Chapter 4: The Truth of the Caterpillar Room

As the teachers chat at the end of a hallway, not one of them spot three toys sneaking, preparing to make their escape. Mickey, Minnie and Figaro peeks around a garbage can then tip-toe into the hall, turning. They saw a cart being pushed by a man named Kenji Tsukino, causing them all to go limp. Luckily, the janitor just passed over them.

Once Kenji is gone, looks like the hallway is empty, but Kenji, who is whistling merrily to his next part of the job, is unaware that the mice and cat are holding the underside. They are waiting patiently as he rolls them through the lobby. For a moment, it looks like they are going to the exit.

"Almost there, come on." Mickey mumbles.

But to the toys' dismay, Kenji just pushes the cart towards the bathroom, causing Minnie to groans, "Oh no..."

Once inside the bathroom, Kenji got to work on the sink. The toys left the cart, heading into the nearby stall.

"I know that Pooh and Tigger would have problems when Toonfanjoey get to his fanmakes with them." Mickey said with an annoyed sigh. "Christopher Robin wouldn't be that hard on them both."

"You think it was a good idea, leaving our friends here?" Minnie ask Mickey in concern.

"They wanted to stay here, remember? Anyway, our friends will come to their senses eventually."

"I can only hope."

Figaro meows as he points to an open window near the top of the bathroom. Perfect, a way out! Minnie holds Figaro as Mickey tears up a square of toilet paper, placing it onto the seat. The trio then climbs up to the tank lid and leaps to the toilet paper itself, climb up it. Soon the trio made it to the top of the stall with ease.

Mickey, Minnie and Figaro carefully head towards the window. Kenji was working...until he looks up and saw something in the mirror, making him ask, "What the hay?"

The mice and cat freezes in alarm and worried, Kenji is seeing their reflections in the mirror. Not good, they have been spotted!

But fortunately, Kenji just reach up and wipe a stain off the mirror that he really saw. The janitor mumbles, "Well, much better." By the time the mirror is cleaned up, Mickey, Minnie and Figaro are no longer seen in the reflection.

That's because our favorite trio has got to the window in time, winding up on a ledge above the playground where the kids are still playing below. Xion is playing hopscotch by herself as Tifa came over, saying, "There you are, Xion. Come on, it's time to go on home, sweetie."

As Tifa takes Xion by the head and leads her off, Minnie whispers, "Now it's our turn to go home too."

Mickey nods in agreement as he, Minnie and Figaro climbs up a drain pipe, arriving on the roof. The trio run across it, but stops at the edge, almost falling right off. Figaro meows as they look down in concern: there is a high wall surrounding the campus. How will they get down now?

Mickey yelps as a gust of wind pulls his glove right off, blowing it away, "Hey, whoa, whoa, no!"

Fortunately, the glove landed near a kite that is tangled on a rooftop. Must've been lost by one of the kids. After looking at the kite, Minnie smiles thoughtfully as she said, "Mickey, Figaro. I got an idea." Her boyfriend nodded, getting the same idea as Minnie is.

The trio of toys, with Mickey getting his glove back, now rush across the roof, holding the kite over their head before leaping and soaring across the playground and over the wall. The toys laughs as they glide down, making a perfect landing. Yes, they've escaped! Now it's on to Tommy's!

At least, Mickey's group thought they would but another gust of wind causes the kite to fly up again, taking the trio into the air. Figaro yelps in fright as he and the mice looks down, it's a long way down! Now the wind takes Mickey's group higher into the sky, causing them to spin around like mad.

Mickey, Minnie and Figaro scream/meow as they are wrap to each other and the crossbar, they are hoping to get back down and gently. Unfortunately, the bar snaps, causing the whole thing to go back downward very fast. Our couple yelps as they try to fly the kite wings, but it won't slow their fast! The mice and Figaro are going to break once they hit the ground.

The good news is that Mickey, Minnie and Figaro crashed into a tree, the branches slow their fall. They fell out of the tree, closing their eyes while waiting for their ends. But amazingly, it never came. When Mickey, Minnie and Figaro opens one eye reach, they are inches above the pavement. Mickey's pull string was able to stop their fall in time, the hero holds his girl and her cat.

The pull string lifts the trio up, causing Mickey's voice box to spoke, "Hold it right there!" Mickey, Minnie and Figaro are dangling from a branch in hopes to get freed. They just escaped the daycare, but are prisoners still! How humiliating!

But then, Mickey, Minnie and Figaro saw Xion playing hopscotch and is approaching them. The toys went limp just as the girl approaches...and hit the trio unknowingly. Xion looks and is surprised. How did those toys get up in this tree?

Xion looks around, looks like the toys' owners are nowhere in sight. With a smile, she manages to pull Mickey, Minnie and Figaro right off the branch, making Mickey's pull string to play, "You're my favorite best friend."

Xion couldn't help but giggle. The mice and the cute cat toy must've gotten lost or abandoned. Well, maybe they could come out with her! Just then, she hears honking noises from Tifa's car, the woman is calling for her.

"Look Hooded, we have some new friends " Xion said as she puts the toys in the bag and zips it up

As the toys come out of toy mode Hooded said,"Yo, how have you all been?"

"Embarrassed." Mickey sighs as Xion runs off to her waiting mother. "We got out of that tree, but now a kid has us!"

"Well, on the plus side, it isn't Melvin Hargraves." Minnie reminds Mickey. "Maybe we can figure out how to get back to Tommy's from there." The male mouse sighs, hoping that his girl was right about that.

Xion got into the car before Tifa drives off, no one saw a familiar glove and red bow, Minnie's, on the ground, lost...

Back in the Caterpillar Room, We find Pluto seen to be whimpering in sadness, looking at the door where Mickey, along with Minnie and Figaro went out of a few minutes ago. He can't believe his mouse buddy, gal and cat friend are gone, out of his life forever.

"Everything will be okay, Pluto." Lola came over and comforts the dog for missing their other toy family members.

"Yeah, Mic will be going to college with Tommy, plus Minnie and Figaro will keep him company." Bugs said this off with a nod. "That's what they always wanted, right?" The rabbit space toy tried to look at this as a half full glass moment.

"Oh brother, crazy mouse, now crazy mice, that's what they are!" Donald exclaimed in annoyance over what their mice pals gone and did. "Dumb palookas. College is no place for toys!" The duck remakes off the fact about toys going to college.

"Donald's right fellas! Toys are for playtime!" Daisy exclaimed to say in agreement. Why would anyone want to give up playtime for college? Doesn't make any sense to them.

"Well, maybe there is a college to make toys...right?" Pinkamena stated this as a fact to consider.

"That's right, if grown-ups don't make toys for kids, who will?" Pinkie Pie panics to say this.

"Relax darling, we're not going that deep." Rarity issued off to simply state this fact out.

"Right, cause with these awesome details, can't be left out." Rainbow Dash showed off her stuff in looking awesome.

"Too bad they can't fix yer ego." Applejack rolled her eyes to say this.

"Alright everyone, let's not point fingers or hooves at others." Twilight was trying to keep things as smooth as can be.

"Right, soon we'll be played with for the first time in years." Spike stated in what they will do here.

"So excited for your first day?" Starscream said to the other toys.

"Yeah, we sure are doc." Bugs said.

"Great I'm glad you're all eager." Starscream said smiling through he turns his head and murmurs. "I doubt that's going to last."

"What was that?" Daffy asked concerned one what the Transformer toy said.

"Nothing, perfectly fine." Starscream said backing away with a smile but under the smile was a nervous one.

"Speaking of playtime, they're lining up out there!" Iago exclaims off eagerly, as the Toy parrot is looking out the window at the playground. Kids are heading back inside! Recess must be over out there.

"How many are there?" Bugs asked Iago eagerly in watching how the situation is looking.

"Must be dozens of those kiddies!" Iago pointed out how many he's seeing.

"Wow, we'll probably be doing a large group activity of play action!" Oswald exclaimed in what this might mean for them.

"Oh boy, oh boy, I can hardly wait!" Willie squeals with delight in hearing this. The giant toy is going to be played with at last and so will the others too.

"All right, take your places, everyone!" Bugs exclaim to his friends excitedly of their routine. He and most of the toys take their places for playtime. The Space rabbit and his Looney Tune Squad look most excited. Sure, Mickey is gone, but daycare is a great place! The ones who are staying will be having a great time here forever!

"Um, Bugs, where are the other toys besides us?" Golden Heart asked off in noticing something off. Even Gold Wing screech in noticing something off.

Bugs looks around in noticing something that bothered him and his squad pals. The other toys in the room besides Tommy's bunch were not coming out, but seem to be...going into hiding. Toys like Yakky Doodle, Kermit the Frog, Glove (from Yellow Submarine), and Sally the Rag Doll are hiding while some, like Winnie the Pooh, Sonic the Hedgehog and Scrat are rushing off, hiding in fear.

"Hey, shouldn't they be pre-pre, pare-air-and organization-ze....getting ready?" Porky asked off puzzled by this strange preparing for playtime.

Bugs upon noticing all the toys hiding sees Starscream climbing a ladder and said, "Hey Starscream, why are all the toys hiding?" He also noticed the toys back had several scratch marks but they were hard to tell what caused them be it a child or another toy. "And what happened to your back?"

"Oh well...first question you will find out in a short while, wanted to tell you but it’s more believable to see it with your own eyes." Starscream said still climbing. "And for my back....I rather not say....good luck on your first day!" He then finishes and hides out of sight from any child who would find him.

"Um, does anyone else hear the strange foot work approach that sounds a bit...more wild for average kids?" Penelope asked off in hearing the sounds of what sounded off.

Something isn't right here as some managed to noticed. The bell rings as kids are heard shrieking with footsteps thundering off like a wild animal pack in a threateningly approach of Wild Buffaloes.

"That sounds as if the children are more younger our age restriction, like...Hugh!" Nicole was about to explain in approaching the spot to having heard the children's wild voices to know something, but was cut off but Unknown pulling her arm without warning.

"We have to getaway, before the Toy Ragnarok occurs!" Unknown issued this off to take the fragile electric Lynx girl toy out from what will be something that could be harmful to toys like Nicole if not careful.

"Wait, what did he say there....it's like he can tell something bad is coming!" Daffy questioned in seeing Unknown and Nicole bail out to hid in the shadows quickly while overhearing that discussion. "Wait, the strange less toy act, the unfeeling motion in the air means...uh oh." Finally, Daffy yelps in now realizing what may be coming for them, but none of them will react fast enough to getaway.

"Fee five foo fum! I'm gonna be played with at last!" Willie rush to the playground door while squealing in excitement.

"Uh, Willie?" Bugs was slowly calling out to Willie in concern. Something tells the toy that there's a good reason why the toys of this room are terrified, and for the evidence & what Unknown said in sounding serious could mean...something bad was coming their way....

"Hah-hah, come to Willie, kiddies!" Too late, as Willie was near the door in awaiting to be 'played' by the children of the daycare... Too bad that wish shall be something he and the unfortunate ones will regret partaking in...

"Goldie, Gold Wing, we need to hide now!" Pinkamena exclaims to Golden Heart and Gold Wing in horror.

"But sister they're just little kids." Golden Heart said in concern, wondering what's the big problem is.

"Well what happens when you mix toys with daycare kids who throw and thrash around with anything they grab?!"

His eyes widen as Gold Wing shakes. Now he remembers!

"Where will we hide?" Golden Heart ask Pinkamena in concern.

She looks and sees a place to hide. Pinkamena calls out, "You two, follow me quick!"

Golden Hearts nods and follows her with Gold wing keeping his grip. She slides though and Golden Heart slides, Gold Wing ducks and both barely get though.

Suddenly, the door bursts open causing poor Willie to get swatted across the room. Soon, all heck breaks loose as a bunch of toddlers rush into the room, squealer and hyped up. Seeing there was no way out, Bugs goes into Toy Mode along with his squad, ready to embrace the carnage.

The kids soon jump onto the new toys like wild monsters on meat, snatching them up like mad. Two wild kids are stretching Goofy like mad until his coil goes haywire. Another one holds Lola around like an airplane with a boy smashing Donald Duck onto a table, causing his pieces to go flying all over.

A boy meanwhile smashes the toy train, with Daisy Duck riding in it, into a wall, causing it to collide and knocking the female duck toy out. Another kid are crushing the Duck triplets: Huey, Dewey, and Louie with his butt wildly.

There was even a fat little boy with greasy fingers playing with Penelope with Daffy & Porky together...but then a tummy girdle is heard, which the boy belch on the space toys with stinky breath and slobber. Oswald found himself used as a hammer to pound his head on a toddler tool toy.

One girl grins with a blank mind as she pick Bugs up and takes him to her mouth, the toy watch helplessly as the wild child licks him. Poor Lola finds herself with her hair being put into paint, being used as a brush of all things. Another boy roll a Corn Popper toy across the room with Pluto on it until the dog toy slides off, getting caught into the wheels.

Iago finds himself being bathed in glue and green glitter by two giggling girls. Another kid is 'riding' Willie, causing his two big feet to snap right off during the ride. Donald's parts end up being taken off him by a boy who puts them in his mouth and then his nose.

And the ponies were having their own trouble when wild clay loving kids were making their horses run or roll around in them before making them look pretty. Even Spike found himself on a clay mountain before he was tackled by one kid to where the children made the ponies roll into a large clay blonder going down until splat....

Bugs was being used as a hammer by a girl who hits him onto a square peg into a round hole, then the girl screams as a boy pulls her hair, causing her to chase after the creep and toss the rabbit toy away, with him landing on a window sill nearby.

Bugs soon came to life for a moment as he looks a bit confused. Why are the kids in this Caterpillar Room acting like wild children? Unless...they don't know how to play with their new toys or take care of them...as they are not toddler proof.

Bugs looks across the playground towards the Butterfly Room which doesn't show any signs of carnage or chaos. In fact, Big Fat Baby, Minerva Mink, Newt and the toys in there are being played with gently and with care. Even Scourge himself is being hugged happily without getting torn or worst.

Bugs begins to frown deeply. Why was he and his friends put in a room where the kids are acting like wild animals and not in the Butterfly Room where it's heaven?

But then Bugs yelps as a boy grabs him, pulling him back into the madness. Meanwhile, Unknown watches from a need the shadows of a table with Nicole, seeing their friends be put through such horrors.

"This does not make sense, why are the children here toddlers that are not more developed to take care of their toys?" Nicole stated that from this display, the kids are not playing them as their required measurements.

"This might explain why this is the Caterpillar Room and not the Butterfly Room, these children are not fully knowing of their surroundings." Unknown stated in seeing this room was for the youngest daycare children that are not knowing anything then to play rough and make messes even with their toys.

"Will the others be alright?" Nicole asked in seeing their friends be put through such horrible stuff.

"I assume they will manage to pull themselves together, but they will be sore." Unknown stated in knowing that when this playtime with the toddlers is over, the others will be feeling achy all over.

"There must be an error of where we were meant to be played." Nicole issued in knowing for a fact, this room of toddlers is not the right age bunch to play with them.

"Yes...something tells me that when this play time of carnage is over, we'll need to further understand the situation." Unknown spoke this off in a serious tone, this may require further understanding of what is going on at Sunnyside.

As Nicole agrees, as she tried to talk to the other little toys of the Caterpillar Room, they just left in fear, as if afraid to say anything. This alone made the Lynx girl curious while making Unknown more certain to watch how things develop in seeing there was more to this paradise than meets the eye. As the scene shows that for the rest of the day, the poor toys being played with in the hands of crazy toddler kids was not gonna end...until it was near closing time, which will be nighttime. Hopefully, Bugs and the others will last that long....hopefully.

The three look on as Gold Wing covers his eyes. Golden Heart can only groans, "That is horrible, they could break!"

"The toddlers here never understand toys." Pinkamena said seriously.

Pinkamena hears something and turns getting in a stance but notice ones she and the other two knows. A familiar voice spoke, "Pinkamena, Golden Heart, Gold Wing, you're alive."

"Jack Zen, Autumn Gem, Sombra, Golden Moon and Omega, you're all ok."

The familiar friends of the three came out, shaken but okay. Omega booms out, "We held out and survived but who are those toys?"

"They're our friends there blind by a misunderstanding." Pinkamena explains the predicament to their old friends. Apparently, something has gone bad here big time.

"What happens if Scourge the Hedgehog remembers you three?" Autumn Gem ask seriously, knowing it's going to be a bad time if Scourge recognizes the trio.

"So far the Hedgehog does not. I mean it has been many years since we got out of here."

"We have to help our friends and help you all." Golden Heart said seriously, wanting to help his friends.

"How you know? We kept them busy so you three alone could get away." Sombra said with a sigh, knowing that Scourge may remember the escapees.

"It was really hard anyway." Jack Zen groans, feeling his toy back a bit.

"Well this time, we are taking you all with us together; all of us will overthrow the hedgehog's rule and all of us can leave by our own choice so you're up to it?" Pinkamena ask her old friends in determination. She holds her right hoof out as the others slowly move to her places their right hooves out. Golden Heart does the same and Golden Moon and Gold Wing embrace one another. "Then let's do it once the time comes; we all will be free with our friends."

Yikes! Looks like there's something wrong at the Sunnyside Daycare. In the next chapter, Mickey, Minnie and Figaro are taken to Xion's house where they meet her toys Wing, Sylvester, Namine, Ben10Magician, Tweety Bird, Speedy Gonzalez, Hennery Hawk, Big the Cat, and ponies like the princesses Celesta and Luna, Celestia's son Ben Mare, the fillies Apple Bloom, Sweetie Belle, Scootaloo, and Nyx, and the Dragon Phobos. Read, review and suggest.

There is a reference to Toonfanjoey's planned fanmake of Toy Story with Pooh and Tigger as Woody and Buzz, and Christopher Robin as Andy.

Yakky Doodle, Kermit the Frog, Glove (from Yellow Submarine) and Sally the Rag Doll will be in Toonfanjoey's fanmake of "Toy Story" too as the mutant toys.

In the scene where the toys are hiding from the wild car, Filks made a cameo. Sonic (who placed him in my first "A Bug's Life" fanmake), Winnie the Pooh (who will be Filk in Toonfanjoey's fanmake of the film), and Scrat (playing Filk in another one of ToonFanjoey's planned fanmake of "A BUg's Life") is sharing the role.
