Chapter 5: Rubble Trouble

It was late at night in the country of china, its magnificent Great Wall sprawling around like a fortress. But in the forest, a leaf fell on a smoldering fire file. And in nature, it takes only one single leaf, to start a reaction that a small fire broke out in the forest. A small fire twig hit a capsule, containing a dino and move card. The flames ignited around the cards and they glowed in a fire red color. The light faded and unleashed a powerful green scaled predator, known as Carcharodontosaurus.

Roaring in its arrival, it unleashed a powerful fireball from its jaw, and the ball exploded in a distance, creating another massive fire. Success in its job, it roared once again and moved into the forest, causing more havoc.

Little did it know, another capsule was near the wall, away from the flames, but it was glowing lightly by the power of the fair. It's time was almost here for the dino inside to be unleashed.

(zooming up on a body of water, the D-Team is seen. The guitars kick in and Pterosaurs flew near the D-team and flew into the blue skies. They then flew past the Humane six and Sonata as the prehistoric era was seen)

Chilling out with the crew in the schoolyard

(Max is seen, running along side his baby version of a baby Triceratops.)

Finding trouble, never working too hard

(Rex is seen next, running with a baby Carnotaurus.)

Back in class they never taught us this

(Zoe was next, running with a baby Parasaurolophus)

Some things you gotta learn, hit or miss!

(The humane six, Sonata and the D-Team join up as the three dinos glowed)

Tough times, hard climbs

(Max takes out a card with an adult Triceratops and sweeps it along a handheld device.)

We'll take them all together!

(Rex and Zoe follow suite and swipe their cards as well.)

Right now, let's go!

(Both groups stand together with the three dinos at full strength with the dinos roaring.)

Game on, get your game on!

(Chomp and Max stand side by side as Chomp charges in.)

Come on, you better play your cards right!

(Rex draws a new card as Ace stands ready for battle.)

(Zoe and Paris are right behind them as Zoe performs one of her unique moves when using her own move cards.)

You'll make the grade and win this fight!

(Sonata runs with a card in her hand, while being chased by a T-rex and tosses the card to Rex, who swipes it. A guitar solo then comes out as multiple dinos from the different elements ready their own signature moves. Among them are Terry, Spiny and Tank, tackling the Alpha gang and Terry biting Dr. Z's beard.)

You'll make the grade somehow,

(As all of the dinos begin fighting, on yeah, Max and Sunset give each other a high five. Then all of them are shown.)

Game on, get your game on!

Come on, you better play your cards right!

(Chomp, Ace, Paris, even Terry, Spiny and Tank in their full forms dash around one another, fighting for what's at stake on both sides!)

(All three raise their cards into the air as the title shows, Terry's roar shaking it up just like in the original opening.)

At Zeta point, Zander was bouncing around testing some new bouncing shoes.

"I love these. I feel like I'm walking on air. They're great! Can I have a pair!? I'll never take them off! I love them!" Zander said, enjoying the shoes.

"Cool, huh? I think this is one of our best inventions so far." Rod said.

"I wouldn't know, since Zander won't take them off, so I can find out." Ed said.

"If you run in those new jumping shoes, you can hop across a football field in just 5 steps." Rod explained.

"Hey! How do I turn these things off!? Help!" Zander called as he bounced around, away from the two.

"Zander, those are just a prototype. There's a button to shut them off, but I can't remember where!" Rod called out.

"Are you telling me i'm the first to try these crazy things!? Thanks a lot!" Zander said as he fell into a shoot and crashed into stuff. "Still going!" He called.

He crashed around at the lower levels and into a room where ursula was doing her make-up, putting lipstick on her lips.

"Help! Ursula, help em!" Zander pleaded as he accidentally bumped into her and kept bouncing.

"Grrr! Hey, watch it!" She snapped, and her lipstick got shoved into her nose. She looked into her little mirror to see it in her nose. "Aw, a style trend seder, or fashioned from pop." She said. "What am I saying!?" She blew her lipstick out of her nose and ran to Zander, who was still bouncing around.

"Stop, Zander!" Ed called as he tried to catch him.

"I really wish I can, but I can't! Zander replied, dodging their arms to grab him.

"Ed, mind helping me catch him!?" Ursula snapped.

"I can't! He's like an eel!" Ed replied.

"Together now!" Ursula said as they pressed him down just as Dr. Z arrived.

"How can I rule an evil Empire with this racket going on!?" He snapped angrily.

"Sorry. We were admiring your invention." Ursula explained.

"Guess what, grandpa?" Laura said coming in with Rod. "There's another Dinosaur spotted."

Z smirked. "Show me." The two pulled the map up and showed the location of the next card.

"It seems the next dinosaur is located near the Great Wall of China." Rod explained. "Did you know it's supposed to be the greatest piece of architecture created from mankind?" Rod explained.

"Bah! How dare they steal the place of history that belongs to me!? When my Dinosaur Kingdom is complete, I will make that wall look like a pile of rubble!"

"That's right!" The three called.

"And how do we plan on doing that?" Z asked.

"Capturing every Dinosaur and using every dirty trick in the book." Ursula replied. The three grew startled and quickly left.

"I guess I better get back to my homework now." Rod said quickly and lightly nervous.

"Yeah, right." Laura agreed and they quickly left as well.

"Huh? Was it something I said?" Z questioned himself, not knowing Elesa was behind him.

"Dr. Z!" She snapped, making him jump. "Could please explain why the room next door is a disaster!?"

"It wasn't me. Zander did it." Z said.

"I do not wish to hear the blame game! Just get over and clean it up, now!" She snapped angrily. The doc sighed.

Meanwhile, with the D-Team…

In the backyard of the D-lab, the others were around the area, while they allowed the dinosaurs to come out in their small forms and play for a bit, while the team looks around to find any source of cards or the stones. Rex and Rainbow Dash were at the walls, digging.

"I don't get why we're digging in this part of the backyard." Fluttershy said, while she was petting Paris, resting near a tree.

"You can say this is what we do in our spare time." Zoe said. "This part of the backyard holds a few fossils we like to dig up."

"Really?"

"Hey, I found another stone!" they heard Max call out, who was coming out of a bush, with something muddy in his hands. He wiped it, only to reveal a blue rubber ball. "Oh, it's just a ball."

"You think it's gonna be that easy, Max?" Sunset asked.

"As the member of the D-Team, it's our job to find the stones and cards." Max explained.

"If I remember, The Alpha Gang has three, if I might guess, we have three as well. So, that's six in total." Rainbow said.

"Not to mention all the cards out there." Sonata added in.

"It won't make sense for them to wind up here, since they scattered around the world." Zoe piped in.

Ace and Chomp were playing tag, and they were hopping around where Rainbow and Rex were digging.

"Watch it!" Rex said.

"Hey, lay off em, they're just playing." Rainbow said. "Hey, Razor! You think you can keep em off of Rex though?" The little Gastonia nodded and followed the two, making sure they keep their distance from the two.

"I've only just noticed this, but Razor is really obedient." Zoe said.

"Heh, he picked that up from me. Workin on mah farm and around the school, y'know?" Aj said smirking.

"Uh, does your family or anyone at your school know Razor is a dinosaur?" Max asked.

"Nope. But ah don't think I'll need razor to scare the staff. Then again, a baby dinosaur in the midst of two crises already… ah think he'll fit good." AJ said.

"Hey, look at this!" Rex said picking up a fossilized shell.

"I can't believe it, Rex! You dug up an ammonite!" Sunset said in amazement.

"And It's in perfect condition!" Rex said in awe and joy.

Suddenly, Chomp and Ace raced by and brushed Rex, causing him to drop the ammonite. Just before it shattered into a million pieces, Scales caught it on his back in the nick of time.

"Ah….whew. That was close." Rex sighed in relief. "Thanks, Scales." He thanked, taking the fossil from the herbivore. "But max, If you hadn't let them goof around, my ammonite would be in a million peices!"

"It is rather lucky Scales was there." Rarity said.

"Hey, look what I found!" Rainbow said, holding up a fossil of her own.

"Wow! That's a Trilobite!" Rex said in amazement.

Suddenly their holders and shots beeped.

"Whoop!" Sonata said.

"So much for a proper celebration. Come on!" Rex said as they carefully left their fossils and ran for the D-Lab.

Back with the Alpha gang, they were hang gliding to the destination.

"This is great." Zander said.

"I just wish I wasn't flying in the front." Ed said.

"Trust me, Ed. Be happy you're in the front and not behind Zander." Ursula said.

"Well, you can thank Helga for some Pork and Beans. How do you think we're flying?" Zander asked. Soon, the three saw the wall.

"There it is! The Great Wall of China!" Ed said.

"You'd think Dr. Z would be more specific though. Where's a sign when you need one?" Ursula said as they heard a roar and a flock of birds coming their way.

"Yes! That roar was definitely from a dinosaur and it scared those birds! We're close!" Ursula said. The flock of birds passed through them, and the chaos caused the birds to destroy their glider, and they fell. However the three were wearing the prototype bouncing shoes and it kept them from getting hurt.

"Hah! Good thing I decided to have us wear the jumping shoes! You can thank me later." Zander said.

"Think you can turn down some of the jumps!?" Ed asked.

"Zander, how do you turn these things off!?" Ursula asked.

"I still haven't figured out where the off button is." Zander admitted as they crashed into a tree.

Back at the D-Lab….

After getting a signal from the dinosaur, the team quickly moved to the lab.

"Where is the location coming from, Reese?" Max asked.

"It seems the location is coming from Asia...more specifically, near the Great Wall of China." She responded.

"Twilight would love that place. The longest wall in the world. Well, our world, more specifically but.." Sunset said.

"What was that?" Max said.

"Never mind. Let's get going before the Alpha Gang get's to the dinosaur first." She quickly responded as they got to the teleporter. They all teleported and left.

Back with the Alpha Gang…

The three were still hopping near the small town near the wall.

"I don't know about you guys, but I'm feeling a little jumpy." Zander said.

"I feel like throwing up." Ed moaned lightly.

"Well, I feel like hopping mad! I had enough of this bouncing around! Where's the off switch, Zander!?" Ursula snapped.

"Hang on, we're almost there! I can see the top from here!" Zander replied. "Just think of this as a trampoline!"

"I hate trampolines!" Ursula said. They stopped as a crowd of people scared by the dinosaur trampled them. Ironic.

"From trampoline to trampled-leen." Zander said before hearing the roar again. They looked up to see the Carcharodontosaurus causing havoc around the area.

"Look, the dinosaur!" Ursula said. "A car-car cara… urgh! How can you pronounce this dinosaurs name!?"

"I think its called Car...Cary..Caryodinosaurus?" Ed guessed.

"No, you're both wrong. It's pronounced Cardoorthodontosaurus...I think." Zander guessed as well.

On que, the group teleported into the inner area of the Great Wall. They heard Carcara roar as they looked outside.

"Whoa!" Rainbow said. "Guys, we got a big one!"

"It's carnivorous one, i can tell that for sure." Rex said.

"And judging by all of those teeth, thats gotta be a Carcharodontosaurus." Zoe said, as she got a better look from her pink goggles.

"Man, that's gotta be a mouthful." Sunset said. "Well we found it first, but no sign of the Alpha Gang, right?"

"Wrong, brat!" Ursula said. They were inside a tram. "That Carcharodontothing is ours!"

"Not the old lady again!" Sonata said pointing at the tram they were on.

"Stop calling me an old lady!" Ursula snapped angrily. "And furthermore, this is not a field trip for little kiddies like you, so just go on and pack up your lunch boxes and leave!"

"Were teenagers, missy!" AJ said.

"And there's no way you're getting to that dinosaur first!" Max said as they ran across the wall.

As the Alpha Gang was singing in their stupidity and the wrong way about the Charcara's name, the giant predator spotted them and raced to the tram they were on.

"Er, how strong are these trams compared to that thing?" Ursula asked in light fear.

"Not as strong as the jaws of that dinosaur.' Ed replied.

"Don't worry, I'm sure he's not hungry for a human being…" Zander said.

"But what about three?!" all of them said as the Carcharodontosaurus bashed his head against the trem, stopping it in its tracks. With one more hit, he destroyed the doors in the middle of their taunt. As they fell into the jaws of a predator a foot larger than the t-rex, the spring shoes saved them yet again, and they landed back in the car.

"You can thank me later." Zander said.

"I'll thank you while i still have the chance!" Ed replied.

"I'll handle this! Listen to me you big headed, short armed dinosaur with a name no one can pronounce!" Ursula called, shaking like a leaf.

"Do you really think this is the time to be insulting him?!" Zander asked.

"Butt out!" Ursula said "Fine, guess I have no choice but to summon Terry. Go!" Ursula said. In her haste, she forgot yet again that she was inside something.

"No, Ursula!" Ed called, while he and Zander were holding each other.

"Please not inside of the Trem!" he pleaded, but was too late as she swiped the card and Terry was summoned to his full size, destroying the Trem. To their surprise, the landed on their tip toes, and the springs retracted.

"I finally figured it out! The stop button is located on the toe of the shoe!" Zander said.

"Great!" the two replied as Terry landed and roared. He and the Carcharodontosaurus faced off, in a clash of the titans.

"Great, the battles already started! Terry beat us to the Carcharodontosaurus!" Rainbow said.

"We can't let them get that Carcharodontosaurus! We have to slow them down!" Rex said.

"I know a quicker way!" Max said as he went down the stairs.

"Max, wait! It'll be faster if we go forward on the rope station above!" Rex called.

"We'll slip up into Teams! Rarity, Fluttershy, Pinkie and Zoe. Go with Rex! Me, Sonata, AJ, and Rainbow will go with Max!" Sunset said.

"Why do they always have diverting decisions?" Zoe said as they split off.

Terry and Carcharodontosaurus were already fighting, snapping each other's jaws at one another. Max and his group were already out, while the others followed along the path of the wall.

"Looks like Max's group has already got out." Fluttershy said.

"At least they'll try to slow the Alpha Gang down." Zoe said.

The giant green scaled predator roared and activated his move, as fired ignited from his mouth and fired. Terry dodged the attack, but the move hit the area where Fluttershy and Zoe were. The rubble crumbled below them as they screamed, getting buried alive.

"ZOEY!" The two boys shouted.

"FLUTTERSHY!" The girls called in panic to their timid friend.

Terry charged in before a swath of flamed diverted the path between him and Carcharodontosaurus.

(Play- Mario Strikers Charged Music - Opening music)

The flames spread around the area and the capsule was near the flames this time. Feeling the heat, the capsule glowed and popped open, revealing a new card. As the flames ignited around the card, It glowed brightly, catching everyone's attention.

The flames spread outward as a roar came and something jumped up and it skydived to the center of the two predators. Terry and the Carcharodontosaurus quickly jumped out of the way as the dust exploded around the creature. With one power swipe of its head, the dust immediately cleared, revealing a new Dinosaur. It was shaped like Terry, and was the same height as him, but had a yellow scale color and a red design. It roared loudly as it faced off against the two titans.

"Woah! That's what I call an entrance!" Rainbow said in amazement.

"Is that a Tyrannosaurus?" Pinkie asked.

"No, That's a Tarbosaurus!" Sunset said.

"There must've been a second capsule here if a dino like that showed up." Zander said.

"Whatever it came from, we need to catch it for Dr. Z!" Ursula ordered. "Terry, take care of the little midget!"

Terry changed targets and charged at Tarbosaurus. The Tarbosaurus quickly moved out of the way, and bashed the Carcharodontosaurus. In then leaped over to the rubble pile and stood guard. It then looked back at Sunset.

"It… it wants to help." She said.

Being distracted, the Charchar loaded up another fire ball attack and fired.

"Look out!" The group shouted as it came to Sunsets direction. The Tarbosaurus saw it coming and quickly moved, surrounding Sunset with his body and taking the hit to protect her. As the smoke cleared, the Tarbosaurus was glowing red, and seemed alright.

"It just used Elemental Power!" Rex called in surprise.

"How did he know the move?!" Zander asked.

"Who cares!? Terry, get that Dinosaur!" Ursula shouted. Terry charged in at the Charchar as it bashed it away, giving him time to face the Tarbo.

"We gotta keep terry away from the wall and help Sunset!" Rainbow said.

"Way ahead of you. Max, get Chomp in there and see if you can dig Zoey and Fluttershy out of the Rubble! Rex, you get ace out there with Scales, Iry and Razor and keep Terry and Charcharadontosaurus off us!" Sunset said.

"Roger!" they all called, moving with the plan. Rex and Max called their cards. "DINO-SLASH!"

"Go, Triceratops!"

"Go, Carnotaurus!" They called and swiped their cards, summoning Ace and Chomp, roaring in their arrival.

"Ready!?" Sonata asked.

"Ready!" AJ and Rarity responded and grabbed their dinosaur Cards. They spun their Shot and pointed them upwards. They loaded their cards in the devices.

"Energize!" They said spinning the discs. Sonata and Rarity were surrounded by swirling water, while AJ had earth and dust swirling around her. "Unleash the power!" The shot their cards out and summoned their dinosaurs, each of them roaring, as they stood by Ace's side.

"Okay Chomp, get in there!" Max said as Chomp climbed up and knocked some rocks aside before thrusting his horns into the rubble. Inside, this caused some of the rocks to tumble onto the two, as they screamed.

"Max, be careful!" Rex shouted.

"Stop, Chomp!" Max said as Chomp halted.

"Okay, so maybe that was a bad idea.." Sunset said.

"You think?!" Rainbow, Fluttershy and Zoe said.

"Max, don't let Chomp move ah muscle. He pulls himself out, the rocks will crush them!" Aj said as he nodded.

"Zoe, Fluttershy, are you girls alright down there!?" Rex asked through his Holder.

"We're ok. Just a startle is all." Zoe said through the holder.

"Think you girls can find your way to Chomps horns?" He asked them.

"We'll try, but keep those guys off our backs." Zoe said.

"Can do." He responded. The group turned back to the Alpha gang and the green scaled predator. Their dinosaurs stood ready for battle, and to protect Chomp.

"Great, now we have five dinosaurs to deal with." Ursula said.

"Oh, I can't take much more of this!" Zander snapped.

"But look at them. Neither of them are charging in." Ed noticed.

"Maybe they don't have an interest in fighting right now?" Zander asked.

"Then what's the story with the Triceratops over there?" Ed asked.

"Maybe he was bad and he's taking a...time out?" Zander guessed.

The Carcharodontosaurus charged in and bashed Terry, making him slide to the group. The five bashed their heads against his back, pushing Terry away from Chomp. The predator charged up another fireball attack.

"They're getting too close!" Max said.

"Quick Razor, Earth Barrier!" AJ called, activating his move card.

Razor glowed purple and roared, while the Charchar fired his attack. Just in time, Razor created a wall of Earth and blocked the attack.

"Nice block!" Rainbow cheered.

"Ace, get in there!" Rex called. Ace jumped over the wall and bashed the Charchar, making it tumble, but recover to bash its head against Ace, as they push each other back.

"Now, enough of this child's play! Neck Crusher!" Ursula said as Terry flashed and lifted Charchar by the neck and tossed him in the air. With a mighty tail slap, he shot him in the neck, sending the predator to Chomp.

"Scales, stop it!" Rarity called. The saltasaurus quickly blocked The Charchar with his scaly body.

"Grrr! Terry, get in there!" Ursula snapped. Terry roared and charged in again.

Carcharodontosaurus lifted its head for one more shot.

"Cyclone!" Rex said as Ace charged up in the wind. He roared as wing burst around him and charged in. The charchar fired his attack. Ace made the first hit, as the fireball made contact, knocking Terry to the ground, away from the villains. Out of energy, he changed back into a card and flowed away with the wind.

"The card's flying away!" Ed shouted.

"Let's go! Hop to it!" Ursula shouted as they bounced away to catch Terry's card.

"Aw yeah! That's how we do it!" Rainbow cheered.

Charchara got up and roared, ready to fight again.

"Oh come on! We just worked together, cut us some slack!" Sunset said.

"I don't think Fang is interested in teamwork, guys." Pinkie said.

"Fang?!" Everyone said.

"Sure, cause he's got those big jaws." Pinkie chirped.

"Well, I guess we know who's gonna take care of him." Rainbow sweatdropped.

"Well, might as well name mine." Sunset said. "Hey, how about Blaze?"

The Tarbosaurus liked the name and growled lightly in response.

"Incoming!" Rainbow yelled as Fang charged in and bashed heads with Ace again.

"Blaze, it's up to you! Help Ace out!" Sunset said.

Blaze nodded and went in the fight, slapping fang away.

"Okay Ace, let's finish this! Cyclone!" Rex said activating the move one more time.

Blaze then had an idea. He blasted flames into the whirlwind Ace created and made the flames spin around. Ace was now in a Fire Tornado.

"Whoa, how'd he do that?!" Rainbow asked.

"Dunno, but I know what I gotta do. Ace, go and hit Fangs mouth!" Rex called.

Ace charged in with his fusion move and bashed Fang in the mouth. The carnivore whimpered, feeling major pain, as he fell to the ground and turned back into a card, with the move card along with it.

"Yeah!" Rainbow said.

Back at the backyard…

"Fang and His fire cannon card, and Blaze with Elemental power and even Crimson Flame. We totally hit the jackpot with this mission." Max said in excitement.

Rex nodded in agreement. "Since Blaze likes Sunset, I think it's best he goes with her." Rex suggested, giving Blaze and his cards to Sunset.

"Then there's Fang. He is a good fighter, but a loose cannon. You think Pinkie can get him to work with us?" Zoe asked.

"I know how to make him smile!" Pinkie chirped as she used her blaster and summoned Fang in his small form. "Hi, I'm Pinkie Pie! You like parties!?"

Fang was startled by this sudden question right up in his face and instinctively, he bit Pinkie's head, but due to her puffy thick hair, it absorbed most of the force, and it didn't hurt her. Instead, it tickled her.

"That tickles!" Pinkie giggled.

"Yup, he'll be fine with her." Rainbow said.

"How? All Fang is doing is biting her?" Rex questioned.

"Basically, Pinkie has a pet Alligator." Rarity answered.

"I'm not even gonna begin to go into what is wrong with that." Max said.

"Don't worry! Gummy doesn't have teeth! See!?" Pinkie pulled gummy out of nowhere and showed the three, who had his mouth open.

"Uh…" they said.

"This is really awkward." Rainbow said.

"Lets just call it a day." Sunset said as they laughed and were happy they had new partners

Fluttershy: Um, I was wondering what dinosaur I could get?

Rex: I'm not entirely sure, since we've met dangerous ones. You need a kind and maternal one.

Rainbow: I'm not sure that describes Zoe right now.

Zoe: While Aki's away, I need everyone to make this house spotless!

Rex: You think?

Sunset: I think we may have a chance to get fluttershy her card, a Maiasaura has taken a home in the Swiss Alps.

Rainbow: It won't be easy. You know how they are when there's an egg near them.
