Chapter 6: Dreams vs Imagination

“START!!!”

Upon hearing that Gremmy took a few steps back away from Twilight & Luna who horns were glowing. Twilight fired the first shot at Gremmy but was blocked by the stadium floor that he imagine up. Luna did nothing but kept her horn glowing, readying herself for when and or if Twilight loses then she’ll be up to fight him. As she watched she notice that Twilight was acting a bit odd, she would usually watch her opponents to see what their fighting style was. But now it looked like she wanted to kill Gremmy.

“You do realize that shooting magical beams of “friendship” isn’t going to help you much Princess.”

“Shut up human, it’s all part of my strategy to see you dead at my feet!” She said firing another shot at him, but was again blocked. “Dammit why won’t you fight me!?”

“Because I prefer to fight somepony with a level head, then somepony who’s a racist.”

“I AM NOT A RACIST!!!”

“Really now, then what about what happen a few days back when you and your friends attack Cang for no reason?”

“He started that fight, not us.”

“You really suck at lying if you think that what happen.”

“Shut up, all I know is that once I’m finish with you I’ll make sure your friends and the pony in your town will pay for having humans in it.”

“Hm…….Say have you ever been hit by a hand made of stone?”

“No why-” Just as she was about to answer Gremmy’s question. A hand made of stone appeared out of nowhere and slammed on top of her. The hand moved out of the way to reveal a smashed and beat up Twilight with possibly a few broken bones and two broken wings. “Listen good and listen well Princess of Friendship, I don’t know what happen to you to make you like a racist prick and frankly I don’t care. But I am warning you and your friends, you can come after me all you want but if you think I’m just gonna let you make a threat like that towards my friends. Then you never met me before, because if you so much at to attack or kill anyone of my friends or Our Town. I will not break you like I did just now, I will destroy you by taking away your magic along with your friends magic as well."

“HA! That’s what you get you jerk!” Yelled Lotus.

“Not helpful, Lotus,” Kat commented.

“What? She’s been acting like a prick for the past 4 to 5 days, you can’t expect me not to be happy that Gremmy finally shut her up.” Lotus looked over at Raven. “Oh come on! Am I the only one who got annoyed by that?”

Raven sighed. “Insulting her isn’t gonna fix it. It may be annoying , but if ya keep egging her on, it’s just gonna make things worse. Like talking to a conspiracy theorist.”

“Ugh.”

“Normally we would of put her to sleep, but I think your method was better.” Said Luna teleporting the K.O.’d  Twilight to the infirmary. “Though my sister might not like what you did to her prize student.”

“If that is her so called prize student, then she’s really not that good at picking the best student she has.”

“I’ll admit, she wasn’t always the smartest pony that I know.”

“I’m right here you know?” Celestia stated with an annoyed look on her face.

“Doesn’t make it less true sister. Anyway sorry about what Twilight said, we hope this doesn’t make you think all ponies hate humans.”

“No, but next time she makes a threat like that, then I will take away her magic…..permanently.”

“Understandable, now then.” Luna summoned a katana from the ground resembling the crescent moon. “Shall we dance young colt?”

“Mares first.” Gremmy gestured as Luna charged at him getting ready to attack Gremmy. Gremmy didn’t bother to move as he just stood his ground as the Katana hit him, to everypony’s surprise the sword didn’t hurt him at all.

“Interesting, so you say you have powers over the realm of imagination last time we met right?”

“Indeed, for example I just imagine myself to be hard as steel. So you’re gonna have to do better then-.” Gremmy could finish his sentence as he felt a sharp stinking sensation run down his chest.

“Something’s not right,” Kat said, looking grim.

“What do you mean?” Lotus asked.

“She’s right,” Raven said just as serious. “It looks like he’s in pain.”

“Can somepony tell me what’s going here?” Just as Raven was about to answer, they heard a sound of something being torn up along with the sound of something spilling. As the looked at the stadium they saw that Gremmy was bleeding.

“Gremmy!” Kat and Raven screamed in shock.

“Just as I thought, we both have the same powers. Only the difference is that you’re able to materialize your imagination, and I’m only able to make them into weapons on certain days.”

“Tsh…..So I take it you thought of a weapon to hurt me then I take it…..”

“Something along the lines yes.”

“I have to give Luna points there,” Kat commented, Raven nodding in agreement. “That’s some good strategizing.”

“Well then.” Gremmy pulled himself from the ground, and his wound healed up instantly. “Then I guess I’ll have to get serious on you then huh?” Gremmy turn his attention towards Lotus. “Lotus!?”

“I’ll allow it.” Lotus said as she pulled out a stone and smashed it into her hands. “Go kick her flanks.”

“Okay, what was that?” Raven asked.

“A few years back Gremmy put a few restraints on himself so he would have a more better control over his powers. What you saw me do was smash the stone that restrains him, why do you think he lost the battle with your sister?”

“Because Kat is undefeatable?” Raven shrugged.

“The restraints I keep on him, keeps him from….Imagining certain things. Don’t get me wrong your sister is strong, but there’s one thing that no being can escape.”

“Keep telling yourself that, Lotus,” Kat said. “But go on.”

“Death.” She answered. “No matter if you’re immortal or ageless, death will always find a way to get you.”

“...I’m gonna say that if the real Gremmy still died and had this power, then I say that’s bullshit,” Raven said succinctly.

“Then you obviously never fought against a being like that.”

Gremmy cracked his neck as he summoned fists made of stone to be thrown at Luna. Luna in return teleported out of the way of the attack only to find herself inside a cube made up of water.

“How did you--?”

“Know where you were going to teleport off to? It’s not that hard when you try to attack someone from behind.” He answered as he slammed Luna onto the ground. “You maybe able to damage me, but it won’t do you any good if you can hit me.”

“Can’t she just dream of a way?” Raven asked. “I mean seriously, this is a fight over dreams and imagination, they’re pretty equal. It’d be more entertaining to see them fight without powers. See how they do then.”

“Luna can only make dream weapons not something like that.” Said Lotus. “Besides look at the expressions on their faces.”

“I’m still gonna bet on Luna,” Kat said.

“Bet you 500 bits that Gremmy would win.”

“I don’t have any money,” Kat shrugged. “I’m dead broke. Have been for centuries.”

“Jeez, how do you make a living then?”

“With what? I’m crashing with Raven at the castle.”

“She’s a freeloader,” Raven smirked.

Kat deadpanned at her. “...salope.”

“Ugh you’re just as bad as Liltotto, just without the stretchy mouth thing.”

Luna fired a magical beam at Gremmy who blocked it by using the water from ground. Gremmy then imagine up lava gushing out from underneath her, but Luna saw his attack coming and summoned up a magical barrier to protect herself. “Nice try but that won’t work on me Gremmy.”

“Luna! Hit him on the head!” Kat called out.

“Not gonna work on me this time Kat, remember that token I gave you? Even if you gave her it, it won’t hurt me.” Gremmy summoned up an arsenal of firearms around himself. “But I think this will work on you though.”

“Oh buck!”

“You can do it, Luna!” Raven cheered.

Luna once again raised her shield up as the oncoming attack of bullets hit her shield. After a few seconds of heavy fire, Gremmy stopped firing as the dust cloud started to vanished. “.....That shield of yours is starting to annoy me.”

“We have seen your kind us such weapons as that, it’ll take more than that to hurt me or to break my shield.”

“Then tell me this Luna, have you ever seen what would happen if I filled those bullets up with an arrancar’s cero?” Luna looked down at the bullets that were now turning a mix color between green & black. “Cause if you haven’t then this is going to hurt…a lot.”

“Checkmate.” Said Lotus, as she watched the bullets under Luna exploded.

“I wouldn’t be completely sure,” Kat said. “While Gremmy is powerful, remember that Luna is a trained warrior. It’s a match of power over proper experience.”

As the dust from the cero disappeared, Luna was still standing, but the armor she had on was damaged. “Clever little trick you did. If it weren’t for the armor I had on, I would of been damaged even more than I am now.” She said removing the armor as it turned to dust. “Now I really must have you join the Night Corp.”

“Huh, never thought I’d meet a pony that can survive a cero explosion up close. But then again I’ve been fighting against ponies, not alicorns.”

“I been fighting for the past 1,000 years, unlike my sister who chose the easy life.” Luna took a striking stance getting ready to attack Gremmy. “I prefer the fighting style of life.” Upon saying that Luna rocketed towards the quincy as she brought her sword down upon him. At first she thought the attack made contact with him, but it only made contact with a stone copy of himself. Gremmy took this opportunity to counterattack with a lightning charged beam head towards Luna. The beam made contact as it sent Luna a few inches back.

“Luna my be a warrior, but when it comes to Gremmy and his tactical knowledge. Luna will have a hard time dealing with him.” Said Lotus drinking from Kat’s soda.

“Hey, ask first!” Kat whined, taking back her soda.

“You didn’t asked when you were eating your sister's food while she wasn’t looking.”

“She always does that,” Raven sighed. “I just had to get used to it.”

“You know it’s not too late to surrender Luna.”

“And miss out on the greatest fight I have never experience before in my life? Not a chance!” Luna threw her sword Gremmy who in return deflected it into the air.

“Is that the best you got-.” Before he could he could finish, he once again felt pain as he looked behind him to see the sword that he deflected was now through his chest. “Tsh….sucker punch.”

“You may be powerful, but what you do not have is experience. Something that you pretty much are lacking a lot of.” Luna said appearing right behind him. “Had you not have deflected my sword, you would of saw me move behind you.”

“I knew this would be a closer match than it appeared!” Raven cheered.

“Keep watching Raven, Luna doesn’t know that Gremmy planned for that to happen.” Said Lotus.

“Heh, and who said I didn’t know you would do something like that.” Gremmy said as his body started to glow. “I just need to figure out a way to get you close to me.”  Luna tried to pull her Katana from out of Gremmy, but for some reason it would pull out even when she was using her strength to pull it out. “BOOM!!!” He yelled as he made himself explode while holding onto Luna.

“See I told you he planned that to happen.”

“Come on, Luna,” Kat and Raven hoped.

Just as Gremmy was about to walk away thinking that he won after seeing Luna on the ground knocked out. The real Luna came out of nowhere and sliced through Gremmy with another katana that resembled her other sword that still stuck in Gremmy. But this sword was jet black and had a lunar eclipse sign on it. “Y…You didn’t think I just had…one sword that can hurt you, did you?” She asked reclaiming her other sword back from Gremmy.

“I’m not gonna lie but yeah I did, just never thought you would still be standing after getting hit with another bomb at point blank range.” Gremmy answered as he pulled himself back together. “But I will say this, you’re the first pony that cut me in half.” Gremmy placed his hands onto the stadium as he launched Luna and himself into the air. “And as a reward for hurting me twice, I’ll use one of my strongest techniques against you.”

“Come on, Luna. Come on, Luna,” Kat and Raven hoped again.

“Oh and what pray tell would that be?” Luna asked trying to sound confident.

Gremmy made another imaginative copy of himself as the sky above them changed from sky blue to sunset crimson red. “I’ll say this much, I won’t imagine you being weak or anything. And this meteor will not kill you or your ponies, but it will hurt you just like when you got hit by that kamikaze version of myself. Hope you can cut through it.”

“Huh…didn’t think he’ll be using one of the five techniques to beat Luna with.” Said Lotus.

“The clones again?” asked Kat.

“Yeah but this time with his clone out, the meteor is twice as strong, and twice as deadly.”

Just as the meteor was breaking through the atmosphere, Luna launched her self at it as she drew both her swords. “I must say you are full of surprises Gremmy, but if you think that this will stop me?” Luna’s sword started glow the same color as the night sky. “Then you’ll need something else then a rock from space to defeat me!” Luna launched the magic admitting from her swords as the attack made contact with the meteor, as it did the meteor was cut into and exploded upon being cut.

“Woo!” Raven cheered. “Luna is best Soul Reaper!”

“Damn guess I’ll have to use number two then.” Gremmy said as he teleport up to where Luna was with six clones of himself. “You really are a tough mare to bring down Luna, but this little dance we been having must come to an end.”

“Oh….so he’s about to use the room on her.” Said Lotus taking a bite out of Kat’s french fries.

“Anyone else thinking Luna and Kenpachi are related?” Raven asked.

“Well they do share some traits, but unlike him, Luna uses her brain for once. But I doubt she’ll stay conscious after Gremmy uses Galaxy room on her.”

“Have faith, young one,” Kat said. “Have faith in the might of the lunar princess.”

“What is this? Some kinda trick so you can hit me from behind?” Asked Luna taking a defensive stance.

“No, but you will be feeling like you been in space without a suit on.” Gremmy along with his clones raised their hands at Luna. “Sink into the void, Galaxy Room!!!” A veil of cosmic space surrounded Luna, encasing her in a cube of stardust and space.

“Checkmate!” Lotus said.

“Will that even work on Luna?” Raven asked. “I mean… she goes to the moon regularly. Isn’t she accustomed to the environment of space?”

“Who said it was space around the moon? Galaxy room is a part of space the no pony, not even Luna, has been to. Like what happened to King Sombra, her bodily fluids are forced to evaporate from her eyeballs and from her mouth. Her wounds will start to boil, and the tissues in her body will be damaged.”

“...don’t you think that’s a little too far? This isn’t a death match.”

“Relax she won’t die from it, after all she has been in space for the past 1,000 years remember?”

A few seconds pass before Gremmy removed the galaxy room from around Luna. To what the crowd could tell, it looked like the moon princess was fighting a war all by herself. Her eyes were bloodshot red, her wounds were even more open up then ever, and it looked like her wings were badly damaged as well. “I…..I must say…..I did not expect you…..to have a move like that.” She said trying to regain the air that she lost while in the room.

“What can I say I’m full of surprises.”

“It…it would appear so…..and as such…...you …win.” Upon saying that Luna collapsed onto a cloud in front of her. [Music Ends]

“I-I don’t believe it.” Said the announcer shocked at what happen. “The winner of the fight is Gremmy The Visionary!?”

Lotus looked at Kat and Raven with smug look on her face. “I told you Luna would lose to Gremmy.”

“Don’t look so smug, Lotus” Kat said, not looking upset. She was smiling actually. “She put up a decent fight, that’s all that matters.”

“Well I know that, but I just wanted to say that no matter how old you are you still have a chance at beating somepony in a fight.” She said as she begun to fly off towards Gremmy. “You thought Gremmy would lose and look how that turned out.”

“I would say he would have been better off losing,” Raven said stretching out. “Working for Luna would be good for him, and those friends of his. Can’t beat good ol’ military discipline.”

“Yeah but he prefers to stay the mayor of Our Town, plus he doesn’t want to be around the Elements until they get their act together.”

“They don’t live in Canterlot, to be fair,” she shrugged.

“Yes, but they do visit a certain sun princess from time to time.”

“Whatever.”

“Hey don’t be mad at me just because your favorite princess got her flank handed to her by Gremmy.” Lotus landed on Gremmy’s head. “Congrats Gremmy on winning against Luna, I knew the lessons I taught you finally paid off.”

“All you did was chuck stuff at me, and told me to hit them.”

“Still I taught you well.”

“Whatever you annoying little parasite.” Gremmy grabbed the beat up moon princess and teleported back to the floor of the arena. “Anyway I guess we’ll have to wait on that bet I made with her until she’s back on her feet.”

“I gotta say, Gremmy,” Kat started, “While that was a good fight… you weren’t very impressive.”

“If I wanted to show off I would of done so by now, plus I prefer to act all flashy when fighting somepony with somewhat the same powers I have.”

“That and you were still holding back.” Lotus commented.

“That’s not what I meant,” Kat shook her head. “Flashy, in all honesty, is just boring. Your powers do all the work and you basically did nothing. You didn’t fight. Your powers did. Someone finds a way around them and you’re pretty much done, dude.”

“........The only time when I used my hands, was when I killed Sombra 600 years ago. After what I promised an old friend that wouldn’t use them in a fight unless it was absolutely needed.”

“Hmm,” Raven looked him over. “Nah, you’re too scrawny. I would say that was still a part of your power. What Kat means is that are people out there that can make your powers ‘poof’! Gone. They’re gone, you’re screwed. Ya need to beef up; ya need to bench, bro.”

Gremmy sighed as he pulled out a bow made out of reishi energy. “We quincies may lose our powers, but we have another power that can’t be taken away from us. And that is spirit energy.”

“That part is true.” said Liltotto.

“Oh, you’re an archer,” Kat said, looking over the bow. “That’s good too, I suppose. You should probably get to practicing more with this thing. It’ll be better for you in the long run. Trusting your main powers too much will be a bad idea, trust me.”

“Oh I know that, we quincies only use our second weapons when dealing with a weak arrancar or a weak hollow. We use our real powers when facing a strong enemy.”

Kat shrugged. “If you say so. However, with that show, our time here is up.”

“You’re sure you can’t stay a little longer?” Asked Lotus. “It was kinda fun messing with you two from time to time, along with eat your food without you knowing.”

“Yes we do,” Raven said, looking at her watch. “Our vacation time is up and Celestia is going to be needing us back in the field soon enough. The troops can only handle the changelings for so long.”

“Well if you need my help you call me with the token I gave to Kat a few days ago.” Said Gremmy. “I’ll tell Double Diamond that you left when he’s out of the hospital.”

Raven laughed guiltily, blushing and rubbing the back of her neck. “Tell him I’m still sorry about that. He’s just really good.”

“I’ll tell him that as well when he recovers from the broken pelvis you gave him.”

“He’ll remember it, though,” Kat smirked before sighing. “It’s gonna be tough saying goodbye to Sugar. For both of us.”

“Don’t worry about it, by the time you return here again she’ll still be here.” Said Lotus.

“If we return,” Kat muttered.

“If not you can summon Gremmy and he can take Sugar Belle with him, if that’ll help?”

“I dunno,” she sighed. “I just don’t think a long distance relationship will work out. Not with the life I have.”

“Really? Damn and you two seem to be hitting off so well.”

Raven sighed. “Well… what if… oh gods, I can’t believe I’m saying this, but… what if Sugar Belle… comes with us?”

Kat did a double take. “Sistah say wut?!”

“She asked if I can come with you.” Said Sugar Belle walking in on the conversation, wearing a quincy outfit.

“Why are you wearing that?” Raven asked, Kat still in shock.

“Well I figure she’ll need somepony to keep company, plus seeing how I’m going to your world I might as well gear up for anything that might happen over there.” She answered while summoning a sword made out of reishi.

“...you do realize I’m not letting you join our military, right? That will be good for self defense, but no way no how am I letting an immigrant civilian into our ranks.”

“Who said I was gonna join in the army? I may only have gotten these powers thanks to Gremmy a few days ago, but I’m not a war pony. I’ll just provide you guys meals, after all you can’t fight on an empty stomach.” Sugar Belle said as she pulled out a plate with a full course meal on it. “After all I am Sugar C Belle now.”

Kat finally shook out of her stupor. “Y-you… you actually want to go back with us? ...with me?”

“Well yeah, why else would I force Gremmy to give me these powers if I didn’t want to go with you two?”

“Forced?” Raven asked, looking at Gremmy with a smile.

“Don’t ask.”

“I just did.” She was looking very, very smug. “So, the great Visionary, the one who bested Princess Luna herself, ordered around by a simple baker, huh?”

“Gremmy has a soft spot for cute mares like her, he can’t say no to them.” Said Lotus. “Plus Sugar Belle tried to seduce and flirt with him, but it was just….awkward…..really awkward.”

“You actually want to stay with me?” Kat asked, tears actually starting up in her eyes.

“Well yeah, you’re kinda the only pony that finds me attractive….right?”

“Only?! B-but you’re so cute and lovely!!”

“Well I do live in a town where I’m friends with everypony, I kinda think of them as family.” Sugar Belle said while blushing. “So can I come with you two?”

Kat lunged forward, hugging Sugar tight. “T-thank you,” she whispered, tears starting to fall.

Raven smiled at the sight. “Who am I to deny something like this? You do outrank me, anyway, sis.”

“I’ll take that as a yes?” Lotus asked.

“Yes,” Kat nodded, wiping away her tears. “A thousand times, yes.”

“Then she’s all yours Kat.”

“Then I suppose it’s a trip for three,” she said, taking Sugar’s hand in her own. “Think you can handle it, Raven?”

Raven blinked, a little taken back by it. “Well… I suppose I could try.” She stretched out her hand, glowing blue and black. With a strain, she opened up a swirling vortex. “Jesus, how do you do that so easily, Kat?”

“Practice, sis.”

“Good lord, this is gonna take awhile.”

Kat chuckled, looking back to the others. “Well, it’s certainly been somethin’, everypony.”

“Yeah it has hasn’t it?” Said Gremmy. “Hope to see you guys again sooner or later.”

“Same to y’all,” Raven saluted. She turned to Sugar. “Ready to start a new life on a brand new world?”

Sugar Belle looked back at her friends one last time before she shook her head ‘yes’. “Yes, I am.”

Kat smiled lovingly. “Allons-y.” Together, they all jumped through.

“So Gremmy, how long before Sugar Belle tells them about the archery thing that quincy’s have?” Asked Liltotto.

“I think she’ll show them the arrow thing later when the time is right, but until then let’s get Luna to the hospital before somepony thinks we’re kidnapping her.”

“Agreed.”
