Prologue: I'm A.K. Yeawing

As the village's children, Indy and Willie share a moment together with a kiss, only to be interrupted by water sprayed on them by Short Round and his elephant. All was well, as this was just another of one of Indiana Jones' adventures. Sure, he didn't get the Sankara stone to be seen by everyone in the Marshall museum, but just knowing that this village is now in peace, the thugee won't be a problem anymore, and the children being free is a good thing.

"Now," Willie, the annoying Shanghai singer, spoke "Where's the plane out of here!"

"You're still on that subject?" Indiana asked in an annoyed voice.

"Of course! Do I need to remind you!? I'm a singer, not an adventurer! I have to get out of here before I become... a brute like you!"

"Fine, but this brute is the only way back home. We're going to Connecticut. If you want to part ways, be my guest."

"...FINE!!! Where's the nearest airport outta here?"

"Just follow me and we'll be there. Short Round, stick with me."

"Okie-Dokie Doctor Jones!" Short Round, the child, spoke. The three left the village, waving good-bye to the village and looking like heroes, heading towards an airports that, hopefully, the pilots won't jump out & leave them to die.

After a few hours of walking into a jungle, hearing the complaints from Willie as she was behind, a camp was made with a small fire going on. Each of them had their own tent up, with Indy's tent recognized by his shoulder bag, Short Round's with his baseball cap, and Willie's her dress.

"Are we there yet!?" Willie complained, yet again.

"We'll be there in the morning." Indy replied, playing cards with Short Round again. "No cheating this time, got it?"

"I never cheat!" The boy replied. Indy pulled out an apple from his coat pocket.

"We'll see about that. Play fairly & win, and you get this apple."

"...DEAL!!!" A rustling sound was heard in the bush, taking Indy's hat clean, followed by a silhouette of an animal running by Willie's legs. Willie, as she does, screamed at the top of her lungs, falling down and crawling away from the bush. Short Round covered his ears as Willie continued to scream for the next few seconds.

"WILL YOU SHUT UP!?!?!?" Jones yelled, effectively silencing Willie. He got up, took the apple with him, and listened carefully at the rustling bushes, hearing a faint 'Nom' sounds. Carefully, he parted the bushes, but froze in complete silence, as, sitting on it's haunches and attempting to eat his fedora, was a small, dark golden pegasus with a spiky mane that went from light grey on top to black on the bottom, that was about the same size as his fedora. It stopped and turned towards Indiana, staring at him with his hat still in it's mouth. Indy snapped himself back to reality and extended his hand out to the pegasus.

"Hat." He simply spoke. The pegasus stared at his hand, comprehending what he was doing, then leaned it's head towards his hand and dropped the hat. Jones took his hat and placed it back on his head, placed the apple in his coat pocket, then took a step towards the pegasus and grabbed it with both of his hands. The pegasus squirmed a bit, trying to free herself, but stopped as Indy used his right arm as a cradle for it.

"What is it!?" Willie asked, nearly on the edge of panic. Indy turned around, caressing the pegasus' mane.

"It's a pegasus." He stated.

"A pega-what?" Short Round asked. Indy walked back to the camp and carefully sat down with he pegasus in his arms. Willie became curious and sat right behind Indy, peeking over his shoulder to see the pegasus, who had it's eyes shut and relaxing into Indy's arm.

"According to Greek legend," Indy answered "A pegasus is described as a majestic horse with wings on it's sides, flying freely across the sky. Of course, the legends say Pegasus was white, taller than an average horse, and a stallion. I don't think it's a stallion, but I know it's not white nor as tall as a horse."

"But... if it's myth... why is a real pegasus here?" Willie asked.

"I have no idea. I mean, it's not like we can ask her why she's here." A low growl was heard. The pegasus' eyes opened and it's ears perked looked at it's belly that growled, then stared at Indy with a hungry look in it's magenta colored eyes. Just the way it stared at Indy made him smirk. Without saying anything, Jones pulled out the apple and held it in front of the pegasus. It tilted it's head to the side, wondering what it was, took a quick sniff, then bit into the apple. It's pupils widened, then it's eyes went halfway closed, as it chewed it's piece, swallowed, and let out an 'Ah' with it's tongue lobbing out of it's mouth.

"Is that normal?" Short Round asked

"Not in the slightest." Jones answered. "Though the apple seemed to do the trick." It's ears perked up again and it looked at Indiana in the face.

"Apple?" it asked, turning it's head to the right as Dr. Jone's old family dog 'Indiana' did, with the voice of a little girl. Everyone froze at what just happened.

"It... spoke." Willie said, not screaming for once.

"I think we've gone crazy." Indiana commented. The talking pegasus jumped from Indy's arm, landed on the floor, and turned towards the archaeologist, wagging it's tail very similar to a dog.

"Apples!" It spoke again "I want apples!"

"It's a baby!" Short Round exclaimed. The pegasus ran around Short round, repeating 'I love apples!' for a few seconds. Indiana slapped himself across the face and quickly grabbed the pegasus, looking all over her. She giggled at what he was doing, oblivious on what he was doing.

"How is this happening!?" Indiana freaked out "It's a pegasus, but how is it talking!?" He turned her around, making them both see each other face to face. The pegasus reached her front right hoof and gently touched Indiana's nose

"BOOP!" She spoke with a giggle.

"What is your name!?"

"My name is Amy Keating Yewing."

"How are you here!? Where did you come from?" She stopped and stared at Indiana, then shrugged her front hooves in a 'I don't know' way.

"I saw a bwight wight and I woke up here. I was hungwy, so that's why I took yo hat. Sowwy for that."

"Well... don;t worry about that. Just don't do that, okay?" she nodded with a smile "So... do you have parents?" Her eyes widened & pupils grew into a ridiculously cute way.

"... are you my daddy?" Her eyes... they were too innocent, too huge, and very expressive for something that shouldn't exist. Indy's heart melted at the sight, and he groaned in dread: not only was this creature adorable, but she thinks he's her father. He know he couldn't have made her, but at the same time, he couldn't leave something so small and defenseless on her own. He swallowed hard, took a deep breath and spoke.

"I'm not your father," her eyes stared into him, and he could see tears being quickly developed "but... you'll be my... daughter."

"DADDY!!!" Her wings flapped rapidly, buzzing & almost sounding like that of a plane before she got out of his grip and tackled him, as she hugged him across his neck and making what was probably purring noises. Both Willie and Short Round watched this and couldn't help but giggle at the really cute sight of what was happening. As for Dr. Henry Walter "Indiana" Jones, Jr, he couldn't help but smile at the feeling of something so small & fuzzy hugging him with a grip that was both tight, but soft at the same time, and hearing her giggle with the hugging & snuggling she was doing to him. Indy caressed his new daughter's mane.

Oh god! He thought to himself Please, for all that's good in this world, do not become your father, Indiana. He felt Daring do release her grip on his neck, then carefully took her off, seeing that her eyes drooping.

"Tired?" He asked.

"Uh huh." She responded with a cute yawn.

"Yeah, same thing here." He carefully crawled into his tent, placing Yearling next to his head and his hat over his face. Both Short Round and Willie, without saying anything, agreed and went to their own tent. In a few minutes, everyone was fast asleep, all except for Yearling herself. She woke up a bit after everyone went to sleep and noticed she was on the dirt floor, next to her father's head. As quietly as she could, she climbed up her father's chest, walked around in a circle, and laid on her father's chest while rolled up into a ball, hearing her father's heartbeat in a smooth, rhythmic pattern that caused her to finally fall asleep as well. Next Chapter: She is not a pet. Estimated time remaining: 43 Minutes
