Five days had passed and Twilight was standing on her balcony when she saw several swarms of soldiers flying into Ponyville. She looked closer and saw that her friends had rounded up all of Equestria's soldiers. She took off towards the base and landed on the platform she had addressed her troops on for three millennia before being banished to the sun. The troops flying in saw the purple Alicorn standing on what they believed was Colgate's platform. They began to fire energy at her believing she was an enemy.

This infuriated Twilight but realized that they did not know she was their new leader. She fired bolts of energy back at them, yet just weak ones so that she would not kill any of them. Finally Twilight's friends got them all down to the base where Twilight addressed them. She began, "Judging by your reaction to me, I take it you think I am an enemy."

Twilight was glaring at them with her green eyes, which struck fear into them. Instead of trying to take her out again they just stood there paralyzed. Twilight decided that lying to the soldiers before casting the loyalty spell on them would be the best thing to do. She continued, "Alright soldiers, I want to let you know that Supreme Commander Colgate has decided to not return to Equestria from the war and has put me in charge."

One of the soldiers asked, "Who are you anyway?"

Twilight, knowing that announcing herself as the Dark Goddess Twilight Sparkle would only cause them to attack her, decided to use a completely different name. She replied, "I am Commander Purple Star. I need all of you to gather together because there is something very important I must say to you."

Another soldier asked, "Why do we have to gather in a specific spot?"

The question angered her but knew that for this to work, that she would need to remain calm. She replied, "You just do."

They moved to the specific spot she wanted them to be. She began to glow and her eyes began to shine as she recited, "From another to me, that is where your allegiance will now be, you thought your old commander loved you like pie when all they wanted was for you to die. With me all shall be great, there shall be no hate."

The energy struck them and was quickly absorbed into their bodies. She decided to add a special kind of energy to this so that they would know exactly who she was. She saw them out there wiping their eyes and she asked, "Who are you loyal to?"

In unison they all shouted, "We are all loyal to the Dark Goddess Twilight Sparkle and no other!"

Twilight began jumping up and down like a school filly shouting "YES, YES, YES, YES!" She then calmed down, looked at her newly loyal troops and asked, 'Alright troops, I'm sure you are all wondering why I ordered the whole military to Ponyville?"

One of the soldiers replied, "Actually yes, I am. Isn't this going to leave us vulnerable to attacks from abroad?"

Twilight, knowing of the world's current situation replied, "No, it won't. The rest of the nations in the world are pretty much in shambles. Besides, there is a huge threat from the north that must be defended against."

Now many of these soldiers had never heard of Chrysalis or Sombra nor did they know that the Crystal Empire ever existed so the Dark Queen knew she would need to discuss things more like she were informing them of completely new enemies.

Twilight started, "Ok, in the far north of Equestria lies a closed off dome empire, it is known as the Crystal Empire."

LaurFa interrupted, "But Twilight, everypony already knows........"

Twilight gave her a glare that could kill so she decided to just be quiet. Twilight continued, "Ok, where I left off. Alright, the Crystal Empire. In this empire there are three leaders, Queen Chrysalis, King Sombra and Princess Cadence, all of whom are our enemies."

A soldier raised his hoof and asked, "Your Majesty, are they related?"

Twilight put her hoof up to her face but knew it would be best if she didn't get upset. She also decided to lie. She replied, "Yes soldier, they are related. Princess Cadence is the daughter of the king and queen and all three of them are vicious and brutal monarchs. Right now they are assembling an army that will launch an assault on Ponyville within the next week or two."

Captain Green Storm added, "So that means we need to start high intensity exercises immediately troops."

Almost immediately her army headed to the base and started the high intensity exercises. While this made Twilight happy, she knew that she would have to tap into the eye so she could monitor everything that was happening in the world. One bad thing though was that she could not remember the spell to get it to work for her. She looked upset as she headed to the black tower. Those who were unmade with her followed her. LaurFa asked, "Twilight, you look upset. What is wrong?"

Twilight replied, "I need to figure out how to tap into the eye again. I have to recite the activation spell so that I can see through it. I'm pretty sure Colgate has that spell hid in the archives."

Celestia asked, "Twilight, do you remember the spell to get in there?"

Twilight smiled and replied, "Luckily I do."

Twilight and her minions headed down towards the archives but would be greeted by a very unpleasant surprise as Colgate had not only changed the locks, she had put a different style of lock on their entirely. Twilight finally gets down to the archives and sees a different style of lock on it. It was in the shape of a hoof, one that matched Colgate's hoof entirely and could only be activated by her.

Twilight saw this and said, "What? I don't remember of this type of lock being on the archives." She frowned and shouted, "Damn it! She just had to change the lock now didn't she?"

Celestia replied, "Unfortunately yes, she did. I don't think the old spells will work on this lock."

Twilight arrogantly boasted that she would just be able to place her hoof on the lock and it would open for her. Galaxia asked, "Twilight, are you sure you should try that. What if it were to shock you really bad?"

Twilight, just like she used to in the old days when some pony would dare say something good about the enemy shouted, "Oh, so you are on HER side huh? Maybe I should just banish you to the void right now!"

Twilight puffed her chest out and placed her hoof on the lock. A huge surge of energy knocked her backwards, slamming her against the wall with great force. Stunned and a bit woozy, Twilight said, "I'm sorry Galaxia, I should have listened to you. We have got to figure out how to open this or I'll never know what is coming."

It took an hour for Twilight to finally get her bearings straight and be able to stand up on all fours. Cosmos got an idea. He asked, "Twilight, I am wondering if all five of us fired our energy at that lock at once if it might shatter it?"

Twilight, wanting to get in the archives no matter the cost, replied, "Sure, why not. What's the worst thing that could happen, we all get knocked backwards and get concussions."

Twilight nodded at her minions and they pointed their horns at the lock. They all began to glow, their eyes began to shine and their cutie marks began to glow. Twilight said, "On the count of three we fire, ONE, TWO, THREE!"

They all fired at once. The release of energy was great, it knocked them backwards and bruised them badly but Twilight didn't care. They were able to blow the lock off the door. Twilight smiled and said, "You see everypony, unless you take a risk you won't get anything done."

They headed into the archives and started going through the books. While she thought she knew right where the right spell was, it wasn't there. Colgate had rotated the locations of the spell books many times over the past four millennia. She then saw the door to the Starswirl bunker. It too had one of those locks on it. Twilight growled, "Ugh, what is she, the most paranoid pony in existence? Trying to blow that thing open in here will either destroy some of the material or the energy will be so concentrated that when it bounces off of it, it might kill one of us."

LaurFa reminded Twilight, "Well you're the one who said that unless you take a risk you won't get anything done."

Twilight knew she was right, nodded at them and said, "On the count of three.....ONE, TWO, THREE!"

They fired their energy at the lock. Given that they were in a much smaller, more confined space, the energy bounce back knocked them into the shelving, causing some material to fall on them. While they did not break any bones, they all stunned themselves. They laid there by the door for an hour before getting up to asses the situation. Twilight was stunned, they were unable to even damage the lock, much less destroy it.

Twilight started cussing up a storm. She went into a rage worse than any other she had ever been in. She shouted at her allies, "GET OUT OF HERE BEFORE I KILL SOMEPONY!"

Her allies got out of the archives and headed back upstairs. Even being up in the dining hall, they could still hear Twilight screaming in her rage. Finally she began to glow brighter than she ever had before, her eyes were shining a radioactive green, her horn was glowing a bright purple and her cutie mark was glowing as she shot the most powerful beam of energy she had ever fired in her life. Her allies heard a crash down in the archives. They went down to check on Twilight and when they got there they found her laying unconscious under a whole pile of books. They were amazed to see that not only had she blown the lock apart, she had blown the door off entirely.

It took Twilight two hours to come to but when she came to and saw that the door was gone she gave a weak smile. She wearily said, "You see, when you take a risk, it is well worth it."

Cosmos said, "Twily, I think you may have given yourself a concussion. We can't have you falling asleep like that. You need to do something to keep yourself occupied."

Twilight's ears perked up, she jumped to her feet and happily said, "That's right! It's time to find that spell and also find a spell to make that eye green again." She started jumping up and down and said, "Yay, I'm so happy! I get to do some studying!" She then tripped over her own feet and fell to the ground. She wearily said, "Well I guess I should wait to jump up and down until I'm more with it."

Colgate's Nuke spell---- "The atoms must be split so I can send my enemies into a pit. The explosion shall be big so my enemies will squeal like a pig. The time has come to make my enemies numb. The big fire shall be great, it shall destroy all the hate."

Fixing spell--- "The city was devastated by a storm, which is not the norm, their suffering is great yet we can not allow normalcy to be late, the city must be restored to the way it was before so they can pay taxes like they did before.

Unlock---"The door is locked, but from me my information is blocked, a lot of learning I have to do, but with this locked I won't have a clue, now the door is open for me and infinite knowledge for me shall now be."
