The Ponyville Warehouse

Friday, 7:32 p.m.

It was a cold night at the Ponyville Warehouse. Not a sound was heard, nor did anything move. There was an earth pony guard at the gate who was keeping watch for anyone coming through the entrance at night in the police box. Several classified objects such as artefacts, weapons, vehicles et cetera were stored in the warehouse, hidden away from public notice. However the warehouse was under supervision by Synergy Incorporated, Equestria's crime agency. Synergy Incorporated was established more than a century ago and over the years, they have accomplished several good deeds for the government of Equestria. If it weren't for them, the nation would have been completely corrupted by evil. Synergy Incorporated works alongside the Mane 6, a group of ponies who represent each element of harmony, which is used to defeat anyone who would dare dominate over the country.

The warehouse had various contents, which most of them were hazardous. Some of the items in storage were strictly prohibited weapons that could cause mass destruction, while others were unknown objects from somewhere else in the universe. No matter how significant the items were,  all of them had to be watched over. There were a few attempts by thieves to raid the warehouse in the past, but so far, no one had prevailed.

Just up the highway, which led to the entrance of the warehouse, a large, black Land Rover was driving at its maximum speed, which was against Equestria's road rules. Inside the Land Rover, a light blue unicorn a white and dark blue mane wearing a black hoodie was driving on the left side while smoking a cigarette. His cutie mark was a white ring centred with a dark blue gradient circle. The earth pony next to him was mustard yellow with a green money sign for his cutie mark.  He also wore a black jumper with his hood up. This was the same with the other two pegasi in the back seats in order to hide their identities. They were twins named Zip and Zap. Zip was green with a yellow wavy mane and a yellow lighting bolt for his cutie mark. Zap was orange with a blue mane similar to Zip's, and a blue lightning bolt for his cutie mark. Other than that, death metal music was playing on the radio and that let them perfectly capture the moment - a moment of revenge and greed.

'This is it boys. Our big night.' said the driver. 'This is the part where our greatest wishes finally come true. After all those cruel and selfish things the world has said and done to us in the past, we will finally show them how we felt.'

'We better keep our hopes high that we won't fail to retrieve that artefact. It is known to give ponies, especially unicorns prodigious powers of some sort, you know? I mean, the ability to incinerate things with your mind or lift something over a hundred times your own weight! Can't you believe that?' exclaimed the yellow unicorn.

'I know that feeling of anticipation, Cash Grab.' said the blue earth pony.

'So, we're going by our plan. Pretty difficult, don't you think Neos?' Cash Grab answered back.

'It may be difficult, yet it will work out just perfectly and may even outsmart this guards.' replied Neos with a devious smirk on his face. 'Trust me, it'll be a piece of cake.'

'If you say so.'

Neos then removed his cigarette from his mouth and pressed the button on his car door to open the windows, then tossed it out into the road.

The Land Rover finally drove into the road that led to the gate surrounding the warehouse. Everypony in the car noticed the guard waiting in the police box that controlled the gate. Neos abruptly stopped the car.

'Damn it!' grumbled Cash Grab. 'Guards. This is officially a dead end. I didn't expect them to around at this time1'

'Remember how I warned you that the Ponyville Warehouse has more security than any other warehouse in Equestria? I mean, for Celestia's sake, its contents are top secret! We'll just have to improvise.' said Neos. He then reversed the car to get enough space to build up speed and smash through the gate.

The guard poked his head out of the window of the police box, detecting the Land Rover's headlights quickly fading into the distant darkness. He felt suspicious and squinted his eyes at the car in a bothered manner.

Neos stopped the car once again and paused for a moment to regain his focus. He looked at the gate up ahead with narrow eyes. After that, he revved the car's engine.

'What do you think you're doing?' said Cash Grab worryingly.

Neos said nothing and accelerated the car at full speed. Everyone inside was thrown towards the back of the car. As the Land Rover sped faster and faster, the guard noticed it was approaching towards him. His eyes widened. He gasped and yanked his head back into the police box.    At last, the Land Rover crashed through the steel gate with a loud "BANG!". It then drove off into the car park, leaving a scratched and dented gate lying on the ground behind them.

'Oh no! Crap, this can't be happening! Synergy's gotta know about this!' The guard rushed to his radio and spoke into it. 'Synergy! Come in Synergy! This is officer Strobe Flash! The Ponyville Warehouse has been broken into. I repeat: The Ponyville Warehouse has been broken into!'

Neos parked the car and turned it off. The four ponies nimbly emerged from inside the car, holding Glock 19s. The trigger and the trigger guard was a much larger size for a pony's hoof to fit in. Neos simply used his magic to levitate his gun rather than hold it with his hoof.

'Is everypony ready?' Neos asked.

'Ready!' everypony else replied simultaneously.

'Let's show Equestria what we're really made of.'

Neos had a spell which worked like an EMP that would shut down anything powered by electricity, so he decided to use it to power down all the security cameras and the lights. The cameras were everywhere. He started to emit a white glow from his horn, followed by blue rings coming from the base of his horn, which curved around it. Seconds later, he grunted and released light blue ring from his horn which rapidly expanded and anything electric that it hit sparked and shut down. Cameras and lamp posts all around shut off instantly. Now, everything went pitch black, so the gang got out night vision goggles from the trunk of the car and put them on.

Cash Grab also got out his RPG and loaded it. 'Here comes the big guns and I mean literally, big guns!' joked Cash Grab. He then came out to the warehouse's double door with the words "Ponyville Warehouse Est. 1903" painted on it with stencils. Cash Grab aimed his RPG at the door ready to fire. 'Take cover everypony!' He pulled the trigger, sending the missile rocketing towards the large steel door. BOOM! A large explosion of bright orange fire illuminated the dark area and blew up the warehouse door. The gang stood back waiting for the explosion to clear. The night was no longer cold and silent. The explosion had increased the temperature rapidly.

As soon as the explosion cleared, the door revealed itself with a large hole in it. The inside of the hole's edges were still burning and had black soot all around it's perimeter. They have already broken into one of the most secure places in all of Equestria. The four of them all walked in slowly. Neos led them.

'Don't you ever feel the way I feel most of the time?' Neos said, while walking along the aisle. 'The feeling of alienation and exclusion? If you do, you're going through the same life as I am. But now you can stop your worrying, because tonight, it will all come to one big bucking halt.'

In the same highway that Neos and his gang drove along, two sports cars travelled at their top speed as well. One of the cars was a 2013 BMW M6 Coupe. The paint was a light blue colour at the front and faded to a hot pink colour towards that back. A burning ball of fire was painted on the hood. Under the car it had orange neon lights which the road reflected. The other car was a bright white 2009 Nissan GT-R. It was simply plain white, but it had bright blue neon lights under it. The Nissan's coolest feature was that its wheels shone lights which made it look like a speedometer. They both quickly dodged every car they passed towards the warehouse robbery.

Meanwhile, at the Ponyville Warehouse, Zip and Zap flew from aisle to aisle looking for what was called the Ascendancy Amulet. It was similar to the Alicorn Amulet, but it could grant anypony more power and could work on any pony race, not just unicorns. 'That Ascendancy Amulet must be here somewhere.' muttered Zip to himself as he flew along the shelves searching for the crate which contained the Pendant. Zap, Zip's younger twin brother also searched hard for the pendant going from aisle to aisle. 'Nope. Nowhere!' Zip complained.

'Keep looking! I am sure it is round here somewhere in this damn warehouse! snapped Neos. 'Wait!'

Everypony stopped looking through the shelves and turned to Neos.

Neos inhaled deeply and then exhaled. 'The amulet sends out an aura of some sort that only unicorns can detect.' he announced. 'To the front left shelf!'

'You mean the shelf at that very corner?' asked Zip.

'Yes, that one'

The gang rushed to the front left shelf. There were shelves filled with crates everywhere. Different sizes and different shapes and different colours. As they ran and flew along each aisle, a loud voice stopped them.

'Going somewhere suckers?' somepony said. A silhouette of a unicorn appeared at the burned hole in the door. A car's headlights shone behind it. Then another silhouette which took the form of an earth pony stepped out from behind. The two figures walked closer towards the Neos' gang. They quickly got out thier Glock 19s and aimed it at the two ponies. As a comeback, the unicorn drew out a Designated Marksman Rifle, while the earth pony drew out a Spas-12 shotgun. The two figures stepped into the warehouse, revealing themselves and holding their guns.

The stallion unicorn was a steel grey colour and had a short black mane and tail tipped with light blue. His eyes were a dark teal colour and had an eighth note cutie mark. He, too wore a hoodie, but with the hood down. The earth pony next to him was a female. She had blazing hazel eyes and her pelt was a hot pink colour with a blue stylish mane and curly tail. Her cutie mark was a chilli pepper with a burning flame in the background. And, you guessed it. She also wore a grey jumper.

'We don't want any trouble, because that's what we're trying to prevent. Now, tell me: what are you trying to thieve from us? Hmm?' said the unicorn, pointing the rifle at Neos. 'Wait, where are my manners? My name is Eight Note.' he continued.

'Oh, and me? I'm Spicy Hot!" she said. 'We gotta know. What are you looking for?' They both aimed their guns at the gang.

'You broke into the most secure warehouse in the WORLD, I'm telling you! I mean, how- Look, you'd better give us a good explanation on what you're trying to do here, really.' Eight Note continued. 'We demand to know. We're from Synergy Incorporated - the corporation that is currently supervising this warehouse.

All four of the ponies gasped in shock. 'You won't be getting a word from us. Zip! Zap! Get 'em!' Neos commanded.

Zip flew quickly towards Eight; Zap flew towards Spicy. As soon as Zip was a metre from Eight, he turned away ready to buck Zip. With loud 'BASH!', Eight's rear legs both struck Zip's face, launching him back and onto the ground. Spicy did different. As Zap approached her, she performed an uppercut onto his face, causing Zap to fly upwards, and then crashing to the floor.

Both Zip and Zap sprung up onto their hooves again and placed themselves in a fighting position. Zip ran towards Eight and was about to pack a huge punch on him. But Eight simply blocked Zip's hoof with his own hoof. Eight then twisted Zip's wrist clockwise so far that it cracked. 'Arghh!' Zip yelled in pain and fell onto his knees. After that, Eight delivered a punch to Zip's face once again, making him fall to the ground.

With Spicy and Zap, they both dodged each other's kicks and punches. Spicy then used her rear right leg to deliver three kicks. One kick to Zap's stomach, chest and face. Zap also fell onto the floor after that.

Eight then realised Neos telling Cash Grab which crate to grab. Cash was up on a ladder looking for that one small crate that contained the amulet. At last he found it. The wooden box was three inches tall, three inches wide , five inches long. It had "Item #0034852" painted on it with stencils. Cash quickly took hold of it and began to climb down.

'Hey! You!' Eight Note yelled at Neos. He dashed towards Neos and tackled him to the ground. Without looking at Spicy, he called out to her, 'Spicy! Get the other guy!' Eight struggled to keep Neos onto the ground, so he got out an XD-9 pistol from his pocket and put the barrel against his head. That made him stay put. 'Now, tell me what you're trying to retrieve.' Eight said, panting in between each word.

Cash Grab reached to the bottom of the ladder, when suddenly the sound of a cocking gun occurred. Cash felt something hard touch the back of his head. It was Spicy holding her own XD-9 pistol against him. 'Hand it over, bad boy.' she warned.

'Sometimes, sacrifices must be made in order to get what you want. I want respect. We all want respect. So we had to sacrifice our kindness to others and do things the hard way, like... retrieve the Ascendency Amulet to gain power over our retched society. We are sick of being treated like we're in the lower class. I want everypony to experience inferiority the same way we did.' he said to Eight. Then in a bright white flash, he disappeared into thin air. He had teleported. He reappeared taking hold of Cash Grab, and then disappeared again, taking Cash with him.

'No! Where is he?!' Spicy exclaimed. Her and Eight watched as Neos and Cash ran off with Zip and Zap. Spicy immediately pulled up her sleeve and revealed her HoofTab, a special touch screen device to be worn around the wrist. A flash of light came from a camera located on the front side of the HoofTab, which took a photo of their faces. Spicy and Eight ran after the gang, but it was too late. They had already hopped into the Land Rover, which Neos was able to recharge with power by using his magic. It quickly reversed from its parking spot and drove away, past the gate and into the streets.

'Damn it! We lost them' Eight grumbled.

'No we haven't! I managed to take a snapshot of those thieves.' Spicy replied. She showed Eight the image she had taken with her HoofTab.

Eight Note sighed. 'That should be good enough. From there we can use our computers to detect who they are.'

'So, what was the last thing he said to you? Did he tell you his name?'

'He told me about how society treated him like a loser and how he wants revenge. Not to mention he said they were gonna steal the...' Eight said, looking out to where the gang had escaped. '...the Ascendancy Amulet.'

'Correct me if I'm wrong, but that artefact can give anyone superpowers? Not just unicorns, but other races too?'

'I'm afraid so.'

'Oh, God no.' Spicy replied in shock.

'Don't you worry. We'll find the suspect and arrest him for good. But we're gonna need a bigger team.'

'Who should we get?' Spicy asked.

'If you recall those three ponies that Synergy Inc. fired about a year ago, maybe we could give them another chance, you know?'

Spicy had a concerned look on her face. 'I-I don't know...'

Eight lay his right hoof on her shoulder. 'Look, Spice. Everypony deserves a second chance. Redline, Nighthawk and Beats were wrongly accused! Didn't you realise that? Besides, if we don't find somepony fast, Equestria will be at risk once again. Trust me.'

Spicy let out a sigh. 'I suppose so.'

'Good. We'll search for those three ponies and the thieves starting tomorrow, but right now we have to let the company know that they've gotten away.' Next Chapter: Two Estimated time remaining: 5 Minutes
