Chapter 15: Chapter 15- Deadly Discussions

Previous Chapter Next Chapter

Rainbow ran as fast as she could down the halls. The ceiling way to low to fly. A madly thumping crowd of griffins chasing her. But she was ahead. Way ahead. Her only source of light was the small barred windows, glimmering upon her as she ran past. Her black cloak swiftly gliding as she ran, her hood down. She saw the doors to her destination, and began to speed up. Her legs already starting to ache. Two griffins stood before the door, pointing out their spears and swords. She glanced back at the crowd far behind her, sighing.

"I guess there's only one way to do this." She skidded to halt in front of the guards in front of the doors. They both yelled out raising their swords to strike the pegasus. She chuckled to herself at this amateur move, sliding behind the griffins with her bracer out. As she stood up, the griffins wobbled to the sides, their stomachs pouring out blood. She kicked them down, the two of them coughing and struggling to get up. Rainbow smiled as she slowly walked over- sliding out her dagger- and slitting throats, watching their eyes roll back as they gargled on their blood.

Suddenly, the griffin she stood before turned into a pony. A light blue pegasus pony, with a dark blue, windswept mane. The life draining from the emerald green eyes. She gasped in horror, throwing the dagger to the floor. Walking backwards, before tripping on her cloak, she fell by the door. Her head bashing against it. She began hyperventilating as she stared at the dead 'pony' on the floor., and the blood upon her hooves.

"Oh no. Nonono."

"Snap out of it, Rainbow!"

"What have I done?"

"Rainbow!!"

"What have I become?"

"Rainbow Dash!!"

The door quickly opened wide, making the mare fall backwards. She looked up to see a grinning griffin, towering above her.
"Miss Rainbow Dash. A pleasure to see you." He smirked.

~~~~~~
"Nice of you to join us, dear." Feather sneered, holding a glass of wine in his claw. The pegasus mare sat at a chair. No chains, no guards. She kept her eye on him. He must be up to something.
"Shall I introduce you to my daughter? Gilda, darling come here." He clicked his claws.
"I know...well, I used to know your daughter very well, actually." Rainbow replied as the female griffin sat beside her father.
"Used to? Oh yes. The argument at Ponyville. With you choosing your pony friends over my daughter. And you call yourself loyal."
"Dad. It was my fault. I was being a jerk. Heck, I nearly killed a pony." Gilda defended, a look of sorrow and guilt upon her face.
"Nonsense, dear. You're supposed to kill. Especially after you take my place."
"I don't want to!! I don't want to invade Equestria!! I like ponies and Equestria!!"
Feather chuckled, glancing at the mare.
"Silly girl. Whatever do you mean, you like Equestria?"
Before Gilda could say anything, the pegasus stood up and interrupted.
"Excuse me, Sir Feather Wing. But, we have more important things than family arguments right now." She placed her hoof in her saddle bags, the image of her dead ex-lover still stuck in her mind- before pulling out a scroll.
"The Gryphon Islands are one of our biggest trading partners. And many of your griffins live in Equestria."
"Traitors. We deserve better. Equestria will burn in the flames of the fires we light. We are sick of Equestria being dominate. Being the leaders. It's time for the griffins to rise."
"Ah-ha. For a starter, Equestria will not burn. We will protect it."
"What. The Assassin's Creed? Don't make me laugh." He sniggered.
"We protect Equestria. Being the strongest defence we have. But we don't want to fight with you. So please, the Princesses beg of you, make peace with us, and live in harmony." Rainbow begged. Gilda shook her father's arm, also begging for the peace. However, his mind was set. He will destroy Equestria.
"I am so very sorry, Miss Dashery." He grinned manically, clicking his claws again. Another griffin walked in, holding a small briefcase. "I also, formerly apologise for not attending your wedding. I don't recall receiving an invitation."
Before anyone could utter a word, two guards pushed the mare against the table. Before dragging her onto the table. It annoyed her so much that griffins could literally throw a pony, being the stronger species. She tried fighting back but the guards had a strong hold on her. Holding her down on the table.
The griffin with the briefcase walked over, placing the case on the table, beside Rainbow.
"Dad? What are you doing? She's still my friend. Don't hurt her." Gilda begged again, but her father ignored her completely. He just grinned at the struggling mare.
"You see, Miss Dash. The Assassin's Creed maybe the strongest of Equestria's defence, but once that is gone, so will be Equestria." He stared with absolute joy as the griffin with the briefcase pulled out a syringe with a strange clear liquid.
"And to get rid of the Creed, is to get rid of the leader who supports it. Once the leader is gone, it will crumble like a cracker."
"Dad!! Please!! You don't have to do this!!"
"You are about to be injected with a new substance, only known to Griffins." He said as the pegasus was stabbed in the neck with the needle. The liquid forcing itself into her bloodstream.
"First, you'll feel dizzy, weak and sick. After that you'll be as light as rain. But you won't notice the damage it will do to your body."
As the needle was pulled out, the guards let go of her and she fell to the floor in a heap. Struggling to keep herself up. Her head hung low.
Gilda tried running over to the mare, but was held back another guard.
"You have five days, Rainbow Dash. Five days until your body will shut-down. Five days of agony as it destroys you. And it has no known cure." Feather cackled, but he stopped immediately as he heard the pegasus chuckling. Her mane covering her face.
"What? What's so funny?"
"Thank you." Rainbow croaked.
"Thank you? What are you on about?" He demanded.
Rainbow lifted her head, her rose eyes glittering as they filled with tears.
"You've done something I could never do." She shakily stood up, beginning to walk out.
"Do what?"
"Kill me." She smiled as she fluttered out, preparing for the day long flight back to Canterlot. Leaving the stuttering griffin with his almost crying daughter.
