(Our Town)

[Under a shady tree]

  Sitting under a shady tree during a peaceful afternoon was the girl with short temper, the girl with a few screws loose, Bambietta E Basterbine. Sulking under a tree from the events that happen to her. One minute she was on the battlefield of war fighting the shinigami’s and the next she’s on the ground dying even after being turned into a zombie by her fellow members. “..........Lucky little bastards.” She said looking at the ponies who were playing a game of tag.

“Hey there,” Kat said, popping out from the tree leaves above.

“Oh hey….what brings you here if you don’t mind me asking?”

“Well, I wanted to say… I’m sorry.”

“You don’t have apologies, if I had control over my body then I wouldn’t have fought you in the beginning. But I have to say if you were around during the war with the Quincy’s and Shinigami’s, I think we would win with your help.”

“That depends on who was the good guys. I’m more of the hero type, myself. I would like to make it up to you, though. We could be friends.”

“I have no problem with that, seeing how I’m dead yet alive in this strange world full of….talking ponies…This is just weird, you sure I’m not in hell or something?”

“Nah, I’ve been there, it’s a lot more dreary than ya think.”

“Man you humans are weird, but interesting to be around with.”

“Heh, I’ve heard that before… almost word for word. Anyway, I just wanted to cheer ya up. You’ve been pretty down lately.”

“You would be to if your so called members turn you into a zombie when you were about to die, used you as their punching bag or food supply, and  died again and came back again.”

“Come on, I know it seems bad, but I know Gremmy won’t take you for granted. Let’s find some way to cheer you up. Ooh! I could make you something! I’m a great cook!”

   “It’s not that, it just that for the past 1,000 years we quincy’s been at war with the shinigami’s for that long. And of course some of us join by choice, or were force to join. And for those who didn’t join our Emperor would…..well let’s just say it’s not a pretty sight to see.”

“Well, you’re not a war anymore. You can relax, kick back. Come on, no more gloomy Bambi.”

“Ugh you’re just like Gigi, just without the whole controlling dead thing going on.” Bambi said pulling herself up from the ground. “So what now?”

“Well, like I said, I could make you something to eat. Sure you don’t need to eat, but you should be able to at least enjoy something tasty, right?”

“....Eh fuck it, what else do I have to lose.”

“Come on, Sugar’s bakery isn’t too far from here.” Kat grabbed Bambi’s hand and led her onward. “You’re gonna love it!”

“It’s an odd life I live now, but it’s something at least.” Bambi thought as she let Kat pull her towards the bakery.

[Gremmys home}

“So let me get this straight,” Said Candice. “We’re just fictional characters based on a TV/Manga show?”

“Pretty much yeah.” Gremmy answered. “Humans made you guys from ideas and stuff.”

“Well isn’t that a bitch huh?”

“So what do we do now then leader?” Liltotto asked.

“I don’t know….live normal lives I guess.”

“If by normal you mean seeing talking ponies then yeah it’s normal.” Said Candice. “Then again it’s better then going back home.” She then turn her attention towards Raven. “Hey where’s your sister anyway?”

Raven closed her eyes for a moment. “Hmm… looks like she’s at the bakery and there’s someone else there with her.”

“Five bucks says it Bambi.” Liltotto said while getting up from her seat. “Might as well see what’s up with them, you guys want to come?”

“Sure, why not.”

“Then to the bakery it is then.”

(one quick walk to the bakery later)

“Are you seeing what I’m seeing girls?” Asked Giselle.

“You mean Bambi actually enjoying herself without killing anyone?” Said Candice. “Then yes I do.”

“Hell really must have frozen over if Bambi’s enjoying cooking.” Said Liltotto. “What did your sister do to her Raven?”

“Probably just be nice to her. Kat’s almost like a human Pinkie Pie. All she ever wants to do is make everyone smile...even when she can’t.”

“I don’t know who this Pinkie Pie is, but I have a feeling she’s just like Giselle. Only with out the whole blood control thing going on.”

Raven shrugged. “Kat can make everyone happy. It’s too bad she’ll never be.”

“What do you mean by that?” Asked Candice.

“Kat doesn’t believe in her own personal happiness,” Raven answered with a sad sigh.

“Why doesn’t she? Did she do something bad?”

“I don’t know a lot of Kat’s history, unfortunately. There’s only so much she’s ever told me, but from what she has said is that every time she’s happy… it never lasts and some one always gets hurt.”

“The price one must pay when they turn from villain to hero.” Said a voice calming coming from behind them. “It shouldn’t come to anyone’s surprise if someone else get’s hurt, such as life.”

“Oh hey Cang Du.”

“Who are you?” Raven asked.

“His name is Cang I Du, he’s The Iron. Able to make his skin as hard as iron.” Said Liltotto. “He’s also the philosophical kind of guy when he wants to be.”

“How would you know if Kat used to be a villain?” Raven asked suspisciously.

“Looking into her eyes I can see all the sins she has committed in the past. It’s something that a martial artist like myself can see.” Cang said as he walked towards the window. “But unlike most humans, at least she’s walking on the right path.”

“Hey! I take offense to that!”

“To be fair I’m not referring to you as one, but for those who chose the path of darkness like that Sombra character Gremmy told me about.”

Raven sighed. “Well, we might as well go in and see them.”

“Then I will take my leave for the time being, I have some patrolling to do.” He said as he vanish off.

“Eh I’m going to have a look around town as well, might as well get a good look of our HQ for the time being.” Liltotto said as she two walked off.

Raven shrugged. “Sucks for them. Let’s go.”

(Sugar Belle’s Bakery)

“Never thought I be making muffins in a ponies bakery.” Said Bambi.

“There’ll be a lot of firsts in Equestria. Trust me for sure,” Kat said, taking out another fresh pan of muffins.

“I’m getting the feeling I’m going to be doing weird stuff around here huh?”

“Just wait until you meet the princesses. They actually raise and lower the sun and moon.”

“......You know what, I’m not going to ask you how’s that possible.”

“Magick.”

“......Eh fuck it, I’m not gonna question it.”

“You’ll be better off that way,” Kat agreed. “I hope Sugar doesn’t get mad at me for using her ingredients like this.”

“I’m sure she won’t be mad.”

“I hope so… I think I have actually fallen for her.”

“Well then you better go pick up the phone then Kat.”

Kat looked up for a moment, then at Bambi with a confused expression. “Whahuh?”

“Because I fucking called it!” Kat just stared at her in utter confusion. “It’s me teasing you.”

“...very confusing words are coming from your mouth.” Kat shook her head. “And I thought I was done meeting people who talked a lot without saying anything.”

“Ugh forget it, that’s the last time I try teasing someone using human memes.”

“Oh mon dieu, don’t start me up on memes. I stopped bothering with them sense Raven doesn’t have a good sense of humor and my brother doesn’t even know what the heck they are. I  even had to explain YouTube to him! Can you believe that?”

“Seriously? How can he not know about that?”

“It’s a long, long story.”

“You can tell me it later.” She said as look out the window. “I believe we have some customers.”

“Hmm?” Kat asked, looking up from her cooking to see Candice, Raven, and Gremmy entering the shop. “Oh hey there! Look, I made a happy zombie!”

“Never thought I see the day you’d be happy for once Bambi, hell must have frozen over.” Said Candice, which made Bambi flip her the finger.

Kat pointed to Bambi, looking at Raven. “See, it’s stuff like this that make me keep the fillies in a separate universe.”

“Guess you can check off making a zombie smile on the list of things you made happy.” Said Gremmy.

Kat smiled. “I like making everyone happy. It’s what I do.” Just then, there was a earth shaking explosion coming from out near the center of town. Everyone inside looked outside the window to see a rainbow color mushroom cloud in the air. “Oh, that can’t be good. We’d better check it out. Allons-y!”

(Center of Our Town)

“Hm was that the best move you have? I have to say that was pathetic.” Cang said as he kicked Rainbow Dash a few steps away from him.

“I don’t understand, how can this human have withstood RD’s sonic rainboom!?” Asked Applejack.

“I don’t know, from what I can tell from my visit to the mirror world humans aren’t suppose to be this strong.” Said Twilight.

“I’ll say this once more, give up now and I won’t have to hurt you.”

“As if we’ll listen to a evil human like you.” Said Rainbow Dash charging at the quincy at full speed. “Eat hoof chump.”

“Fine then,” Cang pulled out a metal claw from his sleeves. “I did warn you.” Just as Rainbow Dash was about to hit him. Cang moved out of the away,grabbed Rainbow Dash by the tail and slammed her into the ground causing a small small creator round her. After he did that he placed a foot on Rainbow Dash’s back and broke her left wing, and right leg. “This should keep you down so I won’t have to hurt you even more.” He then turn his attention towards the other Elements of Harmony. “Anyone else foolish enough to challenge me next, or are you going to give up and explain why you attack me?”

“We’ll never give up, after what you did to Rainbow Dash we’re not going to let you get away with that.” Said Applejack charging at the quincy with a fist raised.

“How sad it is that you let your emotions blind your judgement.” Cang said as he took a defencive stance.

“Enough!” Kat shouted, landing between them. “This is no way for either of you to be acting.”

“Another Human?” Said Applejack as she stopped her oncoming attack.

“It seems someone has common sense around here.” Cang said as his metal claw returned inside his sleeve. “I’m surprise you didn’t catch the fight soon when I released some of my reishi into the air for you to notice it.”

“I don’t even know what that is,” Kat told him. “I don’t even know why I’m the one stopping you. Your boss should be doing this merde.”

“Cang what the hell’s going on?” Gremmy asked.

“I was patrolling our HQ until those 6 ponies attack me without any reason whatsoever.” He said pointing at Twilight and her friends.

“Gremmy, your friends with that human!?” Twilight asked in disbelief.

“Yes why?”

“Why would you be friends with him, matter a fact with them both?”

“Cause I can that’s why?”

“Twilight, maybe they have him under a spell or something?” Said Rarity.

“Humans can’t do magic, Rarity,” Kat sighed. “We can have super powers, but so far no one is under mind control. Nice to meet you, by the way. Name’s Kat.”

“Don’t lie to us human!” Yelled Twilight. “You humans are evil and must be brought to justice, look at what he did to Rainbow Dash!” She said pointing to the pegasus trying to move.

“Okay, that was him!” Kat pointed to Cang. “Not me. And since when are you the leading authority on humans?”

“I don’t have to explain myself to a human like you. Gremmy quick use your powers to help me get rid of them.”

“Uh no.”

“Huh, but why?” Asked Pinkie Pie. “Aren’t we friends?”

“You attack my lieutenant without any reason, so it’s kinda hard for me to be friends with someone attacks my friends.”

Unbeknownst to Twilight and the others, Raven had moved over to Rainbow Dash and was using a healing crystal on her. It was only when it was too late that the princess noticed.

“What are you doing to Rainbow Dash?!” Twilight yelled as she fired a magical beam at Raven. The beam was about to hit her until Cang stood in the way of the blast.

Raven didn’t pay her any mind, making sure the crystal did its job. “A healing crystal,” she finally said. “I’m making sure Rainbow is back to full health. There was no need for her to be hurt.”

“Maybe, but judging by the way they were fighting they would of cause lot of damage to this town. Along with the ponies in it.”

“You still didn’t need to break her wings,” Raven growled. “You never do that to a pegasus. That is cruel and inhumane. Do it again, I’ll kick your ass myself.”

“Take a look around you then Raven, and take a look at the ponies in front of us. If this fight were to go on any longer then the civilians in this town would be the one that get hurt.”

“Don’t you back talk me. Apologize, now.”

“I won’t apologize just because I was defending myself.”

“If Kat has to apologize to your teammates for doing it, then so do you.”

“Well technically --” Gremmy said but was cut off by Raven.

“No, buts, just do it.”

“Well they did attack first.” Sugar Belle said. “So they should be the ones that should apologize.”

“They both should,” Kat added in. “Raven wanted Cang to be the bigger man and apologize first so we can forget this whole mess and actually talk like civilized beings… and holy merde, I’m sounding like Ben. This stuff needs to stop.”

“I’ll apologize when they apologize first.”

“Like we would apologize to a evil human like you!” Yelled Rainbow Dash.

“ENOUGH!” Kat shouted, using the Royal Canterlot Voice. “Jeez, you’re acting like fillies! You’re supposed to me the Mane Six, the Elements of Harmony, the ultimate force of good and friendship in the land and you’re acting like a bunch of racist pricks! Celestia and Luna would be ashamed to see you all like this.”

“Humans are nothing but evil! After seeing their destructive powers in action, you humans are just as worse than Sombra. What’s even worse, you brainwashed Gremmy!” Yelled Twilight.

“God what made you act like a bitch? What did a human bitch slap you when you were a kid or something?” Liltotto asked.

“Gremmy,” Kat said looking at him. “Tell them the truth.”

“*Sigh* Looks like I won’t be visiting Vinyl anytime soon.” Gremmy snapped his fingers revealing his true form. “Sup.”

“Y-You’re a human!?”

“Pretty much yeah.”

“And is that going to change your friendship?” Kat asked, looking at Twilight. “Because honestly, you’re so far one of the worst Twilights I’ve met.”

Twilight didn’t say anything only gave Kat a serious look, then turned her attention to Gremmy. “You! When I tell Celestia about this, you’ll pay for impersonating a pony, human.”

“Oh I’m so scared please don’t tell on me Princess of Hypocrisy.” Gremmy said sarcastically.

“Celestia already knows,” Kat said, knowing full well that Gremmy never told her that. “Friendship is something you extend all creatures, not just ones you say so. Honestly, Twilight, I’m ashamed. You’re supposed to be the great Princess of Friendship, yet you deny it to anyone you deem unworthy. Doesn’t sound too much like a good friend. And to think I made you all muffins.”

“Humans don’t deserve friendship! After all humans lie, cheat, and use their friends for their own evil needs.”

“And ponies don’t?” she asked. “The Flim-Flam brothers. Trixie Lulamoon. Nightmare Moon. Gilda the griffon. What you described is the exact thing any creature in existence can do. Don’t think yourself above them when even you can be like that! Need I remind you of the Smartypants incident?”

“Who are you to talk monster!? For all I care you humans are nothing more than evil creatures that belong in cages!”

“....How sad.” Cang said.

“What?”

“You let a bad experience with the human prone you into fear, and make you nothing more than sad pathetic being who couldn’t handle it. So what do you do? You deemed humans to be nothing more the dirt on your shoes, I find it kind of sad.”

“I should introduce you to my brother,” Kat commented. “You’d get along quite well with your hatred.”

“Don’t compare to some inbred human you scum!”

“Twilight!” Kat shouted. “Do you even know who you’re acting like now?”

“Tsh should I care?”

“You’re acting like Chrysalis!”

“DON’T YOU DARE COMPARE ME TO THAT IDIOT OF A QUEEN!!!”

“....I get the sudden feeling somepony is using me as a ref….Eh I’m sure it’s nothing.”

(Back in Our Town)

“Then you should stop acting like her!” Kat growled, getting in her face. “I usually don’t interfere in other’s worlds this much, but you need to understand what you are doing. I met a Twilight like you once, only her hatred was of changelings, not humans. And you are on the same path she was. It starts with hatred, but eventually you will start wanting more and begin to kill any human you find. Is that what you want? To become a murderer? Because then you will truly be no better than that shedevil who nearly took your brother and your country.”

“Actually I would like for her to stay that way.” Said Gemmy which surprised everyone. “Hear me out on this one before you judge me. I want her to stay like that because after the fight with Luna, you’re gonna be my next opponent Twilight Sparkle.”

“I think you’ll be out of commission when Luna kicks your flank human.”

“We’ll see about that, but until then I’m finished with her. I’ll teach you the lesson on judging humans.”

“And I’m mad again,” Kat sighed. “Where’s my Sugar Belle? I need something to cheer me up.”

“Um I’m right here, I’m surprise you didn’t notice me here.” Sugar Belle answered.

“Oh, I am so sorry!” Kat said, looking ashamed. “But… I did make you muffins… they’re back at the bakery.”

“Ugh you’re dating a human? That just sick and wrong.” Said Rainbow Dash.

“I wouldn’t be talking about that is I was you Rainbow Crash.” Gremmy said. “Cause right now you and your friends are surrounded by humans that can kick your flanks.”

“We’re not dating,” she countered. “...not yet, anyway. I hadn’t asked just yet.”

“Still that just wrong  on so many levels.”

“I’ve done a lot weirder,” Kat shrugged. “You should know Rainbow, you’ve had a griffin in your house… I wouldn’t put it past you that she was also in your bed.”

“.....OH DEAR CELESTIA THAT JUST EVEN MORE WRONG!!!”

“Rainbow Dash, focus!!!” Twilight yelled then turned her attention back to Gremmy. “So you’re gonna teach me a lesson, I doubt a young colt like yourself could even take on a pony like me.”

“How about this then, I fight you and Luna at the end of the week. That way you’ll see just how wrong you are about how humans are scum on your hooves.”

“Fine then human, we’ll see just how weak and helpless you are when Luna and I rip you asunder.”

“Sugar, let’s go back to the bakery before I get really angry again.”

“Yes, I’ll ask Gremmy about what happens later.” The two of them walked off, Raven following behind, eager to see how Sugar and Kat would act.

(Sugar Belle’s Bakery)

[Moments later]

“So not only is Gremmy fighting Luna, but now he’s also fighting Twilight Sparkle?” Lotus asked munching on a muffin.

“Looks like it,” Raven added, taking a bite herself. “We are spending way too much time here. Too bad our vacation is almost up though. Think Kat and Sugar Belle will be able to start something within that time?”

“I’m pretty sure if I was in her position, then yeah.” Said Night Glider. “This is the first time she felt something for somepony….love wise that is.”

“It’s not for Kat… I can tell.”

“What do you mean?”

“She stares off into the sky at morning… always alone, just letting the wind blow through her hair. She’s always crying when I find her; just sitting there as the tears fall silently into the morning breeze.”

“Survivors Guilt.” Cang said.

“More than that… but she’s a secretive one. I doubt that she lost that loved one, not with the way she acts. I do hope something comes out of this instead of more pain, though.”

“Then why not have Sugar Belle go with her then?”

Raven was so surprised by that comment, she actually choked on her bite of muffin.

“What?”

“Y-you can’t be serious!”

“I am.”

“Okay, I already see two problems with that idea,” Raven said. “One: Sugar Belle would actually have to agree to that idea. And two: we are in the middle of a war! And not just any war, one that has raged for over a thousand years!”

“Your point? If your sister is strong enough to destroy a planet, then she should be strong enough to protect her friend right?”

“...ehehe, that’s an entirely different problem altogether and I’d really rather not go into it.”

“I take it that would be a bad idea then?”

“Let’s just say our world isn’t exactly the safest around. It’s all up to Sugar Belle, though, in the end. If she actually cares enough about Kat to uproot. That would mean Kat no longer has to worry about that annoying Minion.”

“Fair enough I guess.”

“There always long distance relationships.” Lotus suggested.

“With how time differences work, probably not the best idea,” Raven told them.

“Then how are they gonna make this work then?”

“Again, that’s up to Sugar,” Raven shrugged. “It’s not like she wouldn’t be taken care of, it’s just best she knows what she’s getting into.”

“If I know her she’ll be willing to go with your sister.” Night Glider said.

Raven sighed, slumping on to the table. “Enough about us, though. I think we’re starting to make too big of an impact on this place.”

“Agreed.” Said Cang. “We have more important matters at hand.”

“Then let’s get to it and leave the relationship drama alone,” Raven agreed.

“Then what’s so important mister emotionless iron man?” Lotus asked.

“Gremmy’s match with the princesses if you haven’t forgotten about it.”

“Luna will be more or less on equal ground, I’d wager,” Raven put in. “She’s practically the princess of dreams, the greatest source of imagination. Twilight will be more magic based of course, which has its own difficulties.”

“I’m more concern about what she’s planning seeing how she now knows about Gremmy’s true identity.”

“That’s for your future selves to discover, I suppose.”

“Still keep your eyes out for anything out of the ordinary. After seeing how these Element of Harmony react to humans, it best to say that they are planning something to take care of us.” Cang stood from his seat and begun to walk outside. “Fair warning, always keep you eye on your opponent even if they seem like weaklings.”

(Outside)

“Thank you for coming out here, Cang.” Kat said, leaning against the bakery wall.

“Care to explain why you called me here?”

“Your actions today with Rainbow Dash.”

“If you’re asking me to apologize about my actions, then you wasted your time calling me here.”

“Cang, I need you to understand what you did today. What you did to Rainbow wasn’t just harsh, but you could have ruined her life forever.”

“Your point? I knew fully well what I was doing, her mistake was  attack me without any reason.”

“Cang, while I understand that, in a world like this one that kind of violence is bad. You don’t respond to this kind of thing by breaking bones and twisting limbs! You avoid, you dodge, and you defend. This world is not as strong as the one you come from and these creatures are much more fragile. Self-defense can not be done like you did in a place like this.”

“And you think that’s gonna help? If I do recall this world isn’t all about sunshine and rainbows. No matter what world we’re in it’ll always going to have something like what happen this afternoon. All creature are not weak or helpless, even if they pretend to act like it.”

“And what happens if you kill somepony because of your ‘self-defense’?” Kat shot back. “This is not the kind of behavior that will help your case with the princesses or Gremmy. You’re supposed to be the bigger man, not stoop to their level.”

“If they die then they die, she should be lucky that didn’t kill her but only broke her leg and wing.”

Kat groaned, shaking her head. “And if you keep that kind of attitude, your new master will no doubt get rid of you. Violence is not be responded with violence like that. Yes, that may be a little hypocritical from me, but I also have access to medicine that can heal any wound. Just learn to think about what repercussions your actions will have, as they will all blame Gremmy because of you.”

“My job is to serve his majesty and to follow his orders, his order were to not kill anypony unless they prove to be a threat. Those are his order and I will follow his order until otherwise, even if it means the world will blame him or me for it. We are prepared for what will happen next.”

“Ugh, I’d have more luck talking to a brick wall,” Kat muttered, walking back towards Sugar Belle’s house without saying another word to Cang.

“She maybe old, but she still has much to learn.”

(A few days later)

      The day of the awaited match has finally come. Ponies from all over Canterlot were filling the stadium to watch the match between The Princess of the night and The Princess of Friendship, vs the young colt named Gremmy. Most of the nobles were surprise to see somepony challenging the princesses to a fight, while the others were eyeing the colt mostly because of the way he looks. Standing in the crowd where most ponies kept their distance from where his friends from Our Town, the displaced humans, and his lieutenants.

“When will the fight start already?” Asked Lotus. “I’m getting tired of waiting.”

“They always gotta build the hype, Lotus,” Kat told the breezie on her head. She, Raven, and Sugar Belle were all watching from a higher point: a cloud, to be exact.

“Well they should hurry up already I have some important to do, and one of them isn’t waiting for this match to start.”

“Shh,” Raven said, putting a finger to her lips. “Looks like they’re starting.”

    “Fillies and Gentlecolts!” Said the announcer. “Well to the Canterlot Battle arena! Normally this would be a place where the royal guards would train in, but today we have a special event today. Today we are have a battle between The Princess of the Night Luna & The Princess of Friendship and the Element of magic Twilight Sparkle. These two lovely ladies are going up against the mayor of this new town called “Our Town,” a young colt earth pony of the age of 18 who can use magic without a horn. Give it up for Gremmy Thoumeaux!”

“Come on Gremmy! Knock them bitches down a peg or two!” Yelled Lotus.

“Shh,” Kat and Raven said to her.

“Ready to lost thy fight human?” Asked Luna with a cocky grin on her face. “We heard all about who you are, and what you friend did to the Element of loyalty.”

“Tsh figures the bookworm would tell her little princess about what happen. Let me guess you’re also want to get revenge for what Cang did I guess.”

“On the contrary we find you most interesting, and would like to make a bet with you.”

“And what would that bet be?”

“If I win, I want you and your lieutenants to join the night guards.”

“WHAT!?” Said Twilight surprised at what Luna said. “You can be serious about this, he’s an evil human controlling other evil humans!”

“Hey fuck you nerd!” Yelled Lotus.

“Lotus, shush!” Kat said with a slight growl. “Commentary can wait until they’re actually fighting. We’re supposed to be the bigger mare.”

“Hey I’m not fighting them am I? I’m just voicing my thoughts out.”

“And like my sister told you before, Twilight, simple mindedness will lead to a pony’s downfall. So Gremmy will you take thy bet?”

“What do I get if I win?”

“We’ll let you know what you get when you win, so is it a deal?” Luna asked as she extended her hand at Gremmy.

“....Ok then deal.” Gremmy in return shook Luna’s hand in agreement.

“OK everypony are you ready for the fight to begin!?” The announcer asked, which made eveypony cheer for the fight to begin. “All righty then, the match will start in 3…..2…...1…….” The announcer fired a magical ball of energy into the for the match to start.
