Twilight, Arby, and everypony else stared in awe as to what just happened. The portal somehow was opened when it shouldn't have been. This situation wasn't logical at all. Could the portal have been broken somehow; or did Chief do something to it when he was snooping around out of his room?

After a brief moment of awkward silence, Twilight trotted up to the mirror to test it out to see if it was truly open. when she touched the glass, she was shocked to discover that it was normal. The portal was sealed shut!

"But how can that be possible?" Twilight asked herself aloud.

"Beats me," Rainbow Dash replied shrugging.

"Maybe the force from the door was so great, that it send him in," Fluttershy theorized.

"Maybe; but I think I have a hunch. Twilight, is it alright if I make contact with this mirror? I won't go all the way in. I'll just stick the tip of my hoof in," Arby proposed.

Twilight was hesitant for a moment because she wasn't sure if it was a good idea, but she knew it was the only way. Plus, she always knew that Arby was smart.

"Sure, just be careful," Twilight warned.

"I will," Arby replied and nodded.

He trotted up too the mirror, and gently raised his hoof up to touch the glass. As his suspicions confirmed, the glass glowed and rippled too his touch. Everypony gasped in surprise.

"Just as I thought,"

"What is it?" Twilight asked tilting her head in confusion.

"It's obvious really. Since me and Chief are not from this realm, it maybe possible that the portal knows who is a real pony, and who is not. You said that this portal leads to a world where everypony here was changed into a human right?"

"Yes," Twilight replied still not catching on.

"Well if that's the case. I would say that the portal only reacted to me and Chief because we come from a world where humans exist, and if this world has humans, then the portal will allow us too pass. Does that make sense?" Arby asked.

Everypony thought for a moment to process what Arby just said. After a moment of thinking, they began to understand.

"Makes perfect sense to me," Rainbow Dash said.

"But now here's the drawback. Once the transportation is complete, the door will automatically seal up. Too make a long story short, Chief will be trapped their until the thirty moon cycle is complete when both sides are allowed to cross through."

Everypony gasped again.

"So yer sayin' that if ya were ta chase after Chief by goin' through the portal, you wouldn't be able too return until thirty moons have passed?" Applejack asked looking very depressed and shocked.

"I'm afraid so," Arby replied sadly.

"Oh sugarcube!" Applejack cried and hugged Arby tightly with tears running down her cheeks. "Please don't go! We can't bear to live without ya! Neither can Ah!"

"Shhh, it's alright. But who knows what kinds of trouble Chief can cause in that alternate realm, so he needs to be stopped. I wouldn't plan on going after him unless I have a solution for returning back to Equestria without having to wait two in a half years. I like living in this dimension and I don't want to leave it and you guys behind for a long time. If their is a way of returning here after completing this task, I would sure like to hear an idea."

Twilight thought for a moment, then said, "We have to return to Canterlot to see Celestia about this matter. I'm sure she can think of something for this scenario. Of course she'll be informed about the incident that took place during the feast. What he did can't be tolerated to avoid punishment; which we will decide later when we retrieve him."

Everypony nodded in agreement. Applejack calmed down a bit.

"Ah'm glad ya wouldn't deliberately abandon us like this," Applejack said with a small smile.

Arby smiled,"Of course I would never leave you guys. You are the best friends that anypony could ask for. Plus I would never leave the ones I love," he said placing his gaze on Applejack making her blush sweetly.

"Well c'mon then! What are we waiting for? Let's not stay here anymore then we need too! Chief could be robbing a bank by now!" Rainbow Dash stated.

Twilight nodded, "She's right. Let's move," Twilight then had a thought. "What about my brother and Cadence through. Are they going to be alright?"

"They'll be okay princess Twilight, they just need some rest that's all," Flash reassured.

Twilight relaxed and blushed a bit, "Thank you Flash,"

He blushed as well, "Your welcome, your majesty."

When the gang finally retuned back to Canterlot, they rushed into Celestia's throne room as quickly as they could. As usual, Celestia was there to meet them.

"I'm glad you could make it," Celestia said formally. She was already told about what Chief did to Shining Armor and Cadence, and was not happy about it.

"I'm sorry that I failed to keep a close eye on Chief like I promised your majesty. It's just that I got so caught up in spending time with Applejack that I forgot all about...."

Celestia silenced him by raising her hoof.

"It's alright Arby, I understand perfectly. I'm proud of the affection that you share with Applejack. Love makes Equestria a better place to be. You won't be punished, but Chief will be. I'm probably thinking of some sort of community service."

"Actually your majesty, it might be better to strip him of his video game privileges. Obviously that's one thing he can't live without," Arby suggested.

Celestia thought, "Oh yes, of course. Matter of fact he should just be forced to watch my sister play her games. I can tell you she's one heck of a vicious player. I swear sometimes this castle is filed with her angry rants when she plays online." A small chuckle escaped Celestia's lips.

"Sounds fine to me."

"Celestia, do you know how we can pursue Chief into the parallel world without having to wait until the thirty moon cycle is up?" Twilight asked.

Celestia thought some more.

"Hmmm, one way is to ask my sister if she could quickly rotate the moon until it reaches thirty, but that may corrupt the balance of the moon in the other world," Celestia stated.

"Then what's the other way?" Twilight asked.

"Follow me," Celestia said.

The gang followed Celestia to the vault where the Elements of Harmony were stored. As usual Celestia stuck her horn in the lock hole, and used her magic to open up the vault.

Celestia then opened up the chest and pulled out Twilight's crown containing her element. Celestia then casted some kind of spell on the element that made it flash purple. When Celestia was done, she levitated the crown onto Twilight's head.

"What did you do to my element?" Twilight asked Celestia curiously.

"I enchanted it will a spell that will allow you to pass into the alternate world freely, it will also let you open a portal back too Equestria when you wish; but Chief must be in your presence. Unfortunately the spell will only last for twenty-four hours," Celestia explained.

"Twenty-four hours? But the trip back to the Crystal empire will take fourty-eight," Twilight said shocked by the short amount of time.

"I'm on it," Celestia said and casted another spell.

This time she used her magic to open up some sort of slipspace portal in the throne room. The jaws of everypony dropped.

"When you enter this portal, it should take you to the alternate realm, but it will close behind you when you enter. When you do return to Equestria, you should be transported back to the Crystal Empire to be picked up, and where Chief will be apprehended," Celestia said.

"Why can't the rest of us go this time?" Rainbow Dash demanded. "It doesn't seem fair!"

"Like I said before. We can't risk a corruption in balance by sending all of you. Arby and Twilight are the only ones who don't have counterparts so their safe," Celestia explained.

Rainbow Dash and the others groaned.

"I know, but it's the right thing to do. Now both of you, go quickly and make haste," Celestia addressed Twilight and Arby who both nodded.

"Take could care of him Twi," Applejack said with small tears in her eyes and a hint of worry on her face.

"Don't worry Applejack, we'll be fine," Twilight reassured.

"It'll be okay sweetheart. I'll keep an eye out for any kind of danger. I love you," Arby said and embraced Applejack tightly. She did the same.

"Ah love ya too hun'," Applejack replied and kissed Arby passionately on the lips. Arby returned the favor back to her.

"Please, you need to go, now," Celestia said more firmly.

Arby and Applejack quickly broke the kiss and nodded to eachother mutually. Then Arby turned too Twilight.

"C'mon Twilight, let's go. On the count of three."

Twilight nodded in agreement.

"One........two.........THREE!!!"

When Arby reached three, Twilight and Arby grabbed hoofs and leapt into the portal at the sametime. The portal instantly closed behind them leaving everypony to stare at nothing.

'Please be safe sugarcube,' Applejack thought anxiously.
