The citizens of Ponyville all stared toward Canterlot as a massive explosion erupted from the side of the mountain it was attached to. They could see several lines of light and a single rainbow trail moving quickly through the sky, once they met they would let out a loud boom and shock wave before bouncing back from one another, heading outward in an arch before connecting once more to repeat the explosion time and time again. After a minute of this they collided with one of the towers causing it to crumble down the mountainside. One of the streaks of light came out of the rubble first as it streaked across the sky, Within a few seconds the rainbow streak busted from the bottom of the mountain as it followed quickly after it.

The citizens watched silently as they prayed to Celestia that this event would end quickly, with their world still intact.

A few minutes

The two parties made it across the room in the blink of an eye. Midnight and Celestia having stayed put as their horns glowed brightly to cast many spells at once onto each of the element bearers. Discord at the Elements side as his fist connected with Steel's face sending him flying backwards at an alarming speed, crashing through many walls and into the side of the mountain. He quickly bolted after the pony just before there was a flash of light and Midnight disappeared, reappearing onto Rainbow Dash as a set of armor, and she connecting with screwball, quickly bucking her left and right before they both reared back with their right fore hooves and let them fly, connecting with each other across the cheek and making them fly backwards out of the castle through a window each.

The others had all been enchanted to keep from being burned alive or frozen to death as they attacked Kindle and Ice at the same time. Their elements helping to protect them but still leaving them vulnerable to physical harm. After a couple of minutes of fighting they had managed to separate the two elemental ponies and making them follow a split group of the elements into different directions.

In the skies above Canterlot, Midnight Dash was colliding with screwball, each landing a blow or blocking the other. Cracks of thunder erupted from each intense hit as they arched backwards and then back to each other before another brutal collision occurred.

"I'm going to end this quickly, and then I'm going to go after your precious little home town." Screwball shouted as she headed back toward the combined two, manifesting her giant mallet before they could react and slamming it into them. The combined ponies hurtled backward into one of the towers hanging over Canterlot, causing it to crumbled onto them.

After a few seconds Dash opened her eyes giving a cough from the dust as she looked around her to see the rubble being pushed back by a glowing shield surrounding her.

"Thanks Night." She said as she pushed some power from her element into the Alicorn armor.

"Thank me when we kill that little bitch." He spoke out as the shield erupted outward, flinging anything within twenty yards into every direction. The two bolting into the sky and breaking the sound barrier in less than two seconds as they flew after Screwball with the determination to save the world.

Back in Canterlot, Rarity, Pinkie Pie, Fluttery, and Celestia had gone after Kindle, while Twilight, Applejack, and Luna went after Ice. Discord was still fighting Steel who seemed to be taking no damage at all as the two erupted from the other side of the mountain in a hail of flying stones and smoke. Discord grabbed Steel by his rear hooves and spun around as quickly as he could causing the wind to slowly pick up into a vortex around him. After a few more seconds Discord released his grip as he flung the pony downward into the ground causing it to form a huge crater. He flew down toward the impact sight just as the dust was beginning to settle. Just before he he was about to land he saw a glow and quickly teleported to the other side of the crater as several large metal spikes went through the spot he had been in. The spikes continued onward giving out a loud SHING when they hit either rock or other debris.

"You don't think I'm going to be that easy to kill do you God of Chaos?" Steel shouted as he looked around to try and find the draconequus.

"Oh no, I plan on having some fun with you, it has been eons since I last had a fight like this. So don't worry, I will let you live long enough to regret having turned against this world." Discord chuckled from all around the elemental pony.

"Shut up! I already regret it! Your daughter is insane for making me think we could have won this fight again not on you, but three Alicorn's? How in Tartarus did she think it would be possible?" Steel shouted as he continued to look around himself for the draconequus.

"Wait, so then why are you going along with her plans?" Discord asked as his voice trailed off around Steel.

"Because she can kill me faster than you could, that is for sure." He spoke out but stopped as he was gasping for air. Discord appearing in front of him giving a smirk at the pony as he fell over holding onto his throat. He looked up to Discord with pleading eyes. before he finally took a lung full of precious oxygen. Coughing loudly as he panted.

Discord bent down as he glared at the Steel pony. "I can end this fight quicker than you might think idiot, but it isn't in my nature to kill others. But that doesn't stop me from beating them almost to death." He snarled as the pony backed up from him. Fear evident in his eyes. "Screwball has only a fraction of my power, I was released and given free reign with my full power. The last time I fought Midnight's evil counterpart, he turned me to stone because I had near a tenth of my power. Now I can wipe out all life as we know it."

"Then what is stopping you from doing that?" Steel coughed one final time as he glared at Discord.

"I told you, I cannot kill. Sure I can beat you almost to death, that would be very chaotic. But I cannot take a life because I was never supposed to create it." He sighed.

"But Screwball is your daughter isn't she? That means you had to have at least....." He was quickly interupted byt Discord.

"AH! Don't say it. I never created her through that method. I used magic, and she was the result of it. She can freely take life unlike myself. However that doesn't make it right, and looks bad on me." He groaned throwing his arms up in the air.

"How can death make the God of Chaos look worse than what he already is?" Steel asked giving a cocky smirk.

"Because I am forbidden to take life. As a God I am bound by my word upon creation. I can cause chaos to no extent which can in the end cause the loss of life. Chaos and Strife leading to possible death. But I am strictly forbidden from taking a life without using those methods. Which means I am only going to beat you almost to death." He said before charging the elemental pony.

"WAIT!" Steel yelled as he pulled his hooves up to protect himself from the impact that never came. He opened his eyes and slowly lowered his hooves to see just how close a bear paw with claws fully extended were from his head.

"You had better have a good reason for asking me to stop." Discord snarled as he jumped back twenty feet.

"Listen, if you can keep me safe from Screwball, I'll give up. As much as I would love to win this fight and have control over my own nation. It isn't worth all of the grief and death. Just, keep me safe from her." He pleaded only to cause the draconequus to glare at him while thinking.

"Fine, your coming with me then to take care of the other elemental ponies." Discord stated flatly as he teleported Steel and himself into the castle where the others were battling the other elementals.

*Flash*

"CRAAAAAAAAAAaaaaaaaaaaaaap!" *BAM*

Discord appeared into the castle just as Applejack whizzed by backwards before crashing through a wall. The draconequus looked to the Steel pony just before taking a huge spike of ice in the gut. He growled out as he waved a paw over the area making the spike disappear and the wound magically heal itself. He raised another paw forward deflecting several other shards of ice as the crystal looking elemental pony. Walking along and making the ground freeze beneath her upon each step.

Just as Discord raised his hand to fling a fireball at the elemental pony, Applejack rushed by with the sound of a full stampede of buffalo as she made contact with the pony. Sending her flying backwards through another wall.

"Discord? Did you take care of the other one?" Shouted Twilight as she glanced to see him walking toward her and Luna as their horns began to glow brightly to help Applejack in fighting Ice.

"The other one has decided to help us by not fighting. All he wants is to survive and to return to normal." Discord stated as he walked up next to the duo as they released their magic onto Applejack to help her battle Ice. She sending the Ice pony into the air with a powerful buck before she came back down into another hard buck sending a loud cracking sound through the palace as the ice ponies frame cracked under the pressure of the buck.

"Why has he decided to just now to do this?" Luna asked.

"Because I would rather live to regret what I have already done than for that crazy bitch to destroy this entire world." Steel spoke up as he stopped next to Discord.

"Very well then. We shall aid you as long as you aid us. Now tell us how to defeat these beings." Luna shouted as she deflected several ice shards with her magic.

"You have to fight the elements with an element." He shouted just before his horn lit up to deflect a large ice shard that was heading toward Discord.

"Heat! We need some serious heat!" Twilight shouted as Luna deflected yet another ice shard as it shattered against their shields.

"I don't have any heat spells memorized Twilight. That is Tia's specialty." Luna shouted as she flared her wings out before wrapping her forelegs around Twilight and jumping into the air to avoid an ice comet that plowed through the position that they had just been occupying.

"Discord!" Twilight shouted to him.

"I know! I know! Get Tia!" He shouted back as he snapped his talons making Steel and himself disappear into thin air, leaving the girls to continue fighting the element of ice.
