Hey Guys!

So, this is the penultimate chapter :(

BUT FEAR NOT!

I will be carrying this on later, but I want to do something different, but that doesn't mean I'm abandoning it ;)

Next chapter I will be also be welcoming new ideas for the next series thingy :3

As Clover had gathered her things to leave the hospital, Fellfalls discharge papers had come, and the doctor had brought a large bag of painkillers for the two of them.

"Now, take these once a hour, these twice a day, and these before you go to sleep," Pointing to the many in the bag.

Clover nodded occasionally, giving the odd "yep," of agreement, and when he had left Clover yawned

"So what happens now?" She was tired and hungry from the unfilling meal of the hospital food.

Everyone shrugged

"I honestly don't know," replied her Mother

"I suppose the Princesses will tell us sooner rather than later," Clover replied trotting to the door, the others following.

"Speaking of which," Her Father said in a tone that indicated he had planned out a speech

"Clover, the Princesses wish to see you, I'm not sure what about, however we hope that you will be civil with them, they took a nast-"

Clover sighed. She might as well get this over with.

"Yes, alright I'll go," She mumbled

Her Dad nodded,

"Go on then, we'll see you later," and with that her family smiled and trundled around the corner

Fellfall gave a nod of encouragement before Clover said

"You should probably go with them, it's just tha-"

Fellfall nodded again

"I understand, it'd be awkward?" He laughed

Clover laughed with him until they waved their goodbyes and Clover was left alone as she moved down the hospital corridors.

As she moved further down the corridor, she heard laughter coming from there room, and just as Clover raised a hoof to knock on the door, it was suddenly swung open by a bubblegum pink mare with a huge bubblegum like mane.

Before Clover knew what was going on, she was pushed into the room hearing

"Are you excited! Cause I'm excited I've never-"

"PINKIE!" Came a chorus of laughing voices from around the room

Clover blinked. In front of her was a sight to behold.

In the air 2 pegasi mares floated gently, one with a light pink mane with a creamy yellow coat, whilst her aerial companion was the same cyan blue pegasi she had seen before, Rainbow Dash. On the ground, a strong tan earth pony with a hay yellow mane was pulling back the bubbly pink mare by a lasso. It didn't look too comfortable, but the pink pony was still bouncing happily whilst the sweating mare tried to yank her back.

To the struggling pair's right was a dazzling white unicorn mare with a royal blue mane, which seemed to be not so impressed with the scene next to her, muttering something about decorum, and magically separated the two earth ponies, whilst the air born pegasi chuckled slightly at their antics.

As strange as the situation was to Clover, it wasn't that that drew her attention

But there in the beds were the Princesses

Prince Shining armour was sat next to Princess Cadence, each smiling at each other, the Prince stoking her mane gently. When she walked in he smiled broadly at her, nodding in brief greeting before returning his attention to his injured wife.

Princess Cadence had a similar bandage around her middle to the one of Fellfalls, but not only that, one of her hind legs were in a cast as well as her left wing which hung slightly limp in her plaster cast.

Princess Twilight looked not much better.

Her side was not bandaged like her sister in law, however she was still mottled with bruises, and her foreleg and snout each had a bandage covering them, as well to Clover's dismay, her horn.

A broken horn was one of the most painful things for a unicorn to go through. It was essentially another bone, however, since it was imbued with magic, it became extremely sensitive.

When Princess Twilight spotted Clover she smiled weakly and waved her over to her, an once she was by her bed side she began

"Clover, I'm sorry," The Princess said sincerely

"It's alright-" Clover was interrupted by Princess Cadence shaking her head gently

"No, it's not. We've been told what really happened, and we cannot be sorry enough, as well as grateful," She smiled at her husband

Clover stood slightly abashed, whilst the ponies around her smiled.

Suddenly the door swung forward, a purple dragon carrying some papers walking in muttering

"Damages to the west fields, damages to the east-" He stopped and stared at the ponies in the room, who stared equally at the 3ft dragon

"SPIKE!" The 5 ponies cheered in chorus, and the orange earth mare eventually lost her grip on the pink pony who rushed over to him jumping up and down, pulling him into a big hug.

Soon all 5 of the ponies were hugging the dragon, Rainbow Dash rubbing the top of his head

Clover looked at the scene awkwardly. Now she wished she had brought Fellfall with her. Princess Cadence looked at her before nodding and smiling, and Clover took this as permission that she could go so she quickly trotted out of the door before the bubbly pink mare could squeeze her with one of the killer hugs she was giving Spike, who was turning a rosy shade of red due to lack of air.

Clover walked around a corner, before a voice next to her came

"You did a great thing Clover," Clover looked around, startled.

Clover wasn't quite sure what to say. Yes, the Princess was reunited with friends, many others around Equestria would be doing the same, but Clover felt that something was too unworldly for her.

"Are you sure Princess? Because I don't feel that this is all...right." Clover said quietly, trying to voice her fears.

Princess Luna stood stonily next to her before saying

"Change is a strange thing Clover. We become settled in our lives, and we hope everything will remain the same, but it ultimately will change. The question is, do you change with it?" The Princess said wisely

Clover shook her head

"But this feels too good to be true Princess," She replied anxiously

Luna nodded in understanding

"Sometimes things seem that way, but can we ever expect a good thing to happen if we are constantly suspicious?" She asked

Clover shook her head

Luna smiled slightly

"Clover, do you know what you want?" She asked randomly

Clover paused, trying to think of a decent answer.

"I want to live a normal life. For a while at least," Clover stated rubbing her chin

Luna chuckled

"Yes normality is good for a while, but don't get stuck down by it, It's rarely as fun as it looks," She winked and turned on her hooves and glided down the corridor

Clover stood still for a second, watching the Princess go before heading to the exit were her family and Fellfall awaited her.

Clover listened in on their conversation, which happened to be on her brother's work.

"So, you're a crystal weather pony? What's the difference?" Fellfall asked Markus, who rubbed his chin a bit

"Well, I really work on keeping the weather in the crystal dome sunny, seeing as we live in a constant snowstorm," He chuckled

Fellfall nodded

"What do you do Ferris?" He asked, turning to his darker maned brother

"I make things," He said smugly

"Like what?" Fellfall asked, intrigued

"Like mess," His mother grumbled while Ferris blushed

"I generally make new technology, I've been recently been working on a device that sprinkles water from the ceiling if there is a fire," He said proudly

His Father gave him a scowl

"I thought you gave up that project," He said dangerously

Ferris gave an uneasy laugh

"Why would you want to stop developing that?" Fellfall said honestly

His Father looked angrily over to Ferris

"How do you think he tests it?"

Everyone was silent for a few seconds before Clover coughed

"So, when are we going?" She asked

"Right now by the looks of it," said Ferris, striding over to one of the guards that had just landed outside.

His Father tapped him on the shoulder just as he was going

"Don't think we're done with this," He grumbled

Ferris nodded as he started a conversation with the guard.

When he returned he said

"Ok, there are about 100 reporter ponies out there, they want a picture of you," Ferris asked

Clover sighed

"Fine, let's get this over with," She said walking out with a small smile on her face as light flashed in her eyes. She gave the crowd a small wave before hopping into a chariot with Ferris and Fellfall, whilst Markus and her Mum and Dad jumped into the one next to her as they headed towards the palace.

It was midday at the palace as Clover read the headline of the newspaper in front of her

"NEW PRINCESS ON THE BLOCK?" It read in bold letters, with a picture of Clover smiling emblazoned on the cover.

Clover groaned before she heard a knock at the door, here a guards pony stood

He bowed before relaying his message.

"The Princesses have sent you a telegram your highness," whilst levitating a scroll towards her

Clover thanked the pony, who saluted and left her alone once again

Clover's mouth dropped open in disbelief

It read

Dearest Clover,

We hope that this letter finds you well, the Princess and I are almost about to return to the palace tomorrow if all is well, but that is not what we are here to inform you.

Clover, after a conversation with the Princesses and Princes, we have decided that if you wish you can return to Cloudsdale today. We hope you find this satisfactory,

Sincerely,

Princess Twilight Sparkle.

Clover grinned like a mad pony, before standing up shakily and trotting down to where Fellfalls room was.

She knocked on the door and trotted in to where Fellfall was sitting reading a telegram, with an open maw.

"Fellfall?" Clover asked uncertainly,

Fellfall jumped into the air and fell back down with a groan back onto the sofa

"Clover?" He grumbled

She stumbled over to him

"Are you alright?" She said worriedly

"Yeah, yeah I'm alright," He said sitting up slowly, before brightening substantially

"OH! I just got a telegram from th-"

"Princess? Yeah, me too," She replied, levitating the scroll next to her.

"What did she say to you?" Fellfall asked

Clover relayed the information to Fellfall who sat listening, and once she had finished he nodded

"Well, It's nice they gave you a choice for once," He chuckled

"Hmm," Clover replied

"Are you going then?" He asked

"What?" Clover said questioningly

"To Cloudsdale?" He asked

Clover thought for a bit before replying

"Yes. Yes I think I might, are you coming?"She said turning slightly, and gave him a grin

He looked longingly at the sofa, before sighing

"I think it is time to go home, I think mum might want to see her Gran," He gave a small smile

Clover nodded,

"I'll meet you in an hour," She smiled before limping out of the door, leaving Fellfall alone

Clover looked around her room, gathering her saddle bags and filling them of comforts. It felt like yesterday that she was doing this when she was leaving Canterlot for the first time in her life.

Clover had just said her goodbyes, and was just about to head out to find Fellfall, when she noticed a small book, lying on top of a shelf, a thick layer of dust on it.

Clover's curiosity peaked, and she gave a small sigh of defeat and levitated up the book, shaking of the dust.

Once the dust was gone, Clover smiled at the tiny thing. It was a journal that she got when she was just a filly. Obviously, she hadn't written in it for a very long time, however Clover flicked open the book and read a few chapters of the hardly legible scrawl of writing that slanted down the page.

It wasn't until she reached one of the last few entries that she had truly forgotten about writing. There on the page were a few short sentences of her confusion of her cutie mark, and a little charcoal drawing of it.

Clover closed the journal, and placed it on the bookshelf before pausing and sitting on a chair, where she pulled a box over to her.

Inside were a bundle of small jagged pebbles, two of which Clover pulled out and placed on the desk. It had been a long time since she had done this however.

The doctor had said no large amounts of magic, but Clover had been doing this since she was 5, she knew what she was doing.

A small orb of light burst into existence, which spun slowly for a few seconds before splitting into two image of a sun and moon, which slowly spun pulsating light as it began to envelope the pebbles and with a flash of light, which splintered into fragments.

Clover sighed. It wasn't as if the spell would work differently now, she didn't know what to expect. She levitated the fragments up, when she noticed something strange about them. They seemed to glow, almost like a rainbow.

She lifted them to eye level with her magic and her eyes open wide. The rock was beginning to colour a dusky blue, whilst the other a pale green. After a while it stopped and Clover was left with two oddly coloured rocks.

Clover heard a call from outside her room, and she shoved the rocks into a draw and trotted to where the voice was coming from.

"Clover? Clover, are you ready?" said Fellfall coming around a corner

She nodded and lifted up her saddle bags creakily and they set off to the court yard

"So what now? Are you coming back to school?" Fellfall asked

Clover scoffed

"I don't think I would here the end of it if I didn't," She chuckled

Fellfall seemed quite happy by this reply and was walking backwards and chatting to Clover freely now, until Prince Valorous walked around a corner and Fellfall backed straight into him.

"Umf! Sorry, I didn't see you ther-," He was left mouth wide open as he scurried away from the royal pony that didn't look too pleased

"Your apology has been accepted. Clover," He tilted his head in acknowledgement

"I heard you were returning to Cloudsdale, I wish you best of luck and hope you will take my thanks," He said stonily

"Thank you, what shall you be doing now?" Clover asked

"Well first I shall be making my way towards the Frozen North and Crystal Mountains; I might be gone for some time." He said sighing for no reason

"Well, good luck then," Clover said rubbing the back of her head awkwardly

The stallions' lips twitched into what could be described as a smile, before facing Fellfall

"I understand that it was you who pushed Clover out of the way of what could have the demise of Equestria, please except my thanks," Prince Valorous' horn glowed and Clover heard a small "pop" of Fellfalls' wing straightening, and then felt a bright light behind her eyes and once her sight returned she stared at him.

All of Fellfalls' bruises were gone, a few scratches were left, however his wing and side no longer were mottled with purple colourations and Clover felt a wash of energy come over her, as if the last few days had never had happened.

"Whoa," Fellfall said in awe, flexing his wing experimentally

"Thank yo-" Clover began, but the Prince was gone.

"My wing is healed, look!" Fellfall began excitedly peeling of the bandages

He gave a hesitant flap of his wings, lifting shakily into the air before steadying himself and giving a small twirl mid flight.

"I think there better than ever!" He laughed ecstatically

Clover laughed, and jumped into the air to join him, and before long were zipping down the halls of Canterlot Castle before reaching the courtyard where a chariot lay waiting.

A royal guard approached them and saluted

"Your highness, one of the pegasi guards has sprained is wing and I am afraid he will not be ready for flight," he said bowing

Clover nodded

"That's alright, I think we'll fly today," Clover grinned at Fellfall who looked over mischievously

"Your Highness, I don't thin-," The guard started, but it was too late, they were in the air and were gone.

Clover laughed as they reached the clouds above Canterlot. Fellfall pulled slightly ahead of Clover, who pulled back the ground easily, and flapped her wings harder, putting her ahead of him.

They spiralled out of the city's skies and reached the air above the countryside. They could spot a few Earth ponies harvesting crops, who looked up and waved at the two airborne ponies, who waved back.

"Do you want to race?" Fellfall asked flying up beside her

Clover shrugged, before zipping of between the clouds

"Hey!" Clover heard Fellfalls' voice behind her as she sped up between the clouds. By now, she was surrounded by the thick clouds and laughing as she heard Fellfall trying to catch up to her. Before long she felt a pair of hooves grab her middle and yank her up out of the clouds.

"Hey! Get off!" Clover chuckle as she was set down on the cloud

Fellfall chortled as she squirmed of off the cloud and back into the air

"We're almost there, where do you want to go first?" He asked

Clover thought before replying

"What day is it?" Clover said slowly

Fellfall paused.

"I think it's a-," Fellfall began before a voice above them said

"Saturday!"

Clover and Fellfall looked up confusedly before a head poked out from behind a cloud

Nolan sat grinning above them before floating down and shouted above him

"It is them!" He yelled as Bolt and Breezy leaped of the cloud and landed on theirs

"If it isn't Your Highnesses," Bolt chuckled as the three bowed low, trying to suppress a giggle

"Hey! I'm not royalty!" Fellfall said offended

"No, but you'll be made a Prince when you get married," Breezy sniggered, behind him Bolt pretended to be running in slow motion shouting a deep "Nooooooo," over to Nolan who put a hoof to his head as if he was going to faint

Fellfall glowered, until Clover looked playfully over to him, and with her magic, suddenly a pink frilly dress appeared on Breezy who gave an outraged cry as her tried to struggle out of the garment, causing Clover and Fellfall to start laughing as Bolt tried to yank it off causing him to trip and fall face first into Nolan.

Once the lot f them had calmed down and Breezy was suitably out of the dress, they sat down on the clouds

"But seriously, what went on out there Clover?" Bolt asked curiously

Clover sighed, and together Fellfall and Clover began to recite what happened over the last couple of days, getting a few gasps from there willing audience of three.

Once they had finished, they sat in silence for a while before a grumble came from Bolt's direction

"So do we actually have to call you princess or what?" He began

Clover laughed

"You know what? I think I'm going to be telling a lot of ponies no to that," She chuckled

So there it is guys!
