Marion Ravenwood and the bar fight.

Thanks to Daring Do/ A.K. Yearling's help in the search of the idol, not only does the museum have a new thing to show the public, but Indy and his daughter were paid really well! With the money, and some tests from the government, A.K. Yearling was sworn in as an American citizen, and, with the help of the cash from her father, was able to make (or in her case, retell) an adventure series involving a certain pegasus finding treasures in many adventures that were life threatening. Unsurprisingly, it was a hit with the public, as legions of fans gathered around Yearling, asking her where these ideas came from. Her reply was simply "She's her best friend". Both father and daughter became successful in their own way, making a lot of money that not even they could keep track of!

Luckily, it ended as Marcus had both Indiana Jones and Daring Do, with financial aid from the government, as reports of Beelow had survived and is working with the Nazis to find the "Ark of the Covenant", the same ark the Hebrews carried with them as they journeyed to the promised land that contained the original ten commandments of the bible. The Nazis had dig sites all over Cairo, looking for the covenant as a weapon to serve Hitler and the Nazis' in ruling the world. The problem is that they don't have the the headpiece for "The Staff of Ra", but thanks to Indy learning from Professor Ravenwood from the University of Chicago, who was dead, his daughter, Marion Ravenwood, may know where the headpiece is. The real thing Daring needed to know is that they needed to get the headpiece &  a correct sized staff, use it on a miniature replica of Tannis to find the well of souls where the Covenant was now in, and take it back to America. Both Indy and Daring took a plane together, as they traveled to Nepal to find Marion, who owned her own bar right above a village below.

After a few hours of traveling, and going through the frozen mountains of Nepal, they both found the bar they needed to go to meet Marion. A bunch of people left the bar, most likely by the fact it was now closed, and they entered. Inside was a woman with a single ponytail, wearing a long sleeve shirt that was, as Daring saw, also the color of her vest. Daring didn't care, however, as she ran to the fireplace and held her hooves over the lit fireplace, embracing the warmth of the flame. How her father wasn't affected by the heat was really curious, but it's probably something that'll never be answered.

"Hello, Marion." Indy introduced himself. She jumped and looked behind her. She had a smug on her face and walked up to him.

"Indiana Jones." She spoke. She turned her head and saw Daring Do, turning around and placing her flank area near the fireplace, letting out a bliss sounding 'Ahh!' She stared at her, and Daring stared right back.

"...Don't judge me." Daring spoke.

"Is that a-"

"Yes," Indiana interrupted "she's a talking pegasus, is able to talk like us, and is my daughter."

"Your daughter?" Marion replied "Never saw you as a family man."

"I never thought of it myself."

"Still, I knew you'd come, walking through my door. I knew that, something that was inevitable. So what are you, and your... daughter... doing here in Nepal?"

"I need one of the pieces your father collected." Marion launched her right arm and punched Indy across the face!

"DAD!!!" Daring yelled in fear. She flapped her wings and flew next to him, lifting his head right up.

"I'm alright." Indy replied, rubbing his chin.

"I've learned to hate you in these last ten years!" Marion yelled

"I never meant to hurt you."

"I was a child! I was in love! It was wrong and you knew it!"

"You knew what you were doing."

"Now I do! This is my place! Now get out!"

"Even me?" Daring asked. Marion turned to Daring. The pegasus made her eyes seem bigger, as she stuck her bottom lip out & over her upper lip, quivering it a bit. Marion sweated a bit and bit her lips.

"Um... well... you can-"

"I did what I did!" Indiana interrupted "You don't need to be happy about it, but maybe we could help each other out now."

"Like a team!" Daring cheered.

"Yeah... like a team." Marion walked over and sat onto a table chair. Indy followed her "I need one of the pieces your father collected. Bronze size, about this size with a hole in if, off-center with a crystal. You know the one I mean?" Marion placed some dirty shots away.

"Yeah." She replied "I know it."

"Where's Abner?"

"...Abner's dead." Both Daring and looked into each other's eyes, then turned to Marion. Daring flapped her wings and hugged her right behind her neck. She gently tapped her shoulder like her father did when she fell down after bumping her head on the wall.

"There There." Daring spoke in a cooing voice. The softness & warmth from Daring's fur & mane made Marion flip her around and hug her. Daring didn't struggle, but hugged right back.

"Marion," Indy said "I'm sorry."

"Did you know what you did to me?" She asked "To my life?"

"I can only say sorry multiple times." Marion wanted to flip a her tray of dirty shots, but due to Daring hugging her, she was calmed down greatly.

"Well... say it again anyway."

"...Sorry."

"Well... everyone's sorry. Abner was sorry for dragging me all over this earth looking for bits of junk. I'm sorry to still be in this dive."

"And I'm sorry for telling you that you smell funny." Daring added. Marion stared at Daring for a few moments. Indy gently grabbed Daring off her neck and placed her next to him as he took a set on one of the stools.

"What I'm saying is that everyone's sorry for something."

"Well... it's a worthless bronze medallion, Marion." Indiana replied, taking Daring's hat off and stroked his daughter's mane & coat. "You going to give it to me?"

"Please?" Daring added, looking to Marion and holding her hat in her hooves. Marion smiled at Daring and rustled her mane.

"You're really cute like that." Marion replied "for you, it's a definite yes."

"So you'll find it for us?" Indy asked

"For her, not for you."

"Yay!" Daring cheered, tossing her hat in the air & causing it to land on her head "We're going to get our important object!" She looked to her father and he looked at her. He  away from her and Marion.

"Lucky." He murmured under his breath. Marion pulled what they needed from her shirt, as she had it on like a necklace. She took her necklace off and placed it around Daring Do's neck. Daring looked at the piece they needed, oohing at it as she saw her won reflection on it.

"It's shiny!" She stated. Marion giggled at what she commented, removed her hat, and kissed Daring on her forehead.

"Never stop being adorable." Marion said. Daring blushed and turned to her father. Indy rolled his eyes and Carried Daring in his arms. He reached into his pocket and gave Marion some cash. "What's this?"

"Three thousand dollars." Jones answered. "think of it as a thank you gift from us." She looked at the cash, then back to Indy and Daring

"Thank you, both of you."

"Your welcome. Let's go, Daring."

"Bye Marion!" Daring waved "Hope you don't punch my dad when we meet again!" Marion waved back as the two exited. She looked at the hat Daring wore and tried it on herself. Too small for her. Shame. It might have looked good on her herself. The door opened again.

Daring and Jones were a few feet away from the bar, when Daring suddenly notcied what was missing.

"MY HAT!!!" She yelled. She jumped out of her fathers arms and ran to the bar.

"Daring!" Jones yelled "Wait!" Daring Do slightly opened the door with her head, but stopped and saw Marion was held by some people that may or may not have exited when they arrives, as well as a man in a leather jacket. Indy stood by her, but also stopped as he saw what Daring Do saw.

"Looks like we're not going to leave without a fight." Jones commented. He entered the room as quietly as he could and took his whip out & pistol. Daring flew behind the var area, flying right above their heads, not being noticed at all. Indy cracked his whip as the man in black leather was close to putting a the tip of a rod of metal into Marion's eye, taking the weapon away! They all turned, seeing Indy prepared with his whip and pistol

"Let her go!" Indy ordered. Both sides stared down art each other. Daring flew right behind the bad guys.

"Yoo hoo! Daring distracted. The man that didn't turn was shot by Indy. The whole place erupted into chaos: Indy took cover behind a flipped table, Daring flew above the area, doing zig-zags & whatever she could to not get shot at, and Marion hid behind the bartender's booth.

"Don't shoot that thing!" The man in leather yelled "It has what we're looking for! One of you, get it!" Indy fired at the fireplace, making a barrier to the upstairs room for the men fighting them. One of the goons came right behind Indy and grabbed him by his collar.

"Dad!" Daring yelled. She flapped her wings and flew to rescue her dad. Though she doesn't quite pack the punch, she packed quite the bite, as she bit the goon's hand. He screamed in pain, giving Indy the chance to fight back. Another goon aimed at Indy while he was fighting, but, very luckily, Marion grabbed a bottle of vodka and slammed it on his head, knocking him out with the price being no vodka to drink from anymore. Indy was tackled by another one of the henchmen, choking Indy on a table! Daring tried to rush ahead, but walked back in fear as the man in the black leather jacket walked up to her with his disturbing smile.

"Give me that," he bargained "and I'll let you and your father live."

"Over my dead body!"

"If you insist." He leapted towards Daring! Daring sprinted to her left, making the man's face land on the burning kettle on the floor! He creamed in pain, but Daring ignored him: she flew to her father, picked up a whisky bottle, and slammed it on the the goon's head! He feel to the floor unconscious, and Indy got up, taking deep breaths, but smiled as Daring saved his life again. Another goon came along, holding a tommy gun and aimed it at them! A  shot was heard, and they both flinched. They looked at each other, then themselves, seeing that they weren't shot. They turned to the goon, who spat blood, then fell to the floor. They all ran outside,, seeing the place crumble & fall in flames.

"Well Jones," Marion said, her voice barely heard with the rushing winds. "at least you haven't forgotten to show a lady a good time!"

"Hey!" Daring replied "I was there too!"

"Oh yeah! Here, you left this!" Marion gave Daring back her hat. Daring accepted it and placed it back over her head.

"You are sure something!" Indy said to Marion

"Yeah, I'll tell you what: Until I get my five thousand dollars back, you're both going to get more than what you bargained for!"

"And that is!?" Daring asked, flying to Marion's face with a hopeful smile.

"I'm your goddamn partner!" Next Chapter: Sallah and the market chase Estimated time remaining: 9 Minutes
