Chapter 9: The Truth about the Glitches

Chef Hatchet grunts as he begin dusting the last bits of Gwen's cart before putting the pieces into a trash can. Myx has gave him orders to clean up the mess. At least now, Gwen and her pals won't participate in the race so...

"Hey! Chef Boyadee!" A familiar voice exclaims. Chef Hatchet turns to see Heavy's group arriving on the scene.

"Oh great, you again?" Chef Hatchet ask with a grunt. "What? You want to cause more trouble in our game now?"

"Don't give me that! Let Heavy ask ya this: Gwen wasn't supposed to exist, da? So why is here picture on the side of the game console then?"

"And why is your king so determined to keep her, Mike, Zoey and Trent from racing anyhow?" Numbuh 5 demands sternly to the nervous assistant. "And mind you, we outnumbered ya so we ain't afraid to fight dirty!"

"Go ahead, try to run off! Doesn't matter to Stitch all the same!" Stitch exclaims wickedly as he got his paws out.

"Err, good question, now here's the answer..." Chef Hatchet said nervously. Suddenly he drops the stuff he's holding and makes a run for it.

Sev grabs Chef and flops on his stomach and holds him down tightly. With a stern look, he said, "You may have military training but I'm a commando. We're much tougher so best to answer our questions."

"Now what's going on in this reality based Heart of Darkness?" Heavy demands sternly to Chef Hatchet.

"Nothing, really." Chef Hatchet said quickly.

"Yeah, nice try. Start talking." Hoagie said sternly to Chef Hatchet.

"No! Do what you want, I won't talk!"

"Very well, then you left Heavy with no choice." Heavy said sternly, deciding on the big tactic to force Chef Hatchet to speak. "Stitch! Lick him!"

"Yay!" Stitch exclaims eagerly as he sticks his tongue out, ready for some licking.

"No, you wouldn't!" Chef Hatchet exclaims in worry, alarm and horror, maybe not in that order.

"Oh yeah?"

"Do it, 626!" Jumbaa exclaims sternly and yet in a wicked smile to Stitch.

Stitch didn't waste time in getting onto Chef Hatchet's head then licks him like mad, causing Chef Hatchet to scream in terror. Pleakley cringes as he comments, "Wow! I sure hate to be him right now!"

Once Stitch stops his licking, Chef Hatchet groans out in disgust, "Ugh! That tastes like acid!"

"Wow, sour, just like Stitch like it." Stitch remarks as he licks his lips. Chef Hatchet tastes sour for a human being.

"All right, time for the age old question: how many licks does it take to get to your center?" Hoagie ask with a smirk to the defiant Chef Hatchet.

"I will take it to my grave!" Chef Hatchet exclaims in protest, though nervous as he knows what will happen next.

"Fair enough. Back to licking!" Numbuh 4 orders Stitch who happily licks Chef Hatchet's head once more, causing the man to scream in delight some more.

"Ha ha ha! Maybe they should called you "Sour Hatchet" instead." Heavy remarks to Chef Hatchet with a mad laugh. For a tough military chef, he sure acts like a baby when in an alien's mouth.

"Now start talking or weega will act very cute until you lose it!" Angelilo exclaims to Chef Hatchet with a devilish smirk.

"Right, and no one could dare resist my cuteness!" Numbuh 3 exclaims with a happy giggle.

Once Stitch ceases his licking of the yelping and groaning Chef Hatchet, Sev spoke with a frown, "Had enough, soldier?"

"All right, I'll talk, I'll talk, just don't let that alien lick me again!" Chef Hatchet exclaims in a huge panic. "I'm used to Chris's challenges but not this! No more, I will say anything!"

"All right, start talking." Numbuh 5 said sternly to Chef Hatchet.

"I am the only one who was active in the actual game and knew this: yes, it's true! Gwen was supposed to be a racer, along with Mike and Zoey!"

"Yay, I knew it!" Numbuh 3 exclaims happily as she threw her arms into the air. "I knew she was supposed to be one!"

"So how about Mike and Zoey? Are they supposed to be racers as well?" Hoagie ask Chef Hatchet with a frown.

"Yes, both of them were!" Chef Hatchet exclaims with a groan while sobbing a bit.

"So why it is that they were glitching?" Scorch ask Chef Hatchet. If Gwen and her friends Mike and Zoey were supposed to be part of the game, why were they glitching?

"Well, when they were prepared to be activated, King Mxyzptlk tried to delete their codes!"

Flashback

In a flashback, Myx laughs wickedly as he is tearing off wires from the boxes with Gwen, Mike and Zoey's faces.

End Flashback

"Wait, evil imp man tried to delete her code?!" Heavy gasps in shock and anger. "So, no wonder they were glitching! Why is he doing this to them?"

"Well, I don't know." Chef Hatchet admits to the group in concern.

"All right, get ready, girls." Angelilo said as she, Numbuh 3 and Numbuh 5 prepares to act cute.

"Wait, wait! I swear, I don't really know! I don't know much of anything else!"

Flashback

In a flashback, Myx shoves memoires of the mentioned three into a chest, locking it tightly. Chef Hatchet's voice narrates, "You see, when the king failed to delete them all the way, he then locked up all our memories. I cannot remember, no one can!"

End Flashback

"Hang on. If you don't remember, how did you know what they even did?" Angelilo ask Chef Hatchet puzzled. No one else remembers Gwen, Mike and Zoey...so why does Chef Hatchet?

"Simple, the king told me personally so no one else would get suspicious...and threaten to harm me later. Great, I'm going to get it later." Chef Hatchet remarks with a groan, knowing he's in big trouble when his boss gets wind of what he did.

"So why in the world is your boss not wanting them to race still?" Pleakley ask, still unclear on that.

"You see, King Mxyzpltk wants to keep them from racing, especially Gwen! In other words, if she crosses the finish line, the game will not only reset, but Gwen, Mike and Zoey won't be glitches anymore!"

"What?!" A voice is head and the group along with Chef looked to see DJ apparently he had stayed behind. "You mean to tell me we've been lied to all this time?!"

"DJ shouldn't you be at the race?" Sev asked surprised to see him here.

"After what happened before I lost the feeling to race...I could see mama looking angry at me and that's not just cause she lives near here." DJ said dejected. "I thought I come here and try to explain why I did what I did to them but found you and heard everything. Now...I want to make it right."

"So where are they now?" Heavy demands, wanting to know where Gwen, Mike and Zoey are at.

"They are in the Fungeon right now with Hiccup, Wander and some guy whose name is Boss." Chef Hatchet explains to the group as to where the group are.

"Boss is locked up too?" Scorch ask in surprise. Looks like another one of his allies was locked up as well!

"Yes! Anyway, that's all I know, I'm sorry, honest! Just don't let that alien thing lick me again!"

Chef Hatchet sobs as the commandos then got up and put him on a tree, sticking him to it. Heavy said sternly to the chef, "Stick around."

"Right, okay, I will, thanks." Chef Hatchet groans a bit, feeling ashamed for acting like this.

Heavy and the others picked up the pails along with the remains of the carts. They must get these fixed and rescued their pals from the fungeon!

"Looks like we're pulling a prison break!" Hoagie said smiling.

"I happen to know a secret way in the guards don't know about." DJ said nodding.

"How?" Scorch asked curiously.

"Duncan told me about it, it's how he manages to get out whenever he gets locked up."

The heroes got into the carts nearby and departed. They got friends to rescue and friends to reconciled with here!

Astrid, Sylvia and Fixer lands their pod right into Licorice fields, continuing their search for the Heartless. It has to be here somewhere.

"Looks like we may never find that Heartless at this rate." Sylvia said with a frown as she shakes her head. "We may have to draw them out somehow."

"Come on, I know you're out there." Astrid mumbles as she check scanner which appears to be on the fritz. "Ugh! Saccharine saturated nightmare."

"Sirs, I think I got the scanner working." Fixer said to them and shakes it a bit and suddenly red dots appear all over the place. "Or....not....I hope at least."

"But where..."

Suddenly without warning the ground below the trio gave away, causing them to yell as they fell downward. Astrid's group grabs the licorice, but dropped the scanner which landed on the ground of a cavern below. It shines off a light...which activates some Heartless eggs in the area!

"Yikes!" Sylvia exclaims in shock. She and the others looks alarmed as the eggs are near the very big Heartless that glow while roaring.

"Doomsday and Armageddon just had a baby...and boy is it ugly." Astrid said grimly. Looks like the Heartless that stole in the escape pod just gave birth to some new ones...

And they are going to invade this game at any given second!

Wander, Hiccup and Boss looks worried as they look out the barred window. The trio are imprisoned because they are friends or associates of Heavy and his pals. Worst yet, as long as Hiccup and Wander are locked up, their game are sure to be unplugged with no heroes in it!

"Hoo boy. Not good. We are locked up because of something that Heavy and his pals had done." Hiccup sighs as he shakes his head in worry. "Imprisoned by association. Hoo boy."

"We got to get out, I want out!" Wander exclaims in worry, preparing to freak out. He holds the bar, shouting, "Hello! Hello! Anyone! Someone let us out, this has been a big mistake here!"

Just then, one of the bars came loose. Boss, noting this, spoke, "Listen, try using that hammer you got there, Wander. Perhaps you could use it to break the bars."

"Well, I will try." Wander said with a nod. After all, if the alien could fix something, what's to say that he can't unfix it? He gave out an "hmm" look as he ask, "How does Heavy do it?" Wander then got an idea as he gets his hammer.

Hiccup gave an "Eek" expression as he spoke, "Wander."

But with an Anime like face, Wander screams out in determination, "HEAVY WILL WRECK IT!"

Hiccup screams out in a Noes kinda way, "No, wait!"

Too late. Wander in a fighting matter hits bars with the hammer, but it fixes the bars instead. He gave out an "Eek" face while yelping, "...oops."

"Ugh! Why must you fix everything you touch?!"

This causes Wander to groan as he slumps to his seat. Boss sighs while shaking his head, "Looks like you broke him, sir."

"BAM" A familiar voice exclaims. The trio yelps as a wall nearby broke out...and the one who did was Heavy himself!

"Knock knock!" Hoagie exclaims as he and some of the others came into the room.

"Room service!" Stitch laughs madly as he made the group's presence known.

"Hiccup! Wander!" Heavy exclaims, smiling at his enemies during his game hours. He then hands a gun over to Boss. "Oh, Heavy believes this belongs to you, courtesy of Sev and Scorch."

"Sev, Scorch what have you two been doing?!" Boss said taking back his gun that was confiscated back.

"One heck of an adventure, sir." Scorch told him. "But we did nothing illegal...in a way."

"I don't want to hear it, just what is going on in this place?" Boss asked them.

"Long story sir? Imp king tampered with codes of three racers, caused everyone else to forget them, and was trying to make them not race."

"And most likely imprisoned you three because of your association with all of us." Sev adds with a nod.

"Heavy, oh, I'm glad to see you!" Wander laughs as he hugs Heavy, happy to see him.

"No, we're not!" Hiccup exclaims furiously as he removes Wander off of him. "Heavy, what did you have to say for yourself? Da, forget it! We aren't going to hear it! Not one of you are going to talk to you!"

"Fine, Heavy gets it. Don't talk. But you have to fix this go-kart for me." Heavy said as he shows the parts to his two enemies from his game.

"Well, we don't have to do boo!"

"Hiccup!" Wander exclaims in shock and embarrassment. Turning to the others, he adds, "Forgive his potty mouth."

"Pardon nothing! Ugh, I'm just...ugh! So upset with you right now! Heavy, do you have any idea what you've put us through, huh?! We ran all over creation looking for you. We almost got drowned in chocolate milk mix! And then, I met the most dynamite gal of my life, she gives me the honey-glow something awful."

"Same here, but with Sylvia...but Hiccup's words causes her and Astrid to reject us." Wander explains, feeling sad while looking down, recalling the memory.

"Perhaps you shouldn't have mentioned "dynamite gal" around the sir." Boss said to Hiccup who groans a bit.

"And now, we got thrown in jail!" Hiccup exclaims with a sigh while shaking his head. "Worst yet, Wander broke down because his hammer can't even break down a few bars!"

Stitch comment, "The downside to a hammer that can only fix things is, when you try to use it on something that ISN'T broken to begin with, it ends up making that thing even stronger. In this case, it makes the wall too strong for even MY super-strength."

"Look fellows, pull yourself together." Heavy said to Hiccup and Wander, trying to help them.

"Why? They're in one piece." Stitch said, confused by what Heavy just said.

"Forget it, Heavy. You got no idea what it's like to be rejected and treated like a criminal." Wander explains sadly to Heavy.

"Da, but Heavy does!" Heavy explains to the two with a frown. "That's every day of my life."

"Wait, it is?" Hiccup ask Heavy as he and Wander looks at him in surprise.

"Which is why I ran off, tried to be good guys...but I'm not. I'm just a bad guy."

"And a monster." Pleakley said to Heavy with a shrug.

"And a dork." Stitch said with a mischievous chuckle.

"And a bald headed buffoon!" Numbuh 4 remarks, adding in to the list of stuff that Heavy is.

"And a guy who lacks any self-control, hygiene, or..." Angelilo said as she also counts off what Heavy is.

"Okay, okay, we get it!" Jumbaa snaps to the others, stopping them from saying anything. "For what it's worth: former evil genius and 626 knows how Heavy feels. Even little girl fused with 624 was treated like outcast."

"Right. Just because we're outcast or bad guys, doesn't mean we should be them 24/7."

"Right now, you two, there are a couple of campers who are in serious need of your help." Hoagie said to Hiccup and Wander with a nod.

"Da, he is right. Heavy needs your help. There's girl whose only hope is kart." Heavy explains as he dumps the contents near the two heroes. "Please, fix it, and Heavy promise he will never try to be good again."

Hearing that made a few of the heroes moved. Heavy finally admits that he's really a bad guy and promised not to change anymore. Of course, this causes Stitch to speak out confused, "Wait, Stitch confused. Can youga be more clear, Heavy?"

"Da. In other words, I won't be good anymore during game hours nor will I even try to change program, da?"

"That's more like it, da." Hiccup said with a smile as Wander got his hammer out. Hearing Heavy admitting to his true nature has got them both to reconsider. "Wander? Time we get to work."

Wander nods as he and Hiccup got to work on fixing the cart, fixing it up instantly. Numbuh 5 comment, "Whoa. That magic hammer makes you two darn good medics as well as repairmen."

Gwen, Mike, Zoey and Trent are chained up in a dark depressing cell, looking saddened. Myx has then thrown in here, most likely to never be seen again. And as if to taunt the heroes further, the king left a TV on to a certain movie that they had seen over and over by now.

"There is something you forgot about, Chrysie!" Spike said as he prepares to pull out something to the evil mastermind Chrysalis.

"Really? What?" Chrysalis ask Spike in amusement.

"THIS!" Spike yells out as he shoots Chrysalis with a tranquilizer gun. The shot hits the villainess, making the others yelps as it knocks Chrysalis back to a wall, causing her to lose her gun in the progress.

"Nice shot, Mister Dragon." Chrysalis mumbles as she is falling asleep. "Very -- nice --- shot."

Chrysalis fell to the floor unconscious. The other murderers looks bewildered at Spike who pulled out the only action needed to stop her once and for all. As they got closer, Spike turns with his weapon, making them stop.

Photo Finish ask, "Whoa. So you're a cop?"

"No, I'm a plant." Spike remarks as he roll his eyes.

"A plant? Don't they normally call guys like you fruits?"

"Very funny. Anyway, I was pretending to be non-straight just to flush out the blackmailer. That call from Princess Celestia was for me." Spike explains as he goes over to the front. The Dragon opens the door while adding, "I told you I didn't do it."

As Spike opens the doors, officers came in, surrounding the suspects who held their hands up. Twilight, the one who was trying to sell some religion literature earlier, came in, asking, "So, Spike, who's the murderer?" She was an agent of Celestia the whole time!

The guests yelled, trying to pin the blame on the other. Spike, rolling his eyes, spoke up clearly, "They ALL are. As for who got Chrysalis, *I* got her, in the main hallway, with the tranquilizer gun. She'll be out cold for a couple of hours, but she will still be in more than good enough shape to stand fair trial. Now, if you excuse me, I have to leave. I have a date in a couple of hours."

Gwen's group sighs, they are locked up here for good. But suddenly a wall of the room bursts through, causing them to them to see three familiar carts being pushed into the room...by a familiar big man and his friends! The carts that Heavy fixed earlier are now repaired thanks to Hiccup and Wander's work!

Heavy looks up to see Gwen, Trent, Mike and Zoey glaring at him. It's clear to them that he finally found out the truth which they don't know of...and isn't happy with him.

"Da, I know, I know, I'm an idiot." Heavy admits to Gwen for being an idiot for what he did before.

"And?" Gwen ask with a glare.

"And a real numbskull."

"And?"

"A selfish diaper baby." Heavy said with a frown, does he really need to say it?

"And...?" Gwen ask with a sly smile, causing Heavy to sigh a bit.

"And...A Stink Brain?"

"The stinkiest brain ever!"

"You forgot "and", kid." Numbuh 4 said to Gwen with a smirk as she hugs Heavy in a way of saying that the girl forgave him for his foolishness.

"Don't ruin it." DJ said to Numbuh 4 with a sigh. "Hey, Gwen, Mike, Zoey? Sorry about earlier. I didn't realize..."

"Hey, it's okay! Myx told a couple of lies. And believe me, I believed in some of them myself!" Mike exclaims to DJ who nodded in agreement.

"Okay, listen up, kids!" Jumbaa exclaims to the racers in determination. "You got race to be in and your rightful places to get back, so let's do it!"

"All right!" Trent exclaims as Heavy, Stitch and some of their friends helps in breaking the chains off of him, Gwen, Mike and Zoey. They are back in the race for sure!

All right! Heavy has come to his senses, the truth about the "glitches" are revealed, and the race is back on. In the next chapter, the race begins as everyone is determined to win, while most of them tries to knock the glitches and their pals out no matter what. Things get worst when the Heartless invaded and Myx's shocking secret is revealed! Read, review and suggest!
