Colgate had initially caught Twilight and her forces off guard by attacking from the east but very quickly Twilight's troops gained their composure and were fighting to the death. Soon the armor spells on most of the soldiers had been broken and changeling drones and dark Alicorn soldiers began to fall from the sky which angered the higher powered forces on both sides. On the south end of the battle floated a nervous LaurFa, who continued to be tortured by the thoughts that Twilight had done something bad to her in the past. Applejack saw this and could sense the nervous energy from her foe. She flew over to LaurFa and asked, "Why are y'all so nervous LaurFa? Shouldn't you be out fighting? Aren't you afraid your little Twily will punish you?"

LaurFa had an extremely nervous look on her face and replied, "I don't know why Applejack, but I can't bring myself to fight for Twilight. I just feel like something bad happened between her and I, that she did something really bad to me."

Applejack asked, "Are y'all talking about that night in Canterlot when she drained you of all your powers and banished you to the void?"

LaurFa began to tear up as everything began to come back to her. She remembered how she used to be a goddess, the night in Canterlot, being drained of her energy, being banished, Twilight releasing her, her thinking Twilight was her mother, the restoration spells, the loyalty spell and everything else that happened. She flew over to Applejack and instead of attacking her she hugged her. She cried, "Thank you Applejack. Thank you for reminding me of who I really am." She paused and continued to cry, "I used to be a goddess but I'm not anymore. I hate her Applejack, I hate her."

Applejack smiled and replied, "It's alright. You'll help us defeat her and you can take your powers back from her." She looked out towards the battle and asked, "So what are y'all going to do now?"

LaurFa's cries quickly turned into shouts of rage. She shouted "I'M GOING TO KILL TWILIGHT! I'M GOING TO HELP COLGATE FREE THIS WORLD! I'M TAKING MY GODDESS POWERS BACK!"

Before Applejack could say anything LaurFa took off in the direction of Twilight and Colgate. She shouted, "Colgate, move!"

Colgate heard the voice and something in her head said to do as it said, so she moved. Just as soon as she moved a powerful bolt of energy struck Twilight, throwing her backwards. Twilight was stunned as she began to hear a wrathful LaurFa screaming at her cursing her for everything she had done.

Naturally this enraged Twilight. She began firing energy back at LaurFa shouting, "you treasonous bitch, when I'm done with you, you'll be on my dinner plate!"

LaurFa shouted, "You disrespectful little bitch, you thought you could control me forever but NOT ANYMORE. I am free of your control!"

Twilight fired a powerful beam of purple energy at LaurFa, knocking her from the sky. Twilight landed by the stunned LaurFa and asked, "So traitor, who broke you free of my spell? How did you remember who you really are?"

LaurFa stood up, pushed Twilight back and replied, "Applejack is the one who reminded me of EVERYTHING. She reminded me of that night in Canterlot and that brought back everything. You're going to pay Twilight Sparkle. The Goddess LaurFa shall rise once more and free the world of your tyranny!"

Twilight laughed, "You, a goddess? You haven't had goddess powers in 4,000 years and you'll never have them again! You're lucky to have what I gave you."

Twilight's laugh caused LaurFa to go into a rage. She launched herself at Twilight, puncturing her shoulder with her horn but that did not even slow Twilight down. She charged back at LaurFa and rammed her horn into her hind leg. LaurFa began to limp so she took to the sky again where Twilight took after her. While Twilight knew that she could eventually take LaurFa out with her magic she wanted to continue to fight the old fashioned way, as she was getting way too much enjoyment out of it.

Soon Twilight's soldiers were beginning to fight like they did back in the glory days. They were taking out Colgate's soldiers at a slightly quicker pace than they were losing their own. Brevity saw this and was not pleased. While she didn't feel that the time to go had arrived yet. She knew that it may be approaching.

Twilight's friends and allies had gotten into a brutal battle with Colgate's Alicorn allies. Rarity and Sweetie Belle confronted one another. Rarity was shouting, "Sweetie Belle you little tyrant, you do not attack your big sister! Join the side of the Dark Goddess Twilight Sparkle or die!"

Sweetie Belle, who was much more advanced in warfare, fired energy at her sister, knocking her out of the sky. Sweetie Belle swooped down and landed in front of her sister, who had suffered a broken wing and was covered in mud. She laughed, "Oh, you better go wash up, you got mud on you!"

Rarity began to levitate her younger sister and shouted, "I'm not like that anymore. Anything happens in warfare. Join my side or die!"

Sweetie Belle had become more powerful than her sister and easily broke free from her sister's hold. She fired a powerful bolt of energy at Rarity, throwing her clear across Ponyville and breaking her other wing, which basically took Rarity out of the battle entirely. On the northern edge of the battle, two ponies who were once great friends, were firing energy at one another. Commander Scootaloo had confronted Rainbow Dash.

Rainbow glared at Scootaloo and asked, "What happened to you Scoots? You used to be such a nice, sweet pony. Now you're just a bloodthirsty, mindless drone of Colgate's."

Scootaloo was not impressed with this question. She knew she was more powerful than Rainbow and could fly faster as well. She growled, "Me a bloodthirsty, mindless drone? Better be that than fight for a pony who will put you in chains later on!"

Rainbow shouted, "Twilight would never do that! She is as good of a friend as they come!" She then fired a bolt of energy at Scootaloo but missed. Scootaloo fired energy back and struck a direct hit on her former hero. Rainbow was stunned and saw an enraged Scootaloo coming after her.

Rainbow was flying as fast as she could but was quickly kicked out of the sky by Scootaloo. While she could have simply knocked her down with magic, Scootaloo was bound and determined to show Rainbow that she was superior in flight. Rainbow got her bearings straight and took to the sky again, albeit being a bit dizzy.

While Scootaloo continued to brutally kick Rainbow in the head to the point that she could no longer fly, things were not going so well for the rest of Colgate's allies. They continued to fire energy at Twilight's allies but they just weren't strong enough to knock them down. The most they could do was burn them and stun them. Very quickly everything seemed to be getting out of hand. Brevity saw this and decided that she would see if Twilight could be unmade again. She began to glow brighter than a thousand suns, causing the battle scene to be bathed in what seemed to be blinding light. She pointed her horn towards Twilight, who at this point had knocked LaurFa to the ground and recited, "For this object was created in ancient times, long long before nearly anypony's time, the atoms that hold this together are strong but that won't last for long, for what was made can also be unmade for even atoms ultimately will go to their grave."

Her powerful beam of pink energy struck Twilight, but did nothing more than knock Twilight to the ground. Brevity realized that ponies can not be unmade twice. When she saw this so she decided the time for her and her allies to leave this world had come. She flashed her horn brightly three times and shouted, "Come towards Brevity, the time to go has come!"

Things had become really bad for Colgate's forces and even Luna, Scootaloo and Fluttershy who had wanted to fight to the end, knew the time had come to abandon this world. Everypony except one headed towards Brevity when she began flashing her horn, Colgate. Colgate was not about to simply give up as she believed she could still win this. She looked over towards the southern end of the battle and saw Twilight attacking LaurFa. Something within Colgate told her that LaurFa had defected to her side so she swooped down between the two. Her eyes were shining a deep blue and she shouted, "Twilight Sparkle, surrender or die!"

Twilight laughed, "Colgate, don't you see how this battle is going, my forces are decimating yours! Soon all that will be left is you and you will be easy to kill."

Twilight began to mock Colgate and her leadership skills. Rather than screaming in a rage back at her Colgate began to wonder if she could vaporize Twilight's horn. She began to glow a deep shade of blue and her eyes were shining a deep blue as she pointed her horn at Twilight. Twilight in turn began to glow and pointed her horn at Colgate. They fired powerful bolts of energy at one another and they met in the middle. While Twilight thought that with her returning from being unmade that her powers were stronger than Colgate's, she was mistaken, they seemed to be equal.

Both were putting as much power as they could into their energy beams. They were both grunting in frustration and pain as it seemed like they just couldn't put any more energy into their beams. While their energy battle continued Brevity said to those who gathered around her, "Get back out there and fight. Colgate may win this after all."

Once they headed back out into the battle things were quickly equalized as Colgate's higher ups began wiping out Twilight's dark Alicorns and changelings. On the ground, Twilight and Colgate continued their battle. Finally after twenty minutes Colgate reached as deep within herself as she could. Deep blue beams of energy shot from her eyes and the most powerful burst of energy she had ever fired came out of her horn, striking Twilight. The energy was so great that it shattered half of Twilight's horn, sent her flying and shattered her armor.

Twilight laid there completely exposed, her wings were broken and her horn had been mostly shattered, just leaving a stump. Colgate figured she could deal with Twilight later but decided this battle must end and a loyalty spell would be the best route. She pointed her horn towards the battle, began to glow a bright blue and as she fired out a huge ball of blue energy she recited, "From another to me, that is where your allegiance will now be, you thought your old commander loved you like pie when all they wanted was for you to die. With me all shall be great, there shall be no hate."

A powerful blue ball shot outwards and the energy was absorbed by the bodies of those who were still alive, not only making Twilight's forces loyal to her but strengthening the loyalty of those already loyal to her. The battle immediately stopped and Ponyville went silent. The only thing could be heard was Twilight's agonizing screams of pain. Colgate, Dark Night and all the other Alicorns flew over to where the Dark Goddess lay and surrounded her. Colgate looked down at her and shook her head as Twilight began to yell. She yelled, "This isn't over yet Colgate, I'll be healed soon and I will crush all of you." She tried to fire power out of what was left of her horn but all that came out were a few purple sparks, which caused everypony to breathe a sigh of relief.

Rather than laughing like she had in the past when she defeated Twilight, Colgate said in a stern voice, "Twilight Sparkle, ever since you were crowned as a princess you have done nothing but cause problems for Equestria. Tonight I shall finally put an end to that. I will make sure that once and for all you will never cause any problems again, EVER."

Twilight sat up and looked at those who she thought to be her allies. She shouted, "Aren't you going to help me you idiots? Aren't you going to help your Dark Goddess, the one you serve?"

Celestia walked over to Twilight, got in her face and screamed, "NO! WE ARE NOT YOUR SLAVES ANYMORE, WE ARE LOYAL TO COLGATE!"

Twilight angrily screamed, "Seriously, all of you?"

Everypony nodded their heads. Despite having no allies and having her horn shattered, Twilight still believed that she could rise back to power again. She continued to scream about how she would rise again and kill all of them. Colgate rolled her eyes and sighed, "I'm sick of this shit Twilight." She lowered her horn towards Twilight's chest and continued, "Any last words?"

Twilight laughed, "Oh what are you going to do? Stab me with your precious horn? Try to puncture my heart? Well it won't work, you can't kill a DARK GODDESS!"

Colgate replied, "Good riddance."

She rammed her horn into a struggling Twilight's abdomen and began to glow brightly as her eyes began to glow a deep shade of blue. She fired a powerful bolt of energy into the purple Alicorn, causing her to be blown to bits. As she was blown apart, a great amount of energy came flying out of her and entered LaurFa's body. She grew back to her original size and her goddess powers were restored. LaurFa knew it was Colgate's blowing Twilight apart that caused her powers to return. She rushed up to Colgate, hugged her and cried tears of joy. She said, "Thank you Colgate, thank you! Finally, I have been restored!"

Colgate smiled and replied, "You're welcome LaurFa." She looked at everypony else and said, "Well I'm going to take care of these bodies and damaged buildings tonight. I think we need to all hit the hay so we will be well rested so that we will all be alert for our meeting regarding restoring this world."

Everypony agreed and headed home while Colgate disintegrated all the corpses and caused new buildings to appear where the old ones once stood. While she was ridding Ponyville of the corpses and restoring the buildings, she heard cries coming from an injured pony. She headed that direction and found Rarity covered in mud and her wings broken. Rarity looked up at Colgate and asked, "Supreme Commander Colgate, could you heal my wings? They are broken."

Colgate was not sure as to whether or not the loyalty spell had been absorbed into her body. She stared into Rarity's eyes and asked, "Who are you loyal to Rarity?"

Rarity, in a completely calm and collected voice replied, "I am loyal to you Colgate."

Colgate was looking deep into Rarity's eyes as she told her this. Colgate could tell that she was indeed loyal to her. This caused Colgate to breathe a sigh of relief. Rarity continued, "Colgate, I have a question. What happened to Twilight?"

Colgate replied, "Twilight Sparkle is dead. After I had destroyed her horn and broke her wings, I rammed my horn into her, released a powerful bolt of energy into her and blew her to bits so she will never again be a threat to this world." She then lowered her horn down to Rarity and released energy into her which healed her broken wings.

Rarity jumped up and hugged Colgate. She excitedly said, "Thank you darling! You truly are a great commander. I am so sorry for rejoining Twilight's side."

Colgate replied, "Well she put a loyalty spell on you so it isn't really your fault." Colgate yawned, "You better get home and get some rest. I want us all to be alert tomorrow for when we have our meeting regarding restoring this world."

Rarity nodded and headed home to get some rest but more importantly, wash the mud off of herself. Finally around 0100 Colgate got to her room. Before finally hitting the hay, she restored the great eye to being blue again. She then collapsed on her bed and was asleep in a matter of minutes.
