It had been four days since Twilight returned and the Apple family was sitting down for supper. Something just hadn't seemed right with Applejack since Twilight had brainwashed the army. Granny Smith had noticed this and she decided she was going to find out. She asked, "Applejack, something hasn't been right with you here lately. What's wrong with you?"

Applejack was nervous but finally decided to live up to her element of honesty. She asked, "You swear you won't tell anypony?"

Granny Smith and Big Mac both swore that they wouldn't tell anypony so Applejack decided to tell them everything. How Twilight had brainwashed everypony else, how she had been pretending to be loyal to Twilight and how she wants to get out of Ponyville. When she told them this both of them gasped. Granny snapped, "And where are we supposed to go?"

Applejack replied, "Look, Twilight will be going to bed soon. Ah think we need to head out west towards Alicorn Island and warn Colgate. Besides, then we can be reunited with Apple Bloom, Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo."

Granny Smith looked at Big Mac and asked, "Big Mac, what do you think? Shall we do this?"

Big Mac enthusiastically replied, "Eeyep!"

They had made their decisions. They began to monitor the activities around Twilight's tower. Finally a couple hours after sunset they saw her turn her light off. Applejack looked at her family and said, "Ahlright, let's go Apples!"

Big Mac and Granny nodded back at AJ and they took off to the west. They knew that they would need to hurry and get to the coast as soon as possible. After three hours of flying at a much faster pace than normal they land at the coast for a snack. Granny asked Applejack, "Applejack, how long will it be until we have to get going?"

Applejack replied, "Well Ah am thinking that Twilight will be getting up in a couple of hours. Ah know how her mind works, if we are still relatively close to the coast, she will send her army after us. If we are further out, she will just let us go."

Very uncharacteristically, Big Mac asked, "AJ, do you even know the way to Alicorn Island?"

Applejack replied, "Don't you worry Big Mac, I know the way!"

After thirty minutes of eating and drinking, they continue their journey to the west. This time they flew a bit slower so they wouldn't use up all their energy. A couple hours later in Ponyville, Twilight woke up. While she was hungry she decided to take a look at what is going around the world. As she scanned the planet nothing seemed out of the ordinary until she looked to the west. There she saw the Apple family flying towards Alicorn Island. This sent her into a rage. She started shouting, "THOSE TREASONOUS ASSHOLES! I AM GOING TO KILL THEM!"

LaurFa heard her going into her rage and headed up to her room. When she arrived she heard Twilight shouting every obscenity in the book. She had a dresser levitated in mid-air and was ready to throw it at the door when she saw LaurFa standing there. She set it down and LaurFa asked, "Twilight, what has you so angry?"

Twilight screamed, "The Apple Family has betrayed us! They are headed to the west towards Alicorn Island. They are probably going to warn Colgate about our return."

LaurFa asked, "How do you know that they are headed that way?"

Twilight's eyes began to shine green and she shouted, "HOW THE HELL DO YOU THINK I KNOW YOU MORON? I TAPPED INTO THE EYE AND SAW IT FOR MYSELF!"

LaurFa screamed back, "You do not need to belittle me like that Twilight. We are all on the same side."

Twilight growled, "I'll do whatever the hell I want. I am in charge and you DO NOT challenge the authority of the Dark Goddess Twilight Sparkle!"

Finally after five minutes of them screaming and yelling Twilight was finally able to shut LaurFa up by threatening to banish her to the void. Things were very tense as the two headed down to the dining hall. Celestia saw Twilight's eyes a darker shade of green than normal and looked scared. Twilight saw this and asked, "What the hell has you so scared Celestia?" She paused and then sneered, "I'm surprised you haven't started bawling your eyes out."

Celestia shied back and replied, "Well I heard all the yelling and saw your eyes are a darker shade of green. What is wrong?"

Twilight decided to calm down since it was time for breakfast. She said, "I will tell all of you after breakfast. For now, let's eat."

After a rather tense breakfast Twilight led her allies and officers into the throne room and slammed the door behind her. She stomped up to her throne, glared at her allies and started, "Ok, you want to know why I'm in such a bad mood? I'll tell you. The Apple family betrayed us last night."

Lieutenant Southern Haze asked, "What did they do to betray us?"

Twilight decided to calm herself down so this meeting would run more smoothly. In a calm but stern voice she replied, "What I think happened is that they waited until they saw all the lights here in the tower turned off and headed west. Applejack knows how I operate so she most likely instructed her family to follow her west in the middle of the night."

Colonel Black Mist asked, "Twilight, where were they when you saw them this morning? Were they quite a ways out over the Pegasus Ocean?"

Twilight replied, "Yes, they were. That is why I did not have us go out after them. We will handle them when they are with Colgate during their attack."

LaurFa asked, "But what about my sister? She will probably just unmake us again."

Twilight smiled and replied, "If we do things just right, she won't be able to do that to us. I have a lot more power now than I did when she unmade us and so should the rest of you."

Galaxia asked, "So what do we do now?"

Twilight replied, "Well now Colgate will know to prepare her forces for war when they return. However, I think that the forces from the north will invade first, so let's prepare for that and then we will prepare for Colgate." She paused for a minute and continued, "DISMISSED!"

While Twilight was concluding her meeting the Apple Family saw Alicorn City off in the distance. Brevity and Scootaloo were out on the balcony when they saw three Alicorns heading their direction. Scootaloo was ready to fire on them when Brevity said, "Scootaloo, stop! It is your adoptive family."

Scootaloo got excited and asked, "Really? Applejack is coming?"

Brevity replied, "Yes, Brevity has a feeling that something bad has happened in Equestria."

The Apples landed on the balcony, Applejack ran up to Scootaloo and said, "Scootaloo! I'm so glad to see you're ok!"

Scootaloo replied, "Why wouldn't I be?"

Brevity asked, "Applejack, what are you three doing here? Has something bad happened?"

Applejack replied, "Yes, something very bad. I think we need to discuss this in a meeting."

The Apples nodded as they followed Brevity and Scootaloo into the throne room. There they were greeted by the rest of Brevity's allies. Before the meeting started though, the Apple Family ran up to Sweetie Belle and Apple Bloom and engaged in a group hug. Applejack said, "Apple Bloom, Sweetie Belle, Ah'm so glad to see you're ok!"

Just like with Scootaloo, they replied, "Why wouldn't we be?"

Colgate approached Applejack knowing something bad has happened. She asked, "Alright Applejack, what has happened?"

Brevity got everyone gathered together and called Applejack up to the front of the room. She asked, "Applejack, what has happened? Brevity wants you to tell everypony what has happened."

Applejack started, "Well everypony, Ah don't know how the hay it happened, but Twilight and her minions have returned."

Brevity was stunned. She gasped, "What? Brevity unmade them, how could they return?"

Applejack continued, "Well Ah don't know what caused it but this green cloud drifted in from the north. When it passed over the very place that they were unmade, five bright balls appeared and out of them came Twilight and her allies."

Colgate got a sick look on her face. She interrupted, "Oh shit, some of my officers might have been right. The fallout from my nuke test in the far north caused them to return."

Brevity snapped, "WHAT? YOU TESTED A NUCLEAR SPELL IN EQUESTRIA?"

Colgate replied, "Yeah, I did. I did it in the far north and that is what caused the void to be torn open. I never imagined that the fallout would drift that far south."

Luna, wanting to get things back in order, interrupted, "Look, we can't go back and change things. All we can do is keep our composure and ready ourselves for a nasty battle upon returning to Equestria."

Brevity still had a vicious scowl on her face but replied, "Luna is right, we have to remain focused." Brevity paused, looked at Applejack and continued, "Besides her returning, what else has happened?"

Applejack continued, "Well she has taken control of the great eye because it is back to being green. From what I understand she nearly killed herself blowing up the doors to the archives and she has brainwashed everyponyelse in Ponyville. Us three were the only ones who escaped falling under her spell."

Brevity replied, "Well at least three of you remain free of her spell."

Applejack finished, "Also, she knows about the return of Sombra, Chrysalis and Cadence so she is preparing everypony for their invasion, which she believes will happen within a couple of weeks."

Brevity replied, "Well good. Now we will know when a good time to leave for Equestria will be. Brevity will use her sixth sense to know when they are being attacked. At that time we will leave."

Everypony agreed with Brevity's plan. While Colgate is officially the one in charge of everything Brevity has knowledge and special abilities that nopony else in the world, perhaps even the universe has. With Brevity on her side, Colgate was certain that they would crush Twilight once more.
