Chapter 14: Volcanic Panic!

At the Hot Springs of Devon Island, a man was broiling some clams.

"Ah, the hot Springs. Nature's own Crock-Pot. These ought to be cooked by now."

The man lifted the basket filled with piping hot boiled claims out of the spring and spied some sort of large round object, mistaking it for an ostrich egg.

"Hey! How did this ostrich egg get mixed up with my clams? I can't sell that. Might as well throw it back in the water." he grabbed it, but forgot that the springs have high temperatures, and the egg was tossed in the air and behind him. It clanged against the rocks before it went into an open fire.

It was then discovered, it was one of the dinosaur eggs. The card reacted to the flames and bursted in red light, forming into a large orange like predator, known as Acrocanthosaurus. After Roaring to signal its awakening for so long, it stomped off into the trees, the man mistaking the steps for another earthquake.

(The music starts up and one by one, seven colored stones, one red, blue, green, yellow, purple, and cyan glow brightly. They fire a beam of energy in the center and the screen goes white.)

(The light fades and shows a Tyrannosaurus. It roars while fire explodes around it. It faces the screen and fires a fire blast, making the screen go white once again, before the opening was shown with the stones around the title.)

The battlefield is bright

(Sunset catches Blazes card in her hands and looks at the camera with Blaze next to her full sized as Pinkie jumped up as Fang appeared in flames.)

The sun, it shines today

(Rainbow twirling her card before blasting it, wind blasting as Whirlwind appeared with Rainbow on his back. Rex is also there, with Ace appearing in a flash of wind.)

Our emotions and shadows are cast away

(Applejack pulling out her card and the earth crumbling as Razor rose up from the crumbling earth.)

But everyone's aware that soon enough it's about to go down...

(Sonata had water swirling around her with Rarity next to her as Iry and Scales burst from the water.)

The light will fade out!

(Lighting struck Max's card as Chomp appeared in the storm of electricity, full sized.)

Even dreams we have that came out of our lowest times

(Fluttershy and Zoe are surrounded by Leaves as Paris and Maya rose up with green aura surrounding them.)

will be forgiven by the world by you and I

(Dr. Z lashes his arms out as Terry, Tank and the Alpha Dino Clones appeared.)

Now close your eyes and reach and let me guide you

(The stones assembled into one big tablet as they all glowed.)

If not, alone, how will you go with me?

(Everyone raises their cards on both sides and readies to swipe or fire them.)

We'll fly high!

(they slashed and fired.)

Ringing out to break apart, and like a spear you pierced my heart

(Ace strikes with Ninja Attack, followed with Chomp with Electric Charge.)

I'm screaming out to you, you're my star, will you shine forever?

(Iry uses Water whip with Blaze with Elemental power.)

Live on and guide this madness.

(Fang uses Fire Cannon, Whirlwind with Atomic Bomb.)

All of the things that we need are right in front of us

(Maya jumps and uses Diving Press, and Paris uses Nature's Blessing.)

Love will guide you, and pick you right up off the ground

(Scales uses Water Whip as well, but with two on his tail.)

We have a purpose, we'd rather die before we back down

(The D-Team and the Main six face off against the Alpha Gang and their Dinosaurs.)

Stop screaming out louder than before

(The D-Team use their move cards as Chomp, Ace and Paris Charge.)

Maybe someday you'll get, this is the Asterisk War!

(The Main six and Sonata glowed in their pony and Sieren forms with their dinosaurs glowing in their power, before they all roar and blast their attacks.)

(The group was in front with the dinosaurs in the back, they all cheered as the dinosaurs roared with the opening below them.)

"Wow, Look a this View!" Zoe marveled, as the D-Team and CHS six plus Sonata looked from the Hotel Room.

"Yeah. And that's Devon Island right over there, girls." Rex said.

"Devon Island? Isn't that supposed to harbor a Volcano?" Rainbow asked in question.

"Yeah, it is." Rex said.

"Then why is there smoke coming out of it?" Rainbow continued her question.

"Mount Devon is an Active Volcano, Rainbow." Spike said. "Who knows, we may see and Eruption today. There has been a lot of Seismic activity."

"Oh dear, an eruption? Then isn't being here dangerous?" Rarity asked in worry.

"Maybe not, it may occur in a few more years." Spike assured.

"Why do you have to scare us like that?" Max groaned.

"I could look it up. I can calculate the numbers of the last and possibly next eruption…." Spike said pressing buttons on his phone.

"Doctor, I thought you said no research during this vacation." Reese mentioned about his rule.

"If this was a vacation for you five, why did we get stringed along?" Rainbow asked.

"You all have been working hard for helping us, so we decided you girls deserve a break as well. And don't worry, I gave your principal a call about your absences, and she knows about our mission. She'll keep this a secret." Spike explained.

"We can trust Principal Celestia and Vice-Principal Luna to keep our new double lives as heroes in check, right?" Rainbow asked.

"Well, we have been through two instances of magical genocide on separate occasions by a demoness and three sirens…" Pinkie said, before noticing what she mentioned. "Whoops, no offense to you two."

"None taken." Sunset and Sonata replied.

"The point Pinkies tryin ta make is, were familiar with world savin events enough to have our backs covered on this. Ah think we can stick around the D-Team and keep on this whole shindig." AJ explained.

"Good to hear that. Now, we will be doing nothing but fun during our stay here, for all of our hard work, and that includes no research and studying while we're here." Spike mentioned.

"Oh?" the D-Team asked.

"And to make sure of that, i'm laying down the law that we are not to mention anything about what we're working on." Spike continued.

"Wonderful idea." Reese smiled at his rule.

"And the rule is, we cannot make any mention of anything to do with dinosaurs while we're here." Spike explained further.

"Hold on, does that mean we're not even allowed to say the word 'dinosaur'?" Max asked.

"Our first violation! Pinkie, marker please." Spike smirked.

"Got it right here, Mr. Taylor!" Pinkie chirped.

A second later, Spike drew a black circle around Max's right eye, much to his embarrassment.

"Uuur, no fair!" Max stated in embarrassment.

"Good thing i didn't say it, huh Ace?" Rex snickered a bit.

"Hah! You said his name! Gimme that marker, Spike!" Rainbow said.

"Lay it on him, Rainbow." Spike encouraged, as the rainbow haired girl drew an 'X' on his right cheek.

"We can't even say their names? Why not? that isn't anything dinosaur related…" Zoe started.

"Violation! Gimme that!" Spike grabbed the marker, before drawing around Zoe's lips, as she flushed.

"Hah! That's what you get for saying the word dinosaur!" Max said.

"You're in for it now, Max. C'mere you!" Sunset smirked grabbing him.

"Gah! No, i didn't mean to!" Max pleaded, but fell deaf ears as she drew whiskers on his right cheek.

"Heh heh, okay this is kinda fun." Sunset giggled as Chomp barked a bit.

"Oooh, oooh, my turn! Chomp spoke outta line!" Pinkie chirped, grabbing the marker and drawing on his face as well.

"Oh come on, Chomp too?" Rex asked.

"Another Violation!" Spike snickered, grabbing the marker next and drawing a mustache on his lips. He then proceeded to mark Max and Zoe too, including Ace and Paris, with some additional markings for Chomp.

"Doctor, honestly…" Reese said before she got marked with a dog face print. "You've made your point." she said bluntly.

"Hahahahah! Oh, that was so fun! You should see yourselves!" Rainbow laughed.

"Can we start having fun now?" Reese asked bluntly again.

"Alright, I guess we went a little too far." Spike chuckled. "You should wash that off your faces, and then we can hit the hot springs!"

"YAY!" the D-Team cheered.

"The Hot Springs? Uh… I'll pass." Rainbow said.

"Why? Oooooooh…." Pinkie said.

"That's the problem! I always see shows where guys get the idea to peep on girls! Hot springs aren't exactly my thing in that case…" Rainbow said.

"Hey wait a second, are you implying to me, Dad and Rex are peepers?" Max questioned, feeling a bit insulted by what Rainbow said.

"Whoa, no nononononono, i was saying guys from anime like Jiraiya!" Rainbow quickly corrected her mistake to what she said.

"Oh, THAT kind of peepers." Rex replied, knowing what she meant.

"Well, we don't have to technically be at the hot springs, there's other things to do, such as walking on the beach, fine dining, local attractions, and the sand baths." Spike mentioned about what else there is to do.

"Im cool with that." Rainbow said.

"In that case, let's put our belongings in this safe for safe keeping." Spike motioned the safe that was in the room.

"Good idea!" Max, Rex and Zoe said putting their dino holders in the safe.

"I dont think theres enough room in there for the girls Dino-Shots, Doctor." Reese informed.

"It's cool, we can carry them with us. Been pretty attached to mine since we got them." Rainbow explained, placing her shot against her hip.

"I'll allow it." Spike isad.

"Alright then, let's hit the springs!" Max said as they ran off to do their own thing.

"Erm, what do we do about mr sleepy head over there?" Rarity asked, seeing Drill was still fast asleep on the couch, a sleeping bubble inflating and deflating with his breathing.

"Oh, Drill? He'll just slow us down, he can stay here in the room." Pinkie said.

"Besides, all he does is sleep all day, so we don't have to worry about him." Rex shrugged.

"I can't imagine to how one dinosaur can sleeps so much." Max mentioned.

"As opposed to you and Chomp?" Rainbow said. "BOOM!"

"Huh? What does that mean?" Max asked.

"She does make a point, Max. You even slept through that noisy construction those nights when we had to find Drill.' Rex explained, remembering the horrid events about the lack of sleep he got from those nights.

"Oh for… can we just go?" Max asked as they went out the door. But inside the Safe, the Dino Holders were beeping, as already outside, Acrocanthosaurus was stirring and stomping around.

In the hot springs, the D-Team was enjoying themselves, but little did they know, the Alpha Gang was there too. Not after Acrocanthosaurus, but in the hot springs as well, neither of them even realizing it.

"Coming here was one of my better ideas." Zander said as he and Ed were relaxing in the mens side of the springs.

"Yeah, I just hope Dr. Z doesn't find out were just sitting around doing nothing." Ed replied.

"I wouldn't exactly call this doing nothing, relaxing is hard work. Besides, he did give us time off because he wanted us out of the way while he was working on something." Zander implied.

"Yeah, you're right. Thankfully all he has to do is look at us and we get a vacation." Ed informed.

"That's true, it's nice to feel appreciative." Zander said stretching backwards, but then Noticed Chomp Swimming by. He grew startled and looked forward, but he was gone.

"Huh, that's strange. I guess all this heat is making me see things…" Zander muttered, before relaxing against the warm rocks.

On the women's side, Ursula was living it up.

"Ahhh, this water is heavenly. And from what I heard how these hot springs are for the skin, I can just imagine to how more beautiful I'll be." Ursula sighed happily.

Outside from the hot spring barricade, Aj was stretching as she heard the muttering.

"Did ah just hear someone say the Spring water was heavenly? I dunno about that, but that sound something an old lady would say." AJ said.

As if her hearing was very acute, Ursula groaned and dipped her head in the water before emerging.

"Who's an old lady?" She spoke in a mid loud voice, before she sighed and relaxed again. "Huh, I guess I must be hearing things…"

At another part of the beach, Spike was getting a sand bath, while the girls relaxed in shades, sipping drinks as rainbow was running with Whirlwind.

"Good thing i didn't pack any swim gear. I didn't want to look ridiculous." Rainbow said. "Okay, just a few miles to go…" Her timing in her position was a bad one, as an earthquake was rumbling bad.

Cracks formed in the Sand up ahead as the Acrocanthosaurus burst up out of the hard layers and roared.

"Gah! Where'd you come from?!" Rainbow gasped in shock. The acro paid no attention to her as he passed through the beach and passed the girls and Spike, who managed to slip away from his stomping foot in time.

"Whats an Acrocanthosaurus doing here?!" Rainbow asked in question when she met up with her friends.

"Of all the times for it to come too! Why didn't any of you get the signal?" Rarity asked.

"Well, we did agree to put the shots on vibrate…" Sunset replied, clicking her shot in volume again as it buzzed and vibrated stronger.

"Well, i'd say we're in total advantage right now. We can get that dino bagged before the Alpha Gang even knows it's here!" Rainbow said.

The acro continued to rampage, heading to the Springs as Max and Rex felt the rumbling. Chomp and Ace got out as the boys followed them, but Zander and Ed were the last to notice, surprised at the Acro headed their way.

"Gaaah! Ursula, are you seeing this?!" Ed said as he and Zander tried to warn ursula by climbing to warn her over the barricade.

"Take a look!" Zander shouted in panic.

"THIS IS THE WOMEN'S SIDE!" Ursula shrieked, slamming them with dozens of buckets as they splashed back into the water. AJ leaped up onto the barricade, balancing between both sides as she took notice of Zander and Ed.

"Aw, not you two varmints again! Ah knew it was bad ta think you weren't here already!" AJ said.

"The cowgirl!" Ed shouted.

"That means the brats must be here as well!" Zander added.

"Aw man, the Alpha gang's here!" Max spoke up, noticing them.

"And that's bad!" Rex added.

"Boys, git dressed and git to the hotel now! You need yer dino holders! The girls and ah will do what we can to slow that dino down!" AJ instructed.

"Right! Cmon, Max!" Rex ran for the changing room.

"Ok!" Max followed him, along with Chomp and Ace.

"Ah dunno if Razor can hold that critter off, but it's worth a try anyway." AJ said.

"Why don't you watch where you're footing is first?" Zander said tripping up applejack with his arm.

"Whoa!" AJ said.

"Hah, got you! Now fall into the Hot Springs!" Zander pulled her as she was slipping and fell, but was able to grab the ledge in time.

"Stop wasting time with the western brat, you two. There's a Dinosaur here, and I intent to catch it!" ursula ordered, speaking from a ripped hole.

"Right, ok." The boys replied and started climbing out, as Aj got her balance back on the beam.

"Sorry varmints, but the girls are at the beach, and we intent to git that dino before you three. Later!" She jumped down and ran after the Acro.

"The Cowgirl's got a head start on us!" Ed said.

"Not for long, hurry!" Ursula said as they got out.

All teams now converged on the waiting room as Max and Rex were the first ones in.

"We gotta get to our Dino Holders!" Max said as they ran to the room.

With the Alpha Gang, they didn't pack their clothings when they came down, only side stepping with towels around them.

"D'you think there's enough time to go back to the room and get our clothes?" Ed asked.

"Absolutely not. The brats are already ahead of us to getting the dinosaur." Ursula mentioned.

"Maybe there's something we could wear for now in that locker room." Ed said as they went inside to see Dancer outfits.

With Max and Rex, they made it back to the room as Rex tried to open the safe, but was locked in tight. He didn't even know the lock combination.

"We're gonna need Dad's key to get this open." Max said as Spike arrived.

"Boys, there's a dinosaur! An Acrocanthosaurus just showed up!" He spoke in excitement.

"We know. We need our dino holders. You still have the key to open the safe?" Rex asked.

"Yes, I got it right here…." Spike dug into his sleeves to retrieve the key, but it wasn't there. He checked his other pockets, but nothing. "Where is it? Aw man, I think I must have dropped it in the sand…"

"We'll have to get a new one, the girls are trying to hold it back…" Max said before seeing Drill still fast asleep even through the chaos. "And what are you still doing napping?! You gotta go help them!"

Drill merely opened one eye, before he yawned and stretched.

"Finally, glad you're putting your weight in the -" He was cut off when Drill plopped down on the sofa and fell asleep again, snoozing away Z's as Zoe and Reese arrived, Zoe a bit upset Drill wasn't into helping more than sleeping.

"Argh! You know he can be a real pain sometimes! All he does is sleep all day!" She snapped angrily.

"Dont worry, I don't think we'll need Drills muscle for this. The girls have to have that Acrocanthosaurus on the ropes by now." Rex said.

Meanwhile..

"This is SO not the idea fighting conditions!" Rainbow said as they ran to catch the Acro through the hotel. Due to the space, the only one they could call out was Razor, Sunset theorizing that calling out the other Carnivores would cause more panic.

"Look! He's leaving the hotel!" Pinkie called out as it bashed through the wall, facing firefighters with hoses.

"Can't let those firefighters get hurt none! Keep it off em, Razor!" AJ called.

Razor roared and charged forward, as the Acro pushed through the fire hoses strength. Before it could bash the trucks out, Razor swung its razor tail into the dinos flank, dealing damage as it roared in pain.

"Whoa, watch the trucks, watch the trucks…!" Rainbow said as Razor tied to divert the Acro into the beach between the fire trucks, driving him onto the sand.

"Hahahaha! Good job getting the dinosaur to us, dear Gastonia!" Ursula laughed, while she, Ed and Zander were wearing the clothing from the back room.

"Great! Just what we needed right now!" Rainbow growled.

"You won't be getting this dinosaur from us, Alpha Gang!" Sonata shouted.

"You're the ones who led the gastonia and Acrocanthosaurus right to us, so you're the ones to blame." Zander said with Holder in hand and Terrys card at the ready. "Now then, time to unleash Terry on-!"

"Don't worry! We'll save you!" A hose rope shot out of the bloom and tied the Alpha gang down as the fire fighters started dragging them out of the dinosaurs range.

"Whoo, saved by the firemen." Sunset sighed.

"You girls stay back too! Those dinos are going at it hard!" one of the firemen said suspecting the Acro and Razors battle to be dangerous.

"Geez talk about a double-edged sword, but at least the Alpha Chumps were set back too." Rainbow said as the girls and Alpha gang were both pulled back by the fire men.

"Cmon, men! Get them to safety!" another said as they pulled both teams from the battle.

Acro kept chomping at the bit to Razor as the sun set, taking his chance to tackle him into the ocean as that's where he was gonna go. Nevertheless, he and razor still struggled to gain advantage over one another as they struggled and swam all the way to the island.

Back in the Room…

"Wow, Razor's really pulling a lot. I never seen him fight like this." Rex mentioned in amazement as they saw them battle in the water and swim to the island.

"On a side note, it's good to have these back." Max said getting his holder out.

"It's just too bad we didn't have them sooner, if you know what i mean." Rex said, looking to Spike.

"Yeah, too bad… and an extra 50 for the new key at checkout…' Spike sighed.

"According to this, Razor's fighting the Acrocanthosaurus and it's taking them all the way to Devon island." Rex said.

"Then what are we waiting for?" Max spoke up. "We can't just leave Razor out there fighting it."

"Hold it. The ferry shuts down when there's seismic activity." Reese mentioned. "Even if we did go, it would be too dangerous."

"But we have to go." Max said.

"We can't just leave Razor to fight that dinosaur all on his own. He's tough, sure, but he can't keep it busy forever." Rex said.

"Not only that, if Razor is defeated, The Alpha Gang might grab him, and they'll gain an advantage to getting the Acro when it's nearly worn out!" Rainbow added.

"Reese is right, it's too dangerous even if we could get there. We'll have to depend on Razor and his strength and defense." Spike butted in.

"Ah just hope he can hold out long enough for us to git over there somehow…" Aj muttered, looking at the volcano island across the sea.

At night, while they were sleeping, Ace and Chomp, along with the others, took notice to the Seismic activity and got up, stirring max and Rex.

"What's wrong chomp?" Max asked in a tired voice.

"Another earthquake?" Rex asked, before it stopped.

"Don't worry, guys. See? It just stopped." Max said.

"You know they say animals can usually predict natural disasters." rex explained. "What if they're thinking they know something we don't?"

"You're right, what if that Volcano really is going to erupt?" Max said before realizing. "Rex, if that Volcano will really erupt, it'll not only hurt that Acrocanthosaurus, but also Razor!"

"We have to go." Rex said.

"Yeah." Max said as the other dinos were gathered up before max noticed drill still snoozing away.

"You're coming too, lazy bum." Max grabbed the Ankylosaurus in his arms. They then snuck out the door.

"Just where do you think you're going?" Zoe asked as the girls were right behind them. "You weren't planning to leave without us, were you?"

"Nope. I don't think we would all want to leave Razor behind anyway." Max smiled with a fist.

"Then let's get going. We have a dino rescue mission to accomplish."Rainbow smirked, pounding her fist.

Morning came, as Spike and Reese realized they were headed there. They had to take two Rowboats to even get to the island, but they made it there.

"Razor! Are you in there?!" Rex asked.

"Say something, Razor!" rainbow called on the island.

They heard him and Acro roaring as some crashing was occurring.

"Sweet mercy alive, they're still going!" Rarity gawked.

"He really pulled through…" Aj muttered.

"Now that's one of the toughest earth dinosaurs I ever know!" Max smiled, amazed by Razors will and strength to keep fighting for such hours.

"Let's go help him!" Rainbow said as they ran for the jungle before familiar laughing caught them off guard as they saw the Alpha Gang.

"So, you finally made it to come help your Gastonia. Too bad you took the slow boat." Ursula said.

"Old lady…" Zoe said.

"How many times have i told you not to call me that?! Wait, was it you i heard in the hot springs?" Ursula asked, rage left a little.

They didnt have time to answer as a plane drone flew over head.

"Huh? What's that?" Rex asked, before it opened and dropped pods.

"Run!" Sunset yelled as they avoided the pods, and they morphed into the alpha drones.

"Oh great, these tin cans again." Rainbow grunted, bracing for another battle.

"Hahaha! Talk about perfect timing with the drones!" Ursula laughed.

"Sorry we can't stay, but we have two dinosaurs to catch!" Zander laughed.

"Razor and the Acro are not yours!" Max snapped, before the group was being grabbed by the drones.

"Pull em along with you! Dont let too many grab ya!" Aj said as they did so scaling the volcano. As they went further and further up, both teams saw the Battlefield warping into view.

"We must be getting close to Razor and Acrocanthosaurus now, were almost phasing into the Battlefield!" Rex said. They made to the top of a cliff, before they saw flames and embers blowing and blasting with earth crumbling, seeing the two, Razor and the Acro duking it out, both sides not giving an inch in their advantages in the fight.

"Its another Time Paradox Field!" Sunset said.

"Look! There's that Gastonia and Acrocanthosaurus! Are they still fighting?!" Zander asked in shock.

"Mother of mercy, what is that Gastonia running on, nitrous oxide?" Ed asked in shock as well.

"Who cares! If we catch the two, they'll be the perfect weapons for Dr. Z!" Ursula stated firmly.

"Not if we can help it!" Rainbow said. "Max, it's Chomp time!"

"Right!" He called Chomps card into his hand. "DINO SLASH! Go, Triceratops, ROAR!" Slashing the card, Chomp emerged from lightning energy and roared in arrival.

(Cue-Super Street Fighter IV - Oceania, Volcanic Rim)

"Get in there, Chomp! Light that Acro up!" Rainbow said.

"You heard her, Chomp! Go help Razor out!" Max called, as Chomp hurled into battle.

Before the Acro could land another deadly blow, Chomp stepped up and bashed the fire predator away, letting Razor finally relax for the moment.

"You are one tough cookie, Razor! Can you still go on?" AJ asked.

Razor felt like he could continue, but needed a bit of a boost before doing so.

"Oh, you want to get some Energy back? I can help with that." Zoe smiled, before calling forth Paris in full form. "Natures Blessing!" Swiping her partners special card, Paris released energy as Razor finally regained his lost energy, and roared loudly.

"Alright! Git in there, partner!" AJ cheered, as Razor and Chomp double teamed the fire predator, while he tried to viciously fight back.

"Man, he's giving no quarter." Rainbow said.

"He must be protecting something." Rex theorized.

"But what?" Pinkie asked.

"Not sure." he replied as they continued to watch the fight. As they did, Terry came charging in at full size out of nowhere and with his addes speed collided into all of the dinos and caused a huge pileup.

"Whoa! Terry outta nowhere, Terry outta nowhere!" Rainbow shouted in panic.

"You didn't really think we were going to let you take that dinosaur, did you?" Zander asked.

"Nice initiative, Terry! Now, keep attacking them. All of them!" Ursula called.

Terry roared and charge at the three dinosaurs that made their recovery. He aimed at the Acrocanthosaurus first trying to bite him down. Razor however, took this as the advantage and slammed his razor blade tail into his flank, making him roar in pain, and Chomp pushing him back with force, making him slide.

"On second thought, i don't think that was a good idea…" Ursula said.

"Next time, think before you act. But let's give terry some back up for now." Zander said as Ed held a bunch of cards with one hand as his other was carrying the drum as he tossed them onto the volcanic soil.

"Alpha Clones! Come forth!" Ed said drumming as the Alpha-Dinos glowed in dark colors and roared in their arrival.

"Oh come on!" Rainbow shouted in irritation.

"I'll take care of this. Unleash the Power!" Rarity said blasting her Dino Shot. "Unleash your Hurricane, Saltosaurus!" Scales exploded in water, merging to full size as he roared in arrival. He made sure the clones weren't in the way as his size worked to his advantage.

"Size won't make a difference! Alpha Clones, show that long neck lizard your might!" Ursula called.

Roaring to her command, the clones charged in, the Alpha T-Rex lifting Scales from below his belly, throwing him into the Alpha Saichania, before it roared and swung its tail, bashing his side, as he flew in the air like a baseball. The Alpha Spinosaurus bashed its tail into his belly, slamming the long necked herbivore into the ground.

"Scales is losing!" Pinkie said in panic.

"Argh, if only Drill would get his butt in gear and help!" Max scowled, looking at the sleeping ankylo, who was snoozing through the fight.

"I suppose we have no choice but to cut his nap short." Rarity said. "Fluttershy Dear, call him to the field."

"Um...ok." Unsure, but had no choice, she called Drills card, and loaded it into the shot and fired. "Unleash the power! Let the Earth tremble below, Ankylosaurus!" Drill appeared from the earth rubble, but was still asleep.

"Hey! This is a battle, not a sleeping contest!" Ursula snapped.

"This will give him a jump start!" Zander said directing the Alpha Spino to smash into Drill hard, making him tumble over and into a rock.

"Drill! Oh my goodness, are you okay?" Fluttershy asked as drill got himself up right and shook his head to ward off the stunners. He then focused his attention on the clones, Acro and terry.

"Finally! If anything gets drill into a fight, it's disturbing his nap!" Rainbow cheered.

Rainbows theory proved correct, as Drill roared angrily for his blissful sleep disturbed by the Alpha gang for the last time. Drill charged forward, targeting the first opponent that disturbed his nap. With a bellow, he swung his body and bashed his thick boned club directly in the center of the Alpha spino's head. They heard a small crack as the spino roared in pain and crashed to the ground, returning to its card form.

"Whoa! He can be really cranky in the morning." Ed said.

"If this is how he fights if someone wakes him up, i'd hate to catch him on a good day." Zander said.

"That cranky dinosaur! Alpha T-Rex, make a lesson on that Ankylosaurus!" Ursula ordered.

The clone rushed in and grabbed Drill by the neck, ready to throw him in the air and strike from the underbelly. However, drill was not one to give into defeat. A roar escaped his throat, glowing purple, before his move card activated at will, plowing deep underground with the Alpha Rex. They emerged a second later, Drill bashing his club on the dinos stomach, as it fell to the ground and verted to its card.

Terry wanted to end this now. He roared, as he activated his move card, Volcano Burst. Red aura waved around him and blasted fire at the fire predator. Acro roared in agony.

Razor drained a lot of his energy from his fight, until it finally gave in and fell, glowing and verting to his card.

"You did good buddy." AJ said grabbing his card.

Acro was down in his card too, but Terry wasn't finished yet. It's only over when the King Says it's over. Another howling roar escapes his throat, deeper red aura blasting around him, before his body was engulfed in flames. He burst forward with new speed and newfound strength. He bit down on Chomp, until the Triceratops body exploded in flames, making Chomp squeal in pain, before he verted to his card.

"Holy crap!" Rainbow gawked in shock.

"What was that?!" Zoe asked.

"I-I don't think those three have any idea!" Sonata said in shock as well.

Terry was far from done. His new move activated once more, his body in flames, hurling at Drill, grabbing him by the neck and he exploded in flames. He threw him to the ground, bashing his foot against his belly as fire explosions blasted around him. Drill couldn't handle the sheer strength and was defeated, verting to his card.

"Uh… what just happened?" Rainbow asked. "Did you three see that?" she asked the Alpha Gang.

"We saw it...but we couldn't believe it." Ed gawked at Terry's newfound strength.

"Ah! Here's the name of the new move he has. Flames of Victory! It says any contact or strike from terry will occur in a deadly fire explosion, says it can be fatal to the opponent." Zander explained terry's new move card.

"All hail the king…" Rainbow gawked.

"Wait, the card!" Rex said seeing the Acrocanthosaurus card lying there.

"Get it...whoa!" Ursula shouted, before backing up from a heated geizer.

"Now's my chance-Woah!" Max tried his attempt to get the card, but was stopped by a geyser near him. Spike then Ran up with Reese.

"Cmon boys, lets go!" Spike said.

"Why?" Rainbow asked.

"We need to get off this island right now! There's a chance the volcano may erupt!" Spike said.

"But the card!" Max said.

"We got ours back, that's more than enough. There'll be other chances." Rex said as they retreated but max looked back at the Alpha Gang.

"We'll get that card back from you someday…" Max said as he retreated.

Ursula picked up the Acrocanthosaurus card as Terry walked back to them, still full-sized.

"Oh terry, you should've told us you had a secret move card packing inside you." Ursula laughed, hugging his snout.

"Dr. Z is gonna be really surprised when he finds out." Ed said.

"We probably should tell him. He may be too busy with the invention to notice the new move." Zander added. The geysers around them spouted up more. Taking this moment, terry picked them up and placed them on his back as they retreated back to base.

Meanwhile on the Boats…

"WHAT?! We were worried for nothing?" Rainbow asked the boatman, who was unknown to them, the Egg Cooker that started this whole mess.

"That's right. Old mount Devon hasn't erupted for hundreds of years, and hasn't been ever." He explained with a laugh.

"You'd think that it would with all the smoke. I guess we were worried because of the Earthquakes and the Time Distorted Battlefield." Sunset said.

"We missed out on trying to fight for the card, but we'll get it back." Rex said.

"Yeah, thats for certain." Max said.

Back at Zeta Point...

"Terry learned Flames of Victory? Splendid! What a perfect advancement in his growth, i'm so proud of him." Dr. Z laughed, petting terry as he was rewarded with a large juicy steak.

"We also have brought back this, doctor." Ursula smiled, showing him the Acro card.

"Excellent, you did as i requested! Now this card will be a crucial piece in my latest project." Dr Z said.

"But you haven't told us what it is." Zander spoke up.

"In time, I will, but until then, i have a few more things to work on to make sure my newest invention is up and fully running. Once the process is truly complete, this machine will make our dinosaur army the strongest beast in all of the world, and my Dinosaur kingdom will be complete! Hahahaha! HAHAHAHAHAHAAAAA!" Z laughed as he held the Acro card up, shining off the edge a bit.

Dr Z: At last! I have Perfected my Super Alpha Controller! With it, I have upgraded the Acrocanthosaurus to a new level of power!

Ursula: What do we do with it?

Dr Z: You use it to get back the other cards the brats stole from us. Including Spiny, so i can use the original Apha Controller to get him back to our side!

Zander: I can understand that. The island hasn't been the same without him lately…

Dr. Z: I agree. I miss his bite on my beard everyday he is gone… so go out there and get Spiny and the cards back!

Ed: Sure thing! This dinosaur seems pretty powerful… what could go wrong?
