Chapter 4
When I woke up, I was surrounded by what seemed to be darkness, a flowing, semisolid darkness. I remembered I had just discovered I could make passageways of darkness, I collapsed and… I fell in one. I then got an idea, I had always wanted to meet one of the OCs I had created, of course, if they knew that I created them, that may cause a paradox, so I decided that if I do succeed at this, I will not reveal myself. I thought of my OC, Cloud Nova, of the kingdom of Haven. If my memory of the world map I saw was correct, then haven was southeast of Equestria, but first, I had to find a way to walk on clouds. Then, I got an idea, and created an exit portal to a town north of Ib’Xain, called Ovisica. The darkness began to take shape, and I walked out of the abyss.

My eyes took a moment to get used to the small amount of light that was left of the day, as it was what seemed to be sunset, unless the sun rises in the west here that is, I haven’t really paid any attention to that. I then found a dark alleyway, this made me smile, as I finally found a good amount of darkness, I walked into the ally, and began to condense the dark energy into a small, compact disk, which I could move with my mind, and reshape with ease. I modified the shape to that of a Jak II hover board, with spots to hold the foot in place, and tried it out Due to it being controlled with my mind, it wasn’t a hover board, just looked like one, it was able to float at any height, and move well over the Jak 3 jet boards “turbo” mode. I stepped onto it, it was solid, I made it rise a few feet, and moved out of the ally. By this time, the sun had set, and therefore, darkness was able to move out and about with ease, making this the perfect time to test the true extent of my power. I began to create small “dark thrusters” (think the iron man thrusters, but pitch black, and looking like a liquid) around both of my arms and legs, as I changed my hover board back to its basic size, and began to fly using my dark thrusters. Within a few seconds I could not even see the town I appeared in, I pushed my dark thrusters to maximum power, and could see forests and mountains pass under me in an instant, I stopped right before reaching what i believed I believed was Prance. I then created another dark passageway, like the one I accidentally used in Fluttershy’s cottage. I set the other end to be 400 feet above Ponyville. I sped through at amazing speeds, and a phrase came to mind: “light believes it is the fastest thing around, this is not true, ‘for wherever light goes, darkness shall be there first’.”

Upon exiting the passage of darkness, I felt a bit, rejuvenated, I felt rather relaxed there, I then aimed all my dark thrusters straight up, and shot up at a speed beyond that of light, within a few seconds, I had reached the highest I could go without feeling too weak from oxygen shortage, and turned off my thrusters, replacing them with large, bat like wings (obviously also made of the darkness).
The feeling of the wind in my ‘wings’ was amazing, I had a new respect for the hang gliders of my world, I now knew why they do it: the wind in your face, and the adrenaline, I felt so much pumping through my veins that I started to bleed darkness from within myself! I pulled in my wings, and went into a plummet toward the ground, the darkness began to form around my face, forming a mask/helmet of some sort, I could see through it, I saw the darkness forming an armor of some sort all over my body, the wind was thin enough that could let it through the helmet and chest area of my armor. A second before I hit the ground, I extended my wings to their maximum length, and pulled up, landing on top of a tree, the sun was rising. My darkness was weaker due to the sun above, so I couldn’t do that again until the day was over again I guess.
I dismissed my shadow armor and wings, and pulled out my “Dark Board,” which, due to my lowered powers, was basically just the turbo jet board from Jak 3. I strapped my feet in, and jumped off of the tree, landing smoothly, and sped down the road, hoping to see as much as I could of the world.
After a few hours, I realized something important: the map I saw and so often used in fanfics was inaccurate, very, VERY inaccurate, by going south, I managed to find a border between Equestria and another country, even though my map said that the southern border of Equestria was at the ocean shore. Obviously, the map I used was outdated a few million years. Oh well, I thought, at least I found something new. And sped towards what I saw: a forest, a dense, thick forest, filled with raw darkness, not just simple shadows, in there, I would be able to use my full power.
-_Mysterious forest_-
(Yes, that’s right; I’m not even going to name this! And what are YOU going to do about it? ... actually, don’t answer that, I don’t want to know.)
The forest was amazing, as soon as I entered, I shrunk back to normal size my dark board, created claws and long fall boots out of darkness, and began to climb up the mighty trees that surrounded me, I was shocked at how well I had adapted to this worlds environment, it was perfect, it was-
*SCREEEECH!*
-…dangerous. A large claw just now raked the part of the tree where I was about to move to, and it left a rather large gash in the wood. This made me realize: this world was very, very violent when you consider the sheer power the beasts that are here, I mean, fully grown dragons that will kill for a small bruise, hydras that try to eat you alive (both things from the show there), and now, a freaking pterodactyl, which could tear through me inthalf a second with no trouble. … Well, I thought, I guess that means it’s time to find shelter. I then proceeded with a good drop to the ground, donned my armor of darkness and a blade, and searched for a good cave to convert into a home.
Yeah, sorry for making my chapters so short, it’s just I have a short attention span and… this is all I could make in a single sitting. Next chapter, the meaning of DiE is going to be revealed I think, although I may decide against that.
