Chapter 15: All Fired up!

"This is not a primetime show folks! This is reality Television we got right here. We are flying high above a dinosaur battle! That's right! Dinosaurs! And the city is being engulfed in flames!" A news reporter spoke as a fierce battle against a newly colored Acrocanthosaurus was fighting against Chomp. "We'll give you the latest news and as much as we can."

Paris then joined the fight. "And it looks like a third dinosaur has joined the battle! I've just received word from our Experts that it's a Parasaurolophus, and Acrocanthosaurus, and a Triceratops in what looks to be a 3 for all… free for all! We'll keep you close to the explosive action, right as it happens!"

(Play "The Asterisk War" by - NateWantsToBattle)

(The music starts up and one by one, seven colored stones, one red, blue, green, yellow, purple, and cyan glow brightly. They fire a beam of energy in the center and the screen goes white.)

(The light fades and shows a Tyrannosaurus. It roars while fire explodes around it. It faces the screen and fires a fire blast, making the screen go white once again, before the opening was shown with the stones around the title.)

The battlefield is bright

(Sunset catches Blazes card in her hands and looks at the camera with Blaze next to her full sized as Pinkie jumped up as Fang appeared in flames.)

The sun, it shines today

(Rainbow twirling her card before blasting it, wind blasting as Whirlwind appeared with Rainbow on his back. Rex is also there, with Ace appearing in a flash of wind.)

Our emotions and shadows are cast away

(Applejack pulling out her card and the earth crumbling as Razor rose up from the crumbling earth.)

But everyone's aware that soon enough it's about to go down...

(Sonata had water swirling around her with Rarity next to her as Iry and Scales burst from the water.)

The light will fade out!

(Lighting struck Max's card as Chomp appeared in the storm of electricity, full sized.)

Even dreams we have that came out of our lowest times

(Fluttershy and Zoe are surrounded by Leaves as Paris and Maya rose up with green aura surrounding them.)

will be forgiven by the world by you and I

(Dr. Z lashes his arms out as Terry, Tank and the Alpha Dino Clones appeared.)

Now close your eyes and reach and let me guide you

(The stones assembled into one big tablet as they all glowed.)

If not, alone, how will you go with me?

(Everyone raises their cards on both sides and readies to swipe or fire them.)

We'll fly high!

(they slashed and fired.)

Ringing out to break apart, and like a spear you pierced my heart

(Ace strikes with Ninja Attack, followed with Chomp with Electric Charge.)

I'm screaming out to you, you're my star, will you shine forever?

(Iry uses Water whip with Blaze with Elemental power.)

Live on and guide this madness.

(Fang uses Fire Cannon, Whirlwind with Atomic Bomb.)

All of the things that we need are right in front of us

(Maya jumps and uses Diving Press, and Paris uses Nature's Blessing.)

Love will guide you, and pick you right up off the ground

(Scales uses Water Whip as well, but with two on his tail.)

We have a purpose, we'd rather die before we back down

(The D-Team and the Main six face off against the Alpha Gang and their Dinosaurs.)

Stop screaming out louder than before

(The D-Team use their move cards as Chomp, Ace and Paris Charge.)

Maybe someday you'll get, this is the Asterisk War!

(The Main six and Sonata glowed in their pony and Sieren forms with their dinosaurs glowing in their power, before they all roar and blast their attacks.)

(The group was in front with the dinosaurs in the back, they all cheered as the dinosaurs roared with the opening below them.)

Six hours earlier…

At Zeta Point, Dr. Z was putting the finishing touches on his new machinery.

"It's almost completed! Just have to fuse this…. And sawyer that… and weld whatever this is…!" Z said.

"I wonder what it is Dr. Z is inventing this time?" Ed asked as Terry rushed by with Tank close behind, rolling around in her ball form.

"Whatever it is, there's gonna be a huge bang, and a big cloud of smoke coming up any minute now." Ursula replied, laying on the couch.

"Well maybe this one will be different. It could actually work." Zander pointed out, before Ursula's prediction came true. A bang went off with smoke pouring, but no yelling occurred, only fits of laughter from Dr. Z.

"At last! My super Alpha Controller is finally perfected!" Z exclaimed as he presented the huge pink machinery, twice as large as the original Alpha Controller.

The three gasped in amazement to this new machinery.

"Allow me to show you a demonstration, using the Acrocanthosaurus card i searched great lengths to acquire." Z smirked, holding up the Acrocanthosaurus card the three previously required from their last mission.

"That's odd. Wasn't it us getting Scalded by Geysers?" Ursula asked.

"And Dragged by firemen?" Ed implied into the question.

"And burned to a crisp?" Zander concluded.

"I simply place the card into the super alpha controller, and switch it on!" Inserting the card, the machine hummed and shined against the card, before it stopped. The machine rose up and revealed the newest version of the Acrocanthosaurus, with a pink back scale color and body and underbelly all black, giving it a new fiery and frightening appearance.

"Heheh! Behold!" Z announced, showing the new upgraded card.

"Well it's a lot much prettier color now…' Ed spoke up, seeing the new appearance of the dinosaur.

"Forget the color, you halfwit!" Z stated as he approached. "This Acrocanthosaurus is going to be insanely powerful. And, when you activate it, this dinosaur will be under your full command." He explained, giving the card to ursula.

"That's nice and all, but where do we come in?" Ursula asked.

"You use it to bring back all of the cards that those brats stole from here." Z said.

"WHAT?!" the gang asked in shock.

"But we can't be too shocked at this. It's a perfect opportunity to get Spiny back." Zander said. "Besides, the island isn't the same without him lately."

"Yes, I'll admit i've missed Spiny as well." Z admitted. "If we had our full set back with the addition of the Alpha-Clones, wed have a much better chance. And with a dinosaur this strong, you'll get spiny back for sure, and you fools might even win for a change!"

"There's no need to be rude about it…" Ursula said.

"So will they all turn purple like that?" Ed asked curiously.

"I told you to forget the color! But i'm so confident you can succeed, you can leave Terry and Tank here to stay and play." Z said confidently. That was when Terry and tank tackled him and started tugging and biting his beard, as he fell to the ground.

"Ow! That's enough playing! Stop...Ouch! Watch the beard!" Z cried out as he tried to pry the two off.

Meanwhile, the D-Team, along with the human six and Sonata were out in the open fields camping, while Chomp and the other dinosaurs in their baby forms were playing near the streams.

"Nothing like camping in the great outdoors, eh kids?" Spike asked. "Let's get these tents set up, and then we can eat."

"Totally with you there, Spike." Rainbow agreed as she and Fluttershy finished getting their tents up.

Chomp ran by the tent made by the D-team, but he pushed the rope back, causing the tent to tumble.

"Oh dear…" Rarity spoke in surprise, but then the tent landed on Ace, and he wasn't looking where he was going.

"Oh no! Ace, look out! You're heading for a cliff!" Rex called out, but Ace didn't hear him and fell into the water. Ace cried out as if he was in pain.

"Easy there Ace. Ah gotcha…" AJ said getting him out before giving him to Rex. "Man, Ace sure dont like getting wet, dont he?"

"Yeah, he really has a big fear of the water, but it's ok. We all have our fears." rex nodded as Ace shook the water off his feet and tail.

Later….

"I caught one!" Max cheered as he speared a fish with a pitchfork.

"Oh, i got one too!" Rex said as he reeled in a fish and it landed on a pushing cart near ace. Seeing it, he desperately tried to reach for it, for his appetite was catching up to him.

"Don't even think about it, Ace! That's our dinner!" Rex called, before Ace was pushing the cart, still desperate to get the fish near him. But he accidentally pushed too far, causing him to crash into the camping area, startling the girls and some of the ambers from the grill to roll out and set the tent ablaze.

"Fire!" Pinkie shouted.

"I got it!" Rainbow said quickly splashing water on the tent with a bucket as did AJ, taking initiative before the fire went too high, some of the others getting in on it too to extinguish the fire with little damage.

"Boy, that was close. If the fire went any higher into the tent, the damage to the Dino-Holders would have been no joke…" Sunset sighed, as Max dug into the burned tent and fished out the holders.

"They look a bit scorched…" he pressed a few buttons, and the screen flashed and blinked. "But it's still kicking."

"We'll just make a few checks with Reese back at the Lab when we go back. If the holders have any damage, it might jeopardize our next mission if another dinosaur appears." Spike explained.

The repairs would have to hurry, because the Alpha Gang was on their way. Under the lakes, they were piloting a submarine, powered by Alpha-Droids paddling like in a viking ship, repeating 'stroke', every few seconds. Ursula was not pleased with how they were moving.

"Listen up! We're going too slow! Pick up the pace! I wanna see double time!" Ursula snapped, kicking one of the drones.

They got the message and stroked faster, the sub now blazing through the water like a torpedo.

"This feels more like Quadruple time to me!" Ed shouted as they were pushed against their seats due to the speed.

"Yeah Ursula, maybe you should watch what you're saying!" Zander added.

"Maybe you should watch where you're going!" Ursula shouted as they were heading for a cliff. Too fast to stop, the sub crashed against the rough earth, shattering the machine. The three emerged from the water, as Ursula angrily pulled off a squid clinged to her head.

"Well, at least we got here in one piece." The woman stated softly.

"Yeah, but WHERE is HERE? What's the map say, Ed?" Zander asked.

"Map!? I thought you had it!" Ed pointed out.

Back at the D-Lab…

"Sorry about your camping trip, but it's a good thing there were so many of you there." Reese sad. "There's not too much damage in the dino holders, but it could take a while to get them running."

"How long will it take, reese?" Max asked.

"If they were scorched in the flames, it would have taken me an hour a holder to repair, but since the damages are not severe, it should take me a half an hour to get them at full power again." The scientist explained.

"That's a relief." Spike said.

"You'd better do mine first." Rex said holding his out.

"Hey, no way! Do mine first!" Max said shoving Rex aside.

"Quit jabbing me in the side, Max!" Rex stated.

"Sorry, but if something happens and we need Chomp? Then we wouldn't be able to use him." Max explained.

"Who cares? We use Ace." Rex stated firmly.

"Uh, you do realize were in earshot, with working devices too, right?" Sunset asked.

"Oh, right." Max said. "But anyway, i think i'm up first…"

"I think Zoe beat you to it." Sunset said as Reese was welding hers first.

"Looks like I'M first." Zoe giggled.

Back with the Alpha Gang, they popped through a bush and realized they were near the city where the D-Team lives.

"So, we're finally going to hit the brats on their turf." Zander said.

"If only we knew where they kept all the cards, Spiny included." Ursula said. "Never mind that, let's get this new dinosaur out so we can assert the demand to get him and the other cards back!"

"Yeah, and quick. I keep missing him more by the second…" Ed said.

"Right." Zander pulled out the alpha scanner and the new Acrocanthosaurus card aquired. "ALPHA-SLASH!" He swiped the card as flames burst . "Acrocanthosaurus, Blaze!" The new fire predator in its new glory and power emerged and roared in arrival.

"What?! You had to use Blaze, cant you think of something more original?" Ursula asked slapping Zander.

"Sorry. I guess I kinda liked the sound of it." He replied before seeing their new companion in the flesh.

Acrocanthosaurus, in his new form, was now a bit larger than than he originally was.

"He looks a lot bigger than i remember him…!" Ed said, noting Acrocanthosaurus was now larger.

"And a lot meaner too…!" Ursula added, seeing the power and sheer fear in his eyes as he roared, the red and pink scales on his back glowing red.

"Dinosaur, show us your profile!" Zander called, as he moved from side to side and faced them. "Now turn around and swing your tail back and forth." He obeyed, stepping in a funny way, before swinging his tail to them.

"It's actually obeying you, Zander." Ed said.

"Proof that Dr. Zs new Alpha controller really works. Kudos to him!" Zander said proudly.

"So the old goat finally made something that didn't blow up…" Ursula spoke.

"Now, i'll finally have him greet us." Zander said pressing some buttons.

Acrocanthosaurus dipped his head, bowing to them as if he was greeting, shocking Ursula and Ed in amazement. As he lowered his head, he shot a small fireball and scorched the two by mistake.

"Thanks, but when i want barbecue, i'll ask for it, alright?!" Ursula snapped, choking Zander.

Acrocanthosaurus looked at the blazes on the trees.

"This dinosaur really likes to be around fire a lot." Ed said.

"Well then let's go into town and show these people a HOT time." Ursula cackled as they headed forward, Acrocanthosaurus leaving a blaze of fire behind his footsteps.

Heading down to the highway a bit, they were left with little resistance.

"Im hurt, the brats have not shown up for our welcoming." Ursula spoke in mock.

"Why would they greet us, since we're the enemy and all? Besides, we didn't tell em we were coming." Ed said.

"Its sarcasm, Ed." Ursula said as they approached a Gas station. "Uh oh, not a good idea to pass a Gas Station with a flaming Dinosaur."

"Yes, I agree…" Zander spoke.

The small controler hovering over Acrocanthosaurus wasn't taking much of the heat from the dino and overloaded, shutting down the control of the dino. He began to regain control over himself...but not in a good way. With his new power at hand, his mind has gone rogue. He advanced to the gas station without warning.

"Zander, what are you doing? Make him stop!" Ursula said.

"I'm trying, but something's wrong with the controls!" Zander said as Acrocanthosaurus approached the station as the workers took notice and ran in fear. But then he stopped in front of it.

"Tell him to get back over here!" Ursula said.

"And to stop smoking at the gas station!" Ed said. All three of them realized where they were and ran back.

"Do NOT blow up the gas station!" Zander said as they ran back a couple yards, and nothing occurred.

"Nothing's happening…" Ursula spoke.

"Maybe he does listen to Zander after all…" Ed added.

"Well done, well done by me…" Zander began.

BOOOM!

Seconds after Zander could finish, Acrocanthosaurus lit the Gas station up like a bomb, setting off a big explosion that scorched them and caused the ground to shake.

It could even be felt at the D-Lab.

"Hey, what's goin on!?" Max asked.

They all ran out to the entrance and saw the blazing fire from the coast side.

"Whoa, a fire down by the coast road, and it's huge!" Rainbow said.

Sunset watched the flames burn, before she noticed Blaze growling at the source, knowing something bad was occurring.

"Something must be going on down there." Sunset said.

"Stay here guys. I'll go check it out." Max said riding down on his bike.

"Careful, Max!" Rainbow called.

"Wear your helmet!" Spike called.

Back at the fire, The area was blown to bits, while the Acrocanthosaurus seemed fine in the fire.

"Now you're well done zander, we all are!" Ed said, the gang smoked crispy once again.

Fire crews and a news chopper came to the scene to put the fire out as Max came to the scene.

"Whoa, is that the same Acrocanthosaurus?" Max asked as it fired back with flames from his mouth without having to use a move card. "It's a lot bigger and stronger than last time."

He then saw the Alpha gang, still smoked, trying to sneak away.

"The Old Lady? Why are you all burnt like that?" Max asked.

"GRRR! I might be burnt, but I'm not old!" Ursula snapped.

"We were looking for you, brat!" Zander pointed out.

"You creeps are probably the ones who started this fire." max said.

"Technically, that is not true. Although you could say that we had something to... " Ed started before Zander stopped him.

"Thank you Ed." He chuckled, covering his mouth.

"Hahaha, nice to see you again." Ursula cackled softly.

"So what did you guys do to that Acrocanthosaurus, huh?" Max demanded.

"That's our new and improved model." Zander answered.

"New and improved?" The boy asked in question.

"And now that you have seen what it can do, give us back all of those Dinosaur Cards and Spiny you stole from us, or we'll turn your little town into one big barbeque, Ra!" Ursula demanded.

"No deal!" Max ejected as he rode away. "You won't get away with this!"

"Wait! Hold on! How about Half of the cards and Spiny then!?" Zander called out, but was ignored.

Back at the D-Lab, Reese finished up with Zoes holder. "There you go, Zoe."

"Thanks, Reese." Zoe thanked. That was then Max was sending a video call on the TV screen.

"Bad news guys, the fire was started by the alpha gang with a Dinosaur." Max explained.

"WHAT!?" The group gasped.

"Which one? Is it one that we know?" Rex asked.

"Yeah, it's the Acrocanthosaurus they grabbed the other day. They made it bigger and stronger than before, and from what I seen, it's going on a rampage, destroying anything that challenges it." Max explained.

"Were on our way." Rainbow said, as the video was cut.

"Unfortunately, Reese has only managed to get Zoes holder back to full capacity. We haven't gotten to Rex or Max." Sonata spoke.

"We'll have to do everything in our power to slow it down, until the holders are repaired." Sunset spoke up.

"Hold out for at least an hour, and I'll have Max and Rex's holders done." Reese said.

"Right. Let's go!" Rainbow said as the girls and Zoe headed out.

Back at the chaos, the Acrocanthosaurus continued his rampage in the area, heading downtown of the city.

"Perfect! It's heading straight downtown." Zander smirked.

"This will be fun." Ed snickered in amusement.

In the tree line as Acrocanthosaurus continued its march, the others arrived near max.

"We're here, Max!" Sonata said.

"Whoa! Look at that thing!" Rainbow gasped, seeing the fire predators new and improved form.

"Its definitely stronger. And more terrifying…" Rarity said. "Dare i say we have to slow THAT brute down?"

"We have to, or else people, places and things are gonna get burned." Sunset said.

"Be careful girls, that thing is very dangerous." Max warned.

"Maybe, but so are we." Zoe stated as she got Paris's card out. "DINO-SLASH! Parasaurolophus! Bloom!" Paris shot put and emerged into her full form, bellowing in her arrival.

"Hey, over here, fireface!" Rainbow said as Acrocanthosaurus saw the girls with Paris in the flames. "You wanna burn the house down? Well you're gonna get extinguished once Iry gets her jaws on you!"

The fire dinosaur roared at the girls and Paris, challenging them.\

"Alright, if that's how you wanna play it…" Sonata said loading Iry up. "Unleash the Power! Soak it up, Irritator!" Iry emerged from water jumping a few times before shaking the water off and screeching.

"Take him out, Iry!" Sonata called. Iry roared in command and charged at the fire beast. She lunged and bit his neck, but recoiled, shaking her head violently by the sheer temperature of his scales. The Acrocanthosaurus roared and blasted her with fire, blinding her in pain, before swatting her with his flaming tail, slapping her to the ground.

"Oh man, Iry's supposed to have the advantage over fire types. But Acrocanthosaurus didn't even flinch at that bite." Max said.

"That said, i don't think sending Paris out first was a good idea, seeing as she's grass type." Rainbow said.

"We're gonna need more water power if we wanna keep it held back until the others get here." Sunset said. "Rarity, Rainbow, call Scales and Spiny. Iry's gonna need help."

"I dont wanna send spiny out so soon…" Rainbow said.

"If that's the case, leave this to Scales, darling. Unleash the power!" Rarity said. "Unleash the Hurricane, Saltasaurus!"

Scales bursted out as the rain from his arrival patted his rough back as he roared. He joined the fight and swung his neck into Acrocanthosaurus, roaring in surprise as he skid back from the impact. He didn't take that lightly and blasted another flamethrower at Scales.

"Scales, LOOK OUT!" Pinkie waved in panic as scales did not have enough time to move and took the brunt of the blast.

"Oh my lord!" Rarity gasped.

"Scales just got roasted!" Sonata gawked.

Rainbow and Sunset looked closer into the fire, seeing the shadow of scales in the blazing flames. That was when a blue glow engulfed in the flames before a massive Tidal wave blasted out and dimmed the flames, as Scales roared at Acrocanthosaurus.

"He survived?!" Ursula gasped in shock.

"No way! That Saltasaurus should be burnt to a crisp!" Ed gawked.

"Wait hold on…" Zander scanned before gasping. "That Saltasaurus learned a new powerful water move card, Super Tidal Wave!"

"Excellent job, Scales! You continue that and the others will arrive before we know it!" Sunset called out to the salto. Scales started bashing the fire redator with newfound power as it was getting overwhelmed.

"Gah! He;s losing!" Ed gasped.

"Zander, do something!" Ursula shouted.

"Not to worry, I have that covered." Zander smirked before pulling out a move card. "Alright, Acrocanthosaurus, time to have a taste of Terrys card! Go Flames of Victory!" Swiping the card, Acrocanthosaurus roared even louder than before, gaining new level of strength as his body was now totally in flames and spreading around the battlefield.

"Oh, that ain't good.." AJ said.

"We need to block him! Water Whip, Iry!" Sonata called, activating her partner's card.

Iry lashed out with her signature move as Acrocanthosaurus as he bit down on the whip with flaming jaws. Stem exploded around them as they all braced.

"It's a tie!" Rarity spoke.

Iry jumped out from the steam as she waited if Acrocanthosaurus was truly defeated.

"Did it work?" Fluttershy asked.

Silence fell for the moment in the cooling night air, but it was broken by a powerful bellowing roar, fire blasting everywhere, as the Acrocanthosaurus faced the group, still standing and with power to burn.

"Man, that thing can take some punishment." Rainbow said.

"You're telling me." Sunset said.

"Alright, i've had just about enough of this!" Rainbow said reaching and got Spiny's card.

Acrocanthosaurus saw this and blasted a fireball near them that created a shock wave.

"Time for the big gu...WHOA-A!" Rainbow said blown off balance by the shock wave. Her hand slipped, as Spiny's card blew into the air. It floated for a minute until it was caught by Zander.

"Oh why thank you, how kind of you to generously return Spiny to us." He snickered as Ursula and Ed laughed, finally relieved to have Spiny back on their side.

"Oh, come on!" Rainbow snapped.

"We can't afford any more mistakes. I don't care if she's at a disadvantage, help out Scales and Iry, Paris!" Zoe called. Agreeing, Paris jumped into the battle now, as she was doing her best to help the two water dinosaurs against the fire predator.

A car then pulled up, as Spike exited with Chomp as well.

"Dad!" Max said as they saw Spike in a fireproof suit.

"Your holder and Rex's are fixed, Max. Rex should be on his way soon." Spike said.

"Where'd you get that fire-resistant gear, Spike?" Sunset asked.

"Online. It's made of fireproof material, and of course, I bought you all suits as well." Spike explained, holding a few up. When the Acrocanthosaurus blasted a fireball and exploded, embers fell on him and the suits and were set on fire.

"Gah!" Spike yelled.

"Take it off, take it off!" Sonata shouted.

"Ok, nevermind!" Spike stated as he discarded the suits and his quickly.

"Regardless, Chomp is in the fight! Put him in, Max!" Rainbow said.

"Took the words right outta my mouth!" Max agreed as he called Chomps card and slashed it. "DINO-SLASH! Go, Triceratops! ROAR!" Chomp emerged in full form, roaring with lighting around him and landing into the fight now.

"Nice of you to join the party, Chomp." Sunset said.

"Now charge that flame face!" Rainbow cheered. He agreed and bashed him to the ground. The Acro quickly recovered and roared, blasting flames and fire in Chomps face, as he was backing up and taking damage from the attack.

"Oh man, not even Chomps headbuts can faze that thing." Max said.

The two faced down, not moving at all, but that's when the Acro made a swift and fast move, swatting Chomp with his tail and blasting more fire at him. The impacts were taking a toll on Chomp as his energy was draining quickly from the attacks.

"Chomp!" Max shouted in worry.

"Get outta there, buddy!" Rainbow called.

The acrocanthosaurus was trying to bite him, as Chomp was avoiding his flaming jaws. He started backing up in the direction of the Alpha Gang.

"No! Dont lead him over here!" Ursula shouted.

The fire dinosaur fired a fireball at Chomp, who managed to avoid the flames, and the Alpha Gang making an escape into the water to avoid the blast.

The machine hovering over the Acro took a heavy toll, no longer able to stand the heat, as it finally exploded into pieces, along with the super Alpha Controler back at Zeta Point, which also exploded by the massive energy from the beast.

"Argh! Whats going on over there?!" Dr. Z shouted.

At the fight, now no longer in control of the Alpha Gang, the Acrocanthosaurus was in his own control, but was now in a fierce display of power and strength, bashing and blasting the dinosaurs around him in total chaos.

"Oh no, Paris!" Zoe said as Paris was bashed into the treeline.

"Nothings working! We tried using water moves, but it doesn't seem to work!" Sunset said as the flames rose higher.

"And this fires gettin worse!" AJ added seeing the flames around them.

"Oh! I have an idea!" Pinkie said loading her shot. "Unleash the power! Take a bite out of him, Carcharodontosaurus!"

Fang leaped out of the blaze, and also showed of some style by diverting the flames in front of him by snapping his massive jaws. He then got into the battle and roared.

"Fang?! Since when is adding more fuel to this fire a good idea?!" Rainbow asked her hyper crazy friend.

"We're running out of options here. Id take any idea until Rex and Ace get here." Max said.

"Well, if you say so." Rainbow nodded. "Okay fang, show that fire face the might of your fire!"

Fang agreed and roared, charging in and biting down against the Acro. The burning scales were not bothering him as the two beasts clashed in strength.

"Check it out, Fangs not even getting hurt by that things body." Zoe said.

"Of course, since they're both fire types, one cannot harm the other!" Sunset spoke up, realizing what's happening.

"Why didn't we think of this before? Instead of dimming the fire, fight fire with fire!" Sonata said.

"We'll need more help, even with Fang, that Acro is still strong." Max said before turning to Sunet. "Sunset, you need to summon Blaze to the battle. Fang's gonna need more backup."

"You don't need to!" Rex said running up after getting up on his bike. "Im here, guys!"

"What took you so long?" Sunset asked.

"Cars and people were beginning to evacuate the section of the town where this location is heading." He explained.

"Regardless, Good timing." Sunset said seeing paris and the others down. "Paris and the others are down, and Fangs the only one fighting Acrocanthosaurus."

She then kneeled down to ace. "Its up to you, Ace." she said.

Ace nodded, knowing everything was riding on him.

"Alright, Ace, let's do it." Rex said as he activated his holder and called forth Ace's card. "DINO-SLASH! Carnotaurus, Blow them away!" Ace was summoned by the wind, roared in arrival. He then stood Side by side with Fang.

(Cue-Killer Instinct S2 OST - Inferno)

The three dinos stood and stared at one another as the flames surrounded them with Fang and ace, the only ones able to stop the acro. The flames burn in the night as the battle was ready to begin.

"FIGHT!" Rainbow called to the two.

On command, Ace and Fang charged in, with the Acro roaring and blasting fire. Fang took it, protecting Ace as he jumped and bit down on his neck, but recoiled by the burning scales.

"Cyclone!" Rex called as Ace used his signature move and charged in.

"No Rex, don't use Cyclone! It'll only spread the flames over!" Spike called as the wind blew.

"We're gonna have to try using a water attack again." Zoe said.

"Scales and Iry are down, we can't use any water type moves!" Sonata said.

"And Spiny's been taken by the Alpha Gang!" Rainbow added.

"Wait, i think there is a way we can still use water. Rex, remember when Ace used Cyclone with Blazes fire attack and he was in a fire tornado?" Sunset asked.

"You think i can use Cyclone with water the same way i use fire?" Rex questioned.

"If you mix Water with Wind, you get a Hurricane. It could be just the thing we need to stop that Acrocanthosaurus." Spike said.

"But that would mean ace has to get wet, and he hates the water." Max added.

"It's the only option we have. If he won't do it, then the city will go up in flames." Sunset stated.

"Sunset's right, Max. We have no options left." Rex nodded. "Pinkie, I need you and Fang to distract the Acrocanthosaurus while Ace and I prepare for the attack."

"How are you gonna get Ace in the water?" Pinkie asked.

"I'll figure something out." Rex answered running to the bay. "Ace, follow me! This way!"

Hearing his partner, Ace ran for Rex, as Fang took charge in distracting the Acro.

Acrocanthosaurus blasted another fireball at Fang. Fang then got an idea.

He opened up his mouth wide, and snapped down on the fireball, eating it.

"Woah! Did you see that!?" Sonata gasped.

"Fang just took that fireball and ate it!" Rainbow gawked.

"Now it our turn fang! Fire Cannon!" Pinkie said, activating the card.

Fang loaded up his signature move in his mouth and fired his own fireball, blasting the Acrocanthosaurus back.

Rex and Ace made it to the bridge as Rex jumped into the water. Ace hesitated.

"You'll be ok, I promise. Just stay close." Rex called. Ace shook his head, scared of going in and stepping back.

"You can do it Ace! I believe in you!" Rex called with encouragement.

Ace knew this was the only way. He swallowed his fear this one time and jumped into the water.

"Alright, ready to battle again!?" The calm boy called as he got his card ready again and swiped it. "CYCLONE!"

Wind blasted and swirled around Ace, as the water around him was swallowed up, and the wind and water created a massive hurricane tornado of wind and water. This sucked up the entire bay and left the alpha gang high and dry practicing strokes.

"Why aren't we getting anywhere!?" Ursula asked, before getting up. "Where's the water?" They heard the noise before looking back, seeing the water wind tornado.

"You had to Ask!?" Ed and Zander asked as it rose up and hurled at the fight with fang and the Acrocanthosaurus.

"Are you freakin kidding me?! RUN!" Rainbow shouted as they all ran in the opposite direction of the tornado.

"Fang! Move it!" Rex called as he came back up onto the road.

Fang saw the water tornado coming, and quickly retreated. The Acro saw it and fired its flames, but no prevail. In the tornado, Ace roared and lunged at the beast, grabbing it as the fire dino was suffocating in the spinning water. After a bit, the Hurricane bursted apart as the Acro finally went down and reverted to card form.

"Gotcha!" Rainbow cheered.

"Alright!" max pumped his fist.

"Whoo hoo, Ace did it!" Pinkie cheered.

Sunset picked up the card. She didn't know it, but as she touched it, her magic broke the Super Alpha Controller influence and changed the Acros colors to partly orange and yellow. This way, sunset could control him fully.

"I'm guessing with your massive fire abilities, you're pretty tough. And so far, i'm pretty used to fire." Sunset said. "So you're gonna get the name we humans like to call, Inferno."

"Hey, that actually has a nice ring to it." Max said.

Rex then ran up.

"Where's our champ at?" Rainbow asked as Ace came running up, miniaturized and completely soaked and jumping into Rex's arms, shivering.

"You were so great, Ace! Sorry i made you jump into the water." Rex said as Ace shook the remains off.

A few hours later, the group returned home as the battle was finally over. The Alpha gang however…

"I can't believe you lost the Acrocanthosaurus card!" Dr Z said back at Zeta point. "But i suppose it wasn't a total loss. You clods did get Spiny back, after all." Using the smaller version of the machine he has, he used its energy and compressed Spiny's card, now reverting him back to his once normal self with the Alpha Gang.

"Good to have you back, Spiny!" Z cheered, hugging the small spino. Spiny then bit his beard. "YOWCH!"

"Some things never change…" Ed said.

"But now that spinys back with us, we now have a good chance to match the brats in numbers with the Alpha-Clones." Zander said.

"If only we still had the Acrocanthosaurus, then we'd have a much bigger edge." Z said getting spiny loose.

"Well, you should've known the controller would succumb to the body heat it was giving off." Ursula pointed, before she was hit with a wrench by the doctor.

"I don't want to hear it!" Z snapped.
