My Little Pony: A New Start
Chapter 23: 23. Meeting Ella Part Two
Previous Chapter Next ChapterHello once again! Sorry for the two or so months of not updating this story, it took me a while! So I hope you like it, it took a bit of creativity to make this work, and I have plans for one more chapter (see the end for more details for this story) and I plan to introduce Discord on the scene.
He will be reformed, but still a jerk like he usually is. So I wonder what kind of things he can do with Marshall. I already have one idea of him turning Marshall into a child! Just an idea, so anything goes!
If you have an idea for what shenanigans Discord can get up to, PM it to me, or leave it in a review!
Ella stared at me with disbelief, her two different coloured eyes were locked to mine as she slowly shook her head. "N- No... I... I didn't do anything!" I took a couple deep breaths, hoping to calm myself down and let my rational thoughts take hold again. I sheathed my sword, sitting in the chair I was just in and put my face in my hands. Was he bluffing? I doubt he had the whole Griffin army outside... But still... A threat was a threat... But what did he want... I pulled my head up an inch, my eyes going over to the teary eyed griffin. Ella... I was torn, my home, my friends, my... Girls... Were all in danger. But I couldn't just give her up, and let her be killed.
"Ella..." She didn't say anything, she just slowly nodded as I spoke. "Go the the library, go into the basement and lock yourself in. Don't come out until I go there and get you out... I have to go. We won't go down without a fight." She nodded and I stood up, my gaze resting on the guards, all had worried expressions. "Don't worry, none shall die on my watch. More guards will be sent ASAP, so hold positions until then." With that, they nodded and trotted off, heading to what I presume was to plan things out. My eyes then trailed up to the mountain town of Canterlot, the castle that my friends were in hung off the side. I readied my magic to teleport when I was gripped from behind.
I looked back, Ella was completely broken down, tears matted her fur on her cheeks and she stuttered. "I- I'm so... Sorry... It- It..." I turned around and bent down, allowing myself to be at a lower level to her and I hugged her tightly.
"Ella, I know. I will handle this, I always do." With that, she pushed herself back, staring into my eyes. Her two different coloured ones watered a little as I spoke. She bit her lip before throwing her arms around my neck and kissed me hard. I was surprised by her actions, my hands going to her sides to try and push her away. She held fast, her grip was strong and her lips moved against mine. I gave up, my mind was too weak to find any reason why I should break it, so I started kissing her back. She moaned a little as her lips parted, mine following and her long pointed tongue slithered and touched my own.
It was different, kissing her then a pony, they had smaller flatter tongues, but hers was long and pointy, but still similar to my own. After a minute, I pushed her back, allowing me to take in a couple breaths. She was flustered, a look on her face that made me forget for a split second, the danger that I was in. "Marshall... You are the greatest man alive." And with that, she left, leaving me to take her words deep into my mind and take in what she said. I felt a small lift in me, a sense of pride at my actions. I shook this from my mind, trying to get back on track to what I needed to do. I took a deep breath, stood up and felt the magic begin to flow. I concentrated, picturing the castle in Canterlot and felt my body get pulled hard.
Once I let go, I made sure I was still standing, the marble floor was polished to a shine, that I swear I could see the ceiling in it. I looked up, nopony around at all and I sighed. "Where is everypony?" My voice was the only thing that answered me, the sound echoing off the empty corridors. I walked around a little, keeping an ear out for any voices when I barely managed to pick up a voice.
"You want to what?!" It was faint, but I knew it was Twilight. I soon found a door and opened it a little tiny bit, allowing me to peek inside. The mane six were there, along with Celestia, Luna and Princess Cadance.
"I know, it pains me to say this as well but..." Celestia began before Luna cut her off.
"Thy sister! Thou did not come to me for an agreement!" Luna resorted to her old talking ways that I heard bits and pieces of in my time here. Celestia just glared at her, her eyes full of hurting.
"Because you would of went against me dear sister." All eyes went to Celestia.
"Thou is correct! He is very dear to me! Along with almost everypony else in the room!" Luna stood up, taking a couple steps back.
"Sister please, just listen to me. It would only be for a short while I promise. But right now we have something big on our hooves, and although he makes in through in the end, I fear this may be too big a task for him to handle." My heart beat was in my head, she was talking about me I knew it.
"And how the buck do you know what we got 'on our hooves'?" Rainbow was flying a couple feet off the ground, her limbs hanging limply down and Celestia took a big sigh.
"There is a wanted griffin criminal sitting in the basement of the library as we speak. A griffin unit is stationed outside the view of Ponyville ready to attack at any moment. Marshall pissed off the leader, is protecting Ella as she is called, and is now standing outside the door, peeking inside, and listening to our conversation." Damn Tia, you're good. All the ponies gasped and I ended the ruse and opened the door, all eyes going to me.
There was a huge silence, my eyes locked to Celestia's, all ponies were quiet as we had out little stare down. "Tia." I said after a couple moments and she narrowed her gaze.
"Marsh." Other then that, I swear you could of heard a pin drop in the room, or the gentle breathing of everypony, and tell the differences between them! After a couple more seconds of silence Celestia tried to break the silence. "Marshall, I know your heart in in the right place, but she is..."
"An amazing being." I cut her off, the girls gasping lightly but it was Twilight who gasped loudest. Celestia sat there, a dumbfounded look on her face as I interrupted her, my voice cold as ice. "She has been on the run for too long now, just for being who she is. They want her dead just because she is half-griffin, and half-dragon." Fluttershy turned a little pale and bit her lower lip. "And their way to carry it out? Death by stoning." Everypony gasped again besides Celestia and Fluttershy fainted only to be caught by Twilight. "She came into Ponyville to find a sanctuary, and it is my sworn duty to protect all who cannot protect themselves, unless you have forgotten that, Princess Celestia." She stood up, spreading her wings wide and she gritted her teeth.
"How dare you speak to me like that! I thought you knew better Marshall!" She calmed down a bit, her wings still spread wide as she spoke, trying to look more intimidating. "And the needs of the few, DO NOT out weigh the needs of the many. My subjects shall not be harmed trying to protect a foreign criminal!" All eyes were on us, even Luna looked scared and I felt my anger flare and my own wings spread, my wingspan was a bit wider then hers was as I stood a couple inches taller then her.
"She is not a criminal Celestia, she is just like anyone of us. She is on her last leg, it's either I fight for her protection, or I give up who I am and let her die." Celestia's wings came down a little, her expression softening a little. "I have sworn to protect all in Ponyville, foreign beings or not. If you won't send protection to Ponyville, I will face them myself, without your help." And with that, I removed my ring and sword before dropping both to the floor. "And I am no longer your precious protector." And with that, I left, making my way to the entrance.
The walk didn't take long, the layout of the castle was almost burned into my memory as I made my way into the main hall. I was almost out when feint hoofsteps made my ears twitch and a voice rang through the hall. "Wait!" I stopped, looking over my shoulder at Princess Celestia. I didn't move as she came closer before stopping about ten feet from me. "Marshall... I'm..." She began but I put my hand up, and to my surprise, she stopped.
"Celestia, I am the one who is sorry." She actuality looked kind of shocked as I said that. "But she needs my helps, I was the first to accept who she was, and the first to stand up for her. I don't have many choices anymore, and I can't let anything happen to Ponyville, but I can't give her up Celestia." The Princess took a deep breath before she approached me, a glint of anger behind her eyes.
"I will send more troops to Ponyville, ONLY to protect it. You are on your own. If you fail, she will be given up. I can't let any harm come to my own subjects." She then narrowed her eyes. "And if you ever speak to me like that again, by Faust I will strike you down before you even can take a single breath." I was a little shocked, I had gone off on the frigging Princess of the Sun, I'm surprised she didn't banish me to the moon already.
I took a deep breath and reached out, trying to calm her down. "Celestia..." She then threw me against the wall with her magic, pinning me to it before getting right up in my face.
"You do not touch me. You have disgraced me in front of my most loyal subjects, and my own sister!" She hissed at me, only loud enough for me to hear. She seemed to be a little distracted before looking over her shoulder then turned around and locked lips with me. "Mmm." She immediately drove her tongue into my mouth and ground it against my own.
My eyes went wide as she kissed me deeply, the blush on her cheeks stood out on her white coat. Soon she pulled back panting, her mouth lightly open and her eyes were glossy. "Celestia?" Was all I could manage to say and she smirked deviously.
"And it turned me on so much. When you towered over me, I felt so weak and vulnerable." She nipped my neck before setting me back down. "I have never felt like that, I am the princess after all and nopony has made me feel so helpless before." I felt a grin come on, but I managed to hide it as I played into a ruse.
I then stood up, her gaze going up to me as I walked within a couple inches of her. "Then return my gear, send the troops and I will handle everything Princess, and I won't have to hurt you." She bit her lip, her cheeks flaring and her rump shivered a little. I just smiled and leaned forward, whispering into her ear. "Unless you like that." She nipped my ear and shivered.
"I love it. One you are done, I request your presence in the castle at your nearest availability, I can hardly wait Marshall. Just show up, dominate me and ravish my body Marshall." I grinned and gripped her right wing base.
"You can count on it." I then pulled back and she levitated me my ring and sword and I took both, putting my ring on and strapped my sword to myself. "I shall see you later..." I then took a deep breath and whispered to myself. "I hope." She nodded before turning around and I waited before I spoke again. "Celestia..." She tuned her head around and raised and eyebrow. "I know that you know I might not make it back from this, but tell the girls that I will always love them, and hopefully we shall meet again someday. I can't imagine life without them, but I have to do this." She nodded, a single tear welling up in her right eye. "Let them know that I died fighting for what I believed in, and that they are always, on my mind." With that I left the castle, leaving Celestia standing there as that tear fell from her eye and onto the marble floor.
Rain. It was pouring pretty hard, the streets of Canterlot were empty as I made my way to the train station. I had time left to try and get a good rest and perhaps some food. I didn't want to fly home as the winds were strong and unpredictable. Teleportation would only drain my energy and I needed it all. As I got onto the train and found an empty cabin, I sat down on one side of the benches and put my hands in my face. I'm sorry girls, I wish I could of said goodbye. I
thought when another voice spoke out in my head. "Don't worry Marshall, I have confidence you will be alright." I looked up, but I was still alone, the voice seemed familiar to me. Luna? I asked to be responded to with giggles and another voice came in.
"We both have faith in you Marshall." I rolled my eyes. Celestia, Luna... What are you doing in my thoughts? Both mares giggled and another voice went into my head.
"Hello!" I closed my eyes and sighed. Cadance? What are you doing in there? There was a fit of giggles coming from the three alicorns when another voice spoke up.
"Marshall, me and the girls wanted to let you know we will be by your side, no matter what, and you... Can always count on us to help you, as you have done so for us." I opened my eyes and turned my head to the door, and there they stood. Purple, white, pink, yellow, orange, and blue. My girls, even Fluttershy had a small smile on her muzzle as they all grinned.
"Girls..." I then thought back to what Celestia said and I sighed. "I have to do this alone." They all gasped before Rainbow flew forward, her forelegs pushed out and she stopped in front of me.
"Are you off your rocks! You are facing griffins... GRIFFINS, they aren't cuddly I can tell you that." Twilight then trotted over and nodded.
"Rainbow has a point. Griffins are ruthless and brutal. And there is more then one of them." Applejack then came forward and smiled.
"It's our home too partner, and I know for myself, I don't want anythin bad happening to ya." It was then Rarity that stepped forward.
"You mean so much to us now, I can't even bear the thought of losing such a wonderful and amazing being like yourself." Pinkie Pie then walked over, her usual smile was gone and was replaced with the most serious face ever.
"You changed our lives Marshall, you have shown us that friendship can come from unlikely places." She then grinned and closed her eyes. "Besides! What if I need music for a party?!" Fluttershy then walked over, her head hung low and the others stepped to the sides a little.
"Please let us help. If we were to lose you again, I don't think any of us could handle it. You made us better friends then we were before. You showed that even somepony who is even a different species, can bring friends even closer together then any of us thought possible." As she spoke, her head came higher and higher as she fully stood up. "Even the Elements of Harmony don't bring us together like you do. You have elements of all of us in you. Kindness."
"Honesty."
"Loyalty."
"Generosity."
"Laughter."
"And Magic." Twilight finished. "You are an important person in our lives, and all of us couldn't forgive ourselves if you went alone." I just sat there, letting their words sink in. "So please, let us help you." I looked around, to all their faces, only having to adjust my eyes to Rainbow since she was hovering. My brain then went into overdrive, devising a plan to let them help, and hopefully diffuse the situation.
"Alright... But here is the plan. Rainbow, Applejack and Twilight, you will be the only ones fighting if need be. Fluttershy is head medic, Rarity is your nurse. Pinkie, you will be in charge of making sure we have provisions." They all looked at each other before they all nodded before Pinkie raised her hoof like a filly in school.
"What are you going to do?" I smiled weakly and gulped.
"I will be the one fighting, I will propose his best, versus our best. That is why I said you three will only fight if need be. If I do fail and fall in combat, you will have no choice but to give Ella up." I then sighed, looking out the window. "Now we should arrive in a couple hours, I suggest getting some sleep." The girls whispered between each other before they all group hugged me. I didn't return wanting to be left alone and they caught on.
"Good night Marshall." They all eventually said before leaving the train car and soon the only sound was the train thundering down the tracks. I put my hands in my face, letting my emotions go and I started to cry.
"This is it... I'm fucked..." I felt alone, just how I wanted to be at the moment and wallow in my own despair. I then stood up, wiping my face and went to the door on the other side of the train car, looking back before I stepped outside into the cold night. "I love you girls like you couldn't imagine. It hurts me to have to lie to you girls, but you are too important to so many." I then thought about their dreams. "Twilight, I hope you gain all the knowledge you need for magic. Fluttershy, I hope you can spread your kindness to animals everywhere. Pinkie, continue to spread your joy to all the world. Rarity, I hope you continue your passion and can even create dresses for the princess some day. Rainbow, I hope you get into the Wonderbolts, maybe one day you will be the captain. And Applejack, I know raising Apple Bloom and making sure you get by is hard, but you're doing great."
I sighed. "The Cutie Mark Crusaders... I wish I could be there to see all of you get your cutie marks, and grow into the mares you will eventuality become, perhaps following in your idols hoofsteps, or going out on your own to see what the world has to offer." I felt a tear run down my face. "I love you all." I then closed my eyes and my hand glowed as I readied a teleportation spell.
I felt the familiar pull and I opened my eyes to find myself in the dark library. I looked around, the place looked the same as I left it, besides a lump laying on the sitting area. I walked over, my heart going up in my throat as I saw who it was. Ella... I sighed and pulled the blanket up to her chin, a small smile spreading on her muzzle and I got up and turned towards the door. "I will do all I can to protect you Ella." And with that, I left, stepping out into the pouring rain. I needed some time to think before I set out, so I wondered the streets in hopes of calming my nerves and clearing my mind.
I looked around the dark town, all the good memories flooded my mind. A small smile formed on my face, me and the girls had a bunch or adventures here. I past Rarity's boutique, remembering back to the first time I went in there. It was my first official day I believe, the same day as my welcome to Ponyville party thrown by our very own party pony, Pinkie. That crazy mare.
I then continued around, spotting the area that Sweet Apple Acres occupied, although it was really dark so I the only thing I could make out was the barn. Once I reached the main square, I noticed the path that lead to Fluttershy's house, for a timid mare, she lived pretty close to the Everfree forest. I made my way back around, my gaze on the sky trying to spot Rainbow's house, but it was completely invisible to me right now. Knowing her, if she was here. This storm would of been an amazing one. I then made my way back round to the library, stepping up the steps and back inside.
Once I was back inside, I made my way to my room, completely ignoring Ella as she snored lightly on the sitting area. Once in my room, I stripped and set my alarm to be up earlier then the other girls could get here. Once set, I pulled the covers up and closed my eyes, my tired body took no time getting to sleep.
Back on the train, a couple hours later, Twilight's perspective...
I opened my eyes, yawning a little before I ruffled my wings a little. "Twilight!" My eyes snapped open and I rolled out of the bed and onto the floor, grumbling a little and I saw Rainbow floating above me.
"Rainbow? Where's the fire?" I said sleepily and she bit her lip, looking on the edge of tears and I got to my hooves.
"It's Marshall... He's gone." I gasped, my heart sank and I shook my head just as the train rolled to a stop at the train station. I then ran under Rainbow and out the door and outside. "Twilight!" Rainbow called out and I noticed the others were on the station, standing there as I ran past them.
"Twi where are ya-" Applejack started but I ignored her and ran to the library, tears falling down my face as I neared it, the other girls following close behind. I burst inside, somepony gasped and fell to the floor. I ran up to her and I guess she was Ella.
"Where is Marshall!" She was dazed and shook her head.
"I dunno! I haven't seen him in a while!" She said and tried to become smaller, my eyes scanning the room for any sign of him.
"Twilight... I think you need to see this." Applejack said and I turned around, a note laid on the counter and I lifted it up with my magic and read it aloud.
"Dear girls, I'm sorry that I left without you. But I can't let anything happen to you. I'm sorry, but plans change. I have left and will be taking the griffin's on alone, me versus their best. From what I know they are honourable, so I can only hope they keep their end of the deal up. But if I fail, they will take Ella and my body back to their kingdom, most likely keeping it as a prize. So I left you the only personal thing I could leave you girls, just don't go losing it ok? Love, Marshall..." I then looked at the counter, my heart sank and I dropped the note. There laying on the counter, was a small barbell with black balls... His tongue piercing... I sat down, the tears flowed freely and I started to quietly sob. I felt hooves wrap around me, the room filled with the sniffles of all of us for a short while when a small know came at the door.
"Open up! We're here for Ella!" My eyes flew open and I gasped as I looked over at the... Disgusting half breed bitch.
The girls let go and I walked over to her and hissed. "You fucking bitch, you got our best friend killed! Get out before I kill you myself!" She flinched, tears welling up in her own eyes and she lowered her head before walking towards the door.
Once there she stopped and turned around, sniffing lightly. "I'm sorry, I never wanted it to-" I spread my wings and snarled at her.
"Marshall meant nothing to you! You don't get to be sorry! By the Princess of Magic, I order you to stay out of here and never return!" She gasped, her jaw open wide, even the other girls were surprised at me. She took that as a signal to get the heck out. Once the door was closed, I turned around and tucked my wings back to myself, calming down and felt the tears drip off my chin. "Girls, I need to be alone for now." I heard their hooves click against the floor as they walked out and I immediately fell to the floor and covered my eyes with my forelegs and broke down.
Outside of Ponyville, Marshall...
"Have you made your decision general?" I asked and he smirked and nodded before he stepped forward.
"I will be fighting you Marshall. One on one. When I win, we get Ella." He smirked and I nodded.
"And when I win, you leave Ponyville and Ella alone!" I drew my sword, staring him down as a small wind blew across the field where we stood. We stood for a while, eye to eye, not one of us moving as we studied the other intently, when he finally broke the silence.
"You carry much confidence in you Marshall. Your defence is impeccable, your eyes not moving, looking for the slightest movement in me to react and strike. You have the eyes of a killer Marshall, you enjoy the crimson blood running down your blade, the cries of agony and hearing the last breath your victim takes." I felt a bead of sweat run down my face when his eyes went a little wide. "You are a killer, I can see it in your eyes. You killed before, you had revenge on someone, they took something away from you." I felt my heart speed up, my mouth slightly open to intake breath better.
"Y-You shut it. You had no idea what they did." I swallowed the saliva in my mouth. "They took her away from me, they took her away..." I then clenched my teeth and my left hand. "They got what was coming to them."
The griffin then smirked and chuckled lightly. "And you killed them in cold blood Marshall, admit it. You are more like us then you think, yo-."
"Shut up! I am nothing like you!" I said, interrupting him. "They deserved to die! They killed an innocent girl, and I won't let you do the same thing." I then barred my teeth. "So stop standing there stalling, and fight me coward!" He snarled and charged at me, my right leg slid across the dirt a little, giving me a better stance.
He came in, spear in hand as he flew close to the ground and went on a direct course for me. My left hand glowed a light red as I made my wings appear, they would prove useful in the battle. Once he was a couple feet from me, I jumped up and stabbed downwards, hoping to hit him but he dodged to his right, my left, and kicked off the ground and came for me. I clashed my sword with his spear, his face right in mine, but he was using two hands and I still had one free. I first headbutted him, making him fly back a little and I punched the dazed griffin right in the gut. I then did a back flip and kicked him in the back of the head, right over top of him and sent him tumbling to the ground.
He put his hands on the ground, catching himself and he flipped over, looking back at me, a single line of blood coming off his forehead where I hit him. He just smiled and I took the offensive this time, coming in low and I knew he would go up, and when he did that I teleported behind him, preparing a strike for his back. He barely managed to move, a small line of fur was cut off as I came close to hitting him. He swung his spear at me, and hit me right in the side, sending me to the ground. I grunted in pain as the wooden shaft hit me in the ribs and I looked up, the ground coming closer and closer and I put my left hand out. I felt the dirt on my hand, my arm slightly bending and I rolled to my feet, skidding to a halt and whipped my head around so I could see if the griffin.
He came at me fast, more so then I thought and got a punch to the mouth, making me fall to my back and skid across the ground for a couple feet. I groaned, my mouth hurt like mad and I rolled over just in time to avoid his spear stabbing into the ground. I got to my feet, something was in my mouth and I spit it out into my hand. A tooth... Fuck that hurts. I guess I wore those braces for nothing. I put the tooth into my pocket and readied a stance, my jaw almost numb from the pain.
He pulled his spear out of the ground and I took the opportunity to attack, slicing horizontally across his back. He yelped it pain before he moved and I saw a splash of blood catch my blade before it followed in a line. I looked at him, his left wing hung limply at his side, blood dripping from it and I smirked. That will help a little, slow him down some. His anger flared and I knew it, he was a lose cannon now as he attacked me with sluggish swings, his slower movement allowed me to dodge easily, and his over swing was leaving him open to small hits from my knees and hands.
"Stand still!" He growled in frustration and swung at me again. I sliced, cutting his spear in half, his eyes going wide as his weapon turned to nothing more then a small stick. He dropped what was left and I kicked him in the back leg, putting my left hand on his shoulder and I brought my sword up, ready to delve the finishing blow. He closed his eyes, waiting for me to kill him, my breaths coming in harder and I thought for just a moment, my sword arm coming down a little and I pushed him back.
His eyes shot open, looking at me, silence all around. "I won. Now stay in the Griffin empire, and leave Equestria alone." He looked shocked before he got to his feet and shook his head.
"This only ends when one of us, lays in his own blood." I sighed and stood up, noticing in the background a couple griffins and... Ella?! He must of taken her to ensure I held my end of the deal. I sighed and looked at him.
"I don't want to kill you. Leave me and Ella alone and you shall live." He snarled and charged at me. I quickly side stepped and booted him in the side. He then came at me again but I jumped over him, landing behind him. I was caught off guard as I heard him pick something up and I turned around, my arm going to his as the spear head was inched from my neck.
"You... Will... Die..." He grunted as he tried to over muscle me, but I just smirked and waved my sword a little and stabbed. His resistance stopped, his eyes going wide as I withdrew my sword and I pushed him back. He was bleeding, but I purposefully avoided any critical organs so he could live. He put one claw to his wound, standing on his hind legs before he threw the spear head at me and I narrowly missed, the blade cutting my cheek a little. I turned back, my own anger flaring as I stepped closer and I was about to stab him again, ending his retched life when a voice stopped me.
"Wait!" I stopped, my eyes staring straight ahead as I recognized that voice. I turned around, and there she stood. Gilda. "We give up. We will leave you, Ella, and Equestria alone." I was speechless as she approached me, sticking a claw out to me which I hesitantly took. "You are a great man Marshall. And we are forever thankful that you would spare the life of our leader." She smiled as did I. I felt something move behind me and I smirked, knowing just what he was going to do.
I took a deep breath, my hand glowing as his hand stopped, his grunts filling my ears as he tried to remove his hand from my magics grasp. I turned around, his other hand going for me and I grabbed that in my magic as well. "Trying to attack me, when my back is turned. I gave you the oppertuinty to leave with your life. But I could quickly take that away." I threw him to the ground, his eyes wide as he looked at me. Ella shook her way into the circle and she hugged me tightly, making my tired body fall to one knee.
I just stood up, looking down at the fallen griffin and grit my teeth. "Leave, now. I gave you one chance, don't make me regret it." And with that, me and Ella left, a whole detachment of Griffins standing there, jaws on the floor as we just walked back towards Ponyville.
Outside the Library, Rainbow's view.
I sat there on my haunches, watching the others walk away. "Come on! There is now way he would go that easily!" They all stopped, but the only one that turned around was Applejack.
"I'm sorry sugarcube, but they came for the girl, you knew what that meant." She was right, but I just couldn't give up. I snarled and trotted over to the farmpony.
"We can't give up! There has to be-." Applejack put her hoof on my shoulder and sighed, looking me right in the eye.
"Rainbow. We all don't want this to be true, but it seems that's what happened. I'm sorry, but I think we all need a little time alone, before we can figure out something for a burial." My heart sank lower, a couple tears running down my cheeks and I backed up a little.
"I... I can't... Fluttershy, we have to..." She looked at me, her eyes were gloomy and devoid of life. I felt... I couldn't even describe it, but I knew they were in the same position as I was. I closed my eyes and hung my head before I felt my emotions let go as I started to quietly cry. I sniffled, keeping my nose clear as I tried to breath, warm tears falling from my face.
The other girls were silent. This had to of been the first time I cried in front of them, and I know I would of been speechless. I just couldn't help it, Marshall has changed me. He showed me its ok to show a little emotion from time to time. He helped me get into the Wonderbolts! But I would throw it all away, I would even give up my wings just to have him back. "He can't be gone... He just can't be..." I then felt a pair of hooves wrap themselves around me, then another and another, then after a couple seconds the last pair of hooves wrapped themselves around my body.
We sat there for who knows how long, but soon I felt a weird sensation on my cutie marks. I opened my eyes, to see all of our cutie marks glowing a little. It didn't hurt, but a feeling of... easiness came in me. "He's alive..." I said and the other girls let go, looking at me with blank expressions. "He's alive, can't you feel it?"
Applejack blinked a couple times and she slowly nodded. "I can... I can feel it."
Pinkie Pie teared up and she smiled and nodded quickly. "So can I, I feel it Dashie!"
I looked over at Fluttershy, her eyes returned to their normal looked and she smiled a little. "Me too."
"I can as well." Rarity looked towards the library and the door kicked open, Twilight standing there, her wings spread wide.
"Girls! Marshall is..." She said and we all said the same thing at the same time.
"Alive!" I felt my heart pound quicker as I took to the sky. "Marshall's alive!" I yelled at the top of my lungs and I swooped back down, staring Twilight in the eye. "We gotta find him!" I was super excited and could barely hold it in.
"I'm over here Rainbow." My wings stopped flapping and I fell to my rump and turned my head, my jaw opening as he came around the corner. He was a little scratched up, that silly smile still on his face and... Ella was standing beside him.
Marshall's point of view.
I was just around the corner when I heard Rainbow said. "We gotta find him!"
I then came around the corner and smiled. "I'm over here Rainbow." They all turned around, jaws open and eyes were wide as I turned the corner. Rainbow was the first to move, almost too fast for me to see as she tackled me, her hooves wrapped around me and she hugged me tightly. The rest of the girls came running and Ella took a couple steps back, letting them all hug me as best they could.
"I... I thought you were gone for good this time..." Rainbow mumbled into me, a hoof on my shoulder made me look up at Applejack.
"But she never gave up, she is the element of loyalty after all." She smiled breifly, but that then turned into a frown. "I never should of givin up on you sugarcube." I sat up, Rainbow still attached to me, and she would not let go.
I looked over at Fluttershy, those aqua eyes looking at me made me smile. "I should be the one apologizing. I left without you girls again, each time I try, I get over protective of you girls. You have just done so much for me, and other ponies, that I couldn't imagine losing any of you." I took a deep breath that was a little shaky, trying not to break down. "Honestly, without you girls, I would be nothing. With your kindness, love, and help, I have changed into the person I am today. This is my home, this is where I belong." I looked over at Ella as she shifted a little nervously, her gaze locked to Twilight. "Did Twilight say anything to you?" Twilight tensed, avoiding both of our gazes and Ella slowly nodded but she smiled.
"I forgive her though. I can see how distraught she was after she thought you were dead." My smile turned into a frown.
"Where will you go Ella?" She sighed and shrugged her shoulders.
"I dunno, perhaps somewhere around here, I can't say for certain. I may have to leave." Rarity then stepped forward and smiled.
"You are more then welcome to stay at the boutique with me if you'd like." Ella looked shocked.
"A- Are you serious?" Rarity just nodded and Ella did the same. "If that's alright with you. Yes, I would love to." Twilight then approached Ella, and she tensed up.
"Ella. I want to apologize for what I said." Ella just stuck her hand out and Twilight did the same with her hoof, letting Ella wrap her hand around it and they shook them. "But anyways, welcome to Ponyville Ella." Ella teared up a little and I stood up, Rainbow still clinging to my chest and Pinkie zoomed over to Ella.
"I need to throw you a 'Welcome to Ponyville party!' There will be cake, games, drinks..." She kept of listing off thing and I just chuckled and put my hand on Pinkies shoulder, the sun was setting and I had an idea.
"How about we have a little campfire. We can have a small celebration, you and Applejack can supply the food, Rainbow and Twilight, you two get the firewood, Fluttershy can find the location, and Rarity can supply blankets and such." All the ponies stared at me before smiling and they nodded, saying the same thing.
"Sure!" They all then split up, leaving me an Ella.
"Alright, I need to grab my guitar and amp." Usually an amp wouldn't do me any good in a forest, but me and Twilight rigged a power supply that ran on magic to the amp, so I could us it anywhere. I walked inside the dark library and up to my room, having lived here long enough I memorized the layout so finding my way in the dark was no problem.
I reached my room and put my guitar into a case, making sure I had a couple picks, my strap and my patch cord. I then picked up my smaller amp and my ipod, a cable let me play the music through the amp so it would be a little better. I then left my room and headed back outside, Fluttershy was back and was talking to Ella. "He is a really good musician, my body tingles when he sings." She then shuddered and I smiled, both girls gazes going over to me.
"Find a spot?" Fluttershy nodded and pointed towards her house.
"Yea, it's not to far from my house, if you remember back to your first official day here." I did, Rainbow had accidentally broken my guitar and I left in anger, not so much at her as it was an accident. Fluttershy had found me and brought me to her house where I told her the story, Rainbow and Twilight coming later and they fixed it. We then sat around a fire and I played some music for the three ponies, from there on out, me and Rainbow became a little closer.
"Yea, but enough of that, lets get going." The two girls nodded and we set off, heading towards Fluttershy's place. We walked in silence, or rather I did, just a bit ahead of the girls as they whispered to each other. I just rolled my eyes. Girls. I smiled as we came across the place, five ponies around the fire. Twilight and Rarity were busy setting up sitting spots, covered in thicker blankets to provide comfort, a small stool that was really a log sat there for my own use I guessed. Pinkie and Applejack had quite a bit of food there for everypony, Rainbow was sitting... Like sitting, like a human would, her hind legs were swinging in front of her and I noticed that the Cutie Mark Crusaders and Spike were there as well, siting the same way Rainbow was, Scootaloo was right next to her. Rainbow's eyes went over to me and she smiled, waving a hoof.
"Hey Marsh!" The three fillies looked over and all three waved as well, Spike was on the other side of the fire but he did give me a 'sup' nod.
"Hey girls, this is going to be an amazing night." I then put my amp next to me and removed my sword, putting my case on the stool and opened it up, taking my guitar out and got all my things I needed. Ella was looking over my shoulder, her eyes glued to my guitar and I put my case down, lightly chuckling as I sat down and plugged it in. Ella sat next to me, the other girls were either looking at me, or getting food. I strummed, getting a feel for it again as the strings ringed out into the night. "It's good to be back." I muttered to myself as I just started playing some chords, getting into a little rhythm.
After a couple minutes, I stopped to put a song on I thought would be good. I scrolled through my songs, when one stood out. The Middle by Jimmy Eat World. As the music came out, all eyes went over to me as I started to play. I held off on singing when I noticed Ella seem a little disappointed and I smirked and began to sing on the chorus.
"It just takes some time, little girl you're in the middle of the ride. Everything, everything will be just fine, everything, everything, will be alright, alright." Her eyes lit up when I sang, my head soon went a little to the beat as I rocked out and soon kicked into the solo. It was little tricky, seeing how I hadn't played it in a while but she was impressed, as was the rest when I ended the solo. After the song ended, applause soon filled my ears, my face flushing from the attention. I then put on a little slower of a song. Resolve by Foo Fighters.
"A little bit of resolve." The end of the last word went on for a couple seconds before the next words came in. "Is what I need now... Pin me down... Show me how..." Then the next line just repeated itself. "A little bit of resolve. Once more year that you're not here, has gone and passed you by, a little bit of resolve." The ending went, repeating itself and soon it ended.
The next song then rolled on, my ears twitching as I recognized it instantly. Tomorrow by Crash Karma. "Rain... Throughout the night. I can't fall asleep lets end this stupid fight. Lie, so wide awake. But it makes no difference, we both make mistakes." I was rocking it, my hands moving over the neck as I jammed to the song. This song makes me wish I brought my bass, but what ever.
When the song was over, I turned my amp off, hoping to take a little break. "Wow... That was amazing Marshall." I looked over at Ella and blushed, a small smile on my face as I stood up and stretched. My stomach growled and I walked over to the small table the girls placed all the food on. I took a couple apple crisps and started to munch on them.
"Applejack, you really outdid yourself with these apple crisps! They're delicious!" I turned around, the farmpony just smiled.
"It was nothin." I then walked back, sitting down again and felt the fires warmth touch me. The girls talking to each other, the crusaders and Spike were roasting marshmallows, talking back and forth and the girls were giggling like mad. As I was about to sit back down, I noticed a figure, standing on the path. I stopped, looking over it, hoping to catch it move, but it stayed still. The talking quieted down, all eyes on me as Twilight spoke.
"Is... Everything alright Marshall?" I didn't acknowledge her, my eyes locked on the figure and my hand glowed, lighting up the area around me and I approached the figure.
"Hey!" I said and the figure stepped forward, into the circle of light and I gasped, my body almost frozen. She blinked as her eyes got used to the light, her hand brushing her feathers on her head away from her face and she looked me right in the eye.
"Hello again Marshall." I was shocked, gasps coming from behind me and I remembered my sword was back at the fire place.
"Gilda?" I whispered and she nodded, taking a deep breath, her eyes going off me and over to Ella. I grit my teeth and stepped to the side. "I told you to leave her alone." She closed her eyes and sighed before sitting back.
"But how can I Marshall? How could I just forget about her, she means so much to me, more so then she would even know." I was confused, my brain trying to process what she was saying when I came to the realization, my jaw hit the floor and she giggled and nodded. "Yes... Ellakatinera... My long lost half sister." Everypony gasped, especially Ella.
"L- lies! You wanted me killed!" Gilda seemed very taken back by this and shook her head.
"What!? No! I wanted you back sister... I missed you so much..." I saw a tear well up in her eye. "It has been so long since I seen you Ella. Ever since the general found out you were a half breed, he wanted you dead. I couldn't do it. So I sent you away to live somewhere else, but when word got out about you, we were ordered to kill you. He never knew who you were related to, but I did. That's why I wanted you back alive, so I could take you away from them forever. Once we found you, I forced you to Ponyville, knowing that sooner or later you would run into Marshall." She then looked at me and gave me a weak smile.
"I knew he would take care of you, no matter what happened." She then took a deep breath. "I realized after our last fight, how amazing of a being he was. He spared my life, even after my griffin pride kicked in to fight till the death, he let me live, gave me another chance to live." She then approached me before I kneeled down and she threw her arms around me. "Can you ever forgive me Marshall?" I put my own arms around her and hugged her.
"I do... But the one you should be asking is sitting over there." I let go and looked over at Ella. They both locked eyes and to my amazement, Ella broke down before running over and tackled Gilda.
"Gilda... I remember it now... I missed you so much..." She wailed and Gilda just wrapped her arms around her sister and they both cried as they shared an intense moment.
"I missed you too dear sister, I shall never let you leave me again!" I smiled as the two sisters were reunited again, my old enemy and my new friend now were back together. I looked up, Luna's moon was high above and I took a deep breath.
"I think that's enough for one day." I turned around and noticed the girls were already putting everything away, Rainbow was flying towards us with a cloud in hoof and dumped it on the fire. Gilda and Ella got up and stood by, talking about something as the other girls left one by one, besides Fluttershy who went inside her house and Twilight who walked home with us. She levitated my stuff so I could light the area with my own magic, all of us walking home in silence. "Ella, you and Gilda can take my bed, I can sleep with Twilight." I then looked down at the purple alicorn. "If that's alright with you."
Twilight just smiled and nodded. "Sure, sounds like a plan." She then looked back at the two griffin sisters and smiled. "They are a lot a like in terms of griffins huh?" She whispered to me and I just chuckled and nodded.
"Yup. I'm just glad Ella is safe, and having Gilda around to keep her company is a bonus." I then put my free hand over Twilight shoulder, holding her close to my leg as we walked, her head on my hip and she smiled while humming a little in her throat.
We soon arrived, and I got the two griffins settled into my bed and turned my attention back to Twilight. "There." Twilight stood by her bed, smiling at me and whispered.
"Spike's not here Marshall." I grinned and bent down, rubbing her chest a little.
"You naughty filly. Those two aren't that far away." She just giggled and her horn glowed, as well as the wall to my room did.
"There, they can't hear anything come from this side of the room." She kissed me on the chin, then the neck and started to nip at me. I put my hands under her forelegs, where I think her... Leg pits were? Anyways I put her onto the bed, her tail covering her intamite area and her hooves tucked to herself as I stripped. She eyed my body, licking her lips and she moaned softly. "I love it when you strip. Its like a taboo to see you with so little clothes on." I grinned and hooked my thumbs around my boxers, her hind legs grinding a little and smirked before I removed my hands, making her whine a little. "Aww..."
I looked at her and blushed. "Could we try something tonight? It's something I always wanted to do." She cocked her head a little, asking 'what'. "I was wondering if I could..." I then got onto the bed, close to her ear. "Suckle your teats like a foal while I fall asleep." She bit her lip, her cheeks flushing and nodded, laying down on her side of the bed and I laid down near her belly. I rubbed my cheek into her belly before latching onto her left nipple and suckled.
"Mmm, goodnight..." I rested my left hand on her mound, gently teasing her clit as I closed my eyes and continued to suck, her milk soon starting to spurt into my awaiting mouth. I drank the warm fluid down and felt sleepy, my eyes closing as I fell asleep suckling on Twilight.
Bet you didn't see that twist of the sisters! I did not include a clop scene with him an Ella because... There will be more chapters for that! Yes, I am writing more! And the little end scene was something I kinda thought about once and decided to put something in. Anyways, hope you enjoyed it, if you did, it would be great if you left a review, or follow/favourite to keep up to date on it!
I will be re-writing/revising the first ten chapters or so, depending if I think the chapter could benefit from it. So the first chapter shouldn't take too long to update, so check back regularly!
