The Next Day

I walked with Discord through Ponyville, receiving a few odd glances from the townsfolk but that was to be expected. He did try to turn all of Ponyville into the Chaos Capital of the world yesterday. After reaching an agreement with Celestia and Luna, Discord was pardoned and accepted into Equestrian society. Although he had to do a bit of community service but he was forgiven nonetheless. I had a plan for him to be accept into the town, first I get Twilight and the girls to befriend him, then move onto my friend group. Our first stop was Twilights library, if she accused him of being a monster I had a trick up my sleeve to counteract it, although I really didn't want to use it.

"Alright, here we are." Discord and I stood in front of Golden Oaks Library.

"You sure this is gonna go smoothly Zero, I have the distinct feeling that Princess Pancake in there has it out for me." I covered my mouth and struggled to hold in my laughter.

"Princess Pancake?!" He smiled and turned into Twilight with wings, a crown and robe with patterns of pancakes on them and a cane with a pancake on the top.

"My esteemed subjects, today I, the beautiful Princess Pancake, shall bring you the syrup your villages so require." We both burst out laughing and fell on our backs.

"Oh man, I have a feeling you and I are gonna get along just fine." We got up and walked into the library. As we entered we saw a mountain of books and paper with a sleeping Twilight in the middle of it all with a blanket over her.

"Oh, it's you guys." We turned to see Spike walking towards Twilight with a cup of coffee. "If you're wondering why Twilight is like this, she was up all night trying to form a fail safe in case Discord ever decided to turn evil." Discord scoffed and glared at the sleeping mare.

"Come on Discord, she's just doing it to feel safe."

"I know, but could I maybe just make it rain a little in here to ruin her-" The sound of me cocking my revolver shit him up. "Fine, I'll leave the tiny pony alone." Smiling I spun my gun around and placed it back in my pocket.

"Can I at least wake her up?" He asked with huge puppy dog eyes.

"No, you're not doing anything to my brothers marefriend." I know that they hadn't really started the relationship but Twi and Tavi liked to think about themselves that way, helped them deal with the loss in some weird way. Discord looked at me and huffed.

"Why am I even asking your permission?" Again, a click answered his question. "Oh right, that."

"Should we come back later Spike?" I asked, Spike wasn't around when Discord had begun his mission so he had to rely on what others told him. Luckily I got to him first and got him to stay calm when Discord was around.

"Yeah, you don't wanna be around when Twilight wakes up and doesn't drink her after study coffee, it's not a pretty sight." I shivered at the memory of the last time Twilight had stayed up all night researching something, that was when Octavia was revealed to be pregnant with my niece or nefew.

"Well then I guess we'll come back later. See ya Spike." He waved at us as we walked out and put on some protective gear to prepare himself to wake up the sleeping mare.

I stood at Symbols grave with Discord, stopping by to pay my respects. I did this often, I just couldn't stop coming back, not after what happened. I find him again after all this time and within two days he has to go and get himself killed.

"You keep coming here too huh?" I turned my head to see Lisa walking towards us. Discord looked her over and smirked. Rolling my eyes I elbowed him in the crotch.

"Don't even think about it Discord she's taken." He just nodded while holding his crotch, experiencing the worst kind of pain. "Hey Lisa, ignore him." She walked to my side and got on her knees to get to the same height.

"It's weird isn't it? I just feel like I'm, drawn to the grave or something." I nodded.

"I feel the same way, everyone else does. I've spotted them all coming here. Auldin, Gale, Marx even Epidemic. There's just something that's drawing all of us to here." Lisa nodded in agreement.

"So, how goes your search for the key to the chest in Symbols house?" She asked as she put a small purple flower on the grave.

"Not good. But I did have a weird dream last night. Symbol was speaking to me, he told me to find the key and open the chest. Whatever is in there is obviously important." She looked at me curiously. "Anyway, how have you and Gale been settling in with the whole concept of living with each other?"

"It's been going alright. A candle with a purple flame that never goes out appeared in our appartment randomly but other than that it's been relatively normal." That sparked my interest, apparently all of the displaced in the family had received their own little candles of the same description, hell even I got one. Maybe it was something Symbol did before he died, who knows.

"Even in death he still manages to do something crazy like that." I chuckled slightly and we all began to walk away from the grave. "Rest in peace bro."

Lisa gave me a meaningful hug and returned to her world.

"Well Discord, looks like we're heading to our next target. Fluttershy's cottage." He frowned at me and I laughed nervously. "Hey, if you keep looking at Lisa that way I'm gonna make sure you can't do anything to her. Besides you can heal yourself."

"It still hurts like Tartarus." I shrugged.

"Could have been worse, she could have stabbed you with a tendril." Discord shuddered. "Yeah as sexy as she can be its best to leave her be."

"I heard that Zero."

"It was a compliment Lisa." She gave a hum in satisfaction and walked back through her portal.
