Chapter 2: An Offer Worth Thinking About

An Offer Worth Thinking About

You switched on the light in your small apartment and dropped your suitcase on the kitchen table, making you way for the couch as usual. No mail today either, why would there be? You asked yourself in your head, who would take the time to write to a nobody like you.

Its been years since you last heard from your family, after you left for Manhattan they stopped keeping the contact. Of course you weren't all alone, from time to time you would get into a small chat with some of your old school friends on Facebook or Twitter, but it would usually not last long that the chat was on.

It didn't really bother you that you were this alone all the time, it was how it suited you best and had always been. All you just wanted was something new in your life to happen, and that's where you remembered the strange coin in your pocket. You pulled up the coin at admired it while laying down on your couch, rain had started to pour down from outside of your window.

While the raindrops were banging on the side of your window, you sad there still looking at the coin in your hand, thinking about what the strange man today had said to you.

"Well, to make a long story short. A friend of mine told that you needed some help with your life, that you needed a new chance to start over your life and make it better than what you have now. So she sent me to this would to give you this ONE chance to change everything."

Whatever he had meant it had bothered you all day, almost keeping you from working. And who was this man anyway? You thought to yourself as you turned on the TV to watch the daily news.

***

A loud knock on your door had woken you up, judging by the empty bottle of whisky it had looked like you'd fell asleep while watching TV drunk. Another knock was heard but this time louder and your headache only got worse from the loud noise.

"YEAH YEAH, I'M ON MY WAY OKAY!" You yelled as you lifted yourself from the couch and walked towards the front door.

As you opened the door you were greeted by a familiar person standing in the doorway, it was the same man from work the man with the weird attire. The only thing changed about him was his top hat which had turned into a blue color instead.

"My my, is that how you greet all your guest into your humble home? No wonders you don't get visitors very often, anyway, may I come in?" He said with a soft voice.

"Uhh, sure. But its not like I expected any visitors anytime soon, so I hadn't really cleaned up." You said while moving out of the way, to let your guest inside.

"Ahh, I've tried worse, trust me."

Both of you took seat at the kitchen table, and the man took a quick look around your apartment. His eyes locked onto the empty whisky bottle on the couch table, and then back again to you.

"I can see that you've been thinking about the offer i gave you earlier." He said, pointing at the bottle with his eyes.

"Offer? Oh god, did I sleep for a day?" A faint panic starter to build up inside of you.

"But of course not, there's still a few hours left. I just came here earlier, hoping that you've made up your mind, but clearly I can see that you haven't."

There was silence for half a second before you spoke up.

"I have... And I'm accepting your offer, after all, what do I have to lose?" You said, looking around your apartment once more.

The man stood up from his chair and walked into your living room, seconds after followed by you. He looked around the poor apartment, as if he were judging how much it was worth.

"You're right, what do you have to lose. The only thing you will lose is being alone, sure that's a positive thing to get rid off. Well now, tell me. Are you ready to start over?" He said, turning around, looking deep into your eyes with a small smile on his lips.

"I'm ready, I've been ready for months now just waiting for something to happen... But, what exactly am I going to do?"

The person smiled even more while pulling out what looked like a letter, handing it towards you.

"Now, take this with you and hold it tight, don't wanna lose it if I were you. When you wake up I need you to seek for a pony named Twilight Sparkle, tell that the letter shall be delivered to Princess Celestia ASAP. Umm, was there anything else? Oh yeah, no matter what. Don't freak out..." He replied.

"Wake up? Pony? Twilight Sparkle? Princess Celes...?" Before you managed to finish, the entire room started to spin around and your vision slowly faded as you became more and more dizzy.

"Names Discord by the way, i'm looking forward to see you again!" He yelled, before everything faded and before you knew it, you had passed out. Wondering and dreaming of what just happen.
