Chapter 10: Chaos and Revenge

 

The heroes are flown back to a part of Equestria. Megan in concern spoke up, "In order to finish up the Discord Staff, we must meet him; But where?"

"He should be in this area somewhere...but where's Lordcan?" Luna asks in sadness and worry. "We haven't seen him since Spike's death."

"I'm sure Lorcan is doing okay...I hope." Nyx said in concern. So far, Lorcan has yet to return. Where could he be?

Soon everyone lands on the ground. Megan got off Spitfire as the non-flyers got off Rainbow and Luna. Spitfire said seriously, "Better get as many allies as you can, Megan. We will need them. I will be back with reinforcements."

"That includes Cadance and her Crystal Ponies, right?" Ben asks Spitfire curiously.

"We will need all the help that we can get to stop Celestia and get our world back." Rainbow said in agreement.

"We'll be okay, don't worry." Golden Heart said to Spitfire with a nod.

"Take heart, until we meet again!" Spitfire exclaims as she then flies off. "I will return, I promise!"

With that, Spitfire leaves, heading off to get some reinforcements and some help. Apple Bloom said, "Well, Ah guess we gotta go."

"Yeah, we still got a lot to do." Alpha Prime said in agreement.

Megan and her friends head off as Mini Devil appears, attacking in the distance. Ben, Rainbow and Megan kill them before the gang jump across the rocks in the lava. They work their way onward then came across some more Mini Devils along with a strange creature.

"A Discord Spawn," Luna said upon seeing the creature. "A creature of Discord, we are getting close."

"There's even two of them!" Rarity exclaims in alarm. Alpha Prime and Golden Heart uses their attacks to kill the Jabberspawns while Megan, Rainbow and Nyx work on the Mini-Devils.

More Mini Devils appears as Megan spots a rage box. The girl mumbles, "May as well get this over with."

Megan grabs the rage box and transforms into her demonic self. Her friends got the hell out of the way as she runs around, destroying the Mini-Devils via slashing and cutting them.

As Megan changes back, two Boojums arrive with Ben remarking, "I will handle these two goons." The stallion flew up around the creatures, causing them to hit one another. Ben then fires a blast at the Boojums, killing them both.

"Nice work, daddy." Nyx cheers on as Ben lands onto the ground.

"I still got it even after my wrongful imprisonment."

Megan's group now heads onto a small lava lake, seeing a lava-proof monster coming out. Scootaloo groans, "Oh man!"

"Well, we can't go that way." Sweetie said with a sigh.

Megan's group continues climbing the path while getting rid of two Mini-Devils. Then they found two Discord Spawns that the Cutie Mark Crusaders got rid of quickly. Soon they climb up the ledge onto the left where the heroes came up.

"I wonder. Once Celestia and the darkness corrupting here is stopped, how will we restored Equestria?" Fred asks Luna curiously.

"I don't know...the Elements of Harmony may be out of the question since one of the holders is dead and two of them are not capable of using theirs." Luna said seriously. "It's a dark day for Equestria indeed."

The group arrives at a cave as a familiar voice spoke from within, "The time for action has arrived. You should not waste a day. No lame excuses fo you contrive, nor tolerate delay."

Twilight appears as Megan frowns while saying, "Whoever is speaking talks like I'm on a holiday or something; wandering about while having a bit of fun."

"Tell me about it, what is up with that guy?" Rainbow asks Megan dryly.

"And yet...something about this guy feels familiar." Alpha Prime said suspiciously; the way that the oracle talks sound familiar.

"Hmmm, I say confront what frightens or offends you." Twilight suggests to Megan with a nod. "Reckless or insulting talk shouldn't go unchallenged."

"You're right..." Ben said as he notices a shadow in the cave. "All right, come out of there!"

Sure enough, a familiar old gnome appears from the shadows, much to the surprise and/or shock of the group. Megan gasps, "You?!"

"Bizarre creature!!" Luna exclaims to the Moochick with a frown. So the gnome was the oracle all this time!

"The Moochick, you were the one talking to us the whole time...while making some bits of insults no less?" Nyx ask the Moochick in disbelief.

"Awww, man; and here, I was starting to like you!" Fred groans in annoyance to the Moochick who sat down on a rock nearby.

"Me too," Ed complains as well. The two Changelings are liking this guy already but now?

"Like me or don't, it doesn't matter. Discord must be eliminated." The Moochick said seriously to Megan's group. "You must now blow open the gates and confront Princess Celestia."

"It won't work." Ben said to the Moochick seriously. "We don't have the final piece of the staff itself."

"Without Discord's eye, how can it be done?" Megan asks the Moochick seriously. After all, the staff needs Discord's eye to be complete.

"That I am not sure, but you must do so." The Moochick explains. "The situation is very urgent indeed!"

"Honestly, what good are you to us anyway?" Rainbow asks the Moochick in frustration.

"I know I'm supposed to attack this ferocious creature but I'm not sure if this is my fight at all." Megan said to the Moochick with a sigh. The girl must fight Discord but now, she is not sure what to do anymore.

"It is ours...but without Pinkie, Applejack and Fluttershy..." Rarity said sadly.

"Megan, it's no one else's but yours." The Moochick corrects Megan. "Only you can save yourself."

"What? Save myself from what? Death; is that it?" Megan asks the Moochick in doubt. "Is that way I'm here? If so, I'm not scared to die! Damn, there are times that I've welcomed death!"

"It's not death."

"What?" The group asks the Moochick, startled by his answer.

"What then? Is there a fate worse than death?" Megan asks the Moochick doubtfully. "I am not stupid; don't make me think you are!"

"Think of what you will but know this: You withdrew from your world after the fire due to the fact that you couldn't bear your terrible loss." The Moochick explains. The gnome is right. Right after the death of Megan's family, she withdrew herself from her world, Equestria, everything. "But once you answered the call of Spike and your friends, then you began to emerge from your tragedy."

Luna smiles as she put a hoof on Megan's shoulder, saying, "The Moochick is correct. You have gone through a lot of us, restoring from you loss. You're recovering from your tragedy and only by saving Equestria will you be fully do so...or close to there anyway."

"Stay on this path, Megan. Save yourself and only then will you and your friends save Equestria and restore us all."

"What I have been feeling...I am understanding now." Megan said with a slow nod. "It was thanks to me that this world broke and only I can repair it."

"Right," Twilight said in agreement.

"Go forth, Megan. Discord awaits you. With your friends, as well as Spitfire, you got a good reason to hope for success." The Moochick said to Megan. "Some of them are the strongest among us."

With that, Twilight disappears as the group heads on forward up the rocks. Once they reached the top, the gang saw a house. Apple Bloom asks in surprise, "What 'de Sam Hill? Is 'dat a house?"

"That must be where Discord is at." Golden Heart said seriously. "He may be waiting for
us all."

Megan and her friends drop down to the ledge below, jumping from rock to the rock until they reach the ground. A Mini Devil appears which Luna kills instantly, remarking, "It appears we get more of these things no matter where the Tartarus we go."

"Come on, we must continue onward." Megan said as the group head off to the right path on the rocks in the lavas while dodging Lava Demons, jumping carefully.

Megan's group reaches the other side where three Discord Spawns are at. Rarity and Golden Heart uses the Ice Wand and Jacks to kill them while Megan got rid of the remaining Mini-Devils. Soon they saw a portal and jumps in.

The group find themselves in a strange building which appears to be a world of chaos. It involves chocolate milk clouds, upside down furniture and the whatnot. They look around in shock and concern.

"What kind of place is this?" Megan asks her friends in concern.

"This is...Discord's home." Ben said seriously. "And that must mean..."

"I'm here, my little ponies! Welcome to my world, especially you Megan!" A voice laughs from out of nowhere. The group saw something appearing in smoke, laughing. It's a creature with a horse-like head, a right deer antler, a left goat horn, a fang, a beard, a lion right arm, an eagle's claw on the left, a lizard right leg, a goat left leg, a bat right wing, a Pegasus left wing, a snake tail and tongue, and different sized pupils. He is called Discord, the Spirit of Chaos and Disharmony.

"Discord," Some of the heroes gasp in shock. Discord smiles wickedly to them all.

"Ah, good to see you again...so to speak; you have all kept me waiting, especially you Megan. What, never heard that punctuality's a virtue?"

"You and my dentist's assistant have so much in common." Megan snaps to Discord as the evil chimera flew around the girl as if taunting her.

"My, my, you are habitually late aren't you?" Discord taunts Megan some more. "Between you silly daydreaming and your preening vanity, the hours fly on by. There's barely time for anything else."

"Is that the best you can do, Discord? Send out second-rate insults? They don't hurt me in the slightest!"

Discord interrupts Megan with a wicked grin while saying, "And the fact that you committed robbery. Tsk, tsk, tsk; Shame on you."

"What do you mean?" Alpha Prime asks Discord with a frown.

"A certain friend of yours wanted so much to kill the one who took his dragon brother...but sadly, that may never happen because you kill Pinkie Pie first."

"You mean Lorcan?" Nyx ask Discord in shock and alarm.

"Discord, if you think on using guilt and such things against us, you are sadly mistaken." Luna snaps to Discord furiously. "We are not going to be effected easily!"

"Don't you want to know here your boyfriend went after his precious brother's demise?" Discord asks Luna with a sly smile.

"Where is he?!"

"Where," A familiar roar is heard, making the group turns to see a ferocious dragon with a scared over one eye, he looks like Lorcan only as an adult in baby dragon form size.

"Is that...Lorcan?" Ed asks a bit startled upon seeing Lorcan like this.

"Oh, my," Rarity begins to gasp in shock. "He looks like what he did as a adult..."

"But still a pipsqueak," Rainbow said in shock and disbelief. Lorcan is even gray and red as if Discord has discorded him. Suddenly the dragon breathes fire at the heroes who dodges it. "Hey!"

"I am not Lorcan anymore and I am not a pipsqueak, I am Roclan, kiddies!" Lorcan, now known as Roclan, snaps in a different voice. He turns to Megan while snapping, "You made me like this when you kill Spike...just like you did your family!"

"What? That's a lie!" Megan protests to Lorcan, getting a bit horrified. The girl is beginning to shiver, her friends saw that she is getting scared. "They were killed in a fire and..."

"Oh yes, they were expecting you all to come to them, right? Perhaps they themselves thought you would warn them of the danger since you were so close to the source as you were. But your family waited in vain, didn't they? They all died for their trouble!"

"I...we were all asleep! It was an accident...I..."

"You selfish, misbegotten and unnatural child," Roclan snarls as he stomps around the terrified Megan. "You smelled the smoke. But no! You were in your Pony Dreamland taking tea and having fun with your pony friends! You didn't want to be bothered! Your room was protected and spare while the rest of your family was roasted in a bucking inferno of incredible horror!!!"

"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO," Megan sobs a bit as she fell to her knees. Her friends rush over to the girl in worry. What Roclan said has really made her doubt and feeling more guilty and hateful of herself.

"Oh my, my; isn't this a good show?" Discord laughs a bit while eating some popcorn. "Normally I would say those lines but that's much better coming from Roclan."

"What have you done to Lorcan?!" Nyx snaps to Discord furiously. "Did you discord him?"

"Maybe I did or maybe he did so himself. After all, Lorcan went to the dark side after the lost of his baby brother; would've sounded cute if I care about such things."

"Enough of this! We should kill them all, especially Megan for her crimes!" Roclan snaps madly at Megan.

"Megan, listen and listen carefully: I know what it's like to lose someone...not good at all." Golden Heart said to Megan gently. "I live through those tragedies time and again. But you can't blame yourself. If you do and continue living this fear...the darkness within you will win. You must face your fears if you are to save Equestria."

Megan cries a bit as she stood up, frowning while saying, "Right, let's do this...for my family and for all of Equestria. Discord, Roclan, prepare yourselves!"

"Well, finally! I didn't think we will get to the fighting part!" Discord snaps as he got rid of the bowl. "Roclan, some help please."

Roclan roars as he fires fire at the heroes who dodges the attacks. Discord then snaps his finger, sending out boulders but they dodge them. The heroes use their attacks with Alpha Prime firing lasers at Roclan and Megan and Luna using their attacks against Discord.

"Eat lasers!" Discord laughs while shooting a laser from his left claw.

"Great, what we don't need!" Fred exclaims in annoyance. "A laser shooting freakshow!"

"And I thought our enemies were jerks before!" Ed whines some more. The two Changelings yelp and ducks to avoid Roclan's flames.

Sweetie throws the Jacks at both Discord and Roclan, hitting them. The chimera frowns as he saw out Discord Spawns at them. Ben calls out, "Megan, listen! We will deal with the pawns!"

Ben and the ones not fighting Discord and Roclan then fight off the Discord Spawns, killing them. Roclan snarls at Alpha Prime spins and knocks him to the ground. Megan and Luna then combine their attacks, hitting Discord in the face.

Discord then wave a claw, getting Megan and Luna trapped in a force field. He remarks, "Sadly, I enjoy our little time together but I got a lot of chaos to spread so I will make your demise quick."

"Not so fast, jerk!" A familiar voice yells out. The group saw Spitfire arriving at the scene with Cadance and Shining (riding his wife's back) changing in.

"Let go of Megan and Luna!" Shining exclaims as he use his magic to make a sword float. Suddenly the unicorn swung right at Discord. The villain roars in pain as he was forced to let go of Megan and Luna...what's more shocking is that his right eye fell right off.

"Damn you all! I will make you all pay for this insult!" Discord exclaims furiously to Shining furiously. "Come on, Roclan, we're leaving!"

Roclan didn't say a word. He got on Discord's back as the two flew right out of the building. Luna calls out in shock, "Lorcan, wait...don't go..."

"Luna? Are ou all right?" Megan asks Luna in sadness and worry. The human is hurt, not only by Roclan's insults and bitter truth but by seeing her adopted daughter's heart torn that the love of her life has now join the dark side, discorded.

"We...we got to get him back. Lorcan deserves better..."

"Yo, Megan, hurry! The Discord Staff is yours!" Spitfire calls out to Megan as she passes the eye to her.

"My troops are already gathered, along with the Flutterponies and rebels." Cadance explains to Megan. "Everything is ready. Spitfire shall go on ahead to deal with Discord and his friend..."

"His name is Lorcan." Rarity explains to Cadance sadly.

"My wife Cadance and I shall head off to get the troops ready for our assault." Shining said in determination. "Megan, you and your friends are champion."

"Yeah," Megan said as she glances at the ones coming with her, ready to fight by the human's side. "I guess it's up to me at the end."

"Correct, Meg! Lead us to victory in Canterlot." Spitfire said to Megan with a smile. The human girl nods as she put Discord's Eye in the staff.

"Right; it's done now."

"Let's not stand here for now. We must venture forth to the castle." Golden Heart announces in determination. With that, Spitfire heads off to go after Discord and Roclan while Cadance and Shining leaves to get the troops, rebels, etc. ready for the assault.

Megan's group leaves the chaotic building, returning to the outside. Rainbow comments, "All right, next up: the Canterlot Castle."

Hoo boy, Roclan has gone out of his mind now...but at least Megan, despite getting hurt emotionally by the bitter truth and insults, got Discord's eye. In the next chapter, Megan and her friends continue onward to Canterlot for a fight against Celestia. But soon they must confront Discord and Roclan after losing another friend...and the fight result in the end of an ally that was with Megan since the beginning and her love. Read, review and suggest!

 

Roclan is the evil version of Lorcan who is voiced by Mark Hamill (Lorcan's crazy voice). And while his insulting and accusing Megan was something Discord would've said (like the Jabberwocky to Alice in the actual game), I felt damn sure it sounded better coming from the now lunatic dragon.
