Chapter 3: The Sunnyside Daycare

As Didi was driving on to the Sunnyside Daycare, Tommy's toys, the ponies friends who came in a few minutes ago, gather around another toy friend of theirs that was also going along for the trip; Minerva Mink, who at this very moment, was seen sniffling in sadness. This mink girl looks like the same toy line Bugs rescue team saw at Cartman's Toy Fortress, but she was wearing a workout style gym type dress with leg warmers, etc. And right now, she was in depression as she couldn't believe that her owner, Dil, threw her out without warning...It's just not fair! At the moment, Daisy was patting Minerva's shoulder.

"It's all right, Minerva, you'll be okay. I mean, we've got thrown out too, but we're trying to get through." Daisy was trying to lighten the poor girl for what she was put through.

Minerva nods her head, trying to be brave. "I know, I know that Dil and I have been growing apart for years. Even I know...but I can't believe that he would up and throw me away!" The girl mink was being very aggressive here as she breaks down and cries herself once more.

"Yah, welcome to the club." Donald Duck rolled his eyes when he remarks dryly of seeing they are in the same position.

"What I don't understand is how a boy like Dil had a girl’s toy to begin with?" Rarity asked off a good question puzzling the case.

"Easy, I saw the whole thing when Tommy's pals, two of them were twins, drop Dil on his head as a baby and it did do something to him!" Pinkie Pie pointed out these facts about such things.

"Your still random Pinkie, but I guess Dil grew out of that stage of finding mink dolls pretty." Rainbow Dash shrug off to say this matter.

Just then the box opens up during the moment. Then Mickey, Minnie, Figaro, Bugs & Unknown along with Nicole climbs inside to join those in the box.

"Oh dear, everyone. Looks like we're stuck." Minnie expressed out how things were looking.

"At current speed, we'll reach our location shortly soon." Nicole issued off to explain how long they have.

"Okay fellas, now listen up. We can still get back to Tommy's room, but we must move fast." Mickey explained this to his friends in determination. "Here's the plan. We will hide under the seats, stay there until we get home..."

"Um, what about dust bunnies?" Fluttershy asked off in sounding concern.

"Brother, we'll be sneezing a storm from those things!" Daffy rolled his eyes to quote.

But there was more going on than just the subject of the plan, many of the toys here felt to react a bit tensively to going back when they have just left.

"Haven't you got it through your vinyl noggin yet, Mickey Mouse? Tommy doesn't want us anymore! End of story!" Donald exclaimed off to snap at the mouse toy for being so pigheaded.

"Oh for the love of cheese...Tommy was putting you...in the attic!" Mickey Mouse moans off to tell his friends of the misunderstanding.

"He left us...on the curb!" Lola scream at Mickey's face as if going toe-to-toe with the mouse that won't give it a rest.

"Cease this petty argument at once!" Unknown came between Mickey & Lola in stopping this scene. "Don't you see what is going on here? You’re letting yourselves go over who's right & wrong! When truth of it is you’re not considering the possibly that both courses are tearing what little friendship you each shared." His words seem to help stir a motion for some, but many let blindness overtake them.

"Figures that a toy who doesn't show his face stand against us with stuff we unknowingly can't followed." Iago rolled his eyes remarked in seeing how this hooded toy was making things.

"I think he's saying that you shouldn't go mad like the time you misconfused Mickey with Bugs long ago." Pinkamena spoke off to mention this.

"Before you ask, we heard about the moving day thing." Golden Heart pointed off to mention this.

"Okay, calm down, all of you docs; Ladies & Germs!" Bugs exclaimed off to step between any more fights breaking out. "We aren't going to have a fight on our way to the daycare!"

"That's w-w-we shouldn't resort to it." Porky was stating in agreement to.

"Plus, I doubt we steal a car to go back like the other times." Penelope shrug off to remind everyone of such an event.

"Oh brother! You know what, I give up!" Mickey sighs to exclaim in annoyance. "Wait until you see what daycare's like." The mouse toy pointed out if no one listens, then they will see things for themselves.

"Dugh, why's that Mickey? What is daycare like?" Willie the Giant asked off in being a bit concerned with worry.

"Oh I heard stories. It's made to be like a sad and lonely place for washed-up old toys who don't have any owners anymore!" Mickey explained this out for his friends to see that daycare is like a retirement home for old toys that can't be played by their owner for the rest of their lives or make a special connection.

Hearing that has made Minerva Mink flinch a bit, then break into tears like mad once more, apparently the girl is still not over being donated and sent to what Mickey described.

"Whoops, we forgot about her!" Spike yelped in seeing they should have spoken their words carefully.

"Well aren't you the charming mouse?" Iago remarks sarcastically, seeing Mickey wasn't seeing that unlike the rest of them, Minerva Mink WAS accounted as a washed up toy.

"Oh, Mickey, I think you have to be careful with what you say." Minnie expressed concern that they hurt someone unintentionally.

"Gosh, sorry Minerva! But just the rest of you wait." Mickey expressed an apology while getting back on topic. "Once we all get to Sunnyside Daycare, you will all beg to come home!" Mickey smiled off in having confidence about this.

Suddenly the car hits a bump making Mickey tumble a bit. Unknown managed grab Nicole before she hurt herself, Daffy & Porky fell onto each other in a funny way. The gang has arrived at Sunnyside, a modest center like place which is a block building with bright, kid-friendly murals.

Once Didi stops her car, she took the box out and carry it across the lots. The toys look through the hand slots to see if daycare is as terrible as Mickey said it was. But, some of what they see...isn't all that bad.

"Dugh, does anyone see anything?" Willie asked curiously in being concerned.

"Look, I see a playground!" Lola exclaims this off I n glee. Sure enough, the gang can see through fencing glimpses of kids and playing while laughing. Most of the toys look at each other excitedly. "We hit the jackpot, Pluto!" She pet the dog in seeing what they have found.

"'Sad and lonely', eh Mickey the Mouse?" Iago sarcastically asked this off to Mickey amusement. "I think those toys you spoke to were lying or exaggerating!"

"Alright fellas, calm down." Mickey said in trying to calm the group down. "Let's try & keep this in respective." He doesn't want everyone to start thinking this was a sweet place without fully exploring the surroundings.

"Respective, my webfoot! This place is perfect!" Donald Duck scoffs in amusement. Once again, to him, the mouse toy is wrong.

"Dugh they are right Mickey, this place looks nice! Looky at the doors, they has a rainbow on it!" Willie exclaims with a smile on his face as Didi and the box are approaching a pair of doors with a rainbow symbol on them. Looks like the toys will have a nice time here after all!

Didi arrives at the glass doors to the daycare. Inside, the receptionist, a woman named Tifa Lockheart, was typing at a computer until she spots Didi and pushes a button, allowing the doors to open to allow her in. On the counter playing with a toy named Psycho Mantis is Tifa's daughter. She is short, has black hair, blue eyes and is wearing a blue shirt, pink shorts and sandals. Her name is Xion.

"Hey, Tifa." Didi greets Tifa as she come up to the counter.

"Didi, it's good to see you again after so long." Tifa said, smiling as Didi put the box onto the counter. It's been a while since the woman dropped her kids here at the day care. "So what brings you around?"

"Oh, just dropping some toys off." Didi said with a smile. Upon spotting Xion, the woman adds, "Ah, Xion. Is that you? Look how big you are!

Xon of course looks up, looking shy, much to the notice of the toys inside the box. That girl is shy around adults.

"Come on, Xion, say hi, sweetie." Tifa said to Xion with a smile.

"Hi." Xion said shyly as she goes back to playing.

"So how are Tommy and Dil doing nowadays?"

"Oh, wonderful, but they aren't little anymore." Didi said with a happy giggle. "Tommy is heading off to college on Friday. Can you believe it?"

"Oh, I can." Tifa comments while opening the box. Xion, curious, wishes to get a look at the toys but she couldn't see anything. Her mother looks in, asking, "So they won't miss any of these?"

"I will be honest, not really. My kids haven't played with these toys in a long time. Why, your daycare should allow the other kids to enjoy them as they used to."

Soon Didi leaves as Xion folds up the box flaps; the adult woman then begins carrying the new toys down a hallway. The gang peek out curiously, looking for any sign of kids.

"Any sign of kids yet fellas?" Daisy Duck asked her friends quietly for an answer.

"Where are they taking us, Dugh, cause I don't know?" Willie asked quietly in being curious here.

"Remain calm, nothing has happened yet..." Unknown issued in trying to keep things calm.

While Unknown was calm about this, Mickey was concern to peek out the box while Minnie watched with worry. Minnie probably figure that Mickey was lost if daycare was not as bad as it was made to believe...what will they find once they are alone without humans around to watch over them?

Inside some sort of classroom called the Butterfly Room, Tifa took the box onto the counter before leaving the room. Once she's gone, the toys look through the hand slots for a view of where they are.

"Look!" Lola exclaim s this off excitedly.

"Wow!" Donald exclaims to say this with a smile.

"What? What is it? Dugh, I want a see!" Willie asked anxiously in wanting to know.

The toys took one good took at the classroom. It is filled with four and five year old kids, like a girl named Tigress and another one named Kimi Watanabe Finster playing with various toys, like monsters, a baby doll, a hedgehog, a toy that looks like a dog, and more. Most of the toys look amazed. This can't be the same bad place that Mickey spoke of!

"Aaargh! I can't see!" Willie exclamation impatiently as the toy giant wants a good look after all!

Soon a bell rings as a teacher named Madison Taylor opens the playground doors while announcing this. "All right kids! Recess, come on!" It was time for all the kids to play outside.

The kids cheered in hearing this, as they rush outside onto the playground. Madison turns around to turn the lights off as she shut the door behind herself. Soon all is silent, no one is in the room.

"Identifying area...logical scans determine this location...looks nice enough." Nicole said thoughtfully in observing the area.

"So what do we do now?" Iago asked off his friends in what happens next.

"Isn't it obvious? Let's get back to Tommy's room!" Mickey exclaim impatiently that they have to get back. "Is there an exit around here?" He asked in hoping to find an exit door.

"Ha! You can do forget about the exit!" Donald scoffs rudely about the idea. "Let's get played with!" The duck wants to be played, it's been so long.

"Eh docs, we better tread carefully. These toys might be jealous of newcomers!" Bugs said to his friends in precaution of having BEEN new to a room of toys before, they may act strange.

"A wise suggestion, these toys may live by their accordance when a new toy appears and may tend to cause trouble without knowing it." Unknown spoke wisely on the subject of the case.

"Doesn't that sound familiar, Mickey?" Minnie asked towards Mickey, reminding her love of when he got jealous of Bugs Bunny once when the two toys first met.

"Aw come on Minnie, let's not go into details, please!" Mickey exclaimed off with a groan. The mouse toy is not in the mood to be reminded of the event that almost made most of his friends tried to kill him once when Bugs came into the picture.

"Dugh, me wanna see too, my turn!" Willie exclaimed off excitedly. He press in, causing the toys to yelp. His body is crushing some of the others a bit and is unbalancing the box!

"Argh, Willie with them big feet!" Bugs exclaimed off to Willie in alarm.

"Whoa!" Goofy exclaimed in alarm as the box is about to fall off the counter itself.

"Hey!" Iago exclaim in annoyance in feeling what was going on.

Soon the whole box tilts and falls off the counter. Upon hitting the floor, it opens up, spilling the gang up. While the rest fell on the floor, Unknown flipped upwards to land in being ready of what they may come across. As the got up, they saw the daycare toys, now moving with no owners in sight, looking at them in surprise.

"Uh oh, do you think they might not like us?" Spike asked off worried in seeing this.

"Um, greetings...we come in peace?" Twilight tried to be like a princess to greet some large toy crowd, hoping they will be welcomed.

And the response was...this.

"New toys! Hooray!" That was when a new a toy named Bozo the Clown exclaimed this happily of seeing new toys before their eyes.

Soon the daycare toys cheers and bursts into smiles as they rush over to Tommy's toys to greet them. Looks like Bugs' warning was not needed after all. These guys seem to like new toys, especially toys like Ansem the Wise who is on a shelf nearby.

Lola grins as she shakes hands with two toys while exclaiming this. "Hey, hello! Glad to meet you!" The one the girl rabbit was speaking to was a large man in a gray rhino suit who appeared muscular you and bulky. His name was, well...Rhino.

Bugs & the rest of the Looney Tune Squad happily extends their hands to a toy. He appeared like some gray robot from the future, with a yellow bulb eyes and antenna on his head. His name was Bender, a type of bending toy that, well bends a few things.

"Hello! Bugs Bunny, at your service!" Bugs exclaimed forth as he shook Bender's three finger hand while a Koopa passed by in the background.

Iago, Goofy, & Minerva Mink shakes with another toy with the parrot exclaiming this. "Oh boy, you're a friendly one' aren't you?" The toy that the trio were meeting was a sea theme toy with stretchy tentacles, but the upper half was of a female. Her name was Ursula, and she had plenty of hands to shake around.

As Willie laughs while being surrounded by adoring little people toys, another toy is helping Daisy Duck to her feet. It was a Tasmanian devil of brown fur, sharp teeth, and well, kinda cartoon like. His name is the Tasmanian Devil but some can call him Taz for short.

"Oh. Why thank you. Say, may I?" Daisy replied of before she asked this with a smile as she motions to Taz's arm. Taz reflexes a bit to allow the female duck to feel his arm while giggling. Donald frowns at this, a bit jealous as he flexes his own arm. The thing sags a bit as he's not a muscle theme.

"The Claw!" Huey, Dewey, a Louie looked at a Manticore in amazement to exclaim what he had that the ducklings seen once before.

"Currently info about a dark and gloomy location is outdated as our destination seems to be the opposite. Information may have been misinformed." Nicole issued off in seeing how things look to them was this daycare was a nice place.

Mickey frowns a bit, so it looks like his statement was wrong, could it be any harder?

Just then a honking noise is heard. Everyone turns to see a toy truck racing forward and backing up in a quick 10 arc, revealing the green hedgehog anthromorph. He's an American plush toy that seem an old rowdy in the day, but now he seems older, even holding a cane.

The hedgehog taps on the truck, causing the bed he's riding in to rise up and 'dump' him out. With a cheerful personally, the hedgehog exclaims a greeting. "Hello! I thought I heard new voices here! Welcome to Sunnyside, everyone! My name is Scourge the Hedgehog, but call me Scourge if you want, it's shorter after all!" He issued is off to the new comers.

"Bugs Bunny & my squad mates! We come in..." Bugs begins to say as he offers a hand, only he yelps in alarm. Reason was when Scourge grabs him and put Bugs into one smothering hug.

"Sorry. I guess I should've warned you newbies this first. First thing you should know about me: I'm a hugger!" Once Scourge is done hugging Bugs, then did the same to Daffy, Porky, and Penelope, the hedgehog was done giving hugs, and looks at the other toys. "Well, look at y'all! You look like you've been through a lot today!" Scourge addressed off in knowing what some of the new toys gone through.

"Oh it has been terrible!" Daisy exclaimed off in sadness.

"Brother, an Ah thought Rarity was dramatically." Applejack rolled her eyes at having heard that claim.

"Don't worry, you're safe now, all of you. We're all castoffs here at the daycare. Most of us have been dumped, donated, yard-saled, second-handed and got thrown out. Though I assure you, being donated is the best thing that ever happened to you folks, just you wait and see, heh heh heh!" Scourge spoke off in being the reasonable old hedgehog to new toys that got here.

Mickey scoffs in disbelief in finding what Scourge said sounds hard to believe.

"Dugh, mister Scourge, I got a question. Um, do toys get played here every day?" An excited Willie steps up to ask an important question.

"All day and five days a week!" Scourge announce off to say, making the new toys excited. It looks like that this place is a dream come true after all!

"But when the kids grow up, what then?" Lola asked off a question that worried her. Scourge on the other hand chuckles, figuring that she would ask that question eventually. So the hedgehog goes up to a wall of day-care photos of past classes.

"Let me tell you a secret: when the kids get old, we get new ones. When they get old, new kids replace them and so forth. And let me tell you all this: there is no chance of you folks getting outgrown, neglected, abandoned or forgotten! With no owners, that means no heartbreak indeed!" Scourge explained that the way things work, one can be played and never feel their hearts break when a child grows up.

The toys look overjoyed and excited. Even Reasonable toys like Mickey, Minnie, Nicole, the ponies, even Unknown will admit, what Scourge said does sound promising. After all, kids playing with them every day means no chance of owners, so to speak. Still, there is something that felt like Mickey shouldn't play along with something that sounded too good to be true.

"All right!" Lola cheers wildly in having learn this news from Scourge.

"It's a miracle!" Daisy squeals in glee, this daycare place is a utopia.

"And you wanted us to go back to Tommy's place and be in an attic," Donald remarks to Mickey in amusement as the mouse toy was outdone by that which was not sounding terrible to them.

"Well, duh, we're Tommy's toys!" Mickey reminds Donald in annoyance of this. Have almost everyone here forgotten about Tommy while getting caught up in the future of living at daycare, really?

Scourge, putting his arm around Mickey, grins as he asked this question. "So, it's this 'Tommy' who up and donated you all, eh? Well, it's his loss, mouse boy. He won't hurt you all anymore." Scourge issued in seeing that new toys may have felt like they lost out on a kid, but here, they won't feel heartbroken.

"Wait, there is more to it than that!" Minnie begins to object to the statement. The hedgehog obviously doesn't know the misunderstanding and such. Of course, he cuts the girl off before she could begin to explain.

"Now then, let's get you all settled in. now let's get you all settled in. Oh, Newt? Newt! Where is that toy? Newt! We got new toys here!" Scourge was speaking off while trying to look for someone, but shook his head in seeing the Newt toy is not around.

"I take it this someone is important that you want us to meet." Unknown spoke off in sounding a bit curious about who they are looking for.

"Yep, he's one to help show new toys around, especially toys like you all." Scourge pointed off as he was leading the gang to follow him.

As Scourge shows them around, a voice said "So, got a couple of new toys Scourge?" Everyone looks to see a figure like Unknown but had Talon Claws.

Unknown realized who it was but before he could say the Mane Six ponies said "Hooded! We thought we wouldn't see you again!"

"Wait you know him?" Mickey asked still surprised there were two Unknowns

"Yeah, Hooded, I guess, is the same toy line as Unknown, he was a toy at Cartman's store but he was unsold for a long time." Twilight explained "He visited us in Eric's office sometimes"

"Yeah I was sold two years ago, I'm now Xion's toy." Hooded said and shows his foot which read "Xion" on it to the amazement of the ponies. Hooded then said to Unknown, "Nice to see you again too Unknown."

"Certainly has been a while." Unknown said nodding.

"But hang on suger cube, if yew belong to a kid why are yew here at 'de daycare?" Applejack asked confused.

"Oh that's simple, Hooded here is a frequent flyer here as in his owner brings him here with her." Scourge explained smiling

"Yeah she feels that I give her bravery, but she keeps me in the backpack so as not to lose me, but during recess I come out and mingle." Hooded explained with a smile under his hood. "I don't mind at all."

Soon the group goes near some sort of dream house, where some toy peeks his head out of an upper window. "Far out, hey everyone! Be down in a jiff, Scourge!" The toy responded to say this, as he rides down an elevator of his place before reaching ground level. He opens the door and came out of his place. The toy looks like a blue dog with light blue on muzzle to belly area, black ears, and black tail. His name was Newt, and that's what or whom he was called. "So who's up for Newt's Dream Tour?" Newt asked off with a grin off his cheeks.

"Well, Newt, let's show our friends where they will be staying." Scourge issued to say this to Newt with a smile.

"Right, well, folks, if you just step this way..." Newt begins to speak proudly in looking around at who was here.

But then Newt stops to turn his direction around, gasping upon seeing what is the most beautiful sight ever: Minerva Mink. The girl looks up and sees him, gasping and blushing a bit. Music appears to be playing in the background, called “Take My Breath Away”, as the two toys look at each other. Everyone else watches as Minerva & Newt approach each other with the blushing male.

"Hey...I'm Newt." Newt replied off to greet the pretty mink girl.

"Minerva Mink." Minerva Mink announce herself while blushing a bit. "Have we ever...?" She was about ask something, but was cut.

"Met? Nope. Otherwise I would've remembered you!" Newt slyly remarks off to say, making Minerva Mink giggled a bit. "Love your leg warmers." He issued off in what he liked about this girl mink.

"Nice robe. Hee hee." Minerva Mink replied of in liking what this toy was wearing.

Scourge decides that it's best to snap Newt out of love blind moment. "Newt! Come on, recess won't last forever, you know!" Scourge cuts in to the little love at first sight between two toys with something to get done.

"Oh, right, right. Good point, Scourge. Ahem, right, well this way, everyone." Newt announces forth as he extend an arm to Minerva Mink who giggles as she takes it. The female toy is liking him already while forgetting her past troubles all at once.

"Everyone, we've got a lot to look forward to here at Sunnyside. The little ones should love their new toys." Scourge leads the excited toys away with Willie, Bugs, Mickey, Minnie, & Unknown following along with the others.

"Well now, ain't this doc the nicest hedgehog one ever sees." Bugs smiled off to comment this thing about meeting Scourge.

"He's also the only hedgehog we ever met." Daffy pointed off this statement.

"Dugh, yep, and he smells like chili dogs!" Willie exclaimed off with a smile, Scourge was nice and smelt good too.

Mickey sighs in annoyance in seeing this happen. Most of his friends are really into this daycare place, wanting to just leave Tommy and their old life behind.

"Something wrong Mickey?" Nicole asked off in noticing the mouse toys expression.

"There's just something about this I don't feel like wanting to leave Tommy, is all." Mickey explained himself in what he's feeling may happen when they go on tour.

"Then let us just see what can be found and come to a conclusion afterwards." Unknown spoke true of his words, best they get a full understanding before making any hasty moves. Mickey nods silently in getting the picture, they tour this place to get a view of how things work.

The toys move on through the place with Newt acting like a tour leader.

"Folks, here at Sunnyside, we've got everything that a toy could ask for. Name it and it's yours." Newt explained this out to the group touring with him.

"How about gold & jewels? Riches beyond comparing?" Daffy asked off in a greedy manner.

"Okay, maybe not everything, but close to living the easy life." Newt replied off to say this off sheepishly from the question.

The tour continues to go past shelves with toy supplies.

"We got spare parts, super glue and enough fresh batteries to choke a Giant." Scourge explained off the things they got to make sure any toy that is missing something, they can provide.

"Eep, then Willie would…" Fluttershy yelps of the thought until...

"I believe Scourge was stating that metiforicaly to say the least." Nicole explained this about the term use of that sentence.

Scourge then opens up a closet nearby, revealing some sort area that looks like a spa. Smaller toys, especially Ursula, are fixing up the bigger ones and repairing rips. Most of the toys look impressed, liking this part.

"Worry about getting old? Lost stuffings and such? Dream on! Stop that worrying right now!" Scourge announces with a slight chuckle about such things as losing a stuffing.

"Our repair spa will see to it Lumpy the Heffalump is getting his belly restuffed though he sneezes, causing stuff to fly everywhere.

The toy goes back to Newt's place with the toy gesturing to his home for everyone to marvel.

"As for this place? Well, this is where I live - Newt's Dream House. It's got a disco, dune buggy...and a whole room for putting on cool clothes." Newt explained off in the great things he has just in this home of his.

"Wow, you must have everything!" Minerva Mink exclaim with a glee that this guy must have many things.

"Yeah...everything but someone to share it with." Newt looks down in sadness in he said that as he heads off from here.

Minerva sighs lovingly as if wanting to faint in hearing Newt was looking for someone to fill his loneness.

"Oh, it feels like the time Mickey and I were dating, right Figaro?" Minnie giggled a bit to pet Figaro in remembering how the two mice toys went through something like this.

"Yeah, I do remember that." Mickey responded off half listening as he wants this tour to be over before planning a break to get back to Tommy's home...if they'll listen to leave.

Soon at the bathroom door, Scourge goes to it while looking at the others.

"Now if you need anything, anything at all, come to talk to me." Scourge issued off to announce if anyone needs something, they come to see him.

"Wait a second, your office is in a bathroom?" Daffy raised an eyebrow in finding is strange.

"Yes, my office is a restroom. Is that a problem for anyone?" Scourge asked off in being curious of what was wrong in his location.

"No, it's…it's...it's nothing, just awkward." Porky held out in meaning no disrespect.

"Right, it seems kinda weirding us girls out especially since...well, if this was both a boys and girls room." Penelope spoke off in knowing this might weird the girls out just a bit.

"Well, Daffy and Penelope may have something. Wouldn't it be awkward to have your office in a bathroom?" Minnie ask Scourge awkwardly.

"What better place to hide a toy office than in a place folks hardly visit? Besides, since when do toys need to use the restroom?" Scourge lightly joked off to mention this then chuckle.

"Unknowingly, it does make a valid point to run a clean operation." Unknown held his chin to ponder this sorta work...the old hedgehog knew just what he was doing it seems.

Scourge taps on the door with his cane, causing it to be opened up, revealing the same egg shape baby toy from before, wearing nothing but a diaper and he got a lazy, drooping left eye. The big baby peers out at the toys who look at him in wonder.

"Gawrsh! That is one big baby!" Goofy exclaim to the big baby in amazement as they never seen a big toy baby before.

"Thank you, Big Fat Baby. How come on out, so you can meet our new friends?" Scourge ask Big Fat Baby with a smile. The baby toy came out as his friend put an arm around him. "Poor Big Fat Baby. We were thrown out together, me and him, abandoned by the same owner! It's a tragic tale." Scourge expressed out in knowing how the two went through life.

“Excuse me, but one of his eyes is half-shut.” Oswald said, noticing Big Fat Baby’s left eye.

"Um, question. What happened to his left eye?" Spike asked Scourge in concern to the big baby's left eye looking busted.

"A terrible accident happened along the way, best not to go into details." Scourge said off to sound sad over what happened as he leads the toys through the bathroom. "Anyway, we don't need owners here at Sunnyside. We own ourselves, be masters of our own fates! We control our own fate!" As Scourge spoke, Donald Duck yelps when he slips and falls, losing his parts in the progress. "Oh, watch out for puddles." He pointed that out about watching out for such things.

"Dog darn it, warn a duck!" Donald exclaimed out to say to Scourge in annoyance.

"Who here spilled water here?" Pinkie Pie asked off puzzled.

"I know the answer, but it would be better if this was an answer...to not really know." Nicole issued off from having gaze at the puddle to Big Fat Baby, and...well, many got the picture.

"Brother, are you gonna need to be wash & rinse out." Daffy pointed this out to tease Donald, much to his anger and annoyance.

Scourge now takes the toys to a new classroom that can be accessed via his other 'office' door, called the Caterpillar Room, where the toys here are scuffier and more toddler appropriate to play with.

As the toys enter the other play room there was a silver jet transformer who looks and sees them, "Oh Scourge, new toys."

"Indeed, everyone this is Starscream, he is in charge of making sure everything here shows spirit." Scourge explained smiling.

"Indeed, and good thing too; been a while since we had new toys here." Starscream said a bit nervous.

"Now, you folks will be staying in here: the Caterpillar Room." Scourge announces with a smile in where the toys new here be staying.

Tommy's toys look up in awe and a bit of amazement. There's kid stuff in the Caterpillar Room with tiny tables, chairs, finger paintings, wood blocks, banners of the alphabet, wire cubby bines. Looks like the Butterfly Room when one would think about it, but in a different theme.

"Wow, check this place out!" Lola exclaimed off to say with a smile.

"By Warner Bros Studio!" Bugs exclaimed off as he whistles in amazement. This room is like the Butterfly one, that's for sure.

"Oh boy, oh boy, we hit the Jackpot!" Donald exclaimed to say this with a smile. The toys will love spending the rest of their life in this room, that's for sure.

"Whoa, Gawrsh!" Goofy exclaim happily in seeing where they'll be.

"Dugh wow, this is, well, pretty amazing!" Willie exclaim in agreement of what they are seeing. Already, what Scourge has told them and shown off for them. It's like being donated, sorta speaking, is the best thing ever to happen to them.

A toy train goes through the room, blowing its whistle with the ducks looking around in wonder. "Oh, this is so beautiful!" Daisy does her best not to cry, but this seem like paradise.

Well, eve Mickey, Minnie & Figaro were awestruck. This place does look good...for toys who are willing to give up their nasty owners. Nicole seem intrigue by how different rooms separate children to further study them. Unknown was curious of how long it may have taken to make such a daycare be such a wonder for toys that never wanna leave. Suddenly, something felt nudging at the mice toys while making a ringing noise.

"Huh, what?" Mickey ask puzzled. He and Minnie turns to see a Coyote on a mechanical race car with a built in GPS radio speaker to talk into and out. The toy was not only nearby, but bumping into Mickey and Minnie: his name was surprisingly...Coyote. Apparently, this guy must be excited to meet them or something.

"Ah gosh, hey there, big guy! How are you?" Mickey asked off, he wish to shake hands with Coyote.

Then the mice toys noticed, Coyote looks concerned and trying to leave. Weird. What's wrong with him? Figaro meows in not following that action at all.

"Hmm..." Unknown hums to himself in noticing that act as if there was something that they were not familiar with.

"So tell me, how long since you all got played with?" Scourge asked off the newcomers curiously this question.

"Gwarsh, I guess it's been years for us." Goofy explains to Scourge with a sigh of when they last played.

"Heh heh. Well, just you guys wait. In a few minutes, that bell will ring and you will get the playtime that you've been dreaming of. I personally guarantee it." Scourge issued off that son, this group will be played by children once the bell rings.

"Play, real play! Oh goody-goody!" Willie exclaimed excitedly I hearing this. "Oh boy, I can hardly wait!" He expressed his urge to be played.

"I'm glad to hear that. Now if you excuse us, we got to get going and heading back. Welcome to Sunnyside, everyone." Scourge said this off, as the hedgehog goes back into his truck, preparing to head back to the Butterfly Room. The toys, most of them, waves to the hedgehog happily.

"Thank you!"

"Hey, thanks a lot, hedgehog bud!" Iago exclaimed to say with a smile. This is perfect! No worries about getting tossed out, abandoned or not played with anymore, it was perfected.

"Take care, spiny." Donald remarks off in amusement to say.

"Goodbye Mac, and thanks for the room Scourge." Bugs announced this with a grin. Looks like most of the toys are eager and ready to play once more.

"Goodbye!" Daisy exclaim with a smile to say farewell to the one who helped them.

Minerva Mink turns to Newt as if saying goodbye on the end of a first date.

"Will I see you again?" Minerva asked Newt this question, hopefully they will see another again...real soon.

"Well, I will meet you tonight...in my dreams." Newt responded off to happily say this to Minerva Mink happily. Both of the toys stare off, as if about to spontaneously combust or something. They don't want to leave one another. It's too heart breaking to wait long enough to meet again.

"Ah, ma-mar-cou, coup, up-up, young love." Porky expressed out this sight.

"Newt! It's time for us to get a move on!" Scourge exclaim from the bathroom door where the truck is parked at. Having heard to be called in, Newt looks hesitant, until he then grabs the mink girl by the arms. He can't take it!

"Please come with me, Minerva Mink, live with me in my Dream House! It's crazy and I know that we just met and all! But golly-gee, you don't know me from an Avenger toy! But I look at you, it's like..." The guy was expressing off some urge feelings that were bottled up inside as he just wanted this mink and her to him too.

"We're made for each other." Minerva Mink & Newt spoke off at once. Both of them gasp at once, thunderstruck. They are so perfect to each other. Minerva turns to her friends, wanting to see what they think she should do: stay or go?

Lola grins and winks to Minerva Mink with Daisy, Nicole, Penelope, the my little pony girl group, all waving to their friend as if saying 'go' for it'.

"Yes! Yes of course I will!" Minerva turns to Newt to exclaim eagerly of his invite, as she gave a leg kick excitedly. Her friends are allowing her to go with Newt and be with him in the Butterfly room!

"Yes, all right!" Newt exclaim excitedly as he pumps his fist. Minerva Mink is going to be with him! This day is the happiest that he has ever felt in his entire toy life!

"Newt!" Scourge calls to Newt impatiently in seeing how long he's talking to a mink girl toy.

"Coming, Scourge, coming!" Newt respond off happily as he leads Minerva Mink to the truck and they hop in, giggling like a young couple in love.

"I best go too, Xion doesn't stay for the whole day so I have to get back to her bag quickly. Hooded said and nods to Tommy's toys and said, "See ya round." The hooded one then runs off, disappearing from sight.

Scourge shakes his head in amusement at seeing such young loving soul mates making such a scene as he taps his cane, summoning the truck to head off with its riders. Big Fat Baby, the last to leave, closes the door behind them.

Now Tommy's old toys look around their new surroundings and heard kid laughter sounds from outside, the children are playing happily. They turn and goes towards the door, eager to be played with at last.

"Well, I don't need to be a genius to know those sounds like kids to me." Iago said with a grin of what they are hearing.

"It sounds like a lot." Oswald stated in hearing the many voices.

"Oh, Boy oh boy, want to be played with! Why can't time go faster?" Willie asked off eagerly and madly to see time move faster, even Gold Wing screech in agreement.

"How many do you think are out there?" Lola asked off to her friends hopefully. From the sounds of things, must be a lot of kids in the playground outside!

"Oh, just hearing them, they sound so sweet!" Daisy exclaim with a smile of hearing such young kids.

Mickey looked at his friends in concern. So far, it looks like that they are willing to stay here at the daycare, refusing to even return to Tommy. The only ones that seem like they listen were Minnie, Unknown, the Mane Six's group, even Nicole believes in the logic that what happened was an accident. But this was like fighting a losing battle here, if no one else listens.

Still, even Mickey has to try to convince his friends once more. "Okay fellas, look. I admit I was off of what I heard, this place is nice, even I am not stubborn to deny that. But we need to go home." The mouse toy was being honest, he has no problem here, but he really wants to get them home.

"Mickey's right, what if Tommy finds us missing?" Minnie asked her friends in agreement, even Figaro agrees with her.

"He'll likely ask, which will result in him learning of what his mother actually did to you all to be left heartbroken." Unknown explained the case of when the truth is learn by the owner from his mother.

The other awing toys look at each other puzzled. Are their pals still on about going back to Tommy, with Mickey refusing to face reality?

"Mickey, guys we can have a new life here." Lola said gently to get those here to see reason. "A chance to make kids happy once more." She pointed out what new life they have here.

"Gawrsh Mic, she's right, how about you all stay here?" Goofy asked off hopefully that those that are not up with staying should consider it.

"Digit right, stay with us!" Willie exclaim hopefully that his pals will stay.

"Right, you all can be played with and even the two mouse lovers stay together." Donald exclaims to say with a smile.

"It is a fair point. Why bother going back to Tommy anyway? Toys like Mickey & Minnie don't need to be in college at all! That goes for the ponies and Unknown too...I think." Oswald stated off to make point.

"Yeah, Mickey the Mouse. Come on! Join the club here!" Iago issued off to eagerly and excitedly offer the invite.

"Right. Stay here!" Daisy wants Mickey and the others to stay, she's nodding in agreement.

"It's strange, but it's hard to argue against this." Golden Heart stated from how one looks at this.

"Right, think about it, you can make a new kid happy." Lola said with a smile of something the others can do.

"While promising to perform in life, you fail to account one factor. A belief in what those he know." Unknown spoke his wise words in seeing that even from his hidden face, an upset Mickey and a worried Minnie. For being played with again sounds nice and all, but they are still Tommy's toys. Some can't just give up on him after what has happened from one incident alone.

"Unknown's fellas. I can't! I...no, no, guys, I just can't!" Mickey exclaims to his friends in annoyance & protest. "I still have a kid, you all do and it's Tommy!" His pals look shocked at Mickey's protest, doesn't he want to be played with again?

"It's true, if Tommy wants any of us to come with him to college or in the attic...well, our job is to be there for him!" Minnie also agrees with a nod, Figaro meows off in also being heard to agree.

"Oh my, are you all sure?" Fluttershy asked off worried in where this might go.

"Now I'm going back home. Whoever wants to join me can. Minnie, Unknown, Nicole, Bugs and his pals, come on!" Mickey exclaim in determination as the mouse toy begins to head off with Minnie joining in with Figaro tagging along. Unknown sensed that those wishing to return to Tommy knew & believed, Nicole believed in them to join them. However, when the mice turn around again to look back, saw to their surprise, Bugs not going, staying where he's at. "Bugs?" Mickey was left speechless, even Daffy, Porky, and Penelope stood where they were.

Bugs looks concerned, but then sighs as he goes up to Mickey and the others. "Doc., Mic., listen folks.....our mission with Tommy is already over." The rabbit space toy issued off to say to explain.

"Wait, what?" Mickey yelps off to ask in surprise.

"S-s-s-sorry you guys." Porky said in feeling bad about this.

"We really wish it didn't become this way." Penelope stated this off sadly.

"What's important now is that we stay together." Bugs stated, in what's important now is being together.

That, plus the great bargains here. Can't say no to that!" Daffy pointed off to smile at the stuff Scourge showed them.

"Fellas, if it weren't for Tommy, we wouldn't still be together!" Mickey points out to his friends in concern. "Bugs, look under one of your boots. Yours too, Lola! And any of you with it too. Now whose name is written there," The mouse toy issued to explain this.

The other toys stare at the ground, some lift them legs to see what's under their bottom feet or whatever they used for feet. There it was, Tommy's name was written there to state where they belong. But some thought it matter little as their owner tossed them out, no longer wanting to have anything to do with them.

"Well um…maybe Tommy doesn't want us no more?" Willie asked off in concern of the thought.

"Willie, Tommy does want us. He cares about us, he was putting you all in the attic, Minnie, me, Unknown, the Mane Six and their pals; we all saw the whole thing." Mickey said in concern to try to explain this again. "I mean, you guys can't turn your back on him now just because of one misunderstanding. Right Nicole?" He was trying to make a point here for the guys to not turn their backs on their old owner like that.

"It is logical, sometimes, second chances are what many need." Nicole responded off to say this.

"But people change, their hearts change, we can't rule that out." Oswald pointed this out that silenced the Lynx girl toy.

"Mickey, look, I don't want to leave Tommy too, but you got to face facts: our time with Tommy is over. He's grown up now." Lola points out with a sad sigh of what is the truth.

"Anyway, Scourge said that we won't need any owners here anymore." Pinkie Pie pointed this out.

"We won't be tossed out or not played with anymore, it will be like this every day." Rainbow Dash smiled in stating this fact.

"They have a point. He's our friend, he must know what he's doing." Fluttershy stated meekly that Scourge seems to know what to do.

"For some reason, there's something about that hedgehog that I can't put my hoof on." Pinkamena issued off to say this that concerns with Scourge.

"Look everyone, I know Scourge seems like a nice guy and he's painting this place to be a toy's paradise, but I can't help feeling like this place is too good to be true." Mickey said. To him, Scourge made this a great place, but do they wanna give up their owner for it?

"Look, Doc, I respect your right to your own judgements, but you might be wrong about Scourge." Bugs said to Mickey seriously in going to deep into this. After all, why should he be suspicious about a hedgehog who smells like...chili dogs?

"How about this, we'll judge if we like this place or not, and decide then to stay or leave with you...just for a day or two." Twilight offered some solution for the concerning mouse toy.

"Well alright but just remember, when something sounds too good to be true, ninety-five percent of the time, it is." Mickey said with a nod that was firm. After all, what if it turns out that the mouse toy is right and that the daycare is a terrible place?

"Yeah, I suppose that's fair enough." Bugs said with a sigh in what he's saying here. "Alright docs, I'll still keep on the alert." He spoke in what he'll do to help. Penelope, Porky, even a reluctant Daffy nods in saying they'll help to.

"Thanks, Bugs. That's all we ask." Minnie said with a nod at this, at least with Bugs & his squad here, they can keep the others all right just in case of the inevitable.

"Perhaps we should stay as well, to watch from afar." Unknown spoke out in what they best do to aid those that feel they want to stay.

"You sure about that?" Mickey asked Unknown if he's okay, the guy is reliable, yeah, but...

"I trust Tommy, but it's better for more of us to stay and continue to help from afar." Unknown explained his reason to help Mickey's words reach the rest and also to see how things work around this paradise in question.

"I'll stay too, to perhaps explore & learn how such a system was created." Nicole issued in wishing to know more about how Scourge made such a place in which it seems perfect, but like Mickey said...what if it's not perfect?

"Well Mic, I guess this is good bye. I wish you the best of luck." Bugs smiled off to offer his hand to the ones leaving them.

"Well... I hope all of you can be happy here." Mickey said as he and Bugs shake hands...as they parted....

With that, Mickey heads to the hall door to make his getaway. The mouse toy then spots his dog Pluto following him. He obviously wants to go with his friend, still loyal as ever.

"Aw Pluto, no, you need to stay." Mickey said to Pluto with an annoyed sigh. The toy prepares to move on but notices his dog trying to follow once more. "Come Pluto, no, I said stay!" Pluto stops, looking a bit worried by Mickey's tone of voice. "Sorry about the volume...but I don't want you to be left alone in the attic. Now stay." The mouse toy was being harsh cause he wants Pluto to not be alone if the rest stay here.

Pluto looks down in sadness but retreats a bit with Lola putting a consoling hand on him. The toys turn upon hearing keys turning in a lock of a door. Someone is coming in.

"Xion? Xion?" Tifa is heard calling from outside the room. Mickey turns to his friends, as if seeing them for the last time.

"Guys, I gotta go." Mickey said with a nod, as he quickly prepares to take his departure.

"Well I better go along with him to make sure he doesn't get hurt." Minnie said to the others in concern as Figaro held onto the female mouse to tag along; she would have said no, but...oh, she just couldn't.

"Go, and do not worry, eyes will be open to watch everything, friends...to how we all feel about this place." Unknown wisely stated this with the others nodding before they all scattered to hid.

Soon Mickey & Minnie hide behind the door just Tifa came in, looking around for Xion.

"Xion, you in here?" Tifa ask puzzled at the moment as her eyes shift at the daycare center is done with and she must find Xion to take her daughter back home.

Mickey, Minnie along with Figaro sneaks out the door and into the hallway to make their escape. Bugs, Lola, Oswald, the pony gang watch their friends go in sadness. Looks like this is the last time that they will ever see them...or will it?

Looks like the gang is separated for now. Is the daycare the perfect place or is it too good to be true? In the next chapter, Mickey, Minnie and Figaro makes their escape. Then it's playtime for the others, but they find out that the Caterpillar Room may be too rough, even for them! Read, review and suggest.

One of the kids, Kimi Watanbe Finster, reprise her role as Boo from "Creatures, Inc." I would used Marron from "Nightmares, Inc." but as she is also Scourge's former own in this, it would've made things a bit awkward.

Young Tigress also cameos in her, playing the girl from "Slappy's Up".

Ansem the Wise is in the cameo of his role Mr. Ray from "Finding Bart".

The Koopa passed by Bugs when he is shaking hands with Bender cameos the tractor toy, due to the fact that it played one in "Sonic's Cars".

"Take My Breath Away" was used in the trailer for Toy Story 3 when Ken and Barbie meet, while "Dream Weaver" is used in the movie version of the scene.

Lumpy the Heffalump is from the Winnie the Pooh franchise.
