A day later, Mario decided to introduce Yoshi to Pinkie Pie.
"Is she nice?" Yoshi asked.
"Yep," said Mario "but she's a bit too bouncy. Don't worry though, she's great."
Pinkie was making some cupcakes, as usual, when Mario walked in.
"OH hi, Mario," she said "whose this little friend of youuuuuuuuuuuuuuurrsss...EEEEEE HE'S SOOOOO CUUUTTTTTEEE!"
Pinkie raced over to Yoshi.
"Nice to meet you," she said shaking his hand "I'm Pinkie Pie. I like parties, cupcakes, balloons, birthday parties, Christmas parties, Halloween parties, and..."
"I think he gets it," said Mario.
"Nice to meet you, Pinkie," Yoshi said "I'm Yoshi."
"Cupcake?" asked Pinkie Pie as she held one up.
"Oh sure," said Yoshi and using his tounge gulped it in one bite.
Pinkie's mouth dropped.
"Oh did that suprise you?" said Yoshi.
"Wow," said Pinkie amazed "Un-be-livable! You have the fastest tounge ever!"
Yoshi blushed in embarrassment.
Mario chuckled.
"Okay, you two," he said "I'll be off. See ya."
He then walked out of the door humming a tune to himself(Think of the Mario theme).

Fluttershy was waiting in her house having a chat with Rarity, who after dropping off Sweetie Belle went off to see her friend.
"I knew it all along," said Rarity "you do have a crush on Mario."
"But how could it work?" said Fluttershy a bit sadly as tears fell down her cheeks "he's a man and I'm a pegasus. We're nothing alike."
"I wouldn't say he's the best looking man I've seen," said Rarity "but..."
"I didn't mean his looks," said Fluttershy "I absolutely positively mean his bravery."
Rarity looked at Fluttershy with wide eyes.
"Mario is braver than all of us," said Fluttershy "mostly me, but I felt alot more braver when I met him. He's nice, and would do anything for anypony asking nothing in return. He's a leader. He goes in and fights, not for the sake of fighting, but for his own friends, his kingdom, the world."
She gasped out a breath.
Rarity's eyes began to water with happy tears.
"Oh, Fluttershy," she wept "that was so sweet. You should tell him at once."
"But I'm a bit scared," said Fluttershy.
"I know what it's like," said Rarity "but you must try."
Fluttershy nodded and knew her best friend was right.
Then she heard a knock at the door.
"M-Mario?" said Fluttershy as she turned pink "what are you doing here?"
"Just came by to see how you were doing," the Italian plumber replied.
Fluttershy then heard Rarity clear her throat and gestured.
"Say, Mario," said Fluttershy "I was wondering if you wanted to go for a walk."
"That sounds great," said Mario "I'd love to."
As the two of them walked out, Rarity smiled.
Mario and Fluttershy made their way up to a hill.
Fluttershy glanced down and sighed.
"Is there something you need to tell me?" asked Mario.
Fluttershy perked up.
This was her chance and possibly only chance.
"Alright," she said "there's something I gotta tell you, Mario."
"I need to tell you something first," Mario said.
"And what's that?" Fluttershy said.
"YOU'RE MINE NOW!" he bellowed in a dark voice.
Fluttershy screamed as Mario changed to reveal he was actually...
"Dark Mario!" Fluttershy roared "what do you want?"
Dark Mario pounced Fluttershy.
"Something I have planned for your little hero," he said slyly "Oh I know you like that plumber, but you're not going anywhere now."
He vanished with Fluttershy in his clutches.
He suddenly reappeared but changed his form into Fluttershy's.
"Now," he said in a perfect imitation of Fluttershy's voice "that plumber is mine. No one will stop me until he's dead."
He ran off.

Meanwhile, the REAL Mario was going off to see Twilight.
"Hey, Twilight," Mario said "how are you?"
"Fine, thank you," said Twilight "what's up?"
"Oh," said Mario "just wondering if you needed help with anything."
"Actually I do," said Twilight "I think Fluttershy needed to see you a second."
"Oh," said Mario "with what?"
"I don't know," said Twilight, knowing Fluttershy liked Mario.
So Mario walked off.
He made his way to Fluttershy's cottage when...
"YOU!"
Mario jumped to see Rarity in front of him.
"MARIO HOW COULD YOU BE SO CRUEL?!" she sobbed.
"Whoa," said Mario "chill, Rarity. What did I do?"
"Don't think you don't know," Rarity snapped "how could you be so mean to Fluttershy?"
"What about Fluttershy?" Mario asked.
"SHE TOLD ME YOU SAID YOU DIDN'T WANT HER TO BE YOUR FRIEND ANYMORE AND CALLED HER NAMES! NOW FLUTTERSHY RAN OFF! YOU MONSTER!"
Rarity began punching Mario.
Mario snapped back by saying "RARITY! CALM THE HECK DOWN!"
He held her by the face and realized he accidently frightened her.
"Look," said Mario "I'm sorry I..."
Rarity broke down into tears.
"You made her cry," Rarity said "Fluttershy said she wanted her life to end."
Mario glared.
"You know she wouldn't do that," he said "now I'm gonna go look for her."
He ran off leaving Rarity to think.

Back at Pinkie's house, she decided to make some cupcakes.
"Wow!" gasped Yoshi "they look so good. Betcha can't eat 'em faster than me."
"Are you challenging me?" Pinkie Pie chuckled.
"You bet I am," said Yoshi.
"You're on!" said Pinkie "Winner gets to eat the rest."
"DONE!" said Yoshi.
The two of them began.
Pinkie gulped down two of them and popped them in her mouth.
Yoshi could just eat them all like they were light as feathers.
Eventually, Luigi walked in.
"Okay, what the heck is going on?" he said.
Pinkie and Yoshi didn't respond they kept on eating.
Luigi stood there looking bored.
Eventually Yoshi won but spit up and felt sick.
"Maybe I should've made us have a fruit eating contest," he said jokingly "Oh hey, Luigi, what's up?''
"I hadn't heard from Fluttershy," Luigi said "I'm a bit worried."
"Do you think something happened?" asked Pinkie.
"Let's hope not," said Luigi.

"FLUTTERSHY!" Mario's voice echoed around him.
"FLUTTERSHY!" he yelled "WHERE ARE YOU?"
Mario looked down sadly at the loss of his missing friend.
Then he heard several voices down below.
Mario carefully slid down and listened to some Shy Guys talking.
"You think he said might work?" one said.
"I don't know," another said "but he said that pegasus might be the key of killing that plumber."
Mario gasped.
"Oh not again," he groaned "why doesn't Bowser think of any other plan besides kidnappings?"
"Oh how wondeful," another Shy Guy said cruely "come on we better get back to the boss."
Mario thought of chasing them, but realized he would be ambushed.
"I better go back," he said and ran.

Back at Applejack's farm, the CMC were having a disscussion on what they should do to get their cutie marks.
"So," said Apple Bloom "any of you got an idea?"
"Maybe we could be like Mario," suggested Scootaloo.
"You mean like be a hero like him?" asked Sweetie Belle.
"Why not?" said Scootaloo "it sounds fun."
"It sounds dangerous," said a voice behind them.
The CMC turned to see Applejack behind them.
"You know," said Applejack "Mario doesn't care for fame or fortune, or even gets into fights just to look for one, he does it because he has too."
The CMC looked at each other.
"Alright now," said Applejack "I don't want you girls trying to do anything like that. I don't want you hurt."
"We promise, sis," said Apple Bloom "speaking of which, where is Mario?"
As on cue, Mario came running in looking worried.
"Mario?" said Applejack "what is it?"
"It's Fluttershy," said Mario "Bowser's got her."
"Not again," said Applejack "come on, we better find the others. You girls stay here."
The CMC promised and watched them leave.

Eventually Mario had gathered the rest of the Mane Six, Spike, Yoshi, and Luigi.
"Listen up," said Mario "Fluttershy's been captured we gotta save her. Who knows what Bowser will do to her."
"That no good, fiend," exclaimed Rarity "but how is that possible I was talking to her and..."
Then realization occurred to them.
"Someone on Bowser's side can change form," said Luigi "and I fear I know who."
Mario glanced at his young brother.
"You don't mean?" he said.
Luigi nodded sadly.
Fury entered Mario's body.
"Come on," he said "let's-a go."
He ran off followed by his allies.
Mario was determined to stop Dark Mario once and for all.
