Chapter 14: Chapter fourteen. A Canterlot Wedding. Part four.

Previous Chapter Next Chapter

Carmine and Luna were still busy battling the lambent berserker when all of a sudden dark clouds would move rapidly above Canterlot. Rain was falling shortly after.

"What is happening?" Luna said confused.

"What do you mean? It just looks like a storm is passing." Carmine responded.

"Exactly... But there arent any pegasi managing the clouds... They're moving on their own!"

Carmine had to think for a second. He recalled being told that in Equestria ponies manage the weather. The only place where that doesn't happen is the Everfree Forest. Strange indeed.

"I guess the gods are pissed off then." Carmine joked.

Luna just frowned not knowing what the COG soldier meant. Anyway, back to their pursuit of the raging berserker. It was clearly hurt after their first attack. They just had to find more wretches. Problem was, they couldn't find any.

"You really can't just spout violent flames with that horn of yours?" Carmine asked.

"I already told you what my magic is capable of." Luna said.

She could produce a tiny flame at best. Ponies didn't train for destructive warfare with their magic. It was used more to help with everyday things, levitate things. Create light. Or used to heal.

Not for blowing stuff up, that's not what they had in mind. Sure Luna still had the inherited powers from Night Mare Moon. But it was a shadow-magic. Nothing that could harm the lambent berserker.

Celestia on the other hand could call upon the wrath of the sun, summoning violent flames to defeat her foes, or at least she said that she was able. Luna had never witnessed this nor was it ever neccesary.

But Luna was certain Celestia had her hooves full at the wedding. Who knows what was going on there. It looks like it's just her and Carmine for now.

"Hey look over there!" Carmine pointed at three nearby wretches gnawing on the remains of a changeling.

"Disgusting..." Luna said dissaprovingly.

"Yeah, whatever. Let's take one of them with us." Carmine started heading towards the three creatures but then it started.

The dark clouds that floated above Canterlot started rumbling extremely loud. Then all of a sudden multiple lightning bolts started falling from the sky. Destroying everything they hit.

Some buildings were completely blown up by the violent thunderbolts. Changelings were getting disoriented and started flying around in fear, avoiding the bolts of lightning. But more importantly the small pack of wretches that were in front of Carmine simply exploded after being struck. Goddammit.

The berserker also wasn't spared by the lightning. Multiple bolts hit it as it was wandering around. At first it didn't seem to hurt the lambent creature. But after a few hits its ribcage started opening again.

"FIRE FIRE!!" Carmine shouted and now started firing his lancer at the giant monster. Luna started throwing more shadow orbs at the creature and simultaneously the BLU Sniper fired another shot from his Machina.

And yes. This really started hurting it. The berserker screamed in pain. Swinging its bladed tentacles at nothing. Immulsion was splattering in all directions, but it still wasn't finished. The immulsion in his ribcage started beating as if it was a heart. It was close to dying now.

It quickly closed its ribcage and blindly started charging off again. Now heading in to the direction of the wedding halls.

"Follow that ugly!" Carmine shouted and he and Luna did just so.

"Wait... What are we supposed to do?" A third voice suddenly stated.

Carmine turned around and noticed Lyra and the other two bridesmaids were actually still with them. With all the commotion going on he simply forgot they were even there. That means three more ponies to protect from the lightning, berserker, wretches and changelings. But that's fine, Carmine was a soldier after all, and his duty was to protect civilians even though that's not what the COG always did. Here the situation was different. He had to protect those that weren't able to protect themselves.

"Uh, just stick close to us. Unless the big ugly does as well! Then go as far away as possible." Carmine gave them these simple orders.

_____________

Sniper and Derpy. Earlier.

"Oi Sheila, didn't ya say that clouds here aint moving on there own?" Sniper asked.

"Well duh." Derpy responded at the silly Sniper. He said that clouds where he comes from move on their own. Madness she thought.

"That what's that?" Sniper pointed at the sky which started getting darker and clouded. Exactly at that moment rain started dropping.

"Oh yeah... That's uhm... I actually have no idea." Derpy said confused at what the hay was happening.

"So you're saying this aint natural?"

"I have never seen anything like this happen." Derpy was clearly amazed to see clouds move on their own.

But Sniper didn't care. Just a small storm passing them, nothing to worry about. They just had to get rid of that big ugly monster now. Then finish off the small bug-ponies who didn't pose that much of a threat, even when in the RED Heavy's form.

Speaking of the RED Heavy. Sniper noticed Sasha stopped firing. Maybe the Russian was beaten? Sniper wanted to see his situation later. But first take care of the lambent berserker. Sniper was a professional after all, he couldn't just back out in the middle of his mission.

But then then the storm began. It was more violent that Sniper or Derpy had ever seen. Multiple lightning bolts started falling from the sky completely blowing some buildings up. Some bolts even struck twice at the same place. This was not a natural storm, Sniper was certain of that.

But he noticed the berserker stagger once again after being struck by a few lightning bolts. It opened its ribcage and Sniper got ready to fire. Even the thunder storm couldn't distract him from concentrating.

He fired his fully charged Machina once again critically hitting the lambent berserker. It started flinching and screaming even louder then before. One more hit and its probaly going down. Excellent.

"Haha! Always on target! Impressive don't ya think Sheila?" Sniper bragged.

"I really don't have a clue what you just did." Derpy said.

She was after all still unfamiliar with what guns were. But she was smart enough to realise that it's something dangerous and not meant for ponies to handle.

*BOOM*

A lightning bolt suddenly hit the building where Derpy and Sniper resided. The entire structure started collapsing. Sniper and Derpy were both on the roof.

"Oh crikey!" Sniper said as he started fleeing from the floor that started dissapearing below him.

Derpy immediatly flew behind the BLU Sniper.

Sniper had no options. He also didn't have time to think of any. He kept running while the building slowly got reduced to nothing but rubble. He was nearing the end of the line. But he ran the wrong way. There was just a forty meter drop from here.

But like I said. No other options. Sniper did the only sensible thing and jumped. He closed his eyes, hoping his death would come swiftly.

But death got cheated once again. As Sniper was falling to his inevitable doom, he got saved by the grey pegasus; Derpy hooves. Sniper was by far the skinniest of the humans.

"Hey! You're a lot lighter then I thought." Derpy smiled while holding the BLU Sniper with her hooves.

"Holey dooley! You're a bloody lifesaver ya know that Sheila?" Sniper said relieved.

They then landed slightly further on a lower building. Right next to the wedding halls.

Sniper quickly grabbed Derpy as he noticed his nememis not being twenty meters away from him.

The RED Heavy was still battling countless clones of himself. Sniper was certain this was the real Heavy as whenever he punched one of the changelings they literally got launched in to the air. But just more kept coming and even the Russian would not be able to hold off their entire army on his own.

"Oi Sheila... I think it's better ya just hide for now, avoiding that storm and the creepers some place safe." Sniper said to Derpy.

Derpy was more then happy to agree with Sniper's plan. She thought the situation was scary enough as it is.

"Then what are you going to do?" Derpy asked.

"I'm going to do the one thing I never thought I'd do. Help that fat RED bastard." Sniper said determined.

Derpy was amazed to hear this. Sniper only told bad things about the RED Heavy up untill now. What's with the sudden change of heart?

Sniper still despised the RED Heavy. That's for sure, and he was certain the Russian thought the same of him. But they're not at 2fort or Gold Rush or anything. They're in Equestria. Their contracts said nothing about killing the other team in a different world or universe.

Sniper aimed his Machina at the horde of changelings. He waited for the rifle to fully charge once again, which would only increase the damage and penetration power of the bullets. *Ping* It's charged.

"Ya get going now Sheila! I'll catch up with ya when this is all over!" Sniper barked. Derpy did as told but not before thanking the Sniper properly for saving her. Sniper said it wasn't neccesary since Derpy just did the same.

He then looked through his scope and it didn't take long for him to get a decent shot. Hundreds were lined up perfectly. He fired the Machina once again causing a deafening noise. The large bullet soared through the air annihilating at least seven changeling Heavy's in its path. All before they were able to reach the real Heavy.

The Russian knew this sound. "Puny BLU Sniper..." He thought to himself, but he didn't have time to look up since the army of the clones just kept coming. Lightning bolts were now dealing with some of them as they were heading up the stairs. But not enough to destroy the entire army.

Without his mini-gun he still was able to hold his ground thanks to the dispenser. But no matter how strong Heavy was, it would take hours to clear all of them out. Help would be greatly appreciated at this point.

Another shot then followed, blowing off the heads of at least ten more fake Heavy's.

But the changelings weren't stupid. Shortly after they were able to spot their second target. A fourth human queen Chrysalis did not tell them about.

A handful of changelings quickly approached the BLU Sniper. Once again, at close range his rifle is useless. So he pulled out his Kukri, preparing to strike them down as they came closer.

He started slashing at one of the changelings before it was able to transform in to Heavy. A quick slice to the neck followed and then the creature fell down from the building, already dead before he hit the ground.

The few others were able to shapeshift in time and started punching on the BLU Sniper. Due to terrible positioning Sniper was unable to avoid their barrage of punches and eventually also got forced to the edge of the building.

It was only a ten meter drop this time. Nothing to worry about. Sniper made sure to stick his knife in one more throat before he jumped from the lower building, to the main grounds once again. He was now in a small alleyway. Which would eventually lead up to the staircase where the real RED Heavy was still busy in his own fight.

But there was more to this small alleyway. Behind a large dumpster Sniper spotted two of the yellow glowing creatures. The lambent wretches. He rushed towards them grabbing one of the creatures by its paw. He then swung it in the air towards the fake Heavy's who started to jump after him from the roof. It exploded mid-air, finishing off the pursuing changelings.

Sniper laughed at this and proceeded to grab to other wretch. This was a mean one as it started gnawing on the BLU Sniper's arm viciously. The Australian responded to this by punching the creature in the face two times. Barely soft enough to stop it from exploding just yet.

Sniper then dragged the half-unconscious lambent wretch with him, heading to the long staircase. He passed hundreds of corpses filled with bullet holes. Next he passed the Russian's minigun Sasha at the bottom of the stairs. Multiple changelings crushed beneath its weight.

He started heading up the stairs, just passing more corpses and eventually got to the top. Half a thousand fake Heavy's were right in front of the entrance of the wedding halls. Just one man stopping blocking their path.

But now that's two men.

Sniper had one more Jarate left. He threw the jar full of piss at the crowd of changelings and prepared for a one-liner.

"... Screw this!" He couldn't come up with any in time, plus the lightning was messing up his mind. It kept striking dangerously close to them.

Anyway, he then threw the lambent wretch at the changeling army. Right where he just tossed his Jarate. It exploded critically hitting every nearby changeling in its radius. At least twenty-five more were blown to bits.

"RAAAH!" The RED Heavy violently punched his enemies around. No matter in how much pain he was, he could endure it. And the dispenser made things even easier. He noticed the explosion and wanted to investigate. He suddenly charged through the horde of Heavy's clearing a path.

Then he saw him.

The BLU Sniper. On par with the Spy his greatest enemy.

"G'day." Sniper said sheepishly.

"HA! I was told to fight men! Not babies!" Heavy laughed.

"Oi screw you mate. You know exactly why you're here right?"

"Da. Crush ponies enemy."

"Exactly, and that what I'm here for as well. To blow a hole in that Discord fella's face."

"Is BLU team dead?" The Russian asked.

"Nope. We're both still linked to the respawn. If we die, we go home." Sniper responded.

"I see... Then we crush ponies enemy together!"

"That's what I was thinking yeah."

"But when this is over. Puny BLU Sniper will feel the wrath of Sasha once again." Heavy grinned evilly.

"Aye, and I'll be sure to pop your head off before that happens ya fat blockhead." Sniper started laughing.

Now forming a temporary alliance, the BLU Sniper and RED Heavy were working together. A rare sight indeed. But understandable in this situation.

They changelings simply paused for a moment allowing the two humans to talk for some reason. But they had enough of this. The zerg-rush was back on.

Sniper was armed with his Kukri and Heavy armed with his fists. They were now both next to dispenser, annihilating every changeling that got near them.

_________

At the wedding.

Ponies were trembling in fear upon seeing the violent thunder storm above their town. Princess Celestia couldn't believe Ulfgar was capable of all these things. But she wasn't surprised. His power would in the end either save or destroy Canterlot. That's probably what he meant with his strange question earlier.

Ulfgar on the other hand was in pain. He already used three shouts which he preffered to be the maximum for a day. One more and he'd be coughing up blood again, plus the fact he was just stabbed with his own blade didn't help much either. He was able to heal some of the damage done, put the blade went far to deep for him to just instantly heal it. This wound would need rest.

So no more shouts today and finish this queen Chrysalis quickly, then go to bed. That was the dovakhiin's plan. However his plans don't usually work out.

Queen Chrysalis had gotten back up after she suddenly got blown away by the dragonborn. She was amazed to see he had this much power, to break her corruption, cheat death and still have this much strength left. She was going to need to get serious.

She was back on her hooves, determined to defeat the human that was now crossing her path. But why isn't her army here yet. She grew more worried by the second thinking that something terrible could've happened to her subjects. Her people needed love to feed. And this was the only place for them to go.

But even if her intentions are for the greater good of her people. It's still an evil deed, and has to be punished.

Ulfgar swung his blade around, clearing some of his own blood that was stuck on it. He took a few step back passing the crowd of wedding visitors to get something that caught his attention.

His self-made trademark iron horned helmet. Battle just isn't the same without it. Gently he placed the helmet back on his head.

He is now once again dragonborn. The legend that came true, born with the soul of a dragon. Dovakhiin as they said in their own tongue. And he was ready for battle.

Chrysalis had to toughen up now as the dovakhiin started approaching her. She took a more defensive position, awaiting the dragonborn's attack.

But nothing happened, or at least not yet. Ulfgar walked over as slowly as possible, just provoking the queen even further. She had enough, if he isn't going to attack. She is.

She threw several fireballs covered in green flames towards the dovakhiin by using her magic.

Ulfgar cut through the first incoming ball of fire completely avoiding it. The second one however he didn't even try to get out of the way, as if he flames didn't even bother him. He just kept pacing himself slowly towards the queen, dragging his greatsword behind him.

Queen Chrysalis had enough of this nonsense. This human will know the true meaning of pain when she's done with him.

She rushed recklessly towards the dovakhiin now. Just as Ulfgar was hoping she'd do. With her deadly horn up front she aimed right for his heart.

But the dovakhiin deflected the incoming strike with his blade. Now his greatsword was colliding with her horn and they stared each other right in the eyes.

Chrysalis eyes were showing signs of fear and uncertainness.

Ulfgar was laughing, with a wicked grin he stared the queen of the changelings down.

Queen Chrysalis started to cast a new spell while still clashing with the dovakhiin's sword. But then Ulfgar just simply pushed her horn aside causing the spell she used to blow a giant hole in the roof.

He then used the weight of the massive greatsword to deal a devastating slice to her. He started doing a full three-sixty spin with the blade and it was a succes.

The sword cut Chrysalis in two of her holey fragile legs. The gaping wounds were now flowing with the blood of the queen. She was hurt and everyone was able to hear so as she screamed out in pain.

The dovakhiin stopped her cry by dealing a powerful kick to her face. She fell down back to the floor once again.

Ulfgar diabolical laughter didn't stop. He was just getting ready for more.

"All evil must be cleansed." He said.

Chrysalis didn't answer.

"Do you know the best way to cleanse evil?" Ulfgar asked with a grin on his face.

Once again no response from the queen.

"By fire." Ulfgar placed his left hand on his blade, summoning destructive fire straight in to the heart of the greatsword, completely engulfing it in violent flames.

He slowly started walking towards the queen again, dragging the flaming sword behind him in one hand.

Chrysalis could only watch. She was completely frozen. She felt an emotion she never truly understood before.

Fear.

The very same fear Celestia felt when she faced the dovakhiin. The princess of the sun wished she would be able to step in. But Celestia knew that even she wouldn't be able to stop Ulfgar. She just hoped her little ponies wouldn't get traumatized for life after seeing this.

Carmine and Luna.

"We need to stop that thing before it reaches the wedding!" Luna shouted as the group was following the rampaging berserker.

It was in pain, alot of it. It started leaving a lot more immulsion behind it then before. Carmine and the bridesmaids made sure to avoid all of this.

But lightning kept falling. And now the fully enraged lambent berserker didn't even care anymore. He just shrugged off the devastating damage caused by the lightning bolts, however by now its ribcage was left open just slightly. A few more bullets and it's going down.

Which means it would explode seeing as it's a lambent, not something they wished for to happen at the wedding. But the berserker was heading right in that direction. And they had nothing to stop it.

The berserker finally reached the staircase and for a moment it seemed as if it wasn't going upstairs. It wandered around blindly for a few seconds but then something got its attention.

The RED Heavy's battlecry could be heard all across Canterlot. The berserker heard it as well and roared one last time before charging upwards.

"SHIT WE NEED TO STOP THAT THING RIGHT NOW!" Carmine shouted desperately. But it was out of their reach now. He was so focussed on the berserker he didn't even notice the huge amounts of changelings corpses transformed in to Heavy surrounding him.

At that same moment Derpy Hooves came flying down. Slightly startled she approached the group.

"W-ha... that thing?" Was all she could master to say after having seen the lambent monstrosity up close.

"Shit more civvies." Carmine said. "Okay, here's what you're going to do. Lyra! Take her and the others and just teleport somewhere safe and dry untill this is over."

"Gladly." Lyra said. She certainly wasn't going to stay here with a screaming monster, and more changeling corpses then she should count.

However Lyra wasn't the most talented unicorn. She already teleported a group earlier, so she wont be able to teleport far this time, not with her skills of magic.

"You may use our castle to hide, it's the safest place in Canterlot." Luna suddenly said.

"Wow. The actual castle, really?" Lyra responded.

"Yes! Just go."

And so Lyra telorted herself, Derpy and the two other bridesmaids to safety. Back to the castle.

Carmine and Luna quickly proceeded to follow the berserker once again.

_____________

Sniper and Heavy.

"Yahahaha!" Heavy had a much easier time with Sniper around. He continued oneshotting every changeling that got within a meter of him.

Sniper, even though much weaker physically then Heavy, was still a forced to be reckoned with. With his large curved knife at his side no changeling was safe.

The changelings just kept fading in numbers at their hopeless attempt to crash the wedding. Now only a few hundred of the original thousands of changelings remained.

But they didn't give up. To serve Chrysalis and feed on more love they'd stop at nothing. Death was a glorious price to pay for serving their queen.

But then they were really screwed. The giant lambent berserker charged through the entire horde thinning out their numbers even further.

"Crikey! It's that ugly again!" Sniper jumped out the way.

"What? Puny monster will not pass Heavy." The Russian said determined.

"Oi, don't be a bloody fool. Get the dispenser and get out of the way. Then take this chance to get back your mini-gun." Sniper said to Heavy.

"Sasha... yes Sasha!" Surely the russian's mini-gun can put a stop to this behemoth. He simply picked up the dispenser and let the berserker charge straight past them. Now it's just a lousy twenty meters away from the wedding halls.

"HEY DON'T LET THAT THING PASS! IT'S ABOUT TO EXPLODE!" Carmine suddenly shouted while running up the long staircase followed by Luna.

"Oh crikey. Maybe that wasn't such a good idea." Sniper thought to himself. He turned around and the giant berserker crashed straight in to the building.

Hopefully nopony will get hurt.

______________

Slightly earlier at the wedding.

The mane six and Celestia were just able to watch the enraged Ulfgar beat the living hell out of Chrysalis. She didn't stand a chance and the dovakhiin was just messing with her before finishing her off. A sickening sight to the ponies.

She had multiple bruises, cuts and burn wounds from Ulfgar's flaming sword. His diabolical laughter made things even more terrifying for the ponies watching.

"Ulfgar! Stop this madness." Celestia just had to step in. This was just too horrible to set eyes upon.

Ulfgar just pretended he didn't hear the princess of the sun. But he knew it was enough. Time to finish what was started.

He stepped forward approaching the changeling queen who was barely able to move with her severe wounds, then he prepared to deliver the fatal strike.

He held the blade in both hands and prepared for a devastating swing most likely cutting the changeling in half.

But then he was interupted. The lambent berserker charged right through the door and was heading straight for the crowd of wedding guests. They started panicking and running around in fear.

Ulfgar looked back and had to make a decision.

Finish up the one who caused so much harm. Or save innocent civilians from a unknown giant monster.

The choice was easily made. Even though Ulfgar preferred revenge, it wouldn't be the right thing to do. Revenge will come soon enough. First protect the weak, that was his priority.

He left the changeling queen and rushed for the lambent monster, still with his blade engulfed in flames he leaped at the creature, stabbing in right in the chest.

The power of his strike, combined with the intense heat of the flames was enough the shatter the berserker's remaining ribcage, fully exposing its chest cavity once again.

Ulfgar then threw a second strike, straight in to the immulsion that was all piled up inside. This also completely extinguished his flaming sword.

The berserker started staggering even more now, desperately it flung its tentacles in all directions but in vain. It was finished.

"GET THE FUCK OUT! THAT THING IS GOING TO EXPLODE!" Carmine shouted as he rushed inside from the hole the berserker left in the building.

"Oh this isn't good." Ulfgar thought. He looked at the creature one more time and it certainly did look so. It was screaming in pain, while the yellow immulsion starting beating more rapidly every second. It seemed as if it was going to blow up from inside.

The berserker fell to its knees.

Ulfgar didn't have a choice, it looks like he had to do one more shout after all.

He looked up to the roof, there was a giant hole there left by Chrysalis's magic from earlier. Just nearly large enough for the lambent to fit through.

"FUS RO DAH!" One more trademark thu'um from the dovakhiin. The lambent creature got launched up in the air by the dragon shout and exploded at least fifty meter away from the wedding, a beautiful sighting. The immulsion that got blown in all directions seemed like beautiful fireworks from this distance.

"You fucking kill stealer." Carmine said.

"Ha!" Ulfgar just laughed.

But Chrysalis took this opportunity to get the buck out. Though her legs were hurt, her wings were still intact. She quickly flew off to the exit.

"COWARD! Do you think you can flee from the dov..." Ulfgar stopped mid-sentence as he started coughing up blood once again and then fell to the ground, quickly losing consciousness. At this moment the storm started fading rapidly.

"Stop her!" Celestia shouted, but there were barely any guards to do so.

Chrysalis was to fast. She fled the building but was welcomed by an unpleasant sight.

In front of her was a mountain of corpses, more then a thousand of her subjects, her children... dead.

She felt great sadness enter her heart upon seeing this. But more hatred towards the ones responsible.

"Chrysalis I presume?" Sniper suddenly appeared behind the mourning changeling queen, armed with his Kukri.

"No! Leave me!" She backed up in desperation. But was stopped as she backed up against the RED Heavy who just retrieved his mini-gun.

"Puny little evil pony will now suffer for deeds?" Heavy asked with a grin on his face.

"Hehehe, I'm not sure what we're doing with this one. I'm just here for this Discord ya know. Let's just tie her up or something."

But Chrysalis refused to let herself be captured. She summoned more green flames in desperation to escape. It worked as it seemed to affect these two humans. She quickly lifted back up again, as she was back in the sky she took a large breath.

"FLEEEEEE!!!" She yelled at the top or her lungs, warning her remaining subjects to retreat.

The changelings attempted to take over Canterlot, and failed. Chrysalis admitted defeat. But one day she'll have her revenge. She swore of this.

___________

The royal guards finished up disposing of the few wretches that still roamed through Canterlot. They easily overpowered the dumb creatures.

Canterlot was still standing. Much of it was destroyed but all can be rebuilt. The more important thing is that the city is once again safe and without invaders.

A magical source suddenly started reducing the changeling corpses to nothing but dust. Cleaning up large parts of the town instantly. However, the berserker's remains and its trails of immulsion had to get cleaned up manually.

But Canterlot stood victorious and cheered for the humans that saved their town once again. By all means it wasn't pretty, but it was most likely the only way without Shining Armor's protection spell.

Ulfgar, Dark Spear and several citizens were sent of to the infirmary, hoping they would recover from their wounds.

Heavy and Sniper were still being friendly to each other thank god.

Carmine approached Celestia.

"What happens next?" He asked.

_______________

Pinkie Pie's afterparty.

"Okay... This is ridiculous..." Carmine said.

There was nothing holding these ponies spirits down. Even after a dangerous invasion in their town, near death experiences and half the town in ruins they STILL decided to have the actual wedding.

Yeah that's great for catching up memories. Oh remember when we got married and then the town got invaded by a giant monster and bugs? What a day huh? Carmine just facepalmed at the situation.

The wedding was a lovely event, followed by a spectaculair sonic rainboom by Rainbow Dash. Still everypony was a bit awkard about everything seeing what events just occured.

But Shining Armor and princess Cadence couldn't be happier at this moment. Twilight was also overjoyed to see her brother like this, her friends already apologized to the purple unicorn for not believing her. But all of that was unneccesary, of course she'd forgive her friends. She's just glad this day was coming to an end. Everypony and human (excluding the dovakhiin and the royal guard commander.) were now participating in Pinkie Pie's afterparty.

Sniper approached Derpy Hooves again, he was glad she was alright.

"So you and Mr. Heavy are friends now?" Derpy asked.

"Nope. Just temporary business associates." Sniper responded calmy.

Carmine just had enough of this. His mind was blown, these ponies are so weird. But then again he was glad to see it's not as depressing as Sera. Oh hey, look over there. It's princess Luna.

The princess of the night now joined the party.

"Hello everypony, Did I miss anything?" Luna said with her best trollface.

"Oh you..." Carmine thought to himself.

Then all of a sudden Pinkie Pie rushed away from the group. Pulling a white unicorn with a blue mane out of nowhere. The COG soldier presumed this to be a DJ.

"Oh god... They're not going to..." Carmine prepared for the worst.

"LETS GET THIS PARTY STARTED!" Pinkie Pie shouted.

"Love is in bloom!
A beautiful bride, a handsome groom.
Two hearts becoming one,
A bond that cannot be undone because..."

"Oh god they started singing again." Carmine's brain was close to exploding. He was glad Ulfgar wasn't here. If Carmine couldn't appreciate these random sudden musical numbers, then surely the dovakhiin wouldn't like it.

"What's wrong with you?" Rainbow Dash asked the COG soldier whose hand was nearly going through his face from all the facepalming he'd been doing all night.

"Nothing... nothing, dont mind me. I'm just going to stand over there... do nothing okay?" The COG soldier walked off leaving a frowning Rainbow Dash.

Heavy on the other hand seemed to enjoy the musical performance of the ponies and decided to join them.

"Come little ponies! we sing great song together!" Not many knew Heavy was in fact an incredibly talented singer.

"Da da da da. Da da da da. Come sing with me! Da da da da da."

The ponies just laughed at the Russian's attempt at singing and the Russian gladly joined them, all while eating some more sandwiches made by Applejack.

Princess Cadence and Shining Armor prepared to leave the party and go on their well deserved honeymoon. But not before throwing the bouquet.

Cadence tossed it in the air and many ponies attempted to grab it. But one in particulair tried harder then anypony.

Rarity leaped over all crowd of ponies attempting to catch the bouquet, with a scary look on her face she yelled. "IIIITS MIIINE!"

But she wasn't able to catch it. In her sudden outburst she only managed to launch the bouqeut even further in to the air.

It landed right in the hooves of...

Clayton Carmine, so technically his hands.

"I hate my life." The COG soldier facepalmed once more.

_____________

"Do you hate them?" A voice asked the defeated queen Chrysalis who was back at her hive.

"Yes..." She responded with a slight tone of uncertainness.

"Then join me... and together take over this land. And rule beside me in true chaos!"

"I only want revenge on the humans... I don't care about ruling anything."

"You have ruined a chapter my games, an unforgivable act. You should be happy I didn't leave you to rot and die. You and your 'changelings' might prove useful to me in the future. I'm offering you this alliance because we stride towards a common goal."

"The humans?"

"They're the only thing standing in the way of my dreams, with them out of the way I will rule Equestria in an age of never-ending chaos! Oh and you will have your silly revenge of course."

"Then I will join you. They will suffer for what they've done... Lord Discord." Chrysalis kneeled before him.

"Good good." Discord rubbed his claws evilly. Chrysalis would be of proper use to him.

At least untill she's no longer needed.

______________

Authors notes: Okay! Finally the ending of the royal wedding. Yay! It was fun to write that's for sure. However the next update might take slightly longer, I really want to add a couple of breather chapters before I start heading for the inevitable ending of this story. So a few comedy chapters maybe focussing the ponies a bit more.

Next Chapter: Chapter fifteen. Happy times. Estimated time remaining: 3 Hours, 8 Minutes
