Chapter 15

"Watch out!" I shout, rushing past several ponies as I carry the small sack. I trip and roll before getting to my feet and rushing off again. I stop when I see who I'm looking for. "Hey Shadow! Haven't seen you in a while!" I shouted. He looked up at me and I swear I saw him smile. "Hello… Faker…" He said to me. "I still remember how you gave me that nickname…" I said before saying "Hey isn't that?" "That blue hedgehog again of all places!" "I found you FAKER!" "I think you're the fake hedgehog around here! You're comparing yourself to me? HA! You're not even fit to be my fake!" "I'll make you eat those words!" We said playing out the scenario. "Old times huh Shadow?" I asked. "Just like old times." He replied.

"So what do you need?" He asked. "Well I haven't seen you in a while and I wanted to know where you've gone." I replied. He suddenly frowned before saying "That's my business. You don't have to know." He said. "Huh? Well… All right… I guess I can leave it at that… Anyway, we found out where one of Eggman's Badnik factories are. We plan on going and smashing it up! You want in?" I asked. He nodded before we rushed back towards Ponyville. We stopped in front of the library and I saw everyone else, except for Omega. "Where is Omega? We should be ready to go when he gets here." Twilight said. Then as if on cue Omega was walking towards with a robot of a different look. It seemed to be like Omega but its limbs were skinnier, and its right hand was a gun. It had a small floating circular disk behind it.

"I have complete the reconstruction of E-102 Y codename: Gamma." Omega announced. "It is strange… I do not recall this place…" Gamma said, his voice deeper than Omega's. "You remember me?" I asked. "Sonic the Hedgehog originally created with purpose of your destruction. Purpose overridden when shown mercy by Amy Rose." Gamma said to me. "So you do remember on the Egg Carrier? What did you do after you left?" I asked him. "Freed my brothers." He replied. "Gamma went and destroyed the remaining E-100 series robots." Omega told me. "Ah, well you still have a dislike for Eggman?" I asked. "Correct. Why is IT here?" Gamma asked pointing his weapon towards Metal Sonic. "Hey, look buddy. I'm with you! Eggman has to pay for all that he's done! Now his Badnik factory is close to town. Too close for comfort, so we're going in and taking it out!" Metal Sonic shouted. "Let's go!" I yelled before running off with the others following me. I stopped when the large shadow of the factory was over me.

"Be prepared for anything." I said before leading them inside the open door. "Spike, why did you come along?" I asked. "Huh? What do you mean?" "Well you aren't much of a fighter. I think I know why…" I said looking at Rarity who was close to Silver. I saw Spike had an angry expression, which was showing signs of jealousy and hurt. "Cheer up. I'm sure you'll find someone else." I said to him. "You really think so?" He asked me. "I know so. You're a very special dragon Spike." I replied.

We walked in the lit halls of the factory. "This place is so bright… It almost feels like the sun is shining." Silver commented. "Well that means I won't be transforming…" I said, before one of the machines roared to life. A large gate opened and something rushed out at me. I was tackled by Metal Sonic 2.0, but he wasn't alone. Metal Knuckles stepped out from behind the gate. Knuckles glared at his robotic copy. "You have a lot of nerve using these things on us." I said out loud. "Well, well, well. You seem to be at an advantage. Fourteen versus two? Let's even the odds!" Eggman's voice boomed through the factory. Several more doors opened revealing something that I feared. It was robotic versions of everyone. Silver, Shadow, Twilight, Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy, Applejack, Rarity, and Pinkie. A familiar foe revealed itself as well. The robot was tall and green, it had black hands that were like mittens. Its red eyes staring at me with fury. "Zero!" I shouted, facing the robotic menace. Three silver metaled Egg Pawns walked out as well. "Looks like this is going to be a party!" I shouted before charging at Metal Sonic 2.0, slamming into him we were both attacked by Zero. He shot out his hands and grabbed us, sending quick surges of electricity through long cables he shocked us.

I saw that Rainbow Dash was having trouble with her doppelganger, they moved as if mirroring each other. Metal Silver used some sort of beam in place of Silver's psychic abilities. Metal Shadow was locked in a fist fight with the real Shadow. Fluttershy was running from her robotic double who was chasing her with fire in her eyes. Rarity was dodging attacks made by her foe while Applejack was on the offensive. Twilight was holding her opponent back with magic. I rolled and kicked Metal Sonic 2.0 is his stomach, knocking him away from me. I rushed forward and kicked one of the Silver Egg Pawns in the face, causing it to fall over. I felt a sharp pain in my side as Metal Sonic 2.0 punched me. I quickly spin dashed underneath his feet, tripping him.

"YO! SONIC! LOOK OUT!" I heard Metal Sonic shout. I ducked as one of the Egg Pawns flew over my head and hit Metal Sonic 2.0, which caused them both to hit a wall. "Nice shot!" I commented. I heard a loud crash and saw that Metal Silver had his head smashed in. I jumped over Zero's hand as it was launched out at me. I jumped and knocked him into a wall, causing the top of his head to flip open. I was what appeared to half of a blue sphere, I pointed that out and attacked. Zero gave a few quick movements before falling to the ground and shutting down.

I turned and saw nothing but piles of broken machines. "It's over Eggman! Give up and shut this place down!" I shouted. "Bah! You think I'll give up that easily you've got another thing…" Eggman was interrupted by Shadow who said "We need to split fast!" "Huh? Why?" Twilight asked. "I rigged the coolant tower to shut down. We've got two minutes until this place is reduced to fireworks!" He shouted at us. "Let's get out of here then!" I replied rushing out with the others following.

"We've only got a minute left!" Once we got outside I saw that Spike was still running to get out. I ran in and threw him out as the building exploded. I crawled out of the rubble and saw that Twilight was crying she obviously hadn't noticed me. "Sonic…" She muttered. "He was a great guy… He saved my life." Spike said tears starting to form in his eyes. I smiled and said "Aw! You guys flatter me!" They all looked at me and swarmed me with a hug, except for Shadow, Omega, Gamma, and Metal Sonic. "You had us worried dude!" Silver shouted at me. "If you do that again I'm goin to break your arms!" Knuckles yelled.

Twilight slapped me, before saying "That's or making us worry!" She then kissed me and said "That's for being all right." I felt blood rush to my cheeks, and I turned to face the others who had a shocked expression. "What? You mean you guys didn't know?" I asked. They all shook their heads. "Well any way, we cleared out this place, and loosened Eggman's grip on this place." Silver said before we started going back to Ponyville.

Shadow faced Chrysalis holding Luna in his arms, his eyes filled with fury. "You dare to try and hurt the one I love!? I'll make sure you NEVER leave this castle alive! I will personally see to the extinction of the Changeling race!" He shouted as Sonic came over and took Luna for him. Shadow rushed at Chrysalis he wasn't going to hold back. Shadow knew he was going to kill her, death was even too good for her…
