The next morning, Mario went over to see Applejack.
"Mornin', Mario," said Applejack "you sleep well?"
"Sure did," said Mario "wow your farm's beautiful. Look at all these apple trees."
"Thanks," smiled Applejack "my family harvests apples. We can make an apple cider that packs a punch."
"Sounds good," said Mario "uh is it just me or did that apple vanish."
"What do ya...oh my goodness!" exclaimed Applejack.
More apples began to dissapear.
"Looks like some varmit's gone after 'em," she said as she got her lasso.
They heard something belch.
"I think something's over there!" said Mario pointing in front of them.
Applejack and Mario saw a figure run past them.
"I'm going in," said Applejack and ran off.
The thing was fast but so was Applejack.
She tried to lasso the creature but failed.
She tried a second time and caught something.
"Hey, Mario," said Applejack "I caught that little vermin."
"Whoa, whoa," said Mario "hold it, Applejack."
"What's the problem?" said Applejack.
"I know this guy," said Mario.
"Huh?" said Applejack Applejack turned to see a small green dinosaur with a red saddle and orange boots lassoed by the foot.
"P-please," he begged "I'm so sorry, miss, for eating those apples, I was hungr...MARIO!"
"YOSHI!" said Mario joyfully "what are you doing here?"
"MARIO! Same goes to you," said Yoshi "where are we?"
"Equestria," said Mario "and this here is my friend Applejack."
Applejack shook Yoshi's paw.
"Sorry about the rough greeting," she said.
"I'm sorry too for those apples," said Yoshi "I hadn't eaten in days. But those apples are the best I've ever eaten."
"So did Princess Peach send you?" asked Mario.
"Not just me," said Yoshi "an entire army was sent to find you and Luigi. Where is he anyway?"
"He's helping out somewhere," said Applejack "so how do you think you got here?"
"Well," said Yoshi "after Mario and Luigi were reported missing, I went with a group to look for them. I accidently got separated and fell down some pipe."
"Pipe?" said Mario "where did you fall at?"
"Someplace in Desert Land," said Yoshi "why?"
"Oh no," said Mario "if it's what I think it is, Bowser's set up pipes using his dark magic to invade other places but looks like they end up here."
"You think somepony else might be here," said Applejack.
"Possibly," said Mario "but let's hope they're friends."
"Okay," said Yoshi "let's hope none of our enemies arrive."
"Yeah," said Mario "about that. Bowser's here. He's made a clone of me but I don't know much of his entire plan."
"Same as usual I guess," said Yoshi sarcastically.
"I don't know though," said Mario "but I need to help Applejack here harvest these apples."
"You don't mind if I help?" said Yoshi "I won't eat any apples this time."
"Alright then," chuckled Applejack "come on, Yoshi."
Yoshi jumped with joy and went off to help them.

Meanwhile, Luigi was taking a walk through a little forest and whistled a little tune.
Nearby he heard something that made his skin crawl.
"Well if it isn't you," said a voice.
"YOU!" snapped Luigi.
Dark Mario appeared right behind Luigi.
Luigi lunged at him but was just tossed aside like a doll.
"Cool it!" Dark Mario snapped "I'm not here to fight you."
"Well what the heck do you want then?" said Luigi.
"Just giving you and your brother a warning," Dark Mario said coldly "I will not be stopped. Watch your back."
He vanished into shadows.
Luigi pondered for a moment.
"Him saying 'I won't be stopped' my butt," He said.
"I MEAN IT, GREEN," Dark Mario snapped as he appeared right in front of him "just remember, I would love to kill you now, but my master has other plans."
He vanished.
"Other plans?" pondered Luigi "what does he mean by that?"
Nearby, Luigi heard someone else's voice.
But it sounded like a scream.
Luigi ran off to see what was wrong.
When he got there, he saw Rarity.
But she wasn't in any danger at all.
She looked fustrated as she looked at a small white filly in front of her.
"Sweetie Belle," said Rarity "I told you not to wander off alone."
"But sis," Sweetie Belle said sadly "I was just going to see Apple Bloom and Scootaloo what's the problem with that?"
"Because of those 'incidents'," said Rarity "now you're not in any trouble, but until this is sorted out I need to bring you to your meetings."
"Okay," sighed Sweetie Belle.
"Maybe I can take her," Luigi said.
Rarity turned.
"Oh hello, Luigi," she said "this is my little sister, Sweetie Belle. Sweetie Belle, this is Luigi."
"Nice to meet you, sir," Sweetie Belle said.
"Same to you," said Luigi.
"Say you're one of those two guys who came from that Mushroom Kingdom right?"
"Yep," said Luigi "I cant tell ya about it on the way to your meeting if your sister allows me."
"Go on ahead," said Rarity "please keep her safe, Luigi."
"I promise," said Luigi "come on, Sweetie Belle, I'll tell you all about where I come from you see..."
Rarity smiled as she saw them leave.

Fluttershy was taking a walk with Twilight and Spike.
"You seem a bit down, Fluttershy," said Spike worriedly "what's wrong?"
Fluttershy turned away too embarrassed to tell her crush on Mario.
"Come on," said Spike "you can tell me and Twi."
Fluttershy let out a big sigh.
"IhaveacrushonMario," she said rather quickly.
"What?" said Twilight.
"I...have...a...crush...on...Mario," Fluttershy said meekly.
She turned her head away as her face turned red.
"You have a crush on Mario?" said Twilight.
"I know," said Fluttershy "it sounds stupid."
"No it's not," said Spike "remember I have a crush on Rarity and she's a unicorn and I'm a dragon so you're not alone on this."
"He probably just sees me as a friend," said Fluttershy sadly.
"You never know," said Twilight "but he wouldn't want to hurt you, Fluttershy. None of us would."
"Yeah I guess so," said Fluttershy.
Uknown to them, Dark Mario lurked behind them.
He was about to lung forwards but stopped himself.
"No," he thought "wait until the time is perfect. No one will suspect a thing."
He vanished.

Back at Applejack's place, Yoshi was hitched to a cart and Mario rode on his back picking the apples from the trees.
Yoshi glanced around at all the apples.
"So many," he said with his mouth drooling "so tasty."
"Now, Yoshi," Mario said sternly "don't even think about it."
Applejack was nearby talking to a small yellow filly with a red mane and a pink bow and an orange peagasus with a short pink mane.
"Now girls," Applejack "I know you need to have yur little meeting but it's not safe for you to go to your clubhouse now."
"Yes sis," the yellow filly named Apple Bloom said "but what about Sweetie Belle?"
"Yeah," the orange peagasus named Scootaloo said "what if she's all alone out there?"
Applejack gasped.
"Good glory!" she cried "I didn't think about that. Okay, I'm going out to see if she's alright, you two stay here."
The two fillies watched as Applejack ran off.
Then Scootaloo noticed Mario and Yoshi.
"Hey, AB," she said to Apple Bloom "you think that guy over there's Mario?"
"Oh that guy they were talkin' bout," said Apple Bloom "I think it might be. But whose that little green dinosaur he has. He's cute!"
The two of them went over to meet them.
"Hi," Apple Bloom said "you must be, Mario. I'm Apple Bloom, Applejack's sister, and this here's my friend Scootaloo."
"Oh why yes I am," Mario said "nice to meet you girls. Oh and this is Yoshi. He's an old friend of mine."
"Hi," Yoshi said and glanced at the apples.
"So," said Scootaloo "you're the guy who went out to rescue Rainbow Dash when she was captured. That is so cool! You're awesome."
Mario's face turned red.
"Well," he smiled "I couldn't do it alone. My brother Luigi and Rainbow's friends had to help me."
"Speaking of which," said Apple Bloom "where is your brother? We'd like to meet him."
"I'm not sure," said Mario.
Apple Bloom noticed Yoshi fawning over the apples.
"I see you like apples, Yoshi," she said.
"Oh I sure do," said Yoshi "but these are the best I ever ate."
"You like cider?" asked Scootaloo.
"Apple?" asked Yoshi.
"Yep," said Scootaloo.
"Heck yes," said Yoshi with glee.
"Well we make the best apple cider year round," said Apple Bloom "you should try it sometime."
"I think I should too," agreed Yoshi licking his lips.
"Alright, Yoshi," said Mario "let's get back to work."

Luigi and Sweetie Belle were walking up to a small house.
"What a nice little house," said Luigi "so this is your clubhouse?"
"Mine, Scootaloo's and AppleBloom's," said Sweetie Belle "This is where we hold our CMC meetings."
Luigi looked puzzled.
"It stands for Cutie Mark Crusaders," explained Sweetie Belle "we don't have ours yet."
"Well," said Luigi "you might get it one day."
Then out of nowhere, Luigi heard something he wish he didn't hear.
"Well well well," a snotty voice said "if it isn't the 'sidekick'."
Luigi turned and bawled his fists when he saw who it was.
Two men looking like uglified versions of Mario and Luigi with their yellow and purple clothes.
Luigi put Sweetie Belle behind him.
"Wario, Waluigi," Luigi snarled "what do you idiots want?!"
"One thing," said Wario "We've got to have...money!"
"Yeah," sneered Waluigi "now give us all you got."
"Fat chance," said Luigi.
"Okay then," said Wario "Waluigi."
Waluigi pulled out a gun and fired.
Lugi quickly dodged it and picked up Sweetie Belle and began to run.
"You can't hide from us," said Wario.
Fortunatly, Luigi was alot faster then Wario and Waluigi.
He and Sweetie Belle eventually ran to a dead end.
Wario and Waluigi came up.
"I guess this is it," Sweetie Belle whimpered.
"Wait a moment," said Luigi.
He looked through his pockets until...
"Oh yes," said Luigi.
He pulled out a feather with an orange tip.
He grasped it and looked on his back to see a cape.
"Wow," gasped Sweetie Belle.
Luigi picked her up and flew off.
"Drat! Drat! And double drat!" snapped Wario.
"Well," said Waluigi "we would've gotten them if you weren't so faa..."
But he was cut off when Wario kicked him in the knee.

Underground, Bowser had moved to another lair.
He was in a very bad mood.
"Sire?" Kamek said "are you okay?"
Bowser growled at him.
"Does it look like it?!" he groaned.
"Uh n-no," said Kamek nervously "but we must invade their kingdom somehow. You can't just sit on your butt doing nothing."
Just then, Dark Mario appeared.
"Sir," he said to Bowser "I may have a good suggestion."
He whispered it.
"You sure you can do it?" Bowser said to him.
"Yes," Dark Mario grinned evily.
He then showed Bowser what he could do.
"B-BRILLIANT!" said Bowser "we can't be stopped now."
The evil Koopa King roared with evil laughter.

"Sweetie Belle?" called Applejack.
She roamed through the fields everywhere.
"Applejack?" a voice called "is something wrong? Where's Sweetie Belle?"
Applejack turned to see Rarity looking worried.
"I don't know," Applejack said "I think she went to her CMC meeting but didn't know she wasn't supposed to go there."
"Luigi went with her," Rarity said "I hope their okay."
"We certainly are," a voice called behind them.
"LUIGI! SWEETIE BELLE!" gasped Applejack.
"Sweetums!" said Rarity "what happened? Are you hurt?"
"Not at all," said Sweetie Belle "Luigi and I ran from these two guys called Wario and Waluigi."
"They're Mario and I's rivals," explained Luigi "but their opposites of us. Greedy, evil, and garlic smelling."
"Eww," said Rarity "But thanks, Luigi. Come on, Sweetie, Applejack knows where your meeting is at."
