Hey Guys!

So I feel like I've neglected you somewhat, so to make up for it, here is another chapter on the same day :D

Clovers head spun. She saw flashes of nurses and guards ponies, even at one point seeing her family. Clover drifted from mild consciousness to unconsciousness.

When, finally Clovers body did not feel like it was weighted down she opened her eyes slowly, light coming through the shades. Clover could hear the beeps of a machine, and felt something in her arm.

Clover sat up groggily. It felt like she had run a marathon whilst fighting a ten ton hydra as she peered over to her arm, poking the needle that lay inside her gently.

She heard sounds of arguing outside,

"No, she needs her rest!" A nurse's voice said

"She's asleep! I won't be disturbing her!" A frazzled voice came out

Clover yanked out the needle and marched to the door, pulling it open

"Well now you have!" Clover said menacingly, before seeing who it was

Fellfall stood stunned; a large bandage around his torso, but that did not cover all the bruising. His right wing was in a cast, the tips of his feathers slightly crooked.

"Clover! You shouldn't be walking!" Fellfall said worriedly, limping up to her

Clovers head spun at the new angle of "standing," and stumbled slightly before muttering

"You're telling me," As the nurse helped her back into her bed, Fellfall snuck in behind her.

"Alright, since she's up and it keeps you out of my hair," The nurse sighed before walking out of the room.

Fellfall gingerly took the spare bed next to her before Clover asked

"What happened to me? Are you alright?" She said with a mixture of curiosity and guilt

Fellfall looked startled

"Don't you remember?" He asked worriedly

Clover shook her head

"I remember dismissing the darkness, but after that it's just a blur, something to do with a rainbow?" She said her face a picture of concentration

Fellfall shook his head

"I've been told what happened by a few visitors, but I doubt that it's all fact," He mused

Clover laughed, but her head reeled at the action.

"So, are you alright?" Clover asked again

Fellfall scoffed

"It'll take more than a big beasty to take me down!" He said shaking a fist in the air, making his voice comically deep

Clover raised an eyebrow at him

Fellfall laughed at her before asking more seriously

"Do you know what that thing was Clover?" he asked timidly now. Obviously Fellfall wasn't holding up as well as he made out.

"Malice. Pure Malice," Clover said bluntly

Fellfall scratched his chin

"I've never heard of it," Fellfall mused "How do you know?" He asked curiously

Clover sat and pondered for a while, before saying

"I'll tell you later, right now I have a question," Clover asked

"What?" Fellfall asked, slightly put out

"How long was I out for?" She said worriedly

Fellfall looked down before saying quietly

"3 days, no one knew what had happened, but they suspect magic exhaustion,"

"Three days! Oh my gosh, I haven't eaten in three days!" Clover exclaimed

Fellfall could only stare for a second and laugh as Clover looked hungrily over at him

"Hey! Remember, friends don't eat each other!" He said through chortles

Clover harrumphed

"So when can I get out of here?" Clover asked excitedly

"Today probably, they will have to do some checks, but yeah," Fellfall said quickly

They sat in silence for a while

"Thanks by the way," Clover smiled

Fellfall looked confused

"For what?" he asked

"For taking probably the biggest punch of all time for me," Clover laughed

Fellfalls chest inflated, but probably not as much as his ego

"No problem, the doctors said that if you hadn't have healed my wounds, I probably would have been 6ft under by now," Fellfall joked

"Well I guess we both are even," Clover added

"Yeah," He finished

Soon, a nurse walked in with two trays of food for the two of them, and Clover ate with gusto, whilst Fellfall pushed some sticky thing around his plate.

"Ar yu going t' ea tha?" Clover asked with a mouthful of something that glued her mouth almost shut.

Fellfall pushed his plate away

"Be my guest," He added disgusted

Clover finished his meal as well before standing up steadily

"Hey hey hey!" Fellfall said in protest, but Clover waved him off, she felt fine enough

"Come on slow poke!" Clover laughed

Fellfall grumbled, but eventually joined her in their little walk.

Clover poked her head out of the door to see a guard or two in the corridor. Clover sighed slightly, before pushing open the door

The guards looked at her before saying in a military tone

"I have instructions from the Princesses not to let you leave the hospital," He said with a salute

Fellfall limped up to him before saying

"I don't think she wants to, and trust me, she would get very far if she tried," He put bluntly

Clover glared but the guard pondered this for a second before waving a few guards down a hallway

"Alright, but we have guards at the entrance," He said finally saluting

The duo limped down the halls, to where even more guards were stationed

"Who's in here?" Clover asked with wonder

Fellfall looked at the guards before saying

"The princesses, they took a nasty fall," He stated

"Are they alright?" She asked worriedly

"Yes, there awake, but won't be active for a while," He said solemnly

Clover sighed, but they moved on don the corridors, before Fellfall insisted they head back to her room.

When they returned the guard nodded towards them, before saying

"Miss Night, your family is here to see you, shall I let them pass?" He asked

Clover nodded before pushing open her door, and crawling into her bed

Eventually, her door burst open, as her family filed into the room her mother flew up to her and smothered her with kisses

"You're alright! Oh, it's our entire fault, but you're alright!" He mother said through tears

Clover chuckled before saying

"It wasn't your fault mum!" She said wriggling under her hug,

"No, but we read your letter to the Princess, I'm sorry Clover," Ferris said walking towards her bed

Clover nodded

"I forgive you," She murmured

Her family nodded with approval, even Markus was there. It appeared he had flown all the way from the crystal empire, judging from his messy mane and flying goggles

Another knock came at the door, and Clover shouted to come in

The door opened as 4 figures walked in to the room.

Everyone gasped

Princess Celestia, Princess Luna, Prince Valorous and Prince Concord glided into the room, a slight mist around them.

"Your Highnesses," Clover bowed to them

The four broke out a smile and chuckled

"Well done Clover, we knew you would do it," Princess Luna stated happily

"Yes, congratulations are in order," Prince Concord said merrily, the rest chuckling behind him

Clover looked around the room. Her family stared gobsmacked at the declared deceased royalty in front of them.

At the sight of the royal ponies, images spilled into her mind. Memories which didn't feel like her own, like they belonged to another person. Did she really do that?

"Ah," Princess Celestia said looking around the room "I do believe explanations are in order," And the Royalty began to explain what they had told Clover in her dream.

Once they had finished, the family stared at them even more

"So, you said that the passed on could come back? Like zombies?" Fellfall asked worriedly, but nevertheless in awe of his royal idles.

"No Fellfall," Princess Luna joked "The zombies in your dreams are just fantasy," she winked at him as Fellfalls jaw dropped

"No, they come back as whole as they have always been, at whatever age they desire, they can even return to the astral plain if they want for a while," Princess Concord confirmed

"And Clover made this all possible?" Her father said in awe

The alicorns nodded

"Ever since her cutie mark appeared, she was destined to open the gate way between us,"

Clovers mouth dropped. Her cutie mark, the exact same shape as the magic that banished Malice.

"So, let's say in theory, my great, great grandma could come back, could she be the same age as me?" Fellfall said curiously

"Already have squirt!" A voice came from outside as a cyan blue pegasus with a rainbow mane floated into the room, followed by a white pegasus with a dark blue mane.

Fellfall's jaw hit the ground as she landed next to him

"What? Too young?" She said as she morphed into an older version of her life

"Oh boy," Fellfall said, clutching at the bed rest, trying not to fall over in shock.

She laughed, before saying to the Princesses

"I think the other princesses might want to see you your highnesses" She said with respect

The Royal Pony Sisters smiled before bidding farewell, the Royal Pony Brothers following as well, Rainbow Dash in hot pursuit.

They sat in silence for a while before a guard marched into the room.

"Your Highness," He bowed low, leaving Clover startled

"We have been informed that you can now be discharged, however we must insist on a royal escort back to the palace," He said humbly

Clover nodded, she was starting to get annoyed by the beeps of the machine next to her.

"Are they coming with me?" She asked indicating to her family and Fellfall

He bowed and saluted

"We will have it all arranged your highness," Before exiting

Once he had gone Fellfall asked

"Will that happen...often?" He said curiously

"What?" Clover replied

"The 'Your Highness'" He scoffed slightly

Clover grumbled silently

"I certainly hope not," She muttered
