"Congratulations. You've won a free trip to Manehattan! You'll be staying in a top-quality, 5 star hotel! With FREE Dinners, hoof spas and pool visits! Details on pack of envelope." Said Applejack, staring astonished at the sparkly golden letter.

"Hey! Mail pony! I think you got the wrong address!" Called Applejack to the leaving stallion with the navy blue mail bag.

"No, miss. That's for you." He called back, trotting away quickly. Applejack looked at the letter in confusion. She never asked to enter any competitions. What was this? AJ decided she'd show this to Rarity. That gal knew everything about Manehattan. Applejack trotted on other to Rarity's boutique. She knocked on the pink fancy door. A white unicorn with a curly purple mane answered the door.

"Applejack! Hello! What brings you here and what's that letter in your hoof?" Asked Rarity. AJ showed Rarity the letter. The unicorn jumped up with excitement.

"Oh, AJ! I'm sooo jealous! I can't believe it!" Said Rarity grinning. AJ shook her head in disappointment.

"I don't really want to go, Rarity. Big cities aren't really my thing. You can go instead." Said AJ handing Rarity the letter, who gave it right back.

"Oh no no no Applejack, you're the only pony that can claim this award! You must go! It'll be so much fun!" Said Rarity, jumping up and down. AJ rolled her emerald green eyes.

"Oh, come on AJ, let a little faboustlity into your life! Take a break from your farm!" Said Rarity proudly.

"Why do you want me to go so much?" Asked AJ. Rarity looked kind of nervous.

"It's.. it's a change. Just go. You can catch up with Coco Pommel!" Said Rarity brightly. AJ sighed.

"No." The orange earth pony said stubbornly. Rarity groaned. The unicorn shoved the letter in AJ's face. Then she rubbed it.

"PLEASE GO APPLEJACK!" Rarity begged helplessly. Applejack was getting letter ink in her mouth, so she pushed the letter away.

"Fine, I'll go on this trip, but it better be worth it." Said Applejack grumpily. Rarity jumped up with joy. Applejack grumbled.

"We better get packing!" Said Rarity. She rushed inside the boutique and remerged with a bunch of sparkly, frilly dresses. Applejack didn't even look at them.

"Absolutely not. These are hideous." Said Applejack, holding up a pink sparkly dress. Rarity used her magic and slipped Applejack into a puffy, pink, flowy dress. Rarity was in tears.

"You look stunning!" Sobbed Rarity. Applejack groaned.

"This is ridiculous. Can't I just go like this?" Moaned AJ, pointing at her old farm hat. Rarity sighed.

"Fine. But promise me you'll wear one dress." Said Rarity with puppy eyes. Applejack nodded hastily. Rarity squealed with delight. She choose a short green dress for AJ. The two ponies left and went over to Sweet Apple Acres to pack AJ's suitcase. When they arrived, the apple family surprised to see Applejack holding a dress, letter and a white unicorn. The two ponies went up into the bedroom. Rarity went over to AJ's closet.

"Let's see what you've got in here. What. Is. THIS?" Asked Rarity, pulling out a pair of old rusty boots.

"Those are my old boots. Used to jokingly call em' old rusty boobs." Said Applejack. Rarity snorted with disgust.

"That is disturbing!" She cried and returned to looking at AJ's old closet. Applejack was sitting on her wooden bed, with a checkered light green pattern. Rarity was cringing at everything in Applejacks closet. She was also chucking everything on the floor.

"Rarity, thanks to you my room is just as messy as yours." Said Applejack.

"My room isn't that bad." Mumbled Rarity while picking up an old hat.

"Hey! You found Bob!" Said Applejack, snatching the hat of Rarity, who was quite shocked. Rarity shook her petite face and went back to Applejack closet exploring. AJ had seemingly already packed. Bob, the dress, the letter, some food and a picnic blanket were all inside Applejack's small green bag. Rarity had got everything out of AJ's closet thingy. The unicorn looked and saw AJ's bag.

"Seriously? AJ, you must pack more than that!" Complained Rarity. AJ shook her head.

"I ain't packing anymore, Rarity. This is enough." Said Applejack. Rarity sighed, but decided to put up with this catastrophe of a packing bag. Applejack and Rarity left the messy room and headed down stairs. Granny Smith and Applebloom were baking pie. Big Mac was doing chores.

"See you Rarity." Said AJ to Rarity, who was trotting out the door. Rarity waved. AJ went called Big Mac inside.

"I have some news." Said AJ, looking at her 3 ponies stared at her.

"I am going on holiday. To Manehattan for a few days." Said Applejack quickly. Applebloom cried.

"Holy applesauce!" Said Granny Smith. Big Mac was shocked.

"So I'm leaving tomorrow." Said Applejack. Applebloom whined.

"WHY!" Cried the little yellow earth pony. Applejack sighed.

"I really don't know Applebloom. I really don't know." Said Applejack, looking at her family.

What AJ didn't know is that was she going to have to holiday of a lifetime. And a jealous Rarity.
