After spending a great part of the day trying to get into the archives, Twilight finally finds the spells she needs to activate the eye for herself and turn it back green yet when she and her allies blew the locks off the doors she failed to think about how she would lock the archives back. As they walked out of the archives LaurFa asked, "Uh Twilight, how are you going to lock those doors back? We had to destroy the locks just to get in there."

This quickly caused a joyous Twilight to get a scowl on her face and go into another rage. She shouted, "DAMN IT! HOW THE HELL COULD WE HAVE FORGOT THAT?"

Her allies saw her begin to glow a dark purple,like she often does when she is deep in thought. She knew that not only would new locks be needed, but new doors would be needed as well. Given that she can create things such as doors and buildings on her own, she created two new doors, one for the Starswirl bunker and one for the main entrance to the archives. Her eyes began to shine a bright green as she pointed her horn at the entrance to the Starswirl bunker. She then sent a gentle beam of energy to the entrance and a new door with a new lock appeared. This pleased Twilight greatly.

She smiled and said, "A-ha! I knew I could do it!" The new lock looked just like the one that Colgate had placed on there, except this one could only be activated by her. Twilight walked up to it, placed her hoof on the lock and the door swung open for her. Like she often does when she does something successfully anymore, she boasted, "You see, as long as I'm taking care of it, everything will be fine!"

After locking up the Starswirl bunker, Twilight motioned for her friends to get out of the archives so she could fix the lock and door on the main entrance. Just as she did before, she began to glow a dark purple and her eyes were shining green as she sent a gentle beam of energy to the entrance. Like last time, a new door appeared with a horseshoe lock that only she could activate. She placed her hoof on the lock and it worked perfectly. Everypony breathed a sigh of relief to see Twilight so much happier than she had been earlier. After locking up the archives she said, "Come on everypony. I'm hungry. Let's go get some supper."

After a relatively normal supper Twilight headed up to what was once again her room and began to go through the spell books and scrolls. She finally got to the first spell she wanted. She pointed her horn at the jade Alicorn and recited the spell, "The jade Alicorn will help me see all, without it I might miss a brawl, while the distances are great, I can see all the hate, wisdom is what comes along with the eye so that overthrowing me nopony will try."

Before attempting to change it back to green she attempted to tap into it and sure enough, she was able to once more see what was going on in the world. She was able to see far off to the west where Colgate and Brevity were sitting down to lunch and were simply talking about the weather. She then began to scan the north, where she could see the Crystal Empire. There she saw Sombra, Chrysalis and Cadence leading military exercises. She was shocked when she saw Cadence screaming and yelling at the royal guard, Flash Sentry in particular for not focusing enough on the task at hand.

She laughed, "Wow Cadence, I never knew you had that in you." She then began to think that when they invade instead of banishing or killing Cadence that she could cast the loyalty spell on her. She was even more amazed when she heard Sombra and Chrysalis referring to her as Commander Cadence. At that moment Twilight knew that if she could get Cadence's loyalty, that she would be a huge asset to her forces.

Twilight then knew that the eye had to be restored to it's original green color. She pointed her horn at the jade Alicorn and said, "The blue eye is not for me, for green is what it shall be, my influence shall return because it is my enemy who must burn, for now my power is complete, nopony will ever compete."

The eye quickly returned to the same color of green that it used to be and everypony in town knew that Colgate was no longer in power. Twilight stood out on her balcony and saw the whole town staring up at the top of the tower and much to her joy, the whole town began to cheer loudly, shouting "All hail the Dark Goddess Twilight Sparkle!"

Twilight was stunned. They were cheering for her despite most of them never even having heard of her. She smiled and waved at the adoring crowd for about five minutes before taking the spell books and scrolls back down to the archives. She felt that she had done her job. That night, for the first time in four millennia, she fell asleep with a smile on her face.
