Chapter 16

I leapt to the left as the Manticore's tail nearly impaled me, looking up I jumped into a tree and sat down. I looked at the beast as it circled the trunk of the tree. I looked as the monster attempted to jump at me, but it couldn't reach the height I was at. "You just gonna stay here or what?" I asked it. The Manticore sat down and I realized that it was going to wait for me to come down from the tree. "Please let me go! I've got an important date coming up! I promised Twilight I'd take her out to see a play. So please? Just let me go." I tried pleading, but the beast stayed put.

"Might as well find some way to pass the time…" I said before noticing a branch I picked it up and threw it past the Manticore shouting "FETCH!" It simply stared at me and licked its chops. "So much for that idea…" I muttered. The Manticore never once took its eyes off me, I knew that I was going to be here for a while. A twig snapped which caused the Manticore to focus on the new target, taking the opportunity I ran back to town. "I've still got time to get ready for my date." I said to no one in particular, I ran in the library and got ready, putting on a new pair of gloves and socks, I walked downstairs and saw Twilight waiting. "There you are. You ready to go?" She asked. I nodded before we walked out the door and towards the theatre in the setting sun's pink and orange sky. I saw the theatre in view just as the sun had set, causing me grab onto my stomach in pain. "Sonic!?" Twilight shouted worriedly.

The transformation ended leaving me in my Werehog form. "Twilight… Maybe we should come to a different show hour. I don't think I'd be welcomed like this." I said nervously. "Sonic, I don't care what you look like. Deep in all that fur, hidden behind the teeth, behind those eyes, I see the real you. The hedgehog who I love. I don't care what others think. I love you for who you are." She said to me, I smiled and walked her inside. Several ponies looked at me, and started whispering to each other. I handed a pony our tickets and we sat down on the cushy theatre chairs. Music began to play as the curtain drew apart, signaling the play was about to begin.

-2 Hours Later-

We exited the theater, Twilight was wiping her eyes with a blue handkerchief I had brought with. We moved back to the Library where we found Spike outside looking up at the stars. "Hey, Spike." I said, startling the young dragon. He looked at us and asked "So how was the play?" "It was sad, yet beautiful." Twilight said to him. We went inside and lied down in our beds, ready to start another day.

Sorry that the chapter is so short! I just needed to put in a few quick filler chapters! There will be a change in this story's length it will only be 25 chapters long instead of thirty because I want to get started on the sequel as fast as possible. As you all know I had written a Halloween special that will be shown on the 1st of October. So you can count on that being put out soon. Remember that it is in NO WAY related to the main story. It is extremely gory and fucked up so if you don't like blood, death, or torture don't read it! Once again you can skip it without losing any of the story.
