"Dude get a hold of yourself.” Void stated trying to get Supernova off the floor.

“J-Just give me a second.”

Suddenly their ears perked up upon hearing the sound of opening doors “I don’t think you have any seconds left, now get your flank up.” Supernova nodded and stood up still shaking nervously a bit as Lunar Princess stepped out of her room.

“Good night dear Supernova, I am sorry but I truly didn’t know what to wear since you never told me where are we going.” Luna stood in front of them without her royal regalia wearing only her diamond horseshoes and an onyx necklace with a dark-blue sapphire shaped as a crescent in it.

She looked very, causal to say the least, Nova’s nervousness was removed for a moment replaced by a admiration for her beauty.

“S-Supernova? Are you all right?” Luna asked a bit concerned as Supernova could do nothing else than stare with wide eyes, like stone statue standing before her.

“Don’t worry about him Princess, he’ll be back in few moments.”

Luna flinched and finally noticed Void Night standing near her date.

“T-That’s great, but who are you?”

Void bowed in respect “My name is Void Night your majesty, I am one of your loyal soldiers from the night guard.”

“And you’re here because?”

“Princes Sun-B… I mean Princess Celestia ordered me to watch over you tonight and report to her about everything tomorrow.”

Luna cocked her eyebrow in utter confusion “So she wanted you to look over me and tell me about this?”

“No I was supposed to do it in secret.”

“Then…”

“But my loyalty belongs only to you your highness.”

Luna stood there for a second before smirking “I’m very glad to hear that, very well then if our.. mine sister wants to spy on me then we will let her.”

“What do you want me to do?”

“Tell my sister this.” Luna said and lowered her head in order to whisper something into his ear Void cocked his eyebrow in confusion.

“Trust me, this will be priceless.” Luna said with a smirk.

“Of course, I will do as you say your high..”

“…utiful.”

They both turned their heads and saw Nova shaking his head.

“Oh look who woke up.” Void commented.

Nova only gave him a quick glance before turning his attention to Luna, which in turn made all of his fear come back.

“G-Goodnight P-Princes Lu…”

Luna chuckled cutting him off “Oh dear Supernova, we are going on a date right? Just call me Luna.”

Nova gulped and smiled dumbly “O-Ok L-Luna, then we better get going r-right?”

Princess of the night nodded and all three of them took off.

“Void?” Nova asked.

“Yeah?”

“I thought you’re not going to spy on us?”

“I won’t, but since I got a free night I thought it might be a good idea to hang out with my friend I told you about before.”

“This DJ-mare?”

“Her name’s Vinyl and yeah.”

“So we’re going to the same place after all.”

“Ohh so we’re going to a club?” Luna asked smiling.

“Oh yes, right…. Aaaand I just screwed the surprise, great as if me being more nervous than that one day in elementary school when my parents made me play in the school play was bad enough..”

“That’s great I always wanted to try it but for some reason in the end I never did.”

“R-Really?” Nova asked his hopes building up.

“Of course! So to which club are we going?”

“Well I’ll let that one be a surprise, but first we are going to have few drinks in a bar that’s just around the corner.”

“Why?”

Nova stopped and flinched Why?! What am I supposed to tell her, that I don’t have enough money to buy more than a few drinks in a club?”Well that’s, because….”

“That’s because Nova thought it will be cool, romantic thing before going to a rather noisy club.” Void stated blankly.

Nova’s eyes went wide as she smiled sheepishly Void I swear one of these days I will…

“Ohh that’s a great planning.”

From that point on their journey went on with small chatting, it was long before they made it to the “Shazam Bar” were they parted with Void and walked inside.

Nova picked a place and ordered two “Blue Lagoons” as this was the only drink he knew.

Supernova took their glasses and sat down on his seat in front of his date, Luna who was smiling with excitement the whole time, a sight that made Nova’s heart beat faster.

“Y-You look very excited.” Nova commented and took small sip of his blue drink Not bad I’ll say, but nothing beats Pilsners.

“Well of course I am! You said it yourself, that I’m not going out too much.”

“Ohh seems I did, haha…Oh my god, I am on a date with a Princess, what the hell is wrong with me? I mean it is a big deal but I’m feeling like I’m about to faint and….”

“Supernova.”

Nova’s flow of thoughts was interrupted by Luna’s soothing voice, he brought his attention back to her.

And immediately froze seeing her expression full of concern.

“Supernova, am I… am I doing something wrong? Up till now I had fun but you seemed to be troubled with something all the time, is it because of me?”

“No! Of course not…. Okay yes, yes it is.”

Nova sighed.

“The thing is, I-I am extremely scared and nervous, to be honest I wasn’t on many dates in my life and now I’m on a date with, well you the Princess herself.”

Luna’s expressions showed nothing for a moment before turning into a huge grin “So you’re troubled by that?”

Nova nodded in embarrassment.

“Well then, I think I have an idea that might help.”

Luna said and her horn started to glow with dim blue light, for a few seconds nothing happened “Close your eyes.” She said.

Nova did as he was told, after few seconds she tapped him slightly on the shoulder, Nova slowly opened his eyelids before his expression changed into pure shock.

Cause the mare in front of him was no longer Luna, Princess of the night, before him sat a mare with blue fur and long dark mane stylized similar to her original form and even thought there were some similarities to her alicorn form, right now before him was sitting a stunning unicorn mare.

“Better?”

Nova nodded dumbly and shook his head “What was that? Transformation spell?”

This time it was Luna who shook her head “No, it’s an illusion, I placed it upon me before so that everypony other than you was only able to see me in this form. After all a Princess spending time on a date in town with one of her guards would make a great story for press.”

Nova chuckled already feeling that small portion of his previous nervousness flew away before a certain thought kicked in front of his head.

“Wait a moment, then was Void able to see you as well?”

“Ohh that, umm you see when placing that spell I had to imagine a pony that was going to be able to see my real form, and since we saw each other for only a couple times before, I well….”

Nova cocked one of his eyebrows.

“Well you two do have a similar shade of fur.” Luna said a bit irritated puffing her cheeks, Nova stifled his laughter, it was only a small change of appearance through magic, and yet he already felt like he was on a date with a normal mare, a normal causal pony just like him.

Nova picked up his glass and lifted it high in the air “Well then Luna, let’s have a toast for our date.”

Luna smiled, it has been ages since she was able to just casually talk with somepony else then her sister, well and Discord recently, and finally here she was, on a date with a plain night guard feeling excited like a small filly.

She lifted her glass in the air and they both half-shouted.

“Cheers!”
