It was yet another morning in great capitol of Equestria, moon was already lowering itself leaving his spot on the sky for his older brother, however Sun wasn’t raising yet because his Princess was still asleep in her bedchambers.

Princess Celestia yawned and slowly opened her eyelids, she smiled as her eyes laid on her enemy from the past whom now she calls lover.

Discord was far from waking up, he was snoring loudly as Celestia slowly stand up and stretched herself. She left her royal bed and proceeded with raising of her loyal Sun.

Soon enough it’s glorious light was shining upon Equestria, indicating the beginning of the day quite a marvelous sight.

After her duty was done Celestia calmly walked towards her royal bathroom where her servants already prepared a warm and relaxing bath.

And even though water was indeed relaxing and nothing bad happened yet, Celestia’s smile soon disappeared as she once again started to ponder about her sister.

She didn’t believe her husband, but if why wasn’t he telling the truth? Did Luna ask him to keep it a secret from her?

These thoughts and many others rampaged through mind of Sun Princess, at the same time her loving draconequus silently left their bedroom and disappeared, he had a very important guest who will soon arrive at Canterlot train station.

Celestia sighed and stood up, ready for another day of ruling her country and making sure her subjects are safe, however this day wasn’t like any other day, she still couldn’t stop thinking about her sister.

Especially after what she heard in the gardens the night before.

Few hours earlier, almost midnight.

Princess Celestia trotted through regal hallways of Canterlot Castle towards her favorite place in the castle, the kitchen.

She couldn’t sleep too well tonight, she wasn’t sure why but she decided to have a slice of cake, it always helps to calm her nerves.

As she was trotting trying to conceal her yawing suddenly she saw something unusual, two ponies from night guard where having a friendly conversation while on duty.

This scene was unusual cause of their captain, Riddick who was known for his rigor.

“No bucking hell dude, he really did that?”

“Well that’s what everypony is saying, he straight out asked our Princess on the date.”

And suddenly the subject of their conversation became very interesting for the sun Princess, who quickly used a simple hearing-enhancing spell on herself.

“Why would he even do that? I mean if this isn’t just rumor this will be quite a thing, I mean a guard on a date with one of two rulers of the whole Equestria.”

“Yeah I know, by the way if this isn’t just a rumor why do you think she agreed to go with him?”

“Who knows, she was on the moon for so long maybe she missed, you know.”

“A Roll in the Hay?”

“Yeah.”

For few moments silence fell upon them, Celestia was now even more confused, she also wasn’t sure how should she react to a roll in the hay remark because she actually wasn’t sure for herself if they aren’t right in this case.

“Sooo, our Princess of the Night wants to bang him?”

“What a lucky bastard, I mean imagine those flanks riding on your…”

‘Okay I heard enough.’ Celestia thought and showed herself to the two unlucky guards who immediately froze with expression full of surprise and fear.

“G-Good Night P-Princess Celestia, how can we help you tonight?”

“Oh your help won’t be necessary, however from what I remember captain Riddick clearly stated that you are not supposed to distract yourself with talking while on guard duty.”

“Y-Yes your majesty.” Both bat ponies answered.

“So mark my words, If I hear you two blabbering again I’ll make sure captain Riddick will take good care of you, understood?”

Night guards nodded as they were too scared to answer with voice.

Celestia sighed and left the scene with an angry scowl on her muzzle which soon changed into confused frown Is Luna really thinking about courting somepony and she didn’t tell me? No that’s is impossible she would definitely tell me…

Princess of the sun walked slowly towards the kitchen as her hesitation was growing in her with each step, as she finally made it to the fridge and took a slice of her favorite chocolate cake.

Slowly munching on her snack she now didn’t understand anything, was her sister really going a date? If yes then with whom, when, where and the most importantly, why didn’t she tell her?

Celestia finished her midnight cake and with these thoughts drifting through her sleepy mind she laid down next to her lover who quickly embraced her in a warm hug, as if he knew she needed one right now.

Celestia sighed quietly and nuzzled neck of her sleeping husband, soon enough sleep came over her and she drifted away into the land of dreams.

And here she was, in the dining room of her castle, eating her breakfast and pondering about her sister.

‘ Ohh what the hay, Luna is my sister but she’s not a kid anymore, if she really wants to start dating somepony and not tell me that’s her decision, I shouldn’t do anything about it.’

“…”

’Well maybe I should send somepony to look after her, just in case. But who? Somepony from my guard? Well they will probably go out at night and I want him to be in good condition, I guess I’ll have to send one of night guards after all.’

Same day, 8:45 p.m

Supernova trotted nervously back and forth in the hallway of Canterlot Castle, in fifteen minutes from now he was supposed to pick up his date, Princess of the Night herself.

When he asked her out few days ago he was very confident and sure of himself, he doesn’t know if this was because of adrenaline, or because he thought she will decline his offer anyway.

But as the time passed he was starting to realize what was going on, and right now just before the date he felt like passing out.

‘ Come on Supernova! You’ll be fine, right she’s just like any other mare, except she’s a Princess, and she’s more beautiful and hot than every other mare you saw before, and she’s an Alicorn…

No! I can do it, I will manage to do it all on my own.’

“Hey Nova! Wassup!”

“Oh god Void! I’m so glad you’re here I think I’m going to fucking faint.” Supernova almost shouted embracing his comrade in a friendly hug.

“Yeaaahh sure.”

“But what’re you doing here? Aren’t you supposed to, oh I don’t know guard something like right now?”

“Well funny story you see, I’m coming with you.”

Supernova cocked his eyebrow “You do?”

“Yeah man, you’re born under some lucky star, Princess Sun Butt came to me earlier today and ordered me to look after Princess Luna tonight, she didn’t tell my why though.”

“So you’re telling me that Princess Celestia knows I’m going on a date with her sister? How the hell was I born under lucky star!”

“Well she asked me to look after her, if it was somepony else that would be bad, excluding Adamant Sky and Dashing Star of course.”

Nova sighed “I guess.”

Void chuckled and patted his friend on his back “Hey don’t worry it’s just one date after all, you should at least try to have fun.”

“Well…”

“Come on! You probably won’t get any chance to go on a date with her ever again, you should make tonight memorable.”

Nova smiled slightly as his friends words took small part of his nervousness away, only small part though.

“Thanks man, that helped.”

“You’re also lucky you got friends like us, by the was what time is it?”

Supernova turned his head towards huge clock on the hallway wall.

“It is 8:52, almost the time.”

“Well then, better don’t be late.” Void said with a smirk and Nova nodded, they started walking towards Luna bedchambers, Nova becoming more and more scared with each step while Void was having more and more fun with each step.

They arrived at the door, they didn’t have any clock around this time but it was maybe a minute or two before 9 p.m.

Nova gulped and raised his hoof in the air ’All right then, here we go.’ and his hoof fell on the door knocking a few times.

After what felt like hours for Supernova they finally heard a smooth voice of their Princess coming from the doors.

“I’ll be out in the minute!”

And just with that Void quickly turned around and caught his friend who almost fell on the floor, his legs giving up on him.

Void chuckled. ‘Oh boyyy, this will truly be a memorable night.’
