Chapter Nine:

Lost and Damned

“Princess Celestia!”

“What is it Scroll Maker?”

“I have some bad news”

“What is more worse then being on the loosing side of a war?”

“Um...uh...Well we have lost contact with Bravo.”

“All of the units of Bravo? Gone?!”

“In the blink of an eye. Papa 3 is now reported gone not long after Bravo.”

“Send some choppers to investigate!”

“I'm already ahead of you. I've dispersed 3 choppers to the last known location of Bravo and Papa 3.”

“Thank goodness I have a good informant like you Scroll.”

“I'm just glad to be here and do my job Princess. Do you request anything else before I leave?”

“That will be I mean can you just keep informing me”

“I'm going to sleep then. Can you pass me the blanket?”

“Umm...Axe...I only have one blanket and I'm really cold. I was wondering if we could share the blanket for tonight.”

“Uhh...sure Spark.”

Spark walked slowly to him and laid down next to him under the small blanket.

Spark yawned and rested her head on Axe's chest.

Axe was surprised of her confusing action.

What could've motivated her to rest her head on my chest? Does she love me?

Axe let it slide without question and let her rest his head on his chest since Spark probably isn't aware of what she is doing. Axe did feel more comfortable with her resting her head on his chest and he felt more warm in a very cold night.

Just then, Axe heard a tiny buzzing in the distance. He lifted his head to see if he could hear the sound more better but did it enough not to disturb Spark. The sound was getting louder and the sound changed to something chopping the wind.

Axe had no idea what it was and gently pushed against Spark and she opened her eyes very slowly.

“Spark. Spark Wake up do you hear that?”

“Whaat?”

“We're saved Spark We're sav..wait... why aren't they...landing?”

Spark got up and looked into the dark sky.

“They can't see us! GOD DAMN FUCKING BITCH! Look down here you son of a bitch!”

Three helicopters flew over them fast towards the direction where Spark was and Axe were ambushed with Bravo.

“No! NO NO NO NO NOOOOOOOOO! YOU! CANT! DO THIS!,” yelled Spark angrily and tiredly at the dark sky.

“Spark! Spark! They aren't coming back. They're gone.”

“No!”

Spark dropped to her knees and started crying. Axe sat down next to her and put his leg around her.

Axe leaned closer to her and whispered into her ear “It's going to be fine Spark. We can make it without their help. Please Spark, don't cry, don't give up. I...rely on you to make it out alive. Without you, I'll die.”

Spark calmed down a little and was still looking at the ground where her tears made a puddle of water. She looked at him with a smile on her face but still a couple tears pouring down her face from her eyes.

“You really believe in me that way?”

“I do”

Spark quickly hugged him and held him there. Axe put his legs around her body because he liked her. They hugged each other for about a good 5 minutes until Spark let go of him.

Axe walked towards the blanket and Spark followed him. They got under the blanket but something surprised Axe.

“Axe?”

“Yeah?”

“I want a pillow because my head is cold, can I rest my head on you?”

“Umm...sure I guess.”

Spark put the side of her face on Axe's chest and she rubbed her face against his chest a couple times and Spark fell asleep comfortably.

Axe was still confused about Spark's feelings and never seen her like this. He was too tired to think anymore and dozed off warm for the first time in the forest.
