The Skrulls have turned you against each other. Broken bones, destroyed buildings, these things are easily repaired. But broken friendships, broken trust, wounds such as these take much longer to heal.

“WWWWWWWWWWWHHHHHHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAATTTTTTTTTTTTTTT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” shouted all seven defendants at once.

“You are joking right?” Shining Armour asked his eyes wide; he didn’t think his sister would be able to run Equestria herself. The pressure would probably crack her within a week.

“The Equestrian Council is quite serious in this matter EX-captain Armour.” Arthur said sending Shining back into his seat with a glare “the Council has decided that Ms Sparkle can do more for Equestria than merely being Celestia’s personal attack dog!”

“HOW DARE YOU!!!!!!!” Celestia shouted her anger rising at Arthur’s comment “Twilight is not an attack dog as you call her, she is like my daughter!!!”

“So you would be willing to coldly shun your daughter at her most vulnerable time?” fired back Arthur, making Celestia take a step backwards.

“Council please reconsider, Twilight is not yet ready for a responsibility of this magnitude!” Celestia said facing the council looking like she was begging.

“This decision is not yours to make Celestia.” Arthur fired back shaking her head “it will be Ms Sparkle’s decision if she takes this title and responsibility.”

“Twilight is not yet ready, please trust me on this......” Celestia said trying again to plea.

“My daughter trusted you to listen to her concerns and it lead to her being trapped in a cave where she could have been killed.” Said Twilight’s father Night Light getting from his seat glaring at the Sun Princess.

“After the failed wedding I tried to comfort my daughter but she was too upset to even look at me, it was mainly thanks to you that she in that state!” said Twilight’s mother Twilight Velvet who’s glare was similar to her husband’s.

“Councillor Light and Councillor Velvet I understand how you are both feeling but please be calm and sit yourselves down, you can state your displeasure with the Princess, after this hearing is concluded.” Arthur said turning his head to the chairs behind him. Twilight’s parents calmed down as they sat down.

“The Princess is right though, Twilight will probably just stress herself and try to find a book on ruling.” Applejack said suddenly.

“She will probably be enforcing mandatory hour long book sessions every day.” Shouted Rainbow Dash.

“I am not sure if Twilight darling can lead Equestria herself, though I could help her with high society functions.” Rarity said.

“I think Twilight won’t be able to run Equestria, if that doesn’t sound so mean.” Fluttershy said in a whisper.

“Oh I could throw her a ‘Twilight I am so super duper sorry for not believing you about the big fat meanie Princess imposter and congratulations for becoming Regent of Equestria’ party!” Pinkie said jumping up and down on her seat.

“I would like to remind the defendants they are in enough hot water as it is and it is nopony’s choice but Ms Sparkle’s!!!!!” Arthur barked out, his face showing how annoyed he was getting with the seven since the hearing started.

“The seven defendants are asked not to speak up again unless questioned or face contempt of court!” the judge said sternly.

Twilight had been whispering to Cadence who then stood up. “Princess Cadenza?” asked the judge.

“Your honour Twiley has asked if she takes a minute to discuss it with myself and Aunt Luna.” Cadence said. The Council then looked at eachother and nodded.

“Accepted.” The Judge said as Princess Luna flew out of her seat and joined Twilight and Cadence in the lobby.

“I am really not sure about this, being a Regent of Equestria seems like a lot of work.” Twilight whispered.

“Twilight Sparkle without you I would not have been saved by from my evil Nightmare Powers and I would not have reconnected with today’s Equestria.” Luna said smiling “I know you know more about the modern day to govern it than I do, that is why I proposed it to the Council when we were going over the verdict.”

“You did?” Twilight asked and Luna nodded.

“I know it is in you Twilight Sparkle.” Luna said putting her hoove on Twilight’s shoulder.

“You will have Luna helping you and I would be more than happy to help myself as I had been raised on how to rule myself.” Cadence giving Twilight a comforting smile.

“I guess I made my choice then.” Twilight said as they re-entered the courtroom and took their seats.

“I think I will accept it if Cadence would be in a role to help and advice me, as I feel she is the one I trust to help me in that position. Also I think at my state in mind I would need professional help in helping me get over what has happened today.” Twilight said looking a little unsure, Celestia felt a little hurt by the first bit in Twilight’s comment.

The council along with Arthur looked at themselves and then nodded. The Judge then faced the entire court “okay it is now official. Twilight Sparkle has been granted the position of Regent of Equestria to govern the land for the time being alongside Princess Luna and Princess Mi Amore Cadenza will act as Regent Sparkle’s advisor. Regent will also be assigned a psychiatrist to help her cope with her ordeals today.. Court is adjourned.” The judge said banging his gavel using his magic.

A small group of guards came to Twilight and a yellow Pegasus said “Regent Sparkle we would like to help accompany you and Princess Cadenza to your new office and make sure you are not disturbed.”

“Thanks Mr.....” Twilight asked trying to be polite.

“Flash Sentry, Regent Sparkle!” the Pegasus said as Twilight and Cadence following the guard. as Twilight’s friends, mentor and brother came out of the courtroom Twilight chose not to face them and Cadence sent a glare at her now ex-fiancé.

“What do we do now?” Pinkie asked looking deflated.

“The only thing we can do, work on our punishments and try to restore Twilight’s trust in us.” Celestia said which were a half sigh and a half sulk.

Shining Armour cringed when he saw his parents leave the courtroom trotting towards his direction.

Even though she didn’t look at them Twilight knew her ‘friends’ were there. If she was going to forgive them or if their friendship was forever broken she did not know yet.
