Well its Friday at least. I didn't get the workout I wanted done in team sports and weights training yesterday. I had found the strength before to over come the depression phases before, and will have to do it again. But the truth is...I'm starting to lose all hope of continuing the family tree as a man in the military. I mite just have to give it up, and for anyone with the heart for a dream, that's harder than achieving it.

I got up at 4:30AM as usual. Then I got dressed in my ACU uniform but instead of my school shirt I wear a tan shirt made by Rothco and went to eat breakfast. After that I brushed my teeth ,clipped my nails and shaved the neck beard off my face to satisfy myself with appearance, and I don't mean I jerked myself off in the mere afterword's. Then I hopped on my computer to watch some -PMVs- and -Mariplier- videos to catch up on my subscriptions. I like the original music that the brony community makes. Like Rainbow Factory, Nightmare Night and others. I also like the more famous bronies that have all of themselves reacting to a video. especially a certain someone that happens to be in the Navy. Black Gryph0n kicks ass!

Canterlot is on lockdown. Civilians were all packed in their homes with their families. Shining Armor and the royal guards were all around the front of the palace, like a second wall, shoulder to shoulder. The princesses were on their announcement balcony where Twilight gave her speech about friendship, along with the rest of the girls and spike. They were watching, waiting, listening for any sign of the Changelings invasion force. Then the silence was broken by Rainbow Dash.

"Hey Twi, why don't we just go back to that mere portal thing and just bring a human back?"

"Because it would take to long, I doubt that the human would come willingly, and I doubt he or she would believe who we are." Twilight replied with a hint of annoyance.

"Oh yea, right. Rainbow Dash said back with a blushing for asking when the reasons were common sense. But how do we know if we can trust them to take our side, if fight at all?"

"As we said before my little ponies, all we can do is hope for the best and trust in princess Twilight's judgment of them." Princess Celestia said with a warm smile.

Twilight returned the smile with more confidence in their plan.

"It seems that judgment will reach a verdict soon sister!" Luna said raising her voice and pointing a hoof strait ahead of them.

An unmistakable black mass was approaching fast.

"It is them my little ponies! Shining Armor take your guards and make ready! Twilight me must start the spell now!" Celestia was quick to take charge of the situation.

"Yes princess Celestia!" Twilight replied then started charging her horn the same as Celestia was.

It was time to turn my stuff off and make like a baby and head out. My mom was still sleeping on the living room couch. I grabbed my house trash and put it all in one garbage bag. I return to my room to clam my school baggage with all my supplies. Turning my gaze to the wall next to my bed to retrieve my dog tags. There were four of them I had on the chain. The first of them being a silver worn tag with the head of the American eagle stamped into the metal. The second with my last then first name, city and state of birth origin, U.S Army and finally special forces. My grandfather had it specially made for me, way back when. Now the last one  is something really special. Its a real WW2 dog tag worn by my great grandpa Wallace B. Coleman. Below his name are the numbers 36270004, below that is T42-43. RIP grandpa.

I put them around my neck as I go for my necklace that was a gift from my dad. It has a gold painted eagle with a silver cross to company it. I undo the chain and wrap it around my neck and reconnect it. Then tuck them into my ACU jacket. Before I forget, I head over to my closet and grab my Cod ghosts inspired painted wool balaclava, I painted it myself and was proud of the outcome, it looked just like the one on the game's case cover. Except the opening for the eyes was one big hole instead of two holes. I stuff it into my right ACU cargo pocket. Then I applied my patches for the uniform. My red, white and blue flag on my upper right shoulder. On the lower right shoulder, the ancient Spartan saying 'Molon Labe', witch I later learned translates into 'Come and take them'. My come and take it patch with a customized M4 Carbine above the words on my upper left shoulder, going hand and hand with the Spartan saying. One in Greek and one in English, one for ancient warriors and one for the modern warriors. On my lower left shoulder my project honor patch to show my love and support. My JROTC name tab on the left side of my chest on my ACU jacket, my name on the right, SSGT rank in center. Then I put my cover(patrol cap) on. It also my rank centered on it. Lastly I grab my foliage green carbon fiber hard-knuckle gloves and stuff them into my left pocket.

I walk out of my room turning the light off and quietly walk back to the kitchen to take garbage out through the garage along with the recyclables. I wheeled the recycling bin out to the driveway then go to put the garbage in its bin at the side of the house. Taking the garbage bin in one hand I wheel back the recyclables and grab the with the other hand. I drag the two bins behind me as I now walk to the end of the driveway, I place both bins a few feet away from the mail box. Walking back up and into the garage I push the button to close it, racing back to the entrance I jump the sensor and start heading to my bus stop. It was the winter months so it was cold, so I take my cover off and put my mask on, reapplying my cover I take my hard knuckles and slip'em on to give my hands some cover from the cool air. After that I finish tending to my mask by tucking the bottom of it down into my ACU jackets collar, I then flip up the collar and Velcro it over to cover up further and make sure the mask stays tucked.

On the way, something catches my eye. I look to the grey sky and see the clouds moving in an irregular fashion, worrying it may be a storm I quicken my pace. Hoping my bus comes a little sooner than normal. I remember the time I got drenched in heavy rain and I didn't what to spend the day drying off again.

The Changelings had landed on one side of the large main street in Canterlot, the royal guards on the other.

Twilight and Celestia were still charging up the spell and they didn't look like they could keep it up much longer.

"Hold on Twi you got it partner!" Applejack was trying to keep her spirits up, but it wasn't looking good.

"Please sister you must not give in! Girls I don't how much longer they can hold their strength!" Luna was getting worried for their wellbeing.

"No with the power of friendship, we can do anything!" Rainbow Dash cheers as she.

"Come on girls let give them a hoof!" Pinkie pie declares while she and the rest of the girls continue to give Twilight and Celestia a hug.

Luna seeing what they are doing joined in on the group hug of friendship.

A rainbow had began to form a circle and then moved to Princesses Twilight and Celestia's horns.

Then firing a rainbow off into the sky and forming a swirling spectrum portal.

The sky was really starting to scare me!  The grey clouds were spinning unnaturally fast with a clear opening in the middle. I had made it to my bus stop where the other kids were observing and taking pictures of the suspected storm, I'm starting to worry that it might be a twister! Wait...I think I see a light coming from the opening to. I don't know why but I looked over in my buddy Bowen's house direction and see the same thing happening in the sky over there too. I was debating on leaving to run back home for shelter.Then without warning, a loud boom Eco's through the air! I look back at my strange anomaly and see what I had now confirmed was a light and it was approaching fast!

Instinctively I hit the deck low to the ground off the left side of the road, hopping to avoid it but with no luck. For a moment I could see a rainbow around me, engulfing my person and lifting me off the ground with it to return to the sky. I try grabbing anything to keep me on the ground but again with no luck. So I give a totally not girly scream as I'm abducted by this spectrum of colors. When I reach the source of the hole in the sky, I pass through and greeted with the site of me falling to a different looking ground, panicking I look around desperately for a parachute to magically appear. But I did see that I was incased with a large bird like outline.

As the portal began to close, all hope seemed lost. Everypony thought that even with all their effort, they had failed. Then a sound could be heard coming from above. Everypony looked up including the guard and changelings armies below who had been watching in awe of the spectacle. With one last burst of energy, the portal in the sky exploded into a sonic rainboom.

But in its wake, a red, white and blue eagle came down giving its cry as it closes distance with the center of the soon to be battlefield.

Before it made contacted, the large multi colored eagle sifted its body from a diving pose to one that looked like it was about to land on its talon's.

I had no idea what happened? One moment I was waiting at my bus stop with a freakish storm over head, now I'm in a huge dust could after slamming feet first into the dirt floor. I don't know what drove me to flip in midair to angle me feet to hit first but I did.

I found myself blinded by dust and scared out of my mind! I don't know why I thought it would work, but I had my cod ghosts inspired mask on, since my face got to cold.

We had some cold fronts were I was at and I love a mask that represents stealth.

When the dusty smoke dissipated, I looked around franticly and saw the impossible!

"Ponies!" I said to myself.

But what freaked me more was the army of guards in front of what I assumed was the royal palace.

"Sister you two did it!"

"Way to go Twilight!" Pinkie pie cheered.

The two princesses slowly stood up and looked to see what they have summoned.

"I cannot believe my eyes Luna, a real human." Celestia said.

Luna used her magic to bring up a magical image of her sight and then amplified the magical image of her sight on the new life form.

I looked up at a large balcony were I swore I saw the princesses, then I heard voice form behind me.

"My my, what do we have hear?"

I recognized the voice immediately, that double sounding echo from the Changeling queen herself.

"Queen Chrysalis!" I hiss in a low whisper.

I turned back around to face her, and saw her trotting closer to me.

"Well aren't you a interesting one?"

When she came closer, I got a better assessment on her height. She was a little taller than me, I'm 5 foot 6 so not including her horn she was maybe 5 foot 8. Of course being a brony I knew what she looked like.

"I've never seen your kind before?"

She began to circle me while continuing to talk and observe my features. I clench my hands into fists, ready for a fight if she were to lash out at me.

"No doubt that they summoned you here to face me for them."

She points a hole riddled hoof at the large balcony, I turn my head to look when a bright blue ball of light appeared, then left a group of easily recognizable ponies.

"Human!" I see the princesses Celestia and Twilight and they don't look to good.

Luna was speaking for her sister. I'm guessing because of her condition.

"Come with us please, we require your aid!"

"Yeah she's a big bully!" I heard Pinkie pie and my heart began to race at the site of the main six.

"What the hell!" I shout backing up only to bump into Chrysalis.

"Now now princes Luna, can't you see this poor being hasn't a clue what is happening?" Queen Chrysalis says rapping her right hoof around my neck.

Hey get off of me! I shout pushing her hoof away. "What's going here, were am I!"

"Human please calm yourself!" Luna calls to me.

"Not until Someone explains what the fuck is happening and why I'm here!"

"Then allow me creature! Chrysalis speaks up. I am queen Chrysalis, ruler of the Changelings! And I am here to clam Canterlot.

Turning my attention to Chrysalis, I listen to her plots.

My dear Changelings require love to be strong, and the only way to get it is by harvesting it from those who have it. Ponies being full of love they are the best and perfect source to obtain it! That being said I am here just for that reason, and once me and my changelings are done here we will take all of Equestria!

I knew she was going to say something like that, but I still remained silent.

Now that you know my intentions, I must ask what you are going to do now. You could trot away and not get involved, or you can stay and fight and die with the my opposition!

Hearing her threaten my and the ponies lives really got me pumped up for a fight. Turning my head my to see the girls faces glaring at Chrysalis with anger and Fluttershy's with fear. Angering me further.

Then again, you do have another option.

Bringing my gaze back to Chrysalis, I cocked my eyebrow in confusion.

You can join me and aid my quest of domination, and once we are done you will be spared a place in the hives and trot free anywhere you will feel be safe and happy. So what it going to be creature!?" Chrysalis challenges.

Looking back at the main six and princesses, I can see that they are worried about what I might say. I look down in deep thought, it wasn't my fight. I don't know how they managed to get me hear, I'm in another dimension right now. A war is about to go down with me in the middle of it and I'm being forced into it! So I what's a guy to fucking do in this scenario! I look up and begin scanning my surroundings, I left towards the Changeling queen and her army, smug grins adorning their insect like faces. I look right towards the main six, princesses and their royal guard, stoic and ready for battle. Then I look forward, I notice something in a window directly ahead of me. I lean slightly forward and narrow my eyes, after I few moments of observing, I realize it was a group of ponies. A family from the looks of them, A baby foal held close by a mother an older looking colt with a baseball bat and at his side a grown stallion, whom held a kitchen knife. Both boys of the family with bitten lips, fearful of the fighting but ready to defend their mother, their wife, their baby sister.

Something clicked within me, a feeling of remembrance. I remembered, I remembered why, I remembered why I chose a warriors life! I remember 9/11, I remember all those news reports of people dying in bombings, I remember all those hours in those history classes learning about the atrocities committed by evil men though out the ages! I remember the holocaust, and numerous other mass killings of people for having differences in religion, sexuality, race and other petty reasons! I remembered why I chose the special operations community within the military. To protect and serve the innocent, to fight and if I must, die defending them from any and all treats! I live to kill people and in this case, ponies like chrysalis! With my mind made up and my head clear, I snap to the position of attention and raise my right hand.

"I am a US Army JROTC cadet.

I will always conduced myself to bring credit to my family, country, school and the corps of cadets.

I am loyal and patriotic.

I am the future of the United States of America.

I do not lie, cheat or steal and will always be accountable for my actions and deeds.

I will always practice good citizenship and patriotism.

I will work hard to improve my mind and strengthen my body.

I will seek the mantle of leadership and stand prepared to uphold the constitution and the American way of life.

May god grant me the strength to always live by this creed!"

"What?" she asks raising her dark black eyebrow.

I forward march until I stand between Queen Chrysalis and the girls then halt when I do. I then right face towards them, I take two steps forward then halt again. I finish with an about face, with my back to the girls I stand at ease.

"You see I come from a place called the United States America, and we as a country stand for freedom from tyranny. Along with standing for liberty and justice for all, I refuse!"

Queen Chrysalis grunts in anger with my answer.

"Then you will die with them!"

The enraged Changeling queen rears on her hind legs before charging me. "Human watch out!" Twilight shouts as Chrysalis closes the short distance between us. Taking a fighting stance I ready myself for whatever blow she was about to deal to me. Mere moments from ramming into me, a wall of blue energy blocks our contact with each other. Taken back I blink in surprise, unsure of what's happening.

"Human quickly, come with us!"

I turn around to see princess Luna's horn glowing. I realize that she was the one who blocked her attack.

"Thanks for the assist, now come on lets pull back!" I shout turning around to run back to the guards forces.

The main six retreat with princess Celestia while princess Luna slowly steps back still holding the magical barrier. I rush up to her and give her a tap on the back. "Come on forget about that just get behind your troops!" She listens as the barrier disperses and retreats with me.

We bee line it back to the golden army, following behind the others.

"Wait for them to get pass the formation boys, hold the line!"

The sea of golden knight warriors opens a path in the massive formation for us to swiftly pass through. Once we made our way through them they close the pathway and stand ready to defend. With us now safely behind friendly lines, I need a weapon.

"Ok quick, I need something to fight with!"

"Are you not armed!?" Celestia questions.

"No I wasn't in a position where I need a weapon until now, Just set me up!"

"Oh very well!"

As Luna's horn begins glowing, blue magic lights appear under my ACU jacket, lifting the lower half up I see the lights on my combat belt. When her horn stopped I saw that in the orbs of light had been replaced with blade's from...my...collection? They were my -Riddick ulaks- replicas from the movie with -necromongers-.

My Frost Cutlery 9 1/2 inch survival knife with a black handle with blue outlining and another Frost Cutlery 11 1/2 inch survival knife. I don't know why they happen to by my house defense weapons, but hey I'm not complaining!

"Aright thanks, hey do me a favor and take my bag for me!" I ask unclipping and removing my Marpat Woodland back pack. Rarity takes it with her magic and observes its features.

"Well at lest I'm familiar with these!" I say looking down at my small arsenal.

"Attack my Changelings!" Chrysalis's voice booms.

"Charge!" Shining Armor shouts to his fellow guard.

Then both armies charge each other on hoof and by wing in a massive clash of bodies!

"You better find cover girls!"

"Now hold on there partner!" Applejack tries to stop me but was cut off.

Five Changelings had flown past the fighting and came for the princesses. They came at me first. I didn't have enough time to grab any of the blades from their sheaths. So on instinct, I used my hands. One tries to ram me with their horn while flying. I counter by moving to the left where the girls were, and swinging a punch down on his head with my left arm, my fist covered by the hard knuckles sending it sparling across the ground. The other four were standing in front of me drawing closer trying to get me to back up.

Instead I pushed forward.

Blocking a hoof punch with my right arm, I -Knife hand neck chop- my currant attacker with my left hand, stunning it momentarily.

Moving to my next target, I spin in a full 360 degree and kick the thing in the head. With two more them coming at me by wing, I jump up and do a double spread leg kick out. Sending them flying back wards.

After falling on my ass from that last stunt I pulled. I pull the ulacks from my belt loops and take a fighting stance.

"Unless you ladies wanna see some nasty stuff I suggest you get somewhere safe!" I shout hoping that they listen. They did thankfully, Luna's horn began to glow again and within seconds they teleported away. Leaving me to deal with the Changelings without any worries of their safety.

"Now who want's some!" I shout at my opponents. This time they all charge at the same time.

I do another 360 spin but this time I do a hooking motion when I swing my right ulack at the Changelings throat. continuing my spin motion, I stab down with the left ulack into the back of the next Changelings head, then kicking out with my left leg at its buddy behind it.

As the next two press the attack, so do I. Giving a couple more quick swings at the heads of the incoming treats, killing them both and leaving one left. This one was fearful unlike the rest. I take a defensive stance waiting for it to make a move. But the poor basterd was cut down by a Pegasus guard that had come to add me.

"Come Human we must defend the city!" He says and fly's back to join the fight.

Looking back on my work, I felt a little sickened at what I had done. But what they were doing was wrong in every way! I couldn't just let them harm the girls or anypony for that matter! No they were savages, they get no mercy from me! Brining my attention to the still raging skirmish. Pushing my mental war inside aside, I say to myself..."I can't believe I'm going in there!"

But this is what I wanted. To fight to protect the innocent from evil, to save lives by taking them. It wouldn't be any deferent had I been a soldier for my country.  Taking a couple deep breaths, I work up the nerve and charge into the heated battle.

My objective was to ultimately kill queen Chrysalis. But the first priority was to aid any guard I could. So without second thought, I move to the nearest pony and slash right across his opponents face. Not Waiting for a word of thank you, I continue on. Swinging and slashing at anything not in gold armor, aiming for the heads and throats or anywhere else I could get at, any survivors and body shot victims being finished off by the royal guards. I was going wild with my assault. My war cry mixed with the ponies I'm fighting along side with, stashing wildly at the Changeling invaders, trying to lower number of guard pony casualties. But for every six Changelings killed, we lost two. Little more than half the guard remained as the Changelings numbers dwindled. We were obviously winning, but can it really feel like victory when you lose that many lives?

The last of the Changelings grouped in a single unit and tried to fend off the guards attacks but to no avail. While they finished them up I look around and find that Shining Armor and a squad of other guard ponies are engaging Chrysalis in close quarters combat with swords and magic. They look like they were having a tough time even with the five of them. Before I could move to assist, Chrysalis's horn glowed a bright green and with a burst of energy she made a magical ballast that sent them flying in all directions!

"Aw hell naw, that's bull shit!" I must of looked unnerved, because when she heard me call out, she looked right at me. And when she saw me she smiled with that smug little grin.

"You will fall creature!" She screams while starting to run at me.

Still worried about her abilities with magic,  I don't charge back but instead stand my ground. As she closes the distance between us I can see that she intends on ramming me with her horn. So I dodged to the left by rolling out of the way.

"Ha mist me Bitch!" I taunt her failed attempt to impale me.

"Silence worm! She screams once more as she takes to the air. I will destroy you!" Chrysalis then moves for a dive bomb attack.

I try to jump out of the way, but she was to fast. Thankfully not impaling me, but instead nocking the air out of me and making me lose grip of my blades with her right shoulder impacting my gut. "Aw...fuck!" I groan after being nocked on my ass.

"Didn't miss that time peasant!" She returns with her own taunt.

"Oh you want to get close and personal! I say getting up and regaining composure. Come get this dick!" I taunt back giving my manhood a tug.

She then snarls at me as she returns to the ground, dragging her hoof along the ground signaling another charge. I return the gesture by doing the same with my right foot, the traction of my tan combat boots dragging some gravel with it. Then out of nowhere Shining comes charging back and slamming into queen Chrysalis. "Surprise!" He shouts as he does so. "Dude wait for me!" I call to him as a sprint to help him out. As I draw near I take our fight to the ground, dropping low I take queen Chrysalis in a choke hold, Shining using his own body weight to help pin'er lower body down, as I'm trying to choke her out. But she was a strong bitch. Chrysalis threw Shining off of herself and shot out a bolt of magic, hitting his back left hoof, immobilizing him.

"Ahhh" He cry's out in pain.

Then she whipped her head back and head-butted me, causing me to lose a firm grip at the pain. Chrysalis then rolled over then pined me with her hooves. "Die now with your efforts in vain!" Then she brought them both up and was about to bring them back down to smash my head in, when another guard pony slammed into her, sending her off of me. "Leave them alone!" I hear him shout. Rolling over to check on Shining Armor, I Spot him still on the ground, trying to stand up. Only to fall over having a burnt leg buckle under him. I roll back over to see the guard still on top of her, trying to stab into her neck with a sword. But what happened next was to much. Queen Chrysalis's horn lit up and in a split-second a magic beam came and disintegrated him, leaving only his ash's and armor to crumble down upon her. The only other noise I head was a scream of pain as he died. I was filled with sorrow at his sacrifice. Another living being had just given their life for me.

"Ha Ha Ha you weakling!" Chrysalis insults the dead guard's ash's and gets up.

The sadness was quickly replaced by rage at her remark

I shot up off the ground and started beating on her! I grab around the back of her neck with my left arm, I use my right fist's hand knuckles to punch her mouth a few hard times, then wrapping my right arm around her neck I knee her three times in the stomach. I then let go and sweep her forelegs out from under her, she falls to her left side and I go to kick her in the gut. But she catches it with her fore-hooves. dragging me to the ground with her. I quickly counter by kicking her in the muzzle with me left foot. Trying to keep her down I roll over and elbow her with my left arm in the chest. She retaliates after two strikes, by reaching her left hoof over and punching me in the face a few times.

Retreating from my currant position I jump up of the ground only to be rammed by Chrysalis's shoulder. Not backing off, I knee her chest again and give a hard punch to her muzzle with my left fist. Backing her of from attacking or so I thought. She did back up, but not to stop attacking. In one swift motion she used her wings to propel herself backwards.

"Try this on for size!" She exclaims.

I see her horn light up again with the green aura of light.

"Oh shit!" Instinctively I use my arms to protect my face. Waiting for to blow to come, I brace for the worst. But I felt nothing hit when I heard the sound of the magic bolt? I wait and wait, but still nothing? Moving my arms apart, I look down at my stomach only to see a trail of black smoke. There wasn't even a burn mark, or damage to my clothing? Looking up a Chrysalis, I see her disbelief.

"What...impossible!?"

I smirk at my new found resistance to magic. What made her so strong was completely useless against me!

"Looks like I'm invulnerable to magic!" I boast boldly.

"This can't be...no...I don't need magic to kill you! Besides what you be without ponies like me creature!?" She challenges.

"I'm a soldier in war, civilian in peace." I challenge back in a dark tone of voice.

Undoing the Velcro strap that held my black ops knife in place, I unsheathe the blade and quickly close the distance of mere feet between us. Cocking my right arm back, I swing the blade at her horn as she tries to back away. Unfortunately for her, she failed do evade me. Cutting at the bass of her wicked horn It comes clean off. Queen Chrysalis screams in agonizing pain as her horn falls to the ground.

Spinning back around in a full 360 after my first blow, I slash her chest, green blood starting to spurt out. Then finally dropping to one knee, I take Chrysalis's severed horn by the bottom and give her a few rapid punches on her new chest wound, with the horn in my left hand and knife in my right. I spin her around by the neck with my wrists while she is reeling back on her hind legs, then kneeing her hard in the back adding to her pain.

I kick her hind legs out from under her, and with Chrysalis on her back, I bury my knife in the right part of her chest. With one final blow I let out a final battle cry, I take the upside-down horn and plunge it into queen Chrysalis's throat. Then dragging it all the way across, slitting it ear-to-ear. I toss her aside and stand up from my kneeling position. Looking down at Chrysalis's dead bleeding body, I feel content that she is no longer a threat to any innocent pony. I look to her severed horn in my left hand, I ponder what I should do with it, I look up and gaze across the aftermath of the battlefield. Dead bodies from both sides litter the street. I look back down at the black jagged horn and decide on keeping it. It will serve as a memento of this day, I slide it into my right cargo pocket. Still panting from my fight with her I look up once more and find that everypony that was just...staring at me. Awe in their face's. I then look to see Shining Armor still on the ground with his wounded left back hoof. Ignoring the looks I was getting, I walk up to Shining and carefully pick him up in a fireman carry, and made sure I didn't bump his leg.

"Thank you human."

"No problem brother, let's get that leg patched up." I say, now on my walking back to the palace.

Looking at the aftermath, I saw the dead bodies of Changelings and guard ponies. The guard ponies bodies were few compared to the Changelings at least. Looking at the guard ponies that passed me by on the way back to the palace, I saw that they were battle scarred with cuts and their golden armor dirty and banged up. Sides of buildings were broken up and badly damaged.

Then I saw something that just broke my heart. A beat up guard pony with his helmet off was crying over a fallen brother in arms. I wanted to stop to consul him over his loss, but Shining needed me to get him back to the palace for a medic.

Pushing on with the tears of empathy coming to my eyes, I reach the palace gates after going though the sea of dead bodies and enter.

Passing trough the royal gardens and going through the main doors, I see the princesses and main six coming towards us.

"Big brother!" Twilight calls.

"Captain!" Celestia chimes in.

"What happened to you big brother!"

"Don't worry Twily, Its just a flesh wound."

"Thank you human for helping him!" Luna says.

"No problem." I reply as I set him down to lean his back against the wall.

Me now leaning against the wall to, I remove my cover and ghost mask and stuff them into my left cargo pocket. Reveling my white skin with a little bit of tan to it and short dirty blond hair.

"Woe, so that's what you look like!" I look to my right and see spike close to my side.

"Sup?" I ask trying to be friendly.

"Uh..Nothing much I guess."

"Yeah, well me nether now." I reply with a small chuckle

Two ponies, both male wearing armor with red crosses came up and look me and Shining over. Me having cloths that conceal my whole body except for my head, the doctor could not get a clear look at my body's condition. I tell him that I'm fine and that he should go help the guys out in the street with their wounds. He gives a simple nod and trots off. The images of the dead still burning in my head, I sit there silently slumped over. I remove both my hard knuckle gloves and slip them into my left upper pocket.

Then a shiver started to run through my body. It hit me like a ton of bricks. Remembering my diabetes I begin to shake from low blood sugar and take deep breaths.

"Human are you alright!" Celestia asks worried.

I shake my head no. Lifting up my ACU jacket and untucking the front of my tan t-shirt. I unhook my insulin pump's wire from my body. Then I take the pump itself out of my pocket and place it on the floor.

"Won't...be...needing that anymore." I say between breaths.

"Human what is that, what is happening to you!?"

"Looks like...this is...how it ends." I say solemnly.

"What!?"

"I'm...dying...from a fatal disease."

"No please, let me try a healing spell, I'm sure I can..."

"No...your magic...wont work on me. Don't ask why...I don't know." I cut celestia off.

"Please their must be something we can do!?" Luna pleads.

"Here...take these." I say, taking my tags off and presenting them to her. She levitates with her magic them from my open hand closer to herself.

"A little something for you all to remember me by."

"But human...after all of that, you can't die like this!" Shining Armor protests.

I look him in the eye and give him a firm shake on his shoulder.

"So long...brother in arms.

Knowing what's to come, I start to pull out my wire that was in my body to allows the pump to deliver the insulin. It stung like always, I throw it off to the side not caring were it landed. With nothing left to do, I sing a part of my favorite song for what was sure to be my last moments in life.

Weeee are the ones who will never be broken

with our final breath..we'll fight to the death

I see the darkness come as I close my eyes and then... the feeling of bliss. I had felt it before, after three long days of intense pain in my body, when I went to the clinic

"No, no please human, don't go!" Luna pleads again.

The girl's and spike hang their heads low with tears starting to form in their eyes, never really having watched a living being die, as did Shining and the princesses. But when Celestia opened her eyes to gaze upon the soul passing before her, she saw a glowing from the corner. Turning her head, Celestia sees something unbelievable. A strange image of Rainbow Dash's cutie mark was forming in front of her. Rainbow Dash nor anypony else not noticing with their eyes shut and head hung. Princess Celestia was the first to raise their awareness of it.

"Rainbow Dash, something is happening before you!"

All eyes now opened and looking where Celestia had directed, they see what is happening.

"What the hey!" Rainbow Dash exclaims.

As she does so, her cutie mark's glowing image shoots out a beam of energy towards the human. Everypony awestruck watches in astonishment as a beam of light forms a red aura sphere around the humans body. In moments another light forms within the sphere, this one white. Finally, one last light appears on top of the human's right hand. It was blue, one forming into an all two familiar cutie mark shape. After what seamed like forever, the magic red beam bearing the image of Rainbow Dash's cutie mark had vanished, as did the other lights.

In place of the blue light on the human's hand, was an image, it was none other Rainbow Dash's cutie mark.

"What happened!" Twilight questioned.

"That was so cool!" Spike added along with the girls saying.

"I don't know darling!"

"What in tarnation!"

"I'm so nervouscited!"

"Ohmygoshohmygoshohmygosh!" Rainbow dash repeated franticly. While Fluttershy was shivering in fear on the floor.

"What in Equestria was that!" Shining asked out loud.

"I do not know captain!" Luna answered.

Celestia quickly trotted up to the unconscious human. Noticing his shivering had ceased, his breathing steadied. "Luna come look!" Celestia hurried her sister. Luna trots up to her older sister's side.

"Has he...obtained Rainbow Dash's cutie mark?" Luna asked.

"It would seem so Luna, and whatever has just occurred with our friend Rainbow Dash, has stabilized his condition. Guards!" Celestia calls to her sentries.

An Earth pony and unicorn that had been present, rush to their monarch and stand at attention.

"Take the human to one of the guest rooms and leave him to rest, when you are done come to the main road of Canterlot!"

"Yes princess Celestia!" They reply in unison as they scoop up the humans body and carry him off on their backs.

Celestia then turns to address the girls. Who were in a group huddle talking up a storm over what had happened.

"My little ponies." Celestia began. Before she could continue, each of the girls asked the sun goddess if she knew what happened.

"It may have to do with the elements of harmony coming into contact with his element of liberty. But we will discuss this later. It would be best if you all stay here at the palace."

"But princess, we want to see what has happened out in the city!"

"Princess Twilight and friends, remember when the human warrior said...bloodshed?"

"Y-yes?" Twilight replied with worry.

"Twily." Shining Armor cut in.

Everypony turned to look at the captain of the guard still laying his back against the wall.

"Please just listen to her, what happened out there is something I never want you to have to see. Please just stay here."

Twilight and Spike along her friends exchange glances starting to get the picture nod and trot away with out word.

"Thank you captain, You should rest, after the doctor heals your leg."

"Yes your majesty ."

Celestia then turns back to her sister Luna.

"Come Luna, we must oversee the clean up. We should also look for the humans weapons, I noticed he did not have those large silver blades with him."

"Yes sister." Luna replies.

Both royal sisters turn to leave. Princess Celestia stops once to look back and whisper..."Please sleep soundly tonight my little ponies.
