Twilight was in the Canterlot royal archives, always an open-minded learner. It had been a little time since she became the newest princess of Equestria. She and spike were going over books specifically about magic. Being the princess of magic she was always in the market for any new spells.

"Spike come here quick!"

"What is it Twilight, you find a good one?"

"Yes come look, its full of spells on summoning creatures for aid, it might be useful!"

"Really, that's awesome let me see!"

"Oh spike I can't believe it! It has Timber wolves, Dragons, Diamond dogs, Minotaurs, and...Hu..mans?"

"Humans?" spike asked out of curiosity.

"I'm just as clueless as you spike?"

"Well read on, what does it say about them?"

"It says that Humans are a bipedal creatures and some can stand up to 6 and over feet in height!"

"Wow that's taller than princess Celestia!"

"I know lets keep reading! It goes on to say that they are generally a peaceful race with others...than themselves? They have since gone extinct from a surreys of wars between themselves!"

Twilight and Spike were shocked from this discovery.

"Wow Twilight, that's really sad, a race killed itself off with war."

"I know Spike if only they had known the power of friendship, they mite of survived to this day.

Twilight moved onward to read again.

However ponies have lived with these beings while they still walked the Earth, fortunately some powerful unicorns have created spells to summon certain beings of their now extinct race. This book containing the spell to summon the warriors of their societies!"

"Really Twilight! Can you do that! Can you bring some of them back!"

"While I do believe myself powerful enough to do so Spike, I'm not sure that's such a good Idea. But...I guess it couldn't cause harm to at least know the spell."

"Alright Twilight!" The baby dragon shouted in excitement.

"But I'll only use it as a last resort should the need arise."

"Aww alright Twilight, but still, you could bring an extinct race back!"

"You know Spike, the more you think about it, these creatures sound a lot like those intelligent beings we saw in that world through the mere portal."

"Hey yeah."

"Twilight!" Shining Armor had been searching for his little sister and had been told she was in the royal archives.

"Big brother why are you here!?" Twilight and Shining embraced each other in a hug.

"I'm so glad your here big brother!"

"Me to Twilight but I'm sorry, we don't have time for a celebration."

"What's wrong big brother?"

"Princess Celestia will explain when we get there but right now we need you."

"Alright, Spike you put these books back and then come join us."

"Yes mam!" Spike gives Twilight a snappy solute.

It had been nearly a week, it was Thursday now. I was wearing my Army pants from my ACU uniform and a black t-shirt with a white and red hoodie I painted myself. I have a few hoodies I made from an Assassin's Creed inspired design. This one being an AC3 Desmond Miles inspired one, I also have a American Eagle jacket with the military branches symbols ironed onto various spots. I also made AC3 and black flag inspired hoodies to.

I still feel a little down from last week. But I have to go to school. Regardless of my heartache. I head out the door and make my way down the street. Slowly walking to my bus stop with my eyes staring at the ground along the way. At lest I'm alone for little longer to get my head together. I had been trying to think about the positive. They people from the Army and Navy stands had said if I were to be cured some day and be cleared by a doctor I could enlist. I also had thought maybe I could try coast guard or the nation guard. Maybe even work with a company that is dedicated to troops, Like the companies that make the gear, at least its something. Maybe I could even do police SWAT or FBI Tactical Operations.

The thought made me perk up a bit. A small smile found its way on my face as I wait at my bus stop. The sun was just coming over the horizon. I can see a couple buses coming down the road my way, among them was mine. When they came to a stop at the three way I and a few other kids where standing off to the side on. We boarded one by one then one bus would take off and the next would come to take its place. The next being mine, I board and say good morning to my driver then take my seat. I lean my head on the window closing my eyes, I take a deep breath and get relaxed as we ride our way to school.

"WHAT!" Twilight exclaims.

"Yes princess Twilight it is true, the Changelings are coming as we speak."

"But princess Celestia what are..."

"We're here Twilight!" Pinkie pie, Rainbow Dash, Rarity, Fluttershy and Applejack had just entered the meeting room.

"Girls!" Twilight calls.

They all embraced in a group hug.

"Oh we misted you so much Twilight we need to have a it's been almost a week until we last saw you, and you turned into an alicorn, lets party!"

"Sorry Pinkie but we have a big problem on our hooves."

"About that partner...."

" Yeah what's with the cloak and dagger anyway?" Rainbow Dash cut Applejack off.

"Yes darling the massager only said that it was urgent to come as soon as possible?" Rarity continued the circle of interruption.

Twilight only looked at them with worry of her next words.

"What's wrong Twilight, you can tell us we're your friends, that is if you don't mind. Fluttershy tried to comfort her friend, but all twilight did was look down.

"Girls." Princess Celestia said softly.

The main six turned their heads to their ruler.

"The secrecy was to avoid causing a mass panic to the other settlements."

"What would cause such a thing princess?" Rarity asked with a hint of fear.

"It is the Changelings my little ponies, they are invading and have their sight's set on Canterlot yet again."

Everypony gasped.

"Yes and we must try to hold the line here, against this menace. Shining Armor stated with determination.

"Shining Armor and my sister Luna are overseeing the cities defense's and urging citizens to stay indoors."

"You mite have to use that spell after all Twilight." Spike comments. whom had been silent the majority of the meeting.

"Spike shh!" Twilight shoots a hoof up to her lips.

"Spell, Twilight?" Princess Celestia asked, she didn't have a look of anger or disappointment, just a curious expression with her head tilted to the side.

"*Sigh* Yes princess, a new spell Spike and I have discovered in the Canterlot royal archives."

"What kind of spell Twilight?"

"A spell of summoning princess."

"Summon what Twilight?"

"A....Human....princess."

Princess Celesta's eyes went wide, that was a word she had heard before since even Luna's birth. Princess Celesta took a few moments to contemplate what Twilight just said. After she had soaked it in, she closed her eyes and sighed.

"Princess Celestia are you alright." Twilight questioned.

"It seems you have discovered an ancient family secret my once faithful student."

"Princess?"

"There are stories that my mother and father would tell me since even I was a filly, before even Luna was born and they had disappeared, leaving me and Luna the throne. She had been writing a book and telling me of these beings, how they would live, create, build and come together. But also.....turn on each other. They would constantly fight in civil wars for land, power and resources.

But among them was a united group of Humans that fought for freedom from the oppression, tyranny. All they wanted was Justice and wanted equality among each other. With them we're the first of my family and pony kind. My mother was one of those ponies. But knowing their fate, to eventually lose fall to war, the humans planed to leave with the ponies to thrive somewhere safe from all the fighting. The other factions power hungry had invaded before they could, and so the humans stayed. They fought to the death as the ponies sailed from the land, all the ponies could do was watch as they drifted away.

My parents said they gave her the power to summon young warriors that believes in the same ideals as they did. They were known as the elements of liberty. In that memory, the elements of harmony were forged with the tree of harmony, planted with the seeds of friendship from all three of the pony races. After they came by sail to find this land that is."

The main six were shocked in silence at this revelation of an ancient history.

"I am glad you found this spell Twilight, for you have reminded me we do have a major defense for Equestria, other than the elements of harmony. We have the elements of liberty. Warriors to shield the citizens with there hearts and love, to defy to the very end."

The girls were still silent.

"Please Twilight, I need to see this book for myself."

Twilight recomposed herself and responded. "Yes princess."

Canterlot royal archives: "Here it is princess" Spike said pulling out the book.

"Ah the book of summoning, thank you Spike."

Princess Celestia began to flip through the pages when Twilight spoke up.

"Princess Celestia."

"Yes Twilight?"

"Its about the humans."

"What about them Twilight?"

"Remember when I was sent to retrieve my crown from that...other world."

"Of course...and?"

"Well the book seemed to portray the humans features, the same as the intelligent beings Spike and I encountered on the other side of the mere portal."

"Really!?"

"Yes princess!"

"Pardon me partner but what are these -hemans- yawl are talking about look like?"

"Well Applejack, they are described and by my eye witness account, as tall bipedal creatures with little hare covering their body. They can grow over 6 feet tall! Also the book went on to say that they are often at war with each other. From what I've seen in the other world they are vary advanced in technology compared to us! But most of them were so friendly, I just can't wrap my head around why they are so prone to war!?"

"That is rather strange that this race of intelligent life forms exists on another world or possibly another deamination."

"Well how do we know that we can trust these guys hm?" Rainbow Dash cut in.

"It will have to be decided at the battle my little ponies. Princess Celestia had found what she was looking for in the book and was satisfied. As you have seen on your way here I am sure. I have sent Shining Armor and my sister Luna to put the city on lockdown and keep citizens at home."

"But what about the Changelings your majesty?" Rarity asked in concern.

"Our scouts say that they have left the badlands and are on their way here, we expect them to be here tomorrow afternoon.

When they arrive, we will call upon the humans for aid and test their skill in real battle.

I have informed Shining and Luna about this and they agree that it would be a good idea to let them fight the battle with us."

"WHAT?" The girls shout in unison.

"I know it seems unfair to make a warrior of different nationality to fight our battle for us, but we must know the extent of their ability's should we need them in future endeavors. But girls you must understand once we summon them, he or her, there is no sending them back."

"But princess I saw that they have feelings, families and homes. Think of how that would make them feel." Twilight said in concern.

"I know Twilight and I have, we can only hope they understand."

The room was silent for a few moments then Pinkie Pie broke it.

"But...that's so mean to do to somepony."

"Yeah, why can't we use the elements of harmony?"

"Pinkie, Rainbow Dash, Twilight said. The decision is made, don't make it any harder than this has to be."

After another few moments of silence princess Celestia the spoke.

"Now my little ponies it would be best if you all rest, its getting late and you will all need your energy for what's to come."

The girls, not including Twilight and spike, simply bowed and trotted away. But they all head something in mind. Something they were to distracted by the threat of invasion to catch. What is the tree of harmony.
