Chapter Eleven:

No Easy Day

The two ponies took half of the whole day getting to the river and it looked which seemed to be very wide to cross but there were ice in the river but were all detached and floating around.

“So Spark. How do suppose we can cross the river?,” asked Axe to Spark.

“We're going to jump on the ice to get across.”

“The ice is thin it can break once our weight is on it.”

“Thats why we have to be quick and run.”

“I cant do this I'm going to drown.”

“Don't speak like that your not going to drown.”

“Well if I fall in I'll drown, I don't know how to swim.”

“Well if you do I'm going after you and I'll get you out before you could blink.”

“Well thanks for the motivation.”

“You are welcome now let me see. Follow what I do, I'll see you on the other side.”

Spark quickly jumped onto some floating ice and then the next and etc.

Axe saw her quickly jump on each piece of floating ice like it was nothing and she didn't even slip and fall. Before he knew it, Spark was on the other side of the river waving at him and yelling “Come on, don't be scared, you're going to be fine, you can do this!”

“Axe could barely even hear any word she was yelling at him and they went over his head and he kept on staring at the -3 degree water. He looked back up and saw Spark that was nodding at him.

He was scared and clueless of how to get to the other side of the river with out slipping into the water but he was also determined to get across and that was all he needed to motivate him to do it.

He jumped onto some pieces of floating ice and and then jumped onto another but was very slow to do it compared to how fast Spark did. Axe got to the middle of the river and it took him as long Spark took to get all the way to the other side of the river.

In a hour, it was going to be sundown because of daylight savings time. Axe kept on jumping to get another piece of floating ice but he was getting tired and was running out of breath but Spark kept on yelling at him to not stop.

He finally got to the last piece of ice and he collapsed onto the ground in front of Spark almost out of breath. He was panting, sweating, and very thirsty.

“You did it Axe! You made it across! I knew that you could do it!”

“I....water...food...tired...sleep...hungry...thirsty”

“Follow me, there's a surprise for you.”

“A surprise? What could you possibly find in the middle of nowhere?”

“Oh just a log cabin with a bathroom, bed room, and a kitchen.”

“What?” This...this...this...I don't know....this is just...yeah no comment.”

“We finally got somewhere comfortable to rest.”

“You don't know how much I love you right now.”

Spark giggled at that and walked towards the log cabin and said “Come on I'll show you inside”

Axe followed her to the front door and she opened it using her magic. When she did, the smell from the logged walls traveled out the door and into Axe's nose.

“Wow...I never smelled this type of wood before.”

“Oh it isn't, its just the candles that I lit. It smells good doesn't it?”

“Hope nopony is using this,” he said as he took a bottle of grape juice and started drinking like he never did before.

“Well I figured that we'd just stay here for the night. I'm not passing up an opportunity to sleep warm and comfortable in a house.”

“I wouldn't either.”

“I made you a turkey sandwich. It's on the table over there.”

“Thank you so much Spark. I don't know what I would've done with out you.”

Spark started getting blushed and she walked into another room and he smiled at her and began to eat his sandwich.

After he ate his sandwich, he looked up and saw steam coming from underneath the door where Spark went into. The door opened and out came all of the stream and behind the steam was a shadowed figure of a female pony.

Spark slowly walked out with a smile on her face and she had a robe on. She  swung her mane back and then back in place.

Axe stared at her with his jaw dropped almost touching the table.

Damn she is hot! She gets more attractive every time I see her. What am I thinking, I don't love her. I cant I wont I don't!

Axe fixed his emotions back to the way they were and Spark came and sat at the table.

“You can take your bath now, I'm all done,” Spark said with a grin.

“Um...uh...ok then.”

Axe got up and walked toward the bathroom but he couldn't keep his eyes off Spark until he shut the door.

“Yup, it's official, I am a really attracted to...Spark,” whispered Axe to himself.

Axe took a bath and then dried himself. He walked out of the bathroom with the first thing he saw was Spark sitting on an old couch with stains and cotton balls falling out of it.

Axe sat down next to Spark without leaving his eyes off her.

“So uh..I'll sleep here for the night and you can sleep in the bed in the other room I guess.”

“Now wait a minute Axe. It wouldn't be fair for me to sleep on a comfy bed while you sleep on...that would it?”

“But aren't you married?”

“Last time I checked I was never married. What about you?”

“No.”

“So then wouldn't it be better for the both of us to get a perfect night sleep?”

“I guess so.”

“So come on then.”

“Um...ok...if you say so.”

Spark giggled and then she said “I say so.”

Spark rushed into the bedroom and jumped into the bed while Axe just slowly followed her to the bed.

He slowly got into the bed and he was facing opposite of Spark. Spark was facing towards him and she hugged him with her front two legs.

“Uhhh, what are you doing?,” asked Axe as her pushed her legs off around him and turned to see Spark.

“I was...hugging you. Why?,” replied Spark with another question.

“Spark, I think now is the time for that question I wanted to ask you earlier. I think but I'm not sure. Do you...love me?,” asked Axe.

“I...think I do. Is there a problem?,” asked Spark.

“No it's just that, you haven't acted like this towards me before. Why now, I mean I'm not married and I want to settle down and get the love of my dreams but, I don't understand why you would want to love me,” said Axe.

“I just want...somepony...you I like you, I really like you. I think that you are cute, funny, and handsome. I really do think this about you and nothing is going to make me think otherwise about you,” replied Spark.

“Thank you for telling me this otherwise I would've been confused about who you really are and why you act like this towards me. I would've gone insane without knowing that. But anyway, I kind of feel the same way about you it's just, we really never actually had the time and I'm not that brave to ask girls out,” said Axe.

“Well you're lucky that I...showed my actions to like you,” said Spark.

“I guess I am,” replied Axe.

Axe flipped over and slowly closed his eyes and Spark again, rapped her legs around him.
