The blue hero soon found himself conscious again, with the others wide awake, and waiting for him. Except Rainbow Dash, who is missing from the group. "How long have I been out?" Sonic asks. "Longer than all of us, that's for sure." Tails responds. Sonic then looks up at the sky, and sees it is night time. He chuckles, then starts to look around for Rainbow Dash. "Hey, where did Rainbow go?" Sonic asks. "Rainbow Dash went off flying after she woke up. She didn't say why though." Twilight says. With hearing Twilight, the blue hero got up on his feet, and streched. "Well, I'm gonna go find her. Who knows what Egghead has lurking around here." Sonic says. Then, before anyone could argue with Sonic, he ran off into the second half of Mushroom Hill.

(Meanwhile)

We manage to catch up with Rainbow Dash, who is flying around the trees surrounding the area. But something is off with the trees though. Instead of having green leaves, and a brown trunk, the tree has orange leaves, and a grayish trunk, which is not normal for the trees. "Weird... These trees are different then the ones I've encountered. What's going on...?" RD thinks. Before she think about this further, a small mushroom is thrown in her direction by a mole robot. Unfortunately, the rainbow pegasus does not see this, and gets hit. "ARGH!" RD yells as the mushroom hits her in the face. The small mushroom sends her flying backwards, and straight towards the ground. She is about to hit it, when she feels something catch her. Rainbow Dash looks toward her catcher, to see Sonic holding her bridal style. "You need to be more careful out here Rainbow. You don't know what Eggman has in store for us." Sonic says, putting the pegasus down on her hooves. "I would've been just fine you know." RD says. "Says the pegasus who was falling towards the ground." Sonic shoots back. The rainbow pegasus just frowns at the blue hero, before pushing him playfully and smiling. "Heh, guess your right. Say, lets head back. The others must be worried." RD says. Sonic nods his head in response, and the two speedsters turn to go back...

When they come face to face, with a mob of robots!

There was Buzz Bombers, Crab Meats, Moto Bugs, and who knows what else. Their objective...

Kill Sonic and Rainbow Dash.

"Does Eggman really think he can take us out this easily?" Sonic asks aloud, making a cocky grin. "I don't know Sonic... There's a lot of robots..." RD says worriedly. The blue hedgehog just turns toward the pegasus, his grin not fading. "Heh, we can take them on. Don't worry." Sonic says. "I hope you're right..." RD says, spreading out her wings. Sonic is the first to attack, as he Spin Dashes straight into a Moto Bug, before jumping up, and kicking a Buzz Bomber straight into the ground. Though, after landing on the ground, he is struck by a Rhino bot, sending him sliding back a few feet. And the worse part, where the Rhino bot had struck Sonic on his side, he started to bleed a little bit. The blue hero felt the blood running down his side, and he just smirked. "Heh,heh,heh, you can't take me out that easily bucket head." Sonic says. The blue blur attempted to do a Homing Attack, but before he could execute the attack, Rainbow Dash bucked the robot straight into a Crab Meat, and they both exploded. With the robot destroyed, the two speedsters concentrated on the robots they had to deal with now. Another Buzz Bomber shot at Sonic, but he just simply jumped out of the way, and landed on a Moto Bug. "Catch me if ya can!" Sonic exclaims, starting to run around the battlefield.

Unfortunately though, as the blue hero started to run around, the bleeding started to catch up with him, as he started to feel sleepy from the blood loss. "Come on, stay awake..." Sonic thinks. He is able to stay awake long enough to take out a few Buzz Bombers, but after taking out a fourth Buzz Bomber, he falls asleep, IN MIDAIR! Now unconscious, the blue hero collapses to the ground, allowing the robots to surround him. "Sonic!" RD cries out. She quickly comes to the hero's aid, bucking a few robots into each other, and just basically obliterating them. Soon after though, the rainbow pegasus started to feel weak from all the battling she was doing, and there was still plenty of robots left to fight. "I... Can't lose... I... Need to save Sonic..." RD says weakly. Just as the rest of the robots start to surround Rainbow Dash, a purple laser strikes some of the bots, causing them to explode. The rainbow pegasus looks toward where the laser came from, and see Twilight and Tails helping to destroy the robots. "Twilight! Tails! Thank Celestia you are here!" RD cries out. The lavender alicorn, and yellow two-tailed fox soon join the cyan pegasus in battle, destroying every nearby robot. "Good thing we followed Sonic, or we would've never saved you two." Twilight says. "Yea... Good." RD says.

Then, in a matter of minutes, the rest of the bots were left in scraps on the ground. Rainbow Dash turned toward her two friends, and smiled. "If it wasn't for you two, I would probably be dead." RD says. Twilight nods her head in reply, and then notices an unconscious Sonic behind the cyan pegasus. "Oh gosh! What happened to him!?" Twilight cries out, running over to the unconscious hero. Rainbow turned towards Twilight, and saw the same thing she was seeing, and an immediate worried expression had gone on the cyan pegasus' face as she rushed over to Sonic. "Sonic! Wake up!" RD cried out. She started to shake the hell out of the blue blur, seeing if that would wake him up, but it was proven to no avail. Rainbow Dash then started to check Sonic's body for injuries, and sure enough, sees the wound on his side still leaking. The cyan pegasus quickly signals Twilight to come next to her, and she does so, seeing Sonic's wound. Then, with quick thinking, the lavender alicorn does a healing spell on the blue hedgehog, closing up the wound, and healing him up completely. Seconds after the spell stopped, Sonic immediately woke up, gasping for air. After a few gasps for air, he managed to start breathing normally, and looked around to see his four friends smiling at him happily. "Heh, guess one of Eggy's bots got me good. Thanks for save guys. Now, we better get moving." Sonic says. The blue hero got off the ground, and without a moment's hesitation, shot off deeper into Mushroom Hill Zone. Seeing this, the three other heroes ran/flew after him, hoping to keep the hedgehog safe.
