Chapter 13: Child's Play!

It was raining in the streets of Rome, the once great capital of the Roman Empire now turned into a living water ground. The earth moved a bit, relieving an egg from inside. The water moved it out and the egg moved out and popped open. It revealed a new card. It was gold instead of black, and a thick headed dinosaur.

The sun came out from the black clouds, as the sun's rays reflected off the windows and onto the card, triggering its activation. And so, the mighty and thick-skulled Pachycephalosaurus was revived and let out a roar. But something was different. This one's hard dome had a shining rainbow glow on the top of its head.

Not even thinking, it charged in at the Leaning Tower of Pisa and started hitting it before it stood upright. After this, it gave another roar.

(The music starts up and one by one, seven colored stones, one red, blue, green, yellow, purple, and cyan glow brightly. They fire a beam of energy in the center and the screen goes white.)

(The light fades and shows a Tyrannosaurus. It roars while fire explodes around it. It faces the screen and fires a fire blast, making the screen go white once again, before the opening was shown with the stones around the title.)

The battlefield is bright

(Sunset catches Blazes card in her hands and looks at the camera with Blaze next to her full sized as Pinkie jumped up as Fang appeared in flames.)

The sun, it shines today

(Rainbow twirling her card before blasting it, wind blasting as Whirlwind appeared with Rainbow on his back. Rex is also there, with Ace appearing in a flash of wind.)

Our emotions and shadows are cast away

(Applejack pulling out her card and the earth crumbling as Razor rose up from the crumbling earth.)

But everyone's aware that soon enough it's about to go down...

(Sonata had water swirling around her with Rarity next to her as Iry and Scales burst from the water.)

The light will fade out!

(Lighting struck Max's card as Chomp appeared in the storm of electricity, full sized.)

Even dreams we have that came out of our lowest times

(Fluttershy and Zoe are surrounded by Leaves as Paris and Maya rose up with green aura surrounding them.)

will be forgiven by the world by you and I

(Dr. Z lashes his arms out as Terry, Tank and the Alpha Dino Clones appeared.)

Now close your eyes and reach and let me guide you

(The stones assembled into one big tablet as they all glowed.)

If not, alone, how will you go with me?

(Everyone raises their cards on both sides and readies to swipe or fire them.)

We'll fly high!

(they slashed and fired.)

Ringing out to break apart, and like a spear you pierced my heart

(Ace strikes with Ninja Attack, followed with Chomp with Electric Charge.)

I'm screaming out to you, you're my star, will you shine forever?

(Iry uses Water whip with Blaze with Elemental power.)

Live on and guide this madness.

(Fang uses Fire Cannon, Whirlwind with Atomic Bomb.)

All of the things that we need are right in front of us

(Maya jumps and uses Diving Press, and Paris uses Nature's Blessing.)

Love will guide you, and pick you right up off the ground

(Scales uses Water Whip as well, but with two on his tail.)

We have a purpose, we'd rather die before we back down

(The D-Team and the Main six face off against the Alpha Gang and their Dinosaurs.)

Stop screaming out louder than before

(The D-Team use their move cards as Chomp, Ace and Paris Charge.)

Maybe someday you'll get, this is the Asterisk War!

(The Main six and Sonata glowed in their pony and Sieren forms with their dinosaurs glowing in their power, before they all roar and blast their attacks.)

(The group was in front with the dinosaurs in the back, they all cheered as the dinosaurs roared with the opening below them.)

Another new day rises in the city. At a dessert shop, people were in a huge line to get a taste of their amazing, and delectable pudding that was limited for the day, so Max decided the Team and the girls would get a taste of it before it's gone.

"I get that this pudding is out for a limited time, but this line is ridiculous." Zoe said while the group was waiting in the line.

"And you know what? This wasn't even Max's idea, it was Pinkies." Rainbow stated.

"I heard this pudding is out of this city. Maybe I should ask for the recipe for Sugarcube Corner back home." Pinkie stated.

"Hey, where did Max go?" Rex asked, not seeing his friend with them.

"Over there by the comic stand." Sunset pointed to him.

"Max! Come on!" Rex called, as the boy put the comic away and rejoined them.

"Sorry, I got bored waiting." Max apologized.

"Sheesh, you think that after Mr. Grady left to return back to what he was doing before, things wouldn't get so crazy." Rainbow said.

"We've been hunting dinos all across the world rainbow, it can't get any weirder." Sonata stated.

"Huh?" Max heard someone say the word 'Dinosaur' before noticing the televisions showing the news. It got him interested and run for the TVs.

"Max, where are you going now?" Sunset called. Suddenly their shots and holders beeped.

"Hey, we got something!" Rainbow said.

They then ran over to the TVs.

"And now a special news from Italy. The leaning tower of Pisa was straightened, by a dinosaur." The lady reported before showing the Pachycephalosaurus.

"It's a Pachycephalosaurus." Rainbow stated in surprise.

At Zeta Point…

The news had also got the attention of the Alpha Gang, especially Dr. Z.

"This is it! This is the moment I've been waiting for!" Dr.Z said in excitement.

"I don't see what the big deal is…" Ursula said. "So we finally got cable TV."

"D'you think we'll get the cooking channel?" Ed asked.

"I'm talking about the dinosaur, you dimwits. It's a secret one of my own creations." Dr. Z stated proudly.

"A secret dinosaur?" The Alpha gang asked.

"That Pachycephalosaurus is one of my experiments that took years to perfect, and it allowed me to create a new breed of super powerful dinosaurs!" Z explained, as he told the story of how he raised the Pachycephalosaurus and fused it with a move card.

"I am the daddy of that dinosaur, and now he's like a runaway teenager! We have to get him back, or all of my hard work will be for nothing!" Z shouted.

"You can count on us, Doctor!" Ursula said.

"I cannot count on you three to get him back, that's why I'm going with you three." Z stated. "We have the Alpha-Clones, don't we? It won't matter if Spiny's gone, when we get my Pachycephalosaurus back."

At the D-Lab…

"Oooh, it's a Pachycephalosaurus." Dr. Taylor said.

"Something isn't right though." Reese stated as they took a closer look at the shining thick skull.

"Where's the dinosaur, Reese?" Max asked as the group came in.

"Its just entered Rome." Reese replied.

"Ooooh! That place has the most beautiful jewelery there!" Rarity squealed. "I should probably see what matches my beauty."

"Once we get the Pachycephalosaurus, then we'll talk accessories." Rex said as they got to the teleporter.

"Hey, what about my pudding?" Spike asked.

"We'll have to get it later, Dad." Max replied as they vanished from the teleporter.

"It won't be available much longer. But works more important, i'll get some next time they have a special a-BYE!" Spike quickly left the lab to get the pudding.

With the Alpha Gang, they were using a speed boat.

"Zander, can't this thing go any faster!? My Pachycephalosaurus is waiting for me." Z stated. "Crank this baby up!"

"You got it, Dr. Z! I'll just press this turbo boost button here.." Zander pressed it, before the ship started flailing like crazy, bouncing off the water.

"Slow this thing down!" Dr. Z said as Zander and ed pulled on the throttles too hard, that they crashed into a large whale. The impact destroyed the boat while the three paddled Z to the country.

As both teams arrived in Rome, it was difficult to locate the guy because he was moving around. But the D-Team and girls finally located him in the inside of some ruins, moving quickly as its dome shined in the dark.

"That things fast!" Max said.

"Well, if you want speed, leave it to ace!" Rex said before Rainbow was pushing against him and his bike.

"No way! Whirlwinds faster than him, let me!" She stated as then she took out Whirlwinds card, but both struggled to find their way to the holders.

"Um, this is just a suggestion but…" Fluttershy said. "Why don't you both go after it from opposite sides?"

Rex and Rainbow then looked at each other.

"Oh yeah, forgot about that. Sorry Rex. Got excited."

"Yeah me too. Alright, let's go!" Both of them went different direction and called their dinos out.

"DINO SLASH! Go Carnotaurus! Blow them away!" Rex shouted as Ace was summoned in full size.

"Unleash the Power! Leave em in the dust, Utahraptor!" Rainbow called as Whirlwind zipped around before the wind kicked in and made him grow to his full size and roar.

Ace and Whirlwind worked together, Ace tailing the Pachycephalosaurus from behind, Whirlwind trying to surprise him from the front in a pincer attack.

"We've got em now!" Rainbow cheered.

However, they were underestimating the dinosaur as the Pachycephalosaurus suddenly vanished out of sight from a bright light.

"Where'd it go?" Rainbow asked before she saw it. "Ace, behind you!"

Ace was too late to respond as the Pachycephalosaurus landed a bone crushing strike to his face with his thick skull.

"No! Ace!" Rex shouted in concern for his partner.

Pachycephalosaurus then knocked down a bunch of columns effortlessly as if they were a stack of dominoes, sending them right at Ace.

"Rex, call Ace back, hurry!" Sunset stated.

Not to be told twice the calm boy quickly called Ace back to his card before the column could crush him.

"That Pachycephalosaurus isn't just fast, it's powerful too." Rex stated as Rainbow called whirlwind back and the others went after him.

"Great speed, and good hits with his skull…. I think I just found my new team member." Rainbow stated, loving the behavior and strength of the dinosaur.

With the Alpha gang, they saw the battlefield earlier, and now it was gone.

"Hey, the battlefields disappeared!" Ed said.

"Those brats must've beaten your dinosaur." Ursula said.

"No way my dinosaur would be beaten by those brats!" Z snapped angrily. "He and I are so deeply connected I can feel his Presence!"

"Hey, you're right. I can even feel him breathing down my neck." Ed added, before Zander looked behind him.

"Gah! That's because he is!" he shouted as the Gang ran as they left Z to the Pachycephalosaurus.

"There you are my sweet child. Look at how big and strong you've grown, i remember when you were just an egg. Come on home where you belong and you'll be the master piece of my dinosaur kingdom. Don't be shy, give me a hug." Z said happily, but it roared in protest.

"I don't think he's too happy to see his dad again…" Ursula said, noting Pachycephalosaurus's personality. It was obvious he was acting like a teenager.

"Teenagers can be so cruel…" Zander sobbed.

"Hey, that's not true at all!" Rainbow snapped as she and the other appeared from their bikes.

"Look, that crazy doctor!" Max said.

"So, we meet again, but this time you won't be getting away, because my Pachycephalosaurus is going to tear you all apart!" Z snapped back.

"Not a chance, you should go back to your Dumb Island!" Max said.

"Yeah, and you can keep the old lady with you!" Zoe added.

"I am not an Old Lady!" Ursula scowled angrily.

"Zoe, what did we talk about on that island, because I'm pretty sure we discussed something about not calling Ursula that." Sunset stated.

"Oh, sorry, guess old habits die hard." Zoe smiled sheepishly.

"Hey, nevermind her, I'll make you all an offer you can't refuse! You give me the cards you all stole from me, and I won't let my super Dinosaur stomp you into jelly!" Dr. Z shouted.

"What do you mean, Super Dinosaur?" Max asked.

"What did you do to that Pachycephalosaurus!?" Zoe demanded.

"I merely improved him, and now it's the perfect opportunity to test out the power of my ultimate creation by destroying you all!" Dr. Z said.

"Oh I like the sound of that…" Rainbow said.

"You're seriously gonna recruit a souped up dino to your team?!" Zoe said.

"You won't have to worry, she'll never get the chance! AAAAAAA-Tack!" Dr. Z shouted, pointing at the group. But suddenly, the Pachycephalosaurus turned the wrong way, confusing everyone.

"Hey! You're going the wrong way!" Z said as the Pachycephalosaurus smashed its head straight into a Jewelry store window.

"It looks like it's lost or something." Max said, noticing its behavior.

"Gee, it reminds me of you, Max." Zoe said.

"And it follows instructions just as well as you do too." Rex added.

"Okaaaaay." Max grumbled.

"Well, there is something to be said about most teenagers and rebellious habits…" Sunset said.

"Tank and I will handle this! It's showtime!" Ed said getting ready to scan Tank into battle before Z slammed his foot into his face.

"No one attacks my super dinosaur baby unless I order them to!" He snapped angrily.

"Gah! My card!" Ed shouted as he and Zander chased the card down. Dr. Z then used the claw hook and gripped himself on the Pachycephalosaurus and started riding him like a bull.

"He's riding him like it's a rodeo." Zoe said in surprise.

"Now we know for sure he's crazy." Max replied.

They ended up chasing Pachycephalosaurus all over town before finally coming to the Coliseum.

"Oooh, the Coliseum!" Dr. Z said. "What a perfect place to begin my dinosaur kingdom!"

Pachycephalosaurus was then sighted near his and Ursula's location.

"Look, there he is." Ursula pointed out.

"I don't know what's gotten into you son, but you force me to take drastic measures!" Z stated as an alpha drone hovered to the dino and shocked it with electricity, making him orar in pain.

"Now that's just crossing the line!" Rainbow said.

"You're first here again?!" Dr. Z said.

"Yeah I am, and it's actually because I like him!" Rainbow said pointing to Pachycephalosaurus. "Still don't know what i'm gonna call him though, but…"

"Rainbow, focus! Hes shocking him!" Max called.

"It won't matter! My Alpha ball will make him do what I say! Go! Attack her!" Z commanded, but it backfired when he bashed the Alpha ball and it was destroyed.

"Whoops...That didn't go as well planned." Z said as he hid behind Ursula. The Pachycephalosaurus was now angry and started to slowly advance to them. "It seems we can't just see Eye to eye. I didn't want to come to this, but you leave me no choice but to teach you a little lesson!"

Ursula whipped out cards in both her hands.

"Come out, Alpha-Clones!" Ursula said throwing them into the foundations of the Coliseum, phasing out of the stone walls and roaring in their arrival.

"Tyrannosaurus! Volcano Barrage!" Z called as he summoned Terry, fire spewing. "Get him!" The clones and Terry charged at the Pachycephalosaurus.

"Oh, so it's a battle of the Gladiators you want, huh?" Rainbow said. "Then its what you'll get! Time to join the party!" She took out her holder, giving it a spin as she inserted Whirlwinds Card.

"Unleash the Power! Leave them in the Dust, UtahRaptor!" Rainbow called as Whirlwind was summoned to the field.

"Don't forget about us!" Max said holding his own Dino holder.

"We're coming too!" Pinkie said, excited about the notion of a party.

"DINO-SLASH! Go, Triceratops, Roar!"

"DINO SLASH! Carnotaurus, Blow them away!"

"DINO-SLASH! Parasaurolophus, Bloom!"

"Yippee, here we go!" Pinkie said. "Unleash the power! Take a bite outta them, Carcharodontosaurus!" Fang stepped out of the flames and roared.

"Unleash the Power! Tarbosaurus, burn up!" Sunet called as Blaze stepped out of the flames as well, roaring for battle.

"Unleash the Power! Soak them up, Irritator!" Sonata called as Iry jumped out with water covering her body and shook it off, before roaring.

The battlefield phased up as the D-Team and the three Main six dinos stood ready for the fight.

"Alright, go and save that Pachycephalosaurus!" Max called out.

They all roared in agreement to the plan and charged as Paris stood back in case of any of them needed to be healed. Chomp collided with Terry, before the Alpha T-Rex bit down on his neck, but then was pushed back by Blaze's strength. Ace duked it out with the Alpha Spinosaurus, as Fang bashed it with his giant head.

The Pachycephalosaurus took this opportunity and moved away from the fight, before running up the bleachers of the arena. Seeing this, Rainbow quickly got on Whirlwinds back.

"After him, Whirlwind!" The cyan girl called.

Whirlwind ran up the steps after him.

"Wait! I just wanna talk to you!" Rainbow called to the Pachycephalosaurus.

The herbivore looked back at her, before running further up.

Rainbow heard a roar behind her and saw the Alpha Spinosaurus approaching them as well.

Meanwhile, Chomp was going to chase them before Terry and his clone bashed him away.

"Hey! You leave Chomp alone!" Max yelled in anger.

"This is what happens to those who disobey my orders, including my own dinosaurs! Now, Terry, Tail Smash! Alpha T-Rex, Volcano Burst!" Dr. Z shouted, swiping the two cards.

Terry Roared as he charged, with the Alpha charging up fire in its mouth, and fired at Chomp.

"Blaze, Elemental Power!" Sunset shouted, swiping the card she received from her partner.

"Iry, Water Whip!" Sonata called, swiping her partner's Ace card.

Blaze stepped in and blocked the Volcano Burst attack. Terry almost grabbed Blaze by the neck, before Iry stepped in and swatted him around with her water covered tail.

"Argh, double teamed!" Dr. Z said.

Alpha Spinosaurus was going after Whirlwind and Pachycephalosaurus until he reached the top.

"I said to stop running from me!" Rainbow stated. The herbivore snorted and pawed the ground, ready to charge at her. "Whoa whoa, I did NOT mean it like that!"

She didn't notice the Alpha Spino approaching and it roared, open jaws at the girl.

"Ah! Oh no!"

"Ace! Save her!" Rex called. Ace jumped and ran for them, but there was not enough time.

But Pachycephalosaurus was able to get there, jumping over Whirlwind and bashing his head into Alpha Spino with enough force from a runaway freight train.

"Wow!" Pinkie gasped in awe.

"What are you doing!? You're supposed to fight the brats! Not me! I taught you better!" Dr. Z shouted in anger.

"Hey!" Rainbow called.

The Pachycephalosaurus looked at her.

"It was difficult coming up with a name for you. But with you having such a hard head and being super fast i got a good one…" Rainbow said. "How about... Striker?"

The Pachycephalosaurus grew surprised. He actually received a name for himself, something his human dad didn't give him. In lack of a better term, his new name...sounded awesome. A pumped out bellow was received from the Pachycephalosaurus, now named Striker, cast of his original goal to jump to the sun, and backed up Ace and WHirlwind.

"Ah! He really WAS acting like a teenager!" Dr. Z said.

"So, it wasn't the fact that he was gonna try and jump all the way to the sun?" Sonata questioned.

"I think so. Maybe Striker was attracted to anything that shines." Sunset hypothesized.

"You're going along with that name?! Never mind." Dr. Z growled.

"You'll pay for interfering and betraying Dr. Z! Alpha Spino, Tail Smash!" Ursula swiped the card as the Alpha moved in at them.

Striker moved up as his head started to shine brightly.

"Er, what is that?" Rainbow asked.

"I dunno, what is it?" Sunet asked.

"It's a Super Move!...or something else." Z replied, a little confused.

"You have no idea, do you?" Ursula asked.

"Well whatever the case, victory is in our favor! Striker, Take them out and show them what you're made of!" Rainbow Dash cheered.

Per her command, striker let loose a powerful blast of light that scorched everything in a straight line, Chomp and terry included, and the clones as well.

"Whoa-ho-ho-ho!" Rainbow gushed in amazement and excitement by Strikers amazing power.

"Ooooooh, pretty!" Pinkie chirped. Terry and the clones were turned back into cards, but some of the clones survived.

"Oooh, that's right, I think he used Laser Ray attack!" Z stated.

"You are his creator…" Ursula mumbled.

"Snap! Even Strikers power wasn't enough! The clones are still kicking!" Rainbow stated, seeing the Alpha T-rex and Spino still on their feet.

Fang had enough of this and charged in all on his own. He bashed away Alpha spino and butted heads with Alpha t-rex.

"Time to end this party with a BANG! Fire Cannon!" Pinkie cheered as she loaded Fangs card into her shot and fired.

A powerful push as Fang was covered in fire. A bellowing roar as he fired a massive fireball, hitting the clones head on, and finishing them, as they glowed and returned to their cards.

"No!" Dr. Z shouted.

"Well, i think this sums it about up. You are a terrible dad." Rainbow mocked, before Striker started approaching Dr. Z. "Huh? Hey, striker! What are you doing!?"

"Ah! Hes realized the error of his ways and is returning home at last!" Z cheered as his eyes glittered, while remembering the memories of taking care of him.

Striker himself has a glitter in his eyes.

"Ahahaha! That's it! You remembered at last who your father is!" Z started crying and hugging his snout. "Ahh, good boy."

And It was in that moment Dr Z knew… this was a really bad freakin idea.

Striker immediately threw his head up, sending the Dr into the sky, as a small star blinged for him leaving the atmosphere of the planet.

Everyone just stared at what happened.

"Wow, even his own dinosaur doesn't like him." Max said.

"Ptttttt, Fwahahahahaha!" Rainbow laughed. "That was the best! I couldn't have done it better myself!"

"Rainbow… that was his former dad." Sunset said.

"Uh, you do know that was so funny, she can't stop right?" Pinkie said.

"I guess so." Sunset said.

At that, the clouds moved out and the sun shined brightly. Striker seeing this, bellowed happily and ran up the bleachers again.

"Striker, wait, no! It's not worth it!" Rainbow called out.

However, he was too far to hear. A powerful Jump, Striker lunged into the air, collecting the last of his power and shooting directly at the sun. After that, he fell back down far from the group exhausted, turning into a card.

"Get that card!" Max called as the group and ursula ran for it.

"Oh no you don't! You keep your hands off of that card! Instead, why don't you all take a little trip!?" Ursula grabbed a handful of marbles and tossed them to the ground, causing the girls and the D-Team to fall.

"Hey! That was cheating!" Rainbow snapped angrily while Ursula laughed and grabbed Striker.

"It's not about how you play the game, it's about you win or lose, and it looks like I won this one! Ahahahaha!" She laughed in victory, not noticing a shadow starting to hover over her.

Rainbow smirked. "Eh-heh. I don't think so."

"Huh?" She felt something breathing down her neck, before slowly looking back, seeing Whirlwind, who was still out. A quick and frightful screech he created, as ursula screamed in fear, dropping Striker and running, but then collided from Dr. Z, who just returned from his little trip from the sky.

"We got it!" Max said holding the card up.

Back at the D-lab…

"So wait, you're keeping striker in card form to do some tests on him?" Rainbow asked.

"Sorry to say Rainbow, but from what i've gathered, Striker was fused with a Move Card. He can only blast so much energy using Laser Ray before turning back into a card. You'll have to find another candidate for your second member." Reese explained.

"Aw man! I was so looking forward to him being with me." Rainbow slumped.

"I'm sure there'll be another one. Maybe the Doc didn't just stop with just one of these." Sunset said.

"Hey dad, what are you doing over there? This is really important stuff." Max said as Spike turned around.

"Not only this is important, but this stuff is really good! I got the very last cup of pudding!" Spike cheered and was going to eat it, but Max tackled him for it, causing both to fall and spill the pudding.

"Noooo! Now look what you did! The pudding's ruined!" Both of them cried out in agony.

"Like father, like son, eh?" Rainbow asked.

"Well, i know this is gonna be a burn, but…" Pinkie said. "I got some of the pudding!" She pulled out a tray from nowhere, filled with pudding for enough for the group.

"Hey! Save me some of that!" Spike said.

Sorry for the delay! Now, Hope and I took out Grady, which in turn, he won't be in the series anymore. We got a little carried away to what we were adding, so we stopped adding in stuff from other movies and stuff.
