Fluttershy woke up to find herself in a room with a locked door.
"LET ME OUT!" she begged.
"It's no use," said a voice beside her.
Fluttershy turned to see a beautiful young woman with blond hair and wore a pink dress.
With her was a small person with a mushroom cap and blue vest.
"You're Princess Peach?" Fluttershy guessed.
"Why yes," said Peach "and this is Toad, and your name is...?"
"Fluttershy," Fluttershy said softly "so why are you here?"
"Same as you," Peach said "I was in my kingdom sending troops to look for Mario when something grabbed me and Toad and brought us here."
"Dark Mario," Fluttershy said angrily.
"Who?" Toad said "that shadow thing?"
"Yes," said Fluttershy "he used some of Mario's blood on him and is more powerful now."
Peach gasped.
"We shouldn't worry," said Peach "Mario will rescue us."
"Yeah," said Toad "but, Princess, we gotta get out somehow."
"I tried, Toad," said Peach "but nothing worked."
Fluttershy looked at the door.
"Hurry, Mario," she whispered "please."

Mario and his group ran as fast as they could.
"Where do you think they are?" said Yoshi.
"Maybe there," gasped Applejack "look at Celestia's castle."
They all gasped and saw that it was surrounded in dark smoke and Bowser's minions patroled the area.
Mario's fists balled up.
"That fiend!" he snapped "come on let's-a go!"

Back up at the outside of the castle, Wario and Waluigi had snuck up there.
"Waluigi look at this," said Wario gazing at the castle.
"Oh yeah," said Waluigi "there's probably so much gold in there."
Wario began to sniff the walls until he smelt something that made his nose twitch.
"G-GOLD!" he yelled and broke the wall down.
The Wario Brothers looked in awe at all the riches around them.
Wario whistled "Shoot, look at all this money."
"We're in heaven," gasped Waluigi "come on let's get the gold and go."
They stuffed as much gold in their pockets and pants as they could.
They ran off but not before realizing some Koopas began to chase them down.

Mario and his group entered the castle.
"It's quiet," Mario said "too quiet."
Then suddenly Yoshi was hoisted up by something.
"YOSHI!" called Pinkie.
"Guys, go on," he yelled.
"There's probably more traps out there," Mario said "look where you step."
Then a Thwomp appeared above them and fell down.
"SCRAM!" shouted Luigi as they ran in different directions.

Spike began to run with Twilight and Rarity in on direction down a hallway.
"Where did everyone else go?" said Spike.
"Let's hope we catch up with them," said Twilight.
Then a Boo appeared in front of them scaring them out of their wits.
Spike looked back at it causing it to shiver in fear and vanish.
"Huh, who knew that would work," Spike said to himself.
"SPIKE!" called Rarity.
Spike turned to see Rarity was holding on to the floor as a hole appeared below her.
"Rarity!" cried Spike.
He ran over to save her.
"Hold on," Spike said "I wont let go of you and never will."
Twilight rushed to help them but Rarity fell and Spike went down with her.
"Twi, GO!" yelled Spike.
Twilight let out a small tear as her friends fell down the chasm.
"Oh, Spike, Rarity," she sobbed and ran off.

Applejack and Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie had made their way where several tombs were waiting.
"This is creepy," said Rainbow Dash.
"No...sudden...movements," said Applejack sharply "look."
Several Dry Bones appeared in front of them.
"Eep!" shrieked Pinkie Pie and ran, but got caught by two of them.
Applejack brought out her whip and lassoed one and made it crumble, but it quickly regenerated itself.
"Uh oh," said Applejack.
Rainbow Dash picked her up and flew over the skeletons below them.
"Nice try, boneheads," said Rainbow Dash to the Dry Bones.
Then a large net appeared over them causing them to fall and be surrounded by Hammer Brothers.
"Nice try," snickered one.

Mario and Luigi ran past several Fire Brothers in their way and dodged some Bob-ombs.
The brothers could easily beat them by jumping and kicking.
"Alright," said Mario "I see light up ahead."
As they made their way to the exit they gasped.
"Sweet merciful crap!" gasped Mario.
Mario and Luigi could see that their pony friends were all tied onto posts(except for Fluttershy and Twilight who were nowhere to be seen).
Yoshi and Spike had chains on their feet as they began to massage Bowser's back.
And in the corner of Mario's eye he could see two glass balls and faintly saw two figures in them who were trying to get out.
"Well, well," said Bowser "I see you arrived, Mario Brothers."
"You!" snapped Mario and lunged at him causing Spike and Yoshi to retreat.
Bowser threw Mario off of him.
"Now where's the rest of them?" Mario said.
"One is missing," said Bowser "but don't fret we'll find her though."
"I'm right here," a voice said.
"TWILIGHT!" gasped Luigi.
Twilight had several bruises on her but looked fierce.
"You release our friends," she said to Bowser "or else."
Her horn began glowing.
She shot a beam of magic at Bowser causing him to fly back.
He pulled out a radio and said "Bring 'em out, NOW!"
Mario gasped at what he saw.
There coming from the corner surrounded by some enemies was Princess Peach.
"Peach!" he called "are you alright?"
"Don't worry about me," the princess said to him "I'll be okay."
Mario also saw Toad being lifted up by some Para Goombas and placed in a cage.
"Get back here and fight me cowards," he said but the Para Goombas didn't listen to him.
Then Mario's face turned into anger as he saw Dark Mario appear with Fluttershy in his arms.
He tied her down to the pole and faced Mario.
"Listen up," he said "let us rule this kingdom and yours or your friends here pay."
He slid his pointed finger under Fluttershy making her shiver in fear.
"Don't do it, Mario," she said causing Dark Mario to slap her.
"Don't take another step," said Mario he reached in his pocket and pulled out something that made Bowser yell like a baby.
"THE STAR!" Bowser said in fear "NO DON'T USE IT, MARIO! UH WE WERE JUST KIDDING!"
"Too bad," said Mario "he clutched the star.
His whole body began to glow as he ran for Bowser.
Mario killed several enemies by running into them and ran for Bowser.
He grabbed him by the tail and swung him into the sky.
Bowser landed with a thud just as the star's power ran out.
"P-please," he begged "No more of this."
"You will never come back here, EVER!" Mario roared.
Then Dark Mario came up behind the plumber and knocked him down.
"MARIO!" called Luigi.
Mario looked back at Dark Mario who looked at the plumber coldly.
He raised his arm up but instead of hitting Mario, he hit Bowser.
"Ouch, what the heck are you doing?" said Bowser.
"Sorry, Bowser," Dark Mario said to him darkly "As much as I respect you, I don't want anyone in my way."
"Of taking a kingdom over?" said Bowser.
"No," chuckled Dark Mario evilly "killing him."
He pointed a finger at Mario.
"Oh yes,'' the dark figure said "as soon as I heard about this one here, I knew there can be only one of us, and that is me I'm afraid."
He zapped Mario with tremendous power causing the ponies to shriek.
"If you want to kill me," said Mario "fight me then."
Fluttershy gasped.
"But Mario," she said.
Mario looked back at her.
"I must," said Mario "I must finish this once and for all."
Then he pulled out something that made Luigi gasp.
It was a red cap with wings on it.
"Bro," he said "you haven't used that for a long time."
"Not until now," said Mario and put it on.
His eyes glowed gold and his hands shimmered with light as his hat now had wings on the sides.
"Flight battle," said Dark Mario "good choice."
He revealed to show wings and he became larger and deadly.
The two enemies went up and began to fight.
Fluttershy watched and tried to free herself.
Luigi and Twilight went to free the rest of their friends.
After they got untied Fluttershy raced up to where the battle was going on.
"I'M COMING, MARIO!" she yelled.
Fluttershy punched Dark Mario and began to fight him.
"Fluttershy get away," said Mario "he'll kill you."
Fluttershy didn't listen she kept on delivering blows onto the dark fiend.
"This ends now," said Dark Mario and shot a beam at her.
"NO!" shouted Mario.
He watched as the pegasus fell down to the ground causing everyone to look in shock.
Mario looked at the dark figure coldly.
"You've hurt my friends," he said "you almost killed them, and listen to me RIGHT NOW! NO ONE MESSES WITH MARIO!"
Mario lunged at him and made a hole through Dark Mario's body.
"What?" he said shocked "how did you...?"
But before he could finished Mario jumped him and piledrived him to the ground.
Everyone looked in amazement.
Dark Mario was no more.
Mario appeared out of the smoke back to his old self and ran over to Fluttershy.
"Fluttershy," he said crying "speak to me. Please. I'm your friend, and I don't want to lose you."
He sobbed on her body.
But Fluttershy's eyes began to open.
"M-mario?" she coughed "is that you?"
Mario began to smile as big as he could.
"Fluttershy, you're okay," he said.
Fluttershy began to blush and felt herself close up to his face when she felt herself againest a pair of lips.
"Oh, Mario," she said "I'm so sorry."
Mario looked back at her with concerned eyes.
Fluttershy took out a big sigh and said "Mario I have a crush on you. I mean your brave, kind, and would do anything for anyone. I felt braver when I met you."
Mario looked a bit flushed.
"Fluttershy," he said "I'm flattered but...I have someone else. Don't take this the wrong way, I mean, you're very nice and polite, and you are brave."
"I-I am?" said Fluttershy.
"Of course you are," Twilight said behind her "think about it. You stopped a cockatrice before, you now can stand up for yourself, you even tried to stop Dark Mario."
Fluttershy blushed and suddenlty felt something kiss her cheek.
"M-mario," she gasped "but don't you have someone."
"What?" said Mario "I'm just thanking you."
He embraced her in a hug and whispered "don't be sad, Fluttershy, you'll find someone one day."
Fluttershy couldn't help but smile.

Suddenly, the glass balls began to break.
Bowser, who was still nearby, was flung away when they broke.
Mario gasped as he saw two of the most beautiful horses he had ever seen.
One of them was pure white with wings a horn and rainbow mane, while the other was dark blue with a blue mane, which both manes were wavy.
"Your highnesses," Mario bowed.
Everyone else did too.
"So," the white one said "this young man here and his brother are the ones who stopped those villians before."
"I believe so, my sister," the other one said "now he's defeated that shadow and saved us all. Thank you, Mario."
Mario blushed.
"We are Princesses Celestia and Luna," Celestia, the white horse said to Mario "we thank you on behalf of our kingdom."
"Anything I could do, ma'am," Mario said.
"Well," said Pinkie Pie "what are we waiting for, let's party!"

After the celebration was over, Mario found a pipe inside of the castle.
But before they were about to leave, Celestia's guards came in with Wario and Waluigi who were put in prison for a while.
"Well," said Peach "it looks like we better go."
"We'll miss you, guys," said Pinkie a bit saddened.
"We will too," said Yoshi getting all teary eyed anf hugged Pinkie before they left.
"Will we ever see you again?" asked Fluttershy to Mario.
"We probably will one day," said Mario he shook her hoof and the last thing Fluttershy saw before they left was Mario waving goodbye as he went down the pipe.

A year had passed, since Mario arrived in Ponyville and Fluttershy was looking up at the clouds.
"Hey, Fluttershy," said Twlight as she came up to her "you still thinking about Mario I see."
"I know he loves Peach," said Fluttershy "but I don't mind now. They're a perfect match and besides who knows when my true love will come?"
"Who knows," sighed Twilight "who knows, Fluttershy."
Behind them, they heard something pop from the ground.
Fluttershy knew who it was but teasingly said "whose there?"
She turned to see a familiar face in front of her.
"It's-a me," he said "Mario."
