She is not a pet.

Indiana Jones, Short Round, Willie, and A.K. Yearling stood in line, waiting for their tickets to go home via airplane. A.K. Yearling sat on her father's shoulder, looking a bit like an oversize parrot, as she attempted to balance Indy's hat on her head, only for it to cover her who entire head & face. Indiana couldn't help but chuckle at what his new adopted daughter was trying to do, watching her struggle a bit as she tried to take the hat off.

"Let me help you out." He said. He scooped the hat with Yearling inside, as she stuck her head out of the hat and looked where she was at. She blushed and flew up to his face, snuggling her face into his cheek.

"Next!" The travel agent spoke in English with his country's accent.

"You're going to love your new home." Indy said to A.K. Yearling. He turned his attention to the travel agent. "Hello there. I'd like 4 one way tickets to-"

"We apologize, but no pets are allowed." The agent interrupted. Indiana looked at the agent, then turned to A.K. Yearling.

"Oh! Her? She's not my pet, nor is she a pet at all."

"Well I don't care if it's your or not, no animals are allowed on the planes." Indiana chuckled to himself, trying to keep calm.

"Look, she is not an animal at all, nor is she my pet. She is a pegasus and, above that, she is my new daughter. Please, don't let me repeat myself again: I'd. Like. 4. One Way. Tickets. To. Connecticut. Please." Silence came in between Indy and the travel agent. If it were any moment later, either the travel agent would have a broken nose and Indy would've been in jail for the next few years. A.K. Yearling landed onto the counter.

"Pwetty pwease?" She asked, making her eyes & pupils grow large, followed by her bottom lip sticking out & going over of her upper lip, quivering it a bit. The Travel Agent's eyes widened and he scooted back in his chair.

"Hayagriva!!!" He yelled, now speaking Hindi "*I'm so sorry, Hayagriva! Please, take the plane ride to Connecticut! Free of charge!!!*" A.K.Yearling stared at the man for a few moments, then turned to her father.

"What did he say?" she asked

"...we have a free ride." Indiana replied

"Finally!" Willie yelled "Hello modern civilization!"

"And hello opportunities!!!" Short Round added. Indy smiled at what A.K. Yearling did.

"When we get home," He asked "Would you like some sweets?"

"Sweets!?" Yearling asked, her eyes beaming with hope "YAY!!!" Her wings buzzed again and she flew next to her father. Indiana lead the way and the whole group went into an airplane: it was much bigger than the one they arrived in India with, as there were more seats, no cages filled with chickens around, and many other people, Tourists & Indians, were taking their seat. The people stared at A.K. Yearling in complete silence as the four took their seats in the middle row. While there were only three seats available, Yearling stuck by her father, siting on his lap, but looked around her and noticed the people staring at her.

"Why are they starewing at me?" She asked to her father. Indy looked around, noticing the people staring at her.

"Don't mind them," he replied, pulling out his journal "You're just... different."

"Is that good?"

"With you, it is." The plane began and Yearling looked out of the window, seeing them fly above the ground, then turned to her father, watching him write something down. She flapped her wings and looked above her father's shoulder, seeing him draw something.

"What'cha doing?"

"writing."

"Whiting what?"

"My adventure before I meet you."

"Ooh! I want to read that!"

"Well... I guess you can look at these." He dug into his bag and pulled out some older, dustier journals that caused Yearling to let out some small and adorable sneezes. Indiana couldn't help but smile at it and gave her one of his various journals. She inspected the journal a bit, not sure what it'd do, then opened it, seeing various pictures of what was different objects, each looking old.

"What is this?" She asked, holding the journal in one hoof and poking at it with the other. How was she able to do that would probably be answered later.

"It's one of my journals." He replied "Like I said, you can look at the pictures, but I'll help you read when we get to the Marshall museum."

"Marshall museum?"

"Where I work. Hopefully, Marcus will understand."

"Marcus?"

"He's... your uncle."

"MY UNCA!?!?!? Unca Marcus!?!?!?"

"Yeah, you can say that." He placed his fedora over his face and began to take his nap, slowly petting A.K. Yearling as she began to scroll through his journal, looking at the various pictures of treasures & booby traps he went through.

Insert map transition here.

The plane landed and Indy woke up from his nap, seeing his new daughter halfway through the same journal he gave her.

Strange, He thought Is she really into those pictures?

"Yearling?" He asked

"Shh!" She responded "I'm reading how you found the Crown Jewels Of King John while fighting that jerk and his men!" Indy's eyes widened, as not only was A.K. Yearling into his stories, but the fact that she can read so well, despite not being taught at all. He couldn't help but chuckle to himself at both how adorable it was for her to read his stuff and how she was into it so much.

"Well," he spoke, taking the journal away from her "I'm sorry, but we have to go."

"NO!!!" She pleaded "5 MORE MINUTES!!!" Her eyes beamed with sadness, tugging at Indy's heart. He groaned to himself again, giving in to her cuteness. He carried her and placed her in his bag as she continued reading. Both Indy and Willie walked side by side as they exited the plane, followed by Short Round. A car was outside, and a man in a grey suit stood out of it, waiting for someone.

"Dr. Jones?" He asked

"Yeah?" Indy replied

"It's been some time. We thought you were dead."

"You know me better than that."

"So... is this it?" Willie asked

"Yeah... I guess it is."

"So... one last kiss?"

"One last kiss." They both reached to each other and kissed each other. Yearling looked up from her reading session and saw the two kiss. Both her and Short Round pretended to gag. The two stopped kissing and looked at each other in their eyes one final time. Indy turned to the driver.

"Get Willie here a ride to the nearest nightclub." Indy spoke "And as for Short Round here... find him a family as soon as possible."

"I'm not going with you?" Short Round asked with disappointment. Indy took a deep breath and looked at the kid.

"Listen, though you helped me out in that temple, that was more or less an accident on my part. If it weren't for the temple, I'm pretty sure you'd get a family sooner than planned."

"So... I'm getting a new home?"

"With a loving family." He shuffled his hair a bit. "Plus, I got Yearling here, and she has no one to care for her, so I might as well be a parent to her until we can find a family of Pegasuses."

"So you're keeping her?"

"Yeah. Plus, I really can't deny her with those eyes."

"I can hear you!" Yearling spoke, not even looking away from the journal.

"Come here!" He gave Short Round a quick hug before walking into the car. Yearling luckily dropped the journal on time, peeked out the window, and waved goodbye to Willie & Short Round, who waved back in return as another car came along to pick them up. The driver entered the car, but stopped and stared at Yearling. Yearling stared right back, then smiled and waved.

"Hi!" she said.

"... Is that a-" the driver stammered

"Yes." Indy interrupted "It's a talking, female pegasus and I am now her father, so don't say she's a pet."

"... I'm not even going to ask." The driver started the car and drove ahead.

After an hour of driving & entering the museum, Yearling was awestruck by the size of the museum, resting on her father's head as she looked around the area, nearly pointing everything out as they walked. A couple of people stared at the sight of something weird but cute, and the two were greeted by an eccentric man in a black suit who looked older than Indy himself.

"Indy!" He yelled "It's been such a long time! What happened!? Where did you go? And- What the? Is that a-"

"Yes," Indy replied, grabbing Yearling off his head and caressed her mane "it's a pegasus."

"Hewwo!" Yearling spoke while waving towards the man. "My name is Amy Keating Yewing!" The man stared at her for a bit.

"By jove," he spoke "not only can it talk, but it's ADORABLE!!!"

"And she's pretty smart." Indy added, gently placing Yearling on the floor. The man bent down to Yearling. Her ears perked down and she backed up a bit.

"Hello there! I'm Marcus Brody."

"Marcus?" She asked with her ears perking up.

"That'r right. I founded this museum you're in and I wanted to say-"

"UNCA MARCUS!!!" She tackled Marcus to the floor and hugged his neck, snuggling her head. Marcus hollered with laughter as she hugged him.

"No!" He yelled with laughter "St-ahahahahp that! I'm ti-hehehehehehehe-cklish!" Indiana, again, couldn't help but smirk at the sight, seeing this small form of tickle torture for a few seconds.

"Alright," he said "I guess that's enough." He leaned down and took Yearling off Brody, turning her around and using his arm as a cradle & his free arm to gently scratch her belly with it's index finger. Marcus got up, still laughing a bit, but slowly getting his calm back.

"Whoo!" He exclaimed "You have something there, Dr. Jones."

"Tell me about it."

"Oh! And about your companions?"

"Willie and Short Round?"

"Yes, those two good fellows of yours: Willie now has a job at a nightclub called "The Copacabana", and the boy is now in Astoria, Oregon. Hopefully, the Country club there won't be much of a problem for him in the future."

"That's good to know." Another small growl was heard. A.K. Yearling looked at her belly then blushed with an embarrassing smile.

"Aw! Look at that! She's hungry! Come with me, I should have some apples in the that she'll enjoy."

"Yay!" She cheered "Apples!!!"

"And while we're at it, you can tell me what happened and how you acquired you're new pet."

"I'm not a pet! I'm Daddy's wittle giwl!"

"Aw! Even when she's angry, she cute! Right?" He looked up to Indy, who gave him a death glare. Marcus went from smiling to a nervous frown.

"She is my daughter," Indy spoke with a stern attitude that would make any brave man cower "and don't you ever call her a 'pet' again, understand?"

"Yes sir!" Marcus replied with quick nodding.

"Apples!" Yearling chanted "I want apples!"

"And we're going to get some!" Marcus spoke, turning and running ahead

Oh please, let there be apples!!! He thought to himself in panic. Next Chapter: I'm Dawing Do! Estimated time remaining: 34 Minutes
