Chapter 14

I woke up and saw that it was night. "What? Did I transform in my sleep?" I asked myself. I noticed that I had, getting up I snuck past Twilight and walked outside. I breathed in the cool night air, and I looked at the stars. My ear twitched, and I said "I know you're there." Luna stepped next to me and asked "Isn't it beautiful?" "Yeah… I guess it is." I replied. "Is something wrong?" She asked me. "Yeah… I've been thinking… If the chance arrives to get home… Do I want to leave? Do I want to stay? What do I want to do?" I replied.

"Sonic, all I can tell you is that what you do here will never be forgotten. You can't let the future cloud what is happening now." She said to me. I smiled before saying "You know Twilight told me how things work around here. Celestia raises the sun, you raise the moon. Back home that's not how it works." She smiled before saying "Well this isn't your home is it?" "In a way… I guess it is…" I replied, noticing the sun starting to rise. As soon as a ray hit me I started to transform back. Once it was finished I turned to face Luna only to see she was gone. "SONIC!" I heard someone shout in fury. I turned to see Eggman, he had at least half of an army with him. "I will not lose this time! NOW ATTACK!" He shouted as the robots started to swarm me. I was fighting but there too many to handle on my own.

They started to get blows on me, when I saw a lasso grab one by the head, yanking it away from the crowd. One turned only to have his head grabbed and crushed by Omega. One was lifted into the air and crushed. Knuckles jumped next to me and grabbed me, he got me away from the crowd of robots, and I got back onto my feet. "You all right?" Knuckles asked me. I nodded before looking at the amount of robots that had appeared. Applejack, Omega, Silver, Rarity, and Knuckles stood next to me… "Six of us versus ten thousand robots… Seems a little unfair… For them!" I shouted, before we charged. We defeated the robots, allowing the stragglers to retreat. Ponies crowded us as Omega started lifting chunks of metal and moving them near Applejack's barn. "What are you doing?" I asked. "This scrap metal will be useful in my attempt to recreate Gamma." He replied.

I smiled as Omega continued his work. "Sonic. I think you should see this…" I heard Silver say. He handed me a note that read "Dear Sonic, If you're reading this then I have found a way home and left you all there to die… Good luck with that! From, Jet." I crumpled up the note and threw it in a trash can. "That low down scum!" I shouted before turning to face the others. "Not to mention we're down a man then…" Knuckles commented. "Yeah, there's that too… Omega? You think you could get Gamma rebuilt? All him memories intact?" I asked. "Not likely… I can retain his memories of those he had met… But the rest would be forgotten." Omega replied.

"As long as he recognizes us… He should see Shadow as a friend right? Before you destroyed him?" I asked. "Correct. Shadow would be classified as an ally. You… Perhaps not… Data states that you nearly destroyed him on board the Egg Carrier." Omega answered. "Would you be able to tweak that?" "Perhaps…" "Well then you better get started right away… That reminds me… Where is Metal Sonic?" Knuckles asked. Omega pushed open the doors to Applejack's barn and I saw him hanging upside down, swiping at a rope with his metal claws. "Get… Me… Down… I… Am… So… Pissed… Right… Now!" He said between swings. "Omega, did you do this?" I asked. "No, ah' did. Little bugger was annoyin' me." Applejack said.

"Omega cut him down." I ordered, Omega carefully aimed before shooting the rope that held Metal Sonic by his left foot, dropping him to the ground. "Finally! Do you know how long I was up there? I was up there for three days!" He shouted at us. "Sorry, I was so busy I'd forgotten you were even on our team now." I honestly answered. "That's great, so anyone care to tell me what I missed?" He asked. I smiled before filling him in. Metal Sonic turned to face me, "So is she going to be able to walk soon, because according to the data I collected from Buzz-Boomer, we have about three point two months until Eggman's final plan is put into action." Metal Sonic said to me. My right eye started twitching. "You got that information when we beat Buzz-Boomer…? Why did you wait so long to tell us…?" I asked. "Well it was heavily encrypted. So it took a while to break through all the passcodes and such. He's got a dirty trick up his sleeve and it involves all the Elements of Harmony. Not to mention you, Knuckles, Silver, Shadow, and Omega. He's making robotic versions of the Elements, and robotic versions of Silver, Knuckles, and Shadow. Not to mention he's making one for Omega since he lost him, and Metal Sonic 2.0, any more questions smartass?" (That last line is a reference to something, whoever can tell me the reference wins twenty Xeno Tokens! Xeno Tokens are not an actual thing and are for motivational purposes only.)

I frowned at this news, robotic versions of Twilight and the others? That would be tricky… "What happened?!" I heard Twilight shout. I turned to see her in the doorway of the barn. "Heh, Eggman… Wait, you should be in bed." I said, before she smiled and said "It's feeling a lot better, so I'll be fine. Don't worry." It was hard not to be worried, I have feelings towards her… Strong feelings. "Well, I think you should know that Jet ditched us… But Omega is going to start on a replacement." I said to her. She smiled before we moved out of the barn.
