GUESS WHOS BACK BITCHES! (Sorry, I just and a really, REALLY large urge to type that :P, besides, this story is rated M anyway, where’s the harm in a little bit of swearing?) I have decided to name the forest Terrance is staying in the Lost Woods. Anyway, on with the chapter!
Chapter 5
-_Lost woods, 2 days after previous chapter_-
Day 3 in the forest I now call home, ‘I’m surprised,’ I thought to myself, ‘I’ve already gotten used to this place, found sources of food, and even made a decent shelter out of a cave system.’ I was on my way to the lake from which I had been getting my water, this being my first time going there during the day. For some reason, the creatures of the woods were normally active at night, making water and food runs more difficult in the dark, even if my powers were at their max then.
Upon arriving at the lake, I conjured a bucket of shadow, walked up to the lake to draw water, looked down, and… screamed at what I saw. I stopped when I realized what I was looking at: my reflection, I looked completely different, my skin was white, my eyes, fingernails, and hair were pure black, I had white HORNS coming out of the sides of my forehead, and I had some sort of bulge in the back of my shirt. Said shirt then tore open, revealing a pair of pale white wings, similar to those of a bat, small black spikes were on the edges of where I assumed my bones were, both on the top, and on the bottom.
Searching for any other changes, I quickly took off my shoes and found one more, my feet had changed their new shape was rather… odd, to say the least. Each foot was like a bird’s talon, splitting in three directions at my heel, one directly to the back, and two going forward, each with, surprise surprise, more black claws at the end. All of the black parts of me seemed extremely sharp, I then proved this correct with a small experiment on the trees nearby, which, with a single flick of my wrist, they fell. Oops, I thought as the local, oversized predators began to circle around me, both on land and sky. “Oh fuck it,” I said “I’ve been wanting to test my power for a while now,” a dark aura began to surrounded my body. I fired this at the beings above me, knocking them down, I then took to the air, letting the dark aura burst out full power in every direction. This did nothing, so I powered my darkness into my legs and ran, all the whilst thinking ‘WHY MEEEE?!’
After a good twenty minutes, I had outrun most of the beasts, and slain the one that remained. Right then, I could have sworn that I had heard a slightly different version of “Darkness of the Unknown.” A smile began to creep across my face, which then turned into me laughing until I began to choke on the very air. I stood up, and took the meat of the one I had defeated, and used a dark passageway to get back back to my cave system… thing. Upon arrival, I hastily lit a fire, and began to cook the strange animal that had attacked me, I muttered to myself a small chant while I cooked the food, it went as such: “More heat! More heat! Tender, juicy, roast meat! Watch the fun, until it’s done!” (Yes, I just plagiarized Deltora Quest :P).
The meat of those creatures I soon discovered were more like that of a fish than most creatures of the land, both in texture, and smell, the taste, however, was similar to a combination of shrimp and beef. What I did not roast to eat in one meal, I dried into jerky, and as I was packing the meat away, I noticed something.
Odd, there seems to be a lump in the back of my pants, I thought, as I tore a hole in the uppermost part of my leggings. And I saw it, a small, thin tail, with the same white skin, and a puff of black hair at the end. I had now become a monster out of my own worst nightmares. I began to think aloud, “Hmm… well, as I’m no longer human, I don’t really need my name anymore. I mean, Terrance? I’m surprised my parents gave me that. How about… ‘Vintage Moon’? No, no, I’ll just shorten my normal name; I mean ‘Terra’ sounds a little demonic, doesn’t it?” I said to myself, followed by memories of my families “Untimely deaths,” and I felt sadness wash over me, I sat down, and did something I hadn’t done in weeks: I cried my heart out.
A few hours later, the last of the meat was done, the fire was out, and I was bored. I had modified this place to keep anything from getting in, other than enough light to see, which wasn’t much. I decided to visit those of Ponyville, after all, those whom I met before are probably wondering where I went anyway, it would be better if they didn’t worry. About me, I opened a path of darkness, and stepped through.

When I exited the darkness, I was above the Everfree forest, surprisingly the same point I landed at before, and I spread my wings and flew towards the edge of the forest closest to the town, not wanting to cause a large problem, I decided it would be best to speak with one of them that I know, and opened a portal to Fluttershy’s cottage.

The pathways were really starting to get to me by this point, as I rushed through them as fast as I could; not wanting to spend too long, or else I might never leave, the darkness dissipates whatever goes through it, in simpler terms: darkness make other thing darkness. On the other side, I ran out, wings tucked against my body, I was still wearing the jeans I had brought, but my shirt was destroyed, so I left it in the cave. Not wanting to scare Fluttershy, which is a task within itself, I decided to give myself a small injury… on the head… with a large, heavy sledgehammer made of my darkness. Upon falling on her door step, I blacked out from the pain of both my new wound and the spot where I slammed into the door being the same. My last thoughts being ‘Why the hell do I do this to myself?’
Yup, DiE stand for DEMON in Equestria. It will be getting a bit… Hectic now, with my schedule, so now updates to this story are going to be rather random, just a small warning to you. Also sorry for the delay, I was out of ideas for a couple of days. MaDmAN12435/Cloud Nova Dropping out!
