Pretty big, huh?” Kabuto asked as he and Derpy walked into the room. “It’s the biggest room in the facility. This is where they make us fight to test our combat abilities. Well then, let’s start the killing-.” Before the humanoid beetle could finish, a burst of fire engulf him for a moment before disappearing. “Oh? Still alive, huh?” He asked as he looked over to his right to see Amethyst staggering inside the room.

“You are so dead when I’m finish with you you little bastard!” Amethyst said as she rushed into the room and punched Carnage Kabuto in the face, only for it to do nothing as she circled around him and fired beams of fire at him. Hoping that it could damage him, the cyborg pony leap up into the hair and descented towards him.

“You fool!” Kabuto said as she flames around him died out.

“Machinegun Blow: Mach 2!” yelled Amethyst as she unleashed a barrage of hoof punches at blinding speed. This went on for a few second before Kabuto punched Amethyst in the face, and sending her flying towards Derpy, who caught her upon impact. “B-Bastard got me with a sucker punch. L-Let me t-take him.”

“Amethyst, your face is all cracked up. Don’t push yourself like this.” Derpy said only for Amethyst to ignore her and fired a beam of fire at Carnage Kabuto. As the beam of fire was heading towards him, Kabuto took in a deep breath and exhale a gust of air sending the fire back at the duo engulfing them both. As the flames died out, Derpy’s eyes widen at the way Amethyst looked like now.

“Amethyst, are you okay?”

“Y-Yeah, why wouldn’t I be?”

“Y-Your mane! It looks like you just stuck a fork in the electric socket!” She said as she heard Kabuto laughing while sticking his tongue at them.”You’re gonna pay for doing this to my niece. Do you have any idea how long it takes to get a mare’s mane to look this good before hoof?”

“What’s the hold up? Let’s go!” Kabuto said as he motion Derpy to come closer. “Bring everything you’ve got.”

“Wait here my little muffin.” Derpy said as she placed Amethyst down. “This won’t take long.”

“Oh, I see it. I see it! You’re supposed to be strong.”

“I’ll give this one chance to apologize for what you did to my niece. If you do that, then I ‘ll let you off with a warning.”

“Me apologize? Don’t make me laugh!” In a blind of an eye, Kabuto vanish from sight as he appeared running up against the side of the wall and appear behind Derpy. “Die!”

“Derpy lookout!” Amethyst said only to notice Kabuto facial expression change from bloodlust to fear and horror. Like a bug flying back at normal speed, Kabuto flew back as he pressed himself against the wall behind him in fear.

“What are you doing back there?” Derpy asked as she smelled herself. “Do I smell bad or something?”

“He just backed off?” said Dr. Genus as he limped his way into the combat room. “Carnage Kabuto?!”

“If I’d attacked her just now, she’d have killed me.” Kabuto thought as he felt his heart pounding like a drum. “Who the hell is this pony? She’s leaving herself wide open, yet all my instincts are screaming, sending out danger signals!”

“Um….are you okay?”

“You bastard!!! How! How the hell did you get that strong?!”

“....So….you really wanna know, huh?” Derpy said as it caught him off guard. “Okay, fine. Listen well and listen good. Because I’m only going to say this once, and I don’t like to repeat myself a second time.” She said in a serious tone of voice.

“Dear Celestia is she really doing what I think she’s about to do?” Amethyst thought as she notice Derpy giving her a wink. “Hehe, you sly little bastard. And here I thought you’re not the trolling type of pony.”

“I’d like to know too.” said Dr.Genus as he appeared a few inches next to Derpy.

“Huh? Who are you?”

“I am Genus.”

“Okay...well fine. Listen up. First, what’s important is, to make sure you stick to this intense training regimen.”

“Training? Not modification surgery or genetic enhancement, but training?”

“What training?”

“Listen everyone. You just have to keep doing it. No matter how hard it gets. It took me three years to get this strong.” Derpy said as a serious look appeared on her face.

“One hundred push-ups! One hundred sit-ups! One hundred squats! “Then a ten kilometer run. Every single day!” She yelled which caused everyone besides Amethyst (Who was laughing internally) to be shock. “And of course, make sure you eat three meals a day. Just a muffin in the morning is fine. But the most important thing is to never use the A/C or heat in the summer or winter so that you can strengthen the mind. In the beginning, you’ll wish that you want to quit this training. You might start thinking what’s the harm of taking a day off?”

“But for me, in order to be a strong hero, no matter how tough it was, even if I was spitting blood, I never stopped. I kept doing squats even when my legs were so heavy they refuse to move. Even when my hooves started making weird clicking noises, I kept doing push-ups. A year and a half later, I started to notice a difference. I didn’t need my wings to help me fly into the air. And I had become stronger! In other words, you gotta train like hell to the point where you’re a the breaking point of death. That’s the only way to become strong.Ponies that are fooling around with evolution or drug junkies will never make it this far.Any being can become strong because they have the ability to change ourselves.”

“W-What?”

“Is this pony...for real?”

“And that’s how I became the strongest mare in Maretropolis. Just with hard work and training is all you need to be as strong as me.” Derpy said as the room was silent for a moment. That is until Dr. Genus said something.

“What a load of crap!”

“Huh?”

“That’s nothing but standard strength training! And it’s not even that intense! It’s just a normal level of training! I asked how you got strong, not something a little kid could do!”

“Whether you believe me or not, it’s up to you. But that’s pretty much how I did it.”

“Oh yeah?” Kabuto said as they notice his body starting to change. “If you don’t wanna tell us your secret, so be it.”

“Kabuto, stop! You’ll go on another rampage!”

“I bet you aren’t stronger than me anyway! But, since you pissed me off, I’m gonna annihilate you and everyone in this room.” With the room sealed up with the color changing from white to red. Carnage Kabuto transformation was complete as Amethyst’s eyes widen in shock at what she saw.

“CARNAGE MADE!”

“Dear Celestia! He’s bucking huge!”

“I think I might need a bigger roll of newspaper if I’m going to take care of this bug.” Derpy said only for Amethyst to smack her upside her head.

“This is serious Auntie!”

“When I get like this I lose control for a whole week, and my lust for death cannot be quelled! After I kill you, I’ll head into town and go on a killing rampage until next Saturday!” He said causing Derpy to be surprise. “If you are indeed a strong hero, then try and stop me!” With a mighty roar and in a blind of an eye, Carnage Kabuto appeared in front of Derpy as he sends her flying with his fist into the wall behind her.

“Is this really happening?”Derpy thought as she bounced off the wall and was in the air like a limp rag doll. Only for Carnage Kabuto to appear in the air and punch the mare again. This caused her to bounce off the walls like a super ball with the humanoid beetle following. “I think I made a horrible mistake. This thing’s in Carnage mode. It said that it’ll be on a rampage for a whole week?”

“Auntie?” Amethyst said as she watch Derpy being slammed onto the ground. As the mare bounced off the floor, Carnage Kabuto appeared as he begun to send a barrage of fists into the mare.

“Death, death, death, death, death, death,. Death, death, death, death, death!!”

“It’ll be like this till next Saturday?” After finishing the barrage of punches, Carnage Kabuto used his horn to send Derpy flying into the air. “One whole week from today. Next Saturday. In other words, today is Saturday too. This means..”

“Hehe, it’s all over for that pony.” Dr.Genus said as he watch the mare getting pummeled. “There’s no one in this world that can stop him.”

“That means, today is.” Just as Carnage Kabuto was about to deal another blow to Derpy. The mare raised her hoof as she punched the humanoid beetle, causing him to shatter into a million pieces. “Bargain day muffin sale at the supermarket!!”

“I-IMPOSSIBLE!!!” Dr. Genus said as he watch in awe and shock.at what Derpy just did.

“AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! I SCREWED UP!!!!!” Derpy yelled.

“What is she-?” (Music ends)

“I’m pretty sure my aunt’s upset because of this.” Amethyst said as she showed the human a sheet of paper saying “Free muffin sale in New Yoke City”. “Auntie, the place closes at 10pm. It’s about four hours away if we fly there.”

“Y-You mean?”

“If we hurry we might make it there on time to get your free muffins.”

“Quick, Amethyst. We gotta hurry to New Yoke before night time.” Derpy said as she runs towards the nearest wall and punched a huge hole in it. “Don’t worry my babies! Momma Derpy is coming!” She said as she flew off with Amethyst on her back.

“.....I think I’m done with the whole evolution thing….I think I’ll open a small little store and retire for now on.” Dr. Genus said as she sniffed. “It would appear that I am the one that must change.”
