Chapter 11: Destruction of Discord

 

Megan and her friends rush through the wastelands, on their way to what they know to be Canterlot. Along the way, they took on the Mini-Devils, Lava Demons, Phantasmagoria and the Royal Guards.

Soon the gang arrives at the barrier that's around Canterlot at. Luna said to Megan seriously, "Only the Discord Staff can pry them open."

"Right, it's time." Megan said. She aims the staff at the barrier and fires a blast. Soon the whole thing broke into pieces.

"Yew did it!" Apple Bloom cheers for Megan eagerly.

"Yeah, good thing," A voice groans. The group saw a stallion named Caramel arriving with a strange object.

"Caramel," Ben exclaims to Caramel in amazement. "Where have you been? What happened?"

"I barely got here alive. I got something for Megan." Caramel said as he gave some sort of item to Megan. "It's some sort of Blunderbuss."

"What does it do?" Sweetie asks curiously as Twilight appears into the area.

"A blunderbuss in the hands of a blockhead is a catastrophe waiting to happen." Twilight explains to the group. "None of you are dunderheads but better take care."

"So it's a gun. Figures," Rainbow remarked in amusement, "Caramel, better get out of here! This could get ugly."

"But what about you," Caramel ask his friends in worry. "I just got here and..."

"We will be fine, Caramel. Just go." Rarity insists to Caramel. "Besides...I have the feeling that Applejack may need your help, what with her condition and all."

"Yeah, you're right...take care, everyone!"

Caramel then rushes away as Twilight disappears from the scene. The heroes then enter what appears to be a maze, which appears to be wonderful despite the hell that Equestria's going through.

"Amazing how, despite how everything changed, this place still remains beautiful." Rarity said with a sigh.

"Tell me about it." Scootaloo remarks in agreement.

"Let me go first." Megan said. She threw two Jacks into the air. In one area, a Unicorn Royal Guard got stabbed by the weapons, screaming before dying.

"Well, you got one, Megan." Fred remarks to Megan with a nod.

"Right, now stay on your toes."

The group moves through the maze, running into more Royal Guards. One of them swung his ax right at Mega, only to miss. The pony tries again with Megan blocking the attack with her knife...then she slashes him into two pieces. The girl then smirks somewhat insanely, she could get used to this.

"More Discord Spawns," Golden Heart exclaims as the group kept on fighting the Royal Guards and the spawns. Alpha Prime fires lasers at the creatures, sending them to the ground dead before Megan finish the remaining ones off.

"My psychiatrist Dr. Urameshi would have a field trip with this." Megan mumbles, preparing to her psychiatrist who takes care of her back in the asylum.

"I found a pathway out of this maze." Luna said to her friends while motioning to a pathway. "Megan, better use that watch now."

"Sure, hang on."

Megan's friend held onto her as she presses the button. Everything all over froze, as well as an insane pony standing on a button to keep a gate open. Rainbow comments, "Come on, let's get!"

The gang follows Luna through the maze, going faster as the watch's power may not last long. Soon they came to a tunnel with a portal inside and jumps right in it.

Megan and her friends find themselves in a new area just as time unfroze. There is wind blowing around in certain places.

"Check that out, thermal drafts!" Ed exclaims while pointing a hoof at the thermal drafts.

Twilight then reappears, commentating, "Ride the thermal drafts like an alicorn."

"What does that mean?" Rainbow asks Twilight with a frown. "Make sense, egghead!"

"Hey, if things make sense, they wouldn't be fun."

"Damn, you sound like Discord when you said that."

"Boojums," The Cutie Mark yelps as they saw Boojums screeching towards the heroes, causing them to duck quickly to avoid those monsters.

"We better care of this!" Ben exclaims to his friends and daughter quickly.

"Right," Nyx exclaims.

The flyers flew at the Boojums and hitting the victims, sending them right to Megan who slashes them with her knife. The human calls out, "All right, it's safe to continue."

The group uses the air stream to get across, floating over the wooden paths. They went through the same method in different areas while taking on the Boojums.

"All right, we shall go this way." Sweetie said with a nod.

The group found a portal, jumping right into it.

In the next area, Apple Bloom comments, "Looks like we are going going 'ta be in one Tartarus o' a worst area here."

Megan's group head upstairs and turn to an intersection where a Pegasus Royal Guard is at with a Discord Spawn and a Phantasmagoria. The heroes got rid of them then go to the right path and downward.

Megan and her friends found two Unicorn Royal Guards, a Discord Spawn and a Phantasmagoria in their way. Nyx calls out, "Quick! Let's use the Jacks!" The four CMC threw the Jacks at the creatures, killing them.

Now Megan's group goes through another tunnel, encountering an Earth Pony Royal Guard, two Discord Spawns and another Phantasmagoria. Fred groans, "This is getting bucking ridiculous!"

Luna, Alpha Prime and Golden Heart kill the creatures with their magic. Megan and her group enter an opened hole where there's water.

"Piranhas," Apple Bloom gasps upon seeing Piranhas in the water.

"Prepare yourselves!" Megan calls out to her friends. The gang swam through the area while taking the lower path to their right, following it to some air bubbles.

Megan and her friends saw some piranhas which Rainbow, Ben and Rarity got rid of. They continue swimming until the heroes came to the surface, breathing in some air.

"We still got a long way to go." Luna said to her friends who find themselves in a big lake area. "We better get a move on."

Megan and her friends swam around and found a small place which helps them climb out of the way. Two Piranhas were about to attack but Nyx quickly hits them with the mallet.

"Not a chance!" Nyx snaps to the Piranhas sternly.

Megan's group climbs up the rocks, spotting two Unicorn Royal Guards up ahead. The gang jump across to the other rock at the right then follows the path until they were the structure where their enemies are inside, following it to find the Royal Guards.

Megan's group got rid of the evil ponies while going to the end instead of turning left. Fred spots a lever, saying, "Hey, I see a lever. What does it do?'

"Maybe we could..." Ed begins to say but the Changeling trips and slams onto the lever, breaking it, "Horse apples!"

Interestingly enough, the gate inside the water tunnel opens up, revealing a new day. Rarity, noticing, said with a frown, "Back into the water."

"Awww, not those piranhas," Sweetie whines a bit, not wanting to be dealing with the piranhas again.

The gang heads back and goes into the doorway from before, seeing two robots there. Megan and Alpha Prime destroy them before the gang goes out into the hallway, killing two Royal Guards lurking there.

"Looks like we got some stairs to climb," Megan said while glancing at a stairway nearby. "Come on."

Megan's group heads up the stairs, following the path to a small intersection, then took a left and jumps into the water waiting for them. Scootaloo groans, "Here we go again!"

Megan's group took the path between two metal bars, following it all the way back to the big lake. Next, they swam along the structure that the Royal Guards were at and found a pipe path which was revealed.

"Guess we should swim here." Ben comments. His friends nod as they head to the pipe path, following it along the way and killing off the two fishes in it.

Megan grabs some Mega Meta Essence, swimming the way up. The gang hit the source with Golden Heart commentating, "This will get more frigging dangerous from here."

A Pegasus Royal Guard is patrolling the area which the gang kills before continuing along the way, arriving at an intersection. Megan's group kills off the Royal Guards and Phantasmagoria before taking the left path to see what's there.

"What's this?" Megan asks as the gang saw a mirror on the floor, "A mirror?"

"Why in the world would it be here?" Rarity asks puzzled as the gang picks up the mirror to look at it. The white unicorn styles her mane a bit as if to fix it. "Well, my mane does need fixing."

Suddenly the gang yelps as a flash of white came from the mirror. Soon they find themselves invisible with Rainbow calling out, "Awesome!"

"We're invisible! Yay," The Cutie Mark Crusaders cheers wildly.

The gang heads back to take the first left turn. They came across an Earth Pony Royal Guard on a bridge that doesn't seem to notice them.

"Well, the mirror can be useful." Alpha Prime remarked in amusement by the mirror's power.

"Yes, but the effects are only temporarily." Luna explains while using her power to kill the Royal Guard.

Megan's group follows the path, destroying the enemies there until they came to a lever. Once they turn visible, the Changelings pull it on the right side, causing a portal gate to open up.

"We got through in one piece." Rainbow remarks to her friends in concern. "But we still got a way to go."

The group turns around, taking the right turn to find a Bone Gate, jumping down from the lower level from it. They turn to see a robot.

"My turn," Ed exclaims as he uses the card to destroy the room. The gang went to where it was where the Boojums begin to attack, "Awww!"

"Come on, Golden Heart." Alpha Prime said to Golden Heart. The two attacks the creatures with their powers, destroying them.

Next the gang saw two Pegasus Royal Guards and a Boojum guarding the portal. Ben said, "All right, me, Rainbow as well as Luna will handle those guys."

"Right," Luna said with a nod.

"Let's get them." Golden Heart said as he, Ben and Rainbow attack the enemies before getting rid of them.

"Dang, let's leave." Apple Bloom said in exhaustion, wanting out of this place. "Ah is can't stand 'dis horse crap more than Ah had 'ta!"

Megan's group nod as they jump into the portal, leaving the next area.

The group came into another area, finding a bottomless pit nearby. Fred in annoyance groans, "Aw, hay! We gotta fly though this area now?"

Twilight, reappearing, comments, "Well, Derpy did prove at times that being a Pegasus pony has its advantages."

The non-flyers groan as they got onto the ones that can fly as they flew over the pit area, dodging nasty cloud monsters and crows. They continue onward and found the next portal that takes them out of the area.

In the next area, the group saw a lot of Cogswheels moving around like. Twilight teleport in, looking at the said Cogwheels while commenting, "Time to jump in time to jump through time...ugh; I'm getting dizzy!"

"Sorry, Twilight," Ben apologizes to his love whose disappears from the area.

The gang jumps to the left edge, seeing a standable Meta Object before jumping over there. They continue jumping to more Metal Objects until the heroes got onto a metal ledge with a cogwheel that they all rode.

"Man, this is a bit dizzy for me." Scootaloo groans a bit as she is getting dizzy on the cogwheel.

"Just keep yer lunch, okay?" Apple Bloom insists to Scootaloo a bit uneasily.

Megan and her friends rode the cogwheel then jumps to the middle, running around it and kill the Pegasus Royal Guard in the distance. They soon arrive to where the pony was by crossing the next two platforms.

"Phew, made it." Megan sighs in relief. The gang continues on, killing the Royal Guards and Boojums in their way until they reach the openings of the cogwheels. Then the heroes follow the path afterward before entering the next portal.

In the next area, Megan's group jumps onto the horizontal spinning cogwheel before jumping into the next three cogs that led them a bit upward, then onward to solid ground.

"Okay, so far so good." Megan said with a nod.

"Right, everything's cool so far." Rainbow said as the group moves on their way.

"Yes...but I wonder if Spitfire is doing all right." Alpha Prime said in concern, wondering how Spitfire is in her chase of Discord and Roclan. Hopefully the Wonderbolt knows what she's getting into by going after those two.

Spitfire frowns as she stood her ground against Discord and Roclan. The Wonderbolt has caught up to them somewhere near the city of Canterlot and is barely struggling to fight the evil assholes.

"Come now, my little pony, you are no match against me." Discord said to Spitfire in amusement. "I mean, honestly, your Wonderbolts has since bitten the dust so give up while you can still live."

"No, never," Spitfire snaps to Discord furiously. "Now change Roclan back and maybe Celestia too! I know you discorded them!"

"You think I want to go back?! Dream on, toots!" Roclan laughs madly to Spitfire.

"Correct and while I may have a claw in Lorcan's transformation, I on the other claw did not for Celestia's." Discord explains to Spitfire slyly. "That is another evil of another form."

Spitfre frowns as she flew right at Discord. The villain sighs as he snaps and made a spear appears, stabbing her in the wings. The Wonderbolts screams as she fell to the ground. Spitfire groans and coughs out blood. Despite her injuries, she is still willing to fight.

"You really are hardhearted like Rainbow Dash, are you?" Discord asks Spitfire in amusement, "Oh well, time for our fun to come to an end."

"Discord! You've promised I would finish her off!" Roclan whines to Discord in annoyance. "Come on! Don't break promises."

"Oh very well. I did promise. Go ahead."

Spitfire growls as she charges at Roclan who shoots out fireball and lasers from himself. The Wonderbolt lands onto the background just as Megan's group arrives on the scene, the human gasps, "Spitfire!"

Spitfire flies at Roclan who laughs sinisterly as the two begins to fight fiercely. The Pegasus pony kept up on the assault but then one of Roclan's lasers hit her right in the heart. Spitfire gasps as she hits the ground hard, much to the horror of her friends.

"Spitfire," Rainbow screams. The gang rush over to the fatally injured Spitfire. Discord smirks as he blows up the bridge that Megan's group just crossed. No chance of them escaping, they are trapped. "No..."

"Too bad, my little ponies and friends; and the same to you, Megan," Discord taunts Megan sinisterly. "You were so foolish to think that you can overcome your own guilt."

"You should've come and saved her, and now...another pony is lost thanks to you." Roclan laughs madly to Megan who lies the injured pony down.

Normally, the insults would hurt Megan to the point of no return in the emotional state. But the girl looks furiously to Discord and Roclan while snapping, "No...the insults won't bother me anymore...you two will pay for what you did to Spitfire!"

Discord scoffs a bit, "You're quite the hypocrite, Megan. How many have you killed during your adventure? And you, Miss Rarity?"

"I feel no guilt!" Rarity snaps to Discord angrily.

"Oh, don't lie to me Rarity; I'm the one who makes people lie. Will you ever learn?"

"Hay, we learnt 'dat saving 'de world ain't easy." Apple Bloom remarks sternly to Discord. "But it's worth fighting fer."

"Now what we're going to fight for is taking you and Roclan down!" Nyx exclaims to Discord sternly.

"Megan, you deal with Discord." Luna said as she turns to Roclan, with tears in her eyes. "I will handle Roclan..."

"Come on, Luna! Spike was killed thanks to Megan's uselessness to save him!" Roclan insists to Luna madly. "Maybe your sister can let you live if..."

"No! I will not turn to darkness...not again! I will do whatever it takes to save my home even if I must die while doing so!"

"If you're not with me, then you are my enemy!"

"Only a corrupted one deals a absolute." Luna said, a hint of sadness is heard in her voice. The Alicorn summons a small hilt, which shoots out a white cored plasma beam sword with a dark bluish color; a beam sword. "I will do what I must."

"You will try." Roclan remarks as he activates his own beam sword; only with a black core and green glow.

The two charge at each other and start clashing with their beam swords. Discord laughs as storm clouds appear, "Now it's time for a big storm of chaos!"

"Did anyone hear the one about the dragon who killed his girlfriend? No? Stick around."

Thunder roars as the next fight begins. Discord send out candy knives at the heroes but Alpha Prime uses a barrier to block the attack. The robot snaps, "Hurry!"

Megan nods as she uses the Discord Staff on Discord, causing the villain to scream as he got hit, "No! It's impossible! No one can hurt me like that!"

Discord fires lasers at the group as they dodge and fire their own attacks at him. Meanwhile, Luna kept on clashing against Roclan who got the upper hoof, slamming him to the ground. The dragon laughs as he swings his weapon into the air, ready to stab his former girlfriend.

Nyx gasps as she rush over to Luna, much to Ben's alarm as he asks, "Nyx, what the Tartatus are you doing?"

"Helping my half-sister," Nyx exclaims as she jumps in and bites Roclan on the arm. The corrupted dragon roars in pain as he stops fighting to try to toss Nyx right off. Luna manages to get up and hits Roclan with a laser, knocking the filly off him.

"I shall continue on from me, Nyx." Luna said to her half sister as she resumes the fight against Roclan. Maybe she can knock some sense into him somehow.

Megan and her friends continues hitting Discord with their weapons and attacks while dodging his chaotic powers, the only weapons that did real damages was the blade that Megan has and the Discord Staff. Discord growls as he tries to hit his enemies who dodge his attacks.

Discord has Golden Heart and Megan in a corner. Megan is a little worried but Golden Heart then says, "It is ok, Megan, this is a good range."

"Indeed for me to end you." Discord said, unaware of what Golden Heart has in mind.

Discord then charges his attack but does not see the smirk on Golden Heart's face. Megan wonders why then she saw something jump over them and onto the chimera's head and wraps a vise around the chimera's neck.

"What the Tartarus," Discord exclaims as he tries to get the figure off his head, but she held onto her tightly. "Release me at once!"

"You have lost." Megan said to Discord with a smirk on her face.

"No...No...NO! YOU WILL DIE!"

Discord finally tosses the figure right off his head and uses his tail to knock Megan's weapons away, making her gasp. The Discord Staff and the blade are knocked away! She tries to get to them but Discord blocks her.

"Too bad, Megie, you lost this time!" Discord sneers to Megan sinisterly, "Time to face your timely demise. No problem, you will join your family soon enough!"

Megan is not sure what to do now. Just then, the group saw something that caught Discord's attention: Luna has finally sent Roclan onto the floor, the Dragon is getting close to death, about to be finished off.

Discord smirks evilly saying to Luna, "Good...Good. Now kill him Luna. Kill him now and became what you truly are."

"I won't kill my love." Luna snaps sternly. Roclan may be corrupted and was trying to kill her...but only because that bastard Discord made him to do so. By now, Roclan has limped to the chimera's side.

"So, be it...Alicorn."

Discord then waves his hand, hitting Roclan with an extra blast of Discord. The Dragon roars madly as he charges at Nyx, ready to kill her. Luna gasps as she flew in to block off the attack.

Then something horrifying happens: Luna got in the way of Roclan's attack in mid-air...and both got stabbed by their own weapons! The two gasps in pain and horror...even the corrupted Dragon is stunned by what he and Luna just did to one another.

Discord laughs madly, "Oh yes, this is rich! The two lovers ending at each other's hooves and claws; Priceless," The chimera was so busy laughing that he fails to see Megan picking up her blade and staff.

Discord screams in pain as he felt his tail getting stabbed. The villain saw the Vorpal Blade sticking his said tail to the floor, trapping him. Then he saw Megan charging up her Discord Staff for a huge blast.

"Discord, I've have enough of you!" Megan exclaims furiously to her enemy. "Your presence here in Equestria is done!!!"

"All I ever wanted was to have some fun like the last time I was unleashed, but it seems even you don't want me to have it! What gave you the right to take away my freedom?!" Discord protests to Megan. Just then a beam from the staff come flying at him. He simply said, "Oh."

Discord screams his last as the beam then changes him into stone once more. The statue villain then fell to the ground, shattering and breaking upon impact. The Spirit of Chaos and Disharmony is no more.

Megan goes over to the villain's remains, picking up her blade that was on Discord's tail, saying, "Sorry, but sometimes, fun has its limits."

Luna and Roclan meanwhile continues flying in mid-air...the Dragon is coming to his senses at last...and is close to dying with his true love.

"Lorcan," Luna said as she wraps her hooves round his neck and moves closer to him.

"Luna..." Lorcan said. He Mimics the action...just as their wings stop flapping and they start to plummet into the lava below. The two lovers free fall, their lips still pressed onto one another with their eyes closed.

"Luna! Lorcan," Megan cries out but it's too late for her and her friends, the two hits the lava, disappearing and melting underneath it.

"Noo," Nyx cries out in sadness as Twilight reappears on the scene. "First Spike, now my half sister and brother figure!"

"Nyx, I'm sorry..." Twilight sighs in sadness as she saw Spitfire, about to die herself. "I'm also sorry for Spitfire...there isn't anything we can do unless Equestria is restored."

"But how," Alpha Prime ask Twilight in sadness. "The only possible way is with the Elements...and two of its holders has gone crazy with Pinkie now dead!"

"No..." Megan sobs as she came over to Spitfire's death. The Wonderbolt doesn't have much time left.

"It's all right, Megan. You freed Lorcan even though he and Luna meant their demises at the end..." Spitfire said to Megan weakly. "You also destroyed Celestia's guardian Discord and avenged their deaths and mine as well. Prepare to enter the ultimate battle."

"But must I fight on? Can't Celestia be convinced to surrender?"

"I wish that is the case..." Golden Heart said with a sigh as he pats Megan on the shoulder. "Now if you excuse me..."

As Golden Heart heads over to the figure that was knocked off Discord during the fight, the weak Spitfire remarks, "To be honest...true words and logic could rarely defeat the evil intent. Celestia's still strong. And she has harmed so many thanks to her corruption. They want revenge which we call justice. Celestia made this world this way and she must pay...even if she was a good princess once before..."

"She's right. To save Equestria, we must kill my mother." Ben said in sadness while looking down. He has no choice; his mother must die to restore Equestria.

"You, Cadance and Shining must lead our forces against her, Megan!"

"But how; I am not sure how to lead?" Megan asks in sadness as she sniffs a bit. The girl is not sure if she herself could lead on after what happened.

"Do your best, Megan...you can only do you best...you...well, you get the idea..." Spitfire said weakly as she is getting closer to her demise. "Please...fight on, everyone...fight...o...n..."

With that, Spitfire went limp as the Wonderbolt has finally met her death. Megan sobs some more as the remaining others look at their friend in sadness.

"Poor Spitfire," Rainbow said with a groan. "This is bad..."

"All the ponies and friend I know...all killed!" Megan sobs some more, mourning for the loss of those killed by the darkness: Spike, Pinkie Pie, Luna, Lorcan...and now Spitfire.

"Spitfire, Luna, Lorcan, we promise. Your deaths won't be in vain." Scootaloo promises to Spitfire in sadness. The heroes will avenge the deaths of those taken.

"Without Spitfire, our forces had lost a leader. A battle has begun." Twilight said seriously to her friends. "Deliver us all from this evil or we are all screwed before perishing."

Golden Heart meanwhile checks on his friend. The male Alicorn ask, "You okay?"

"Yeah, I am. Discord tossed me off but nothing I ain't ill prepared for." The figure giggles to Golden Heart happily. "I'm ready and willing to help out at Canterlot now."

"Good...just remember, we're about to enter a battle that some of us may not kill throughout."

"Hey, I'm used to it! I can fight for my life if I have to! Bring 'em on!"

Soon the drawbridge to Canterlot is let down. The heroes nod as they rush through the bridge, entering the city. Megan knew that she and her friends must win this...even if they must kill Celestia to do so.

 

Author's note
Spitfire, Luna and Lorcan are dead...long live them. The final battle is getting closer. In the next chapter, the group moves on as the rebels fight off Celestia's force, the gang finally learns what happened to the Autobots. But when Twilight is about to reveal something important to her friends, another disaster has occurred that takes two more lives that devastates Nyx further. Read, review and suggest.

 

This chapter has references to the Star Wars series and the first Spider-Man film, as well as the actual series.

 

Caramel is in the role of Humpty Dumpty but since he has yet to appear, I will have to settle for a cameo.

 

Dr. Urameshi is named after a pal of mine, who is in the role of Alice's psychiatrist in the first game.
